Younger Years
Ninety Eight pounds soaking wet,
A Pirates treasure in a blouse, a true sunken chest.
Legs that seemed to have no beginning or end,
Uglyness viewed, she hadn't a friend.
Cinderella for Mom, Tom Boy for Dad,
Left to herself, of feelings alone and sad.
Abused by men that she loved beyond words,
Run away child, with her youths stollen years.
No one to talk to, back in those days,
Who would have believed, what this little girl would say?
Wasn't something you spread to neighbors or friends,
Just kept it all inside,
Where childrens pain have no end.
Mothers mid-life crisis she bore,
She did all of Mom's work, she did all her chores.
Scrubbing and cleaning, cooking and such,
No childhood memories, just a little girl out of touch.
Pretty girl hoped one day soon to be,
That was never a thought of hers,
Always told, 'Your as ugly as they'd ever seen! '
Zits on her face, spreading and ready too pop!
She prayed, 'All that's Holy, when will this ever stop? '
Then one day as if none of this was,
A butterfly emerged, from lifes' pain that was caused.
Slender of body, and long silky brown hair,
Blue green of eyes, and large breasts did appear.
Her smile as bright, as the sun shine of day,
Skin clear with rose of cheeks, all flaws gone away.
She now looks in her mirror, but still is dark of her view,
Growing pains and her scars, still remain as if new.

Who's the Girl?
Who's the girl in the mirror?
Who's the girl in the frame?
Who's the girl with the smile that has faded off her face?
Who's the girl with the tears slowly rolling off her cheeks?
Who's the girl that cared about you?
Who's the girl that gave up everything?
Who's the girl that can't smile?
Who's the girl that's in denial?
Who's the girl that hit the ground, thinking that you'd catch her now?
Who's the girl that was betrayed?
Who's the girl that's in pain?
Who's the girl in the shadows?
Who's the girl in the shade?
Who's the girl whose light can't shine?
Who's the girl that's been left behind?
Who's the girl in that world that's been left? , There's no doubt.... she's not there.
Who's the girl that was once deep inside your heart?
Who's the girl that has cried and slowly died inside her mind?
Who's the girl you've forgotten?
Who's the girl you have hurt?
Who's the girl that has left?
Who's the girl?
Who is she?
You've forgotten her....

There's a girl in the mirror!
There's a girl in the mirror
Staring back at me
I don't even know who she is
But by heck! She's ugly
There's a girl in the mirror
Standing very still
She's pale and she looks afraid
I think she might be ill
There's a girl in the mirror
She'd never win a prize
She looks very depressed
You can tell it by her eyes
There's a girl in the mirror
Looks like she needs a friend
I don't have many myself
But I guesse my self I can lend
To the girl in the mirror
I step towards to comfort her
I see her coming closer
But now she's becoming a bit of a blur
Now the girl in the mirror
Has left me on my own
Here I stand in a dark, cold room
Feeling very alone

All Different Girls
Pretty girl, who is to blame
Frightened girl, they don't know her name
Saddened girl, who cries at night
Distant girl, who's out of sight
Psycho girl, with scars on her wrists
Fairytale girl, who don't exist
Silent girl, without a name
Ignored girl, who's filled with shame
Faking girl, with plastic smiles
Freakish girl, from a thousand miles
Emotionless girl, cant feel much pain
Darkened girl, who brings the rain
Crying girl, tears start to flood
Psychotic girl, who drains her blood
Hated girl, who no one loves
Such a weak girl, who's no longer though
Angry girl, there is no cure
Happy girl, she is no more
Hidden girl, she covers her scars
Prisoned girl, lived behind her life's bars
Crazy girl, who bleeds so much
Lonely girl, who's out of touch
Stupid girl, who no one likes
Beaten girl, who always fights
Pretty girl, don't give up now
Suicide girl, there's someway, somehow
Scared girl, don't be afraid
Distant girl, don't go away
Morbid girl, don't die tonight
Worried girl, it'll be alright
Stoner girl, tonight she'll smoke her sorrow
Alcoholic girl, she'll drink tomorrow
Furious girl, who has no more faith
Depressed girl, who cries and aches
Fallen girl, with broken wings
Disturbed girl, fell off the swing
Pretty girl, you are my friend
Aching girl, just try to mend
Ugly girl, not like before
Beautiful girl, she is no more
Pretty girl, who made her life end
Pretty girl...no...Not again..

