We crossed our paths
The dream slipped away

Will The Truth Come Out One Day?
Will the truth come out one day?
Is what has happened wrong?
Our paths crossed in a funny way
To you I have nothing to say
But with you it's our secret all along
Will the truth come out one day?
If caught, a bad mood you'll display
But our concealing is strong
Our paths crossed in a funny way
I feel bad 'cause with you I didn't stay
But we weren't seeing each other for that long
Will the truth come out one day?
I'm glad it was under you I lay
Because my feelings for him have gone
Our paths crossed in a funny way
From this will I have to pay?
But i'm glad this is still going on
Will the truth come out one day?
Our paths crossed in a funny way

Highway 29
I slipped on her shoe, she was a perfect size 7
I said theres no smokin in the store maamshe crossed her legs and then
We made some small talk thats where it should have stopped
She slipped me her number, I put it in my pocket
My hand slipped up her skirt, everything slipped my mind
In that little roadhouse
On highway 29
It was a small town bank it was a mess
Well I had a gun you know the rest
Money on the floorboards, shirt was covered in blood
And she was cryin, her and me we headed south
On highway 29
In a little desert motel the air was hot and clean
I slept the sleep of the dead, I didnt dream
I woke in the morning, washed my face in the sink
We headed into the sierra madres cross the border line
The winter sun shot thru the black trees
I told myself it was all something in her
But as we drove I knew it was something in me
Something that had been comin for a long time
And something that was here with me now
On highway 29
The road was filled with broken glass and gasoline
She wasnt sayin nothin, it was just a dream
The wind was coming silent thru the windshield
All I could see was snow, sky and pines
I closed my eyes and was runnin
I was runnin then I was flyin

Two Stars
Passing through night’s dark skies,
two stars crossed paths.
Each blazing flare,
gave hint to destined goal.
Briefly two courses merged,
as though communicating.
The elder star’s task complete.
The other, long life, lie ahead.
The tail of one began to dim,
hinting at growing old.
Soon, disappeared from sight.
Lost, midst star clustered canopy,
The fledgling burning brightly,
sailed along on course.
Time was drawing near,
its date with destiny to keep.
Two stars crossed paths
One a tired soul,
reaching for the heavens.
Another sought the earth,
to kindle life anew.

From The Heart
(carly simon)
One of us slipped last night
And said darling?
There in the middle of the night
Between dream and sleep
Did you say it or did i
I dont know
But it interrupted the war
Thats the way
These cold wars are
I love you we said
Or one of us did
And the other agreed
>from the heart
One of us slipped last night
And said sorry?
There in the middle of the madness
Between the dark and the light
Who cares if all the doors had been closed
And no love had entered for days
Cold wars like these go up in a blaze
I love you we said
Or one of us did
And the other agreed
>from the heart
Thru the haze of the dream
The truth could come thru
You can see that Im still
Open to you
I love you
I love you we said from the heart

Second thoughts of the past
Her soft hands half-open
About to touch mine
I shapes some words inside my mouth
My tongue almost slipped
But I stopped the conceived utterance
We left without saying goodbye
We traveled paths
That never crossed again
I sometimes think this time
What if she touched my hand
They were trembling
What if I uttered the words
Necessary for said occasion
“I love you, please do not go! ”
Why did I close my mouth that day
Why did she not touch me?
Love should have won.

In A Small Moment
(carly simon)
In a small moment
She accepted credit for something she did not do
She said shed done the water color in her bedroom
But it was done by a friend from school
Just a little lie
No one would discover
At least not very soon
In a small moment
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it just slipped on by
In a small moment
In a restaurant where she worked the late night shift
She short changed a sailor and made five
You could never really call it a theft
Just a little lie
Swept up in her apron and kept as a well deserved gift
In a small moment
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it just slipped on by
In a small moment
She cheated on her lover and placed it in the back of her mind
As long as nobody knew the truth about her
It could never really be unkind
Just a little lie
That slipped beside her as she tossed and turned in her alibis
In a small moment
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it just slipped on by
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it jsut slipped on by
Slipped on by

Hero
its not like I wouldnt dream, if you had not shown the way
its not like I wouldnt fight, not knowing bout your life
its not like I wouldnt stand, right here with you my friends
but you thru us all a line, when our days slipped away
you gave us of your time
cause you were my hero, my Friday night
you wrote the soundtrack to my life
and gave me something to hold on to
when I was growing up you were the rock
in my life
its not like I live my days by every word you spoke
like Im up every night drinking with your ghost
its not like I cant look back without moving on
but you thru us all a line when our days slipped away
you gave us of your time
cause you were my hero, my Friday night
you wrote the soundtrack to my life
and gave us kids a chance to dream
days when I had enough, you were the rock
in my life
(solo)
you still throw me that line, as my days slipped away
you give me of your time
You still my hero, my Friday night
You wrote the soundtrack to my life
You give me something to hold on to
As Im still growing up you are the rock
In my life

Who's That Girl, Who Is She?
You will love the way she walks
You will love the way she talks,
Her touch will tingle your skin
She is truly your lottery win,
Your dream girl that you did find
Everything fits perfect in your mind.
You paths have crossed by fate,
Who is this girl that you did date?
It’s in the cards you cannot tarry
She’s the one,
......................that you will marry!