A Girl Named Paige
A girl named Paige
With eyes and a face so bright
A girl named Paige
Came into my dreary life
My life, so dark
So full of strife
A girl named Paige
About her I was told
To keep me away until I was old
A girl named Paige
A lesson she did teach
For me to keep sight of my reach
A girl named Paige
Broke my heart
As my world fell apart
A girl named Paige
Perfectly took the part
While adding another fool to her cart
A girl named Paige
Shook my whole world
My eyes were on no other girl
A girl named Paige
Fooled me into loving her
While she secretly lusted another, and another
A girl named Paige
Caused me endless pain
Of this, I'm not ashamed
A girl named Paige
Made me go insane
This girl is love's bane
A girl named Paige
Caused me to do so much
To love her such
A girl named Paige
Made my heart bleed
The woe of pain it did heed
A girl named Paige
I'll never be the same
In that group, she came
A girl named Paige
I loved a whole whole lot
A feeling she returned, did not
A girl named Paige
Others showed me how she was
She screws around just because
A girl named Paige
Has had several boyfriends
She shares between her and her best friend
A girl named Paige
Is sleeping around
Like her mother, she's been around town
A girl named Paige
Has 4 sisters
If you see her vermin family, you surely won't miss her
A girl named Paige
I felt so much emotion
Caused so much devastation
A girl named Paige
Fooled me she loved me so
She can't fool anyone no more
A girl named Paige
Has no future for her
She'll be working as a stripper
A girl named Paige
Will have a horrible existence
For her whole being is full of pestilence
A girl named Paige
Makes you love
A false gift from above
A girl named Paige
Should be gone from this world
She gives a bad name to all other girls
For Paige G.
With love, Joseph

Sorry Little Girl
SORRY LITTLE GIRL THAT YOU CRY
SORRY LITTLE GIRL THAT HE WENT AWAY
SORRY LITTLE GIRL YOU CARRY SO MUCH PAIN
SORRY LITTLE GIRL IT DIDN'T WORK OUT YOUR WAY
SORRY LITTLE GIRL YOU WILL SEE HIM SOMEDAY
SORRY LITTLE GIRL FOR YOUR TEARS
SORRY LITTLE GIRL I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE
SORRY LITTLE GIRL I LOST MY MIND
SORRY LITTLE GIRL I'M NOT THE ONE YOU CAN LEAN ON
SORRY LITTLE GIRL I CRY TOO
SORRY LITTLE GIRL I CAN'T TAKE BACK THAT DAY
YOU KNOW I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU
SORRY LITTLE GIRL I COULDN'T WAKE HIM UP, LIKE YOU ASK ME TO
LITTLE GIRL HE LOVES YOU AND YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE
LITTLE GIRL JUST LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER HE IS RIGHT BEHIND YOU
LITTLE GIRL PLEASE DON'T CRY ANYMORE
IT MAKES ME SAD TO SEE YOU IN SO MUCH PAIN, I WISH YOU WERE STILL FOUR WHEN A KISS WOULD STILL FIX EVERYTHING

The girl in the mirror stared back at me.
Unflinching.
Eyes blood shot.
Cheeks stained with tears and sweat.
Her hands dangled weakly, swollen
and splattered with blood.
Matted hair sprung from her head and the black circles
made her eyes seem all the more sunken. Desperate.
She was small. Shriveled.
All hope sucked from her soul and left a scar
across her gray face like a tree branch
reaching for the sun but anchored by the abandoned
body of a young girl whose heart
had long ago stopped beating.
the fallen soldier of a country whose world
had fought against it. A country of Purity.
And this girl raised a cut and bruised arm
and lifted the mask from her face. Hesitantly.
The scars faded.
They left tiny white lines on my arms and face.
And my eyes cleared;
Hope glistening from them
and making my skin glow.
My hair curled softly.
My hands healed and were cleansed.
A slight pink stain rested on my fingers
My flesh was watered back to life.
And I smiled.
A weak, crooked sort of smile.
My teeth were not in their places
and a few were chipped,
but I loved the sight of that broken grin.

You Were Right Girl
Its hard to say how long its been, but once upon a time
You were my best friend, Im sorry I hurt you but I loved him, loved him
You said Id get hurt in the end, you tried to warn me with good advice
Instead of listening, I paid the price, yes I did, you told me back then
You said hell love you, leave you, you said his heart was cold as ice
And you were right girl, yes, he played me for a fool, (you were right girl)
Hmm, it all came true, (you were right girl), I know
I should have known it all along, (you were right girl)
Yes, you were right and I was wrong, I thought you blamed him for your mistakes
That all your put downs were just sour grapes, you told me back then
That theyll be lyin, cryin and it wont be his heart that breaks
And ooh, (you were right girl) you were right girl
He played me for a fool, (you were right girl) oh
It all came true, you were (you were right girl) right girl
Yes, I should have known it all along (you were right girl)
You were right girl, you were right and I was wrong
Oh, what made me think that I was different from you
That I could make him do what he wouldnt do for you
Now you told me back then Id never change him, change him
But hed change me before hes through, and ooh (you were right girl)
You were right girl, he played me for a fool, he really did
(you were right girl) well, it all came true, (you were right girl)
You were so right, I should have known it all along (you were right girl)
Oh, yes, you were right and I was wrong, oh, (you were right girl)
He really played me for a fool, (you were right girl)
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, it all came true (you were right girl)
Yeah, (you were right girl) you were right girl
I should have known it all along, (you were righ girl)
You were right girlfriend, you were right and I was wrong, woo, woo, woo
(you were right girl) you were right my girl, (you were right girl)
You were right my girl, he played me for a great big fool

The Bad Pretty Girl
I am the pretty one,
the one the girls hate
and the boys pant for
and I stand aloof because
there is no room for me to be
who I am.
All I get is people reacting
to how I look
and I see them whisper
'She's so stuck up.'
I am not.
I am lonely and superior to them
that make these kinds of comments.
So all day I have to take the stares
and the mini-hatreds
just because I am pretty.
I like being pretty
it comes easy to me;
takes no effort.
My hair is beautiful and I don't have to do anything to it.
My skin is good. Thank God, no zits
My figure is good
but I get the comments when I walk through-
the Neanderthals always make comments-
and I cannot help it if my parents are rich.
So I am trapped behind this wall.
I don't have to study hard to get good grades;
this school is easy.
I don't have to work hard for anything.
Things just come to me.
But it has made a prison for me
and because I don't have to get smart
or work hard-
I can get by on my looks.
My teachers like me-
one too much,
so in the end I am doing what I hate
others do-
seeing me only in terms of how I look
and I realize I am doing the same thing to myself.
I am my looks. I am trapped.
So when boys try to talk to me I clam up
because I think there is only one thing they want.
And most of the time I am right. They do-just want
one thing.
Other's of them just want to say I am their girl friend
even if that is not true just so they can brag to their friends.
Some of them lie and claim they had you, or you
are lesbian just because you don't like them.
I am the pretty girl and most times that is pretty sad.
So I don't talk to anyone except other pretty girls.
They understand. They have the pretty girl thing too.
So we stand around sometimes and think we are superior
but we also think secretly we might be inferior and lonely too
and who is going to feel sorry for the pretty girl? Nobody that's who.
So I dated the football guy who was pretty too. It seemed he would
understand-handsome and pretty, the same thing I thought.
Boy was I wrong. He was his mothers' boy and only liked me
because he thought there was prestige in it. And I did it for
the same reason. We both were boring when alone and tried to
look like the super couple when people were around.
I was bored and truth be told I was also boring.
I had nothing to say and all's he wanted to talk about was football
and sex.
I told him no.
And then he latched onto my best friend, well I called her my best friend, but
we were not really friends. We just sorta hung out together.
My real best friend was Alma for a while. She was the ugly sidekick
pretty girls seem to attract. All she wanted to do was be with me. She did
everything I asked her to, sometimes without me even asking. I began to think that just maybe being pretty was being superior. People like Alma
made it easy to think that. She seemed to think I was superior.
I used to lie to her about all the boys coming on to me and things they said and she believed those lies. I felt I had to tell the stories because the stories seemed to mean so much to her. Besides telling her the phony stories gave me a fantasy life to make up for my real one.
We were a good pair of friends for a while until Alma told me one day about her love. Her love for me. And I realized she was not talking about friend love.
That's another thing, you get come ons from both genders and some like Alma turn into stalkers. She lied and told her friend that we had been together. A total lie.
That is why high school is prison camp for the pretty girl.
I broke down one day while talking to Geek Billy who came over to my house to fix my computer. He was rad-geek and shorter than me and I never really considered him a real person or anything so I was talking like he was not even there. I was saying 'why me, why does everyone hate me? '
He started yammering that he didn't hate me, and put his arm around me. I looked up and saw that he was not trying to jump my bones, he really was trying to comfort me like he understood and all that. It was laughable you know. I was so above him and everything but he seemed that day like a real person to me for just a tiny minute.
He left and I lay on my bed and wrote into my diary-'Geek boy loves me.'
I wrote: 'I am the pretty girl no one likes because I am above them.'

Trapped in Pain
I feel pain for the girl in me who was forced to grow up before her time
For the girl that has kept every hurt and secrete trapped inside
For the girl that never knew wat love was really like
cus those who sed they did was only telling her a lie
I feel pain for the girl that has suffered O' so much
I feel pain for the girl that cries out just to feel her mothers touch
I feel pain for the girl that has gone through, wat no one will ever get
I feel pain for the little girl who still hasn't felt a certain love yet
I feel for that girl who won't let
people in because of her mind set
because of the people in HER life
I feel for that girl
This little girl's been trapped inside