Cross My Heart
First time I crossed my heart I was beggin baby, please
At your bedside, down on my knees
When I crossed my heart
When I crossed my heart
I crossed my heart, pretty baby over you
Second time I crossed my heart rain came in from the south
I was lyin there with something sweet and salty in my mouth
When I crossed my heart
When I crossed my heart
When I crossed my heart, pretty darlin over you
Well, you may think the worlds black and white
And youre dirty or youre clean
You better watch out you dont slip
Through them spaces in between
Where the night gets sticky and the sky gets black
I grabbed you, baby, and you grabbed me back
And we crossed our hearts
We crossed our hearts
Yeah, I crossed my heart...
Little boys, little girls
They know their wrongs from their rights
Once you cross your heart
You aint ever supposed to lie
Well, life aint nothin but a cold hard ride
I aint leavin til Im satisfied
I cross my heart
Yeah, I cross my heart
Well, I cross my heart, pretty darlin over you

Woman of My Dreams
And there she was before me
Glorious
Just like in my dreams
I ran toward her
She slipped away
Into the night she went
To a place I could not follow
But I could still dream of her
And I did

I Had A Dream
I had a dream last night
Last night I had a dream
Everything was black and white
And it smelled like gasoline
We stood in the corner
And I held you tight
I kissed your mouth
Till my head got light
Last night when I had a dream
I had a dream last night
Last night I had a dream
Birds were flying left and right
Thru the light of a movie screen
Everyone was looking
For something to do
I even thought
I had a chance with you
Last night when I had a dream

So Many Times
So many times love has crossed my door
and in the night slipped quietly away.
So many times dreams have based themselves with me,
and then faded with the dawning of the day.
So many times, I asked for an angel,
who came briefly before flying away.
So many times, I have asked for things
to fill my life with joy.
So many times, I have been denied
that I don’t ask for anything anymore.

One Night Stand
It was an ordinary night
At least it started out that way
Two ordinary people
Sharing thoughts at the end of the day
Was it the wine that made her sparkle made her shine
I crossed that line it was only meant to be
A one night stand
Here I am with empty hands
Wasnt looking for love and I knew from the start
It was a one night stand
She was only passing through
But it suited me just fine
Emotional attachment never crossed my mind
Was it the light that played a trick on my mind
I crossed that line it was only meant to be
She was only passing through

Love-Lost
When the first sweet burst of love and lust
Has eddied and ebbed to dreams and dust,
Has eddied and ebbed in the tide of my head
To the essence of dreams and dust;
And once the passionate nights are spent
In sipping the wine the gods repent,
In sipping the wine that's tipping my mind
To find that my mind is spent;
And when the smile that you have for me
Has slipped and dipped for eternity,
Has slipped and dipped in the wayward shift
Of the love that you have for me;
I think I'll sit and I'll sigh at night
To drift and dream to the dawning light,
To drift and dream in the dreams and dust
That I hold of you in the candlelight.

I Have Crossed the Mile
I have crossed the mile
With patience and perseverance
I have crossed the mile
pushing beyond my limits
hoping against hope.
I have crossed the mile
Like a crawling snail on a parched land,
I have counted every step
and every second to draw me closer
to the end of the line.
I have crossed the mile
Like a sportsman on a race,
I have run without stopping
gasping for my last breath
yet smiling to discover
that I have crossed the mile.

Paths 2
Some paths lead to dead ends,
some lead to pastures new,
but whatever path you take
it is always up to you.
Some paths are filled with beauty
colourfully decorated on either side.
Some paths are not so cheerful
and gloom hangs from every branch.
Some paths are well worn
where many feet have gone through.
Some paths have not been ventured on
and these always hold something new,
but whatever path you take
it is always up to you.

A Sweet Dream
every night i go to bed with the thought of u in my head,
every night when i close my eyes i dream of u and the time flys by,
i dream the same dream every night your holding me in your arms telling me 'everything is gonna be alright',
but then the sun comes up and the dream has to end,
i cant wait to go to bed and dream that sweet dream again.

There Were The Lips You Kissed
You kissed but for a day
And eyes glittering hope of the future
That there was no time to fulfill
There were the hours you counted
You counted but for a day
And they slipped away into the next dawn
And you were left alone
There were the eyes you met
You met and knew but for a day
That told you everything about the eyes
And a vision long haunting into dust
There were the paths you walked
You walked but for a day
And the paths turned the day
Into the life long journey
Now travel and hope for some more time

I dream my own dream
When I dream of love,
I dream about you..
When I dream about happiness,
I dream about my families..
When I dream of pain,
I dream about all the sadness inside me..
When I dream of horror,
I dream about the nightmare that would
wake me up in the middle of night..
When I dream about the death,
I dream myself crying in sleep..
When I dream a dream,
I dream all those thing
that are real and not real..
I dream about all the thing
that are in my mind,
I dream about all the thing
that I desire for..
I dream my own dream..