The Girl Who Is Me
Me
A simple word
Yet at the same time
Complicated
Describes a girl who was born
On the 25th of June in 1994
A girl who was two days early
Me
The girl who would
Walk down the street carrying Barney
And holding mommy’s hand
And as she walked in the store
The clerks would ask her
If she was ready for her daily m&m’s
Me
The girl who thought
She was betrothed at five
The girl who got into kindergarten early
Because she was “smart”
The girl who couldn’t tell at first
Whether her first best friend
Was a boy or a girl
Because her hair was so short
Me
The girl who always got good grades
The girl whose reading level
Was above average
The girl who was in love
With beanie babies
Me
The girl who felt trapped
By the arms of her father
The girl who had to
Change the weekends
So that she could stop the sickness
Me
The girl who went to seventh grade
Ready to have fun
And make new friends
The girl who went all through
Junior high with nothing less
Than A’s and B’s
Me
The girl who started high school
With fear of failure
The girl who soon found out
That it wasn’t all that bad
Me
The girl who got hurt
By someone else’s mistake
The girl who, for the longest time
Thought maybe she should
Just give up
But refused to anyway
Even though it was easy
Me

Don’t fall little girl
Don’t let them see you cry
Stand tall little girl
Keep your head held high

Don’t express little girl
Don’t let them see the pain in your eyes
Walk on little girl
Walk through all those pitiful lies
~
Don’t forget little girl
Don’t let them do it to you once more
Protect yourself little girl
There’s plenty more in store

Don’t hate little girl
That’s what they want you to do
Smile bright little girl
Try you’re hardest to be true
~
Don’t wait little girl
The world will move on without you
Move on little girl
Do what you need to do
~
Don’t look back little girl
You cant change your past
Open your eyes little girl
Enjoy the world while it lasts

Live life little girl
Cause you only got one
Laugh loudly little girl
And put down you damn gun

You’re me little girl
Haven’t we learned a lot?
But your also them little girl
In each of us you have fought

Some call you hope, little girl
You glow dim then turn bright

The Mirror is The Memory
reflect deflect just search inside,
girl why not take a look in mirror please!
deflect shield,
who are you protect from the horrors of your past,
just take a look in the mirror please!
dry up raise seeds so that how it may appear,
just take a second look, god is know to work miracles
just take a look in the mirror please.
third of the month and you know what that mean,
and no reason for the rag,
well i told you to look in the mirror.
after all this year you follow see what i see,
so how do you feel to look at the mirror after all this years,
beauty is only skin deep so what is thick techincally view as unattracitve this days,
GIRL I TOLD YOU TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR?
DO YOU DREAM AS WELL?
CAUSE I CAN TAKE YOU A WAY.....
MANY WOMAN MIGHT
SAY I HEARD IT SOME GOOD MAN LEFT,
NOW YOU CAN SAY SO I HAVE HEARD SO?
SO TELL ME WHOS THE PERSON IN MIRROR,
AND CAN YOU SAY SHE BEAUTFIUL.

For Those of You Who Don't Know Me
I'm the girl who holds this smile,
which is not near the truth,
I'm the girl who sits next to you,
I'm the girl who begs the Lord:
'Free me of thinking it's O.K.
to hide my feelings and emotions.'
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who falls asleep crying,
I'm the girl who's good at 'lying',
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who says she's O.K.
but look in her eyes,
hear her voice,
there's a different story,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who looks happy on the outside,
but if you felt how I feel on the inside,
then...you'd understand,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who listens,
the girl who has sympathy and empathy,
the girl who has her own problems...but would rather hear yours,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who hurts on the inside,
but smiles on the outside,
so...
remember, when you look at me with a smile,
and I smile back,
know there is something more,
more to that smile,
I am that girl.
There are SO many people who say:
'Oh, she looks so happy! '
So THAT'S why I wrote this poem,
for those of you who don't know me...

She stands so eleganty,
she stands so pretty,
pretty girl is suffering,
pretty girl is drowning,
Elegantly she floats through the last of her days.
Pretty girl drinks it all down,
Pretty girl passes out,
pretty girl doesn't cry out,
she screams in silence,
she stands alone in a crowded room,
no room for any more pain.
She lays there so quietly, she lays there so innocently,
Innocence lost, losing her own battle, a fight she can't seem to win,
Pretty girl so skinny,
Pretty girl so sickly,
Pretty girl is drowning.
Her memories haunt so elegantly,
She used to stand so pretty,
Pretty girl sufferers no more,
She rinces it all down,
Pretty girl poured her life out.

My Little Is Gone (But Not Forgotten)
I walked the line of self-destruction,
and self-mutilation,
my insanity was legendary,
and my madness took over my body and soul,
and than you walked into my life,
with a bright little smile,
and so curious,
you loved every minute of your life,
your friends,
your school,
and your teachers,
but know I look at the empty chair,
and I wonder what could have been,
what kind of life that you could of had,
if you hadn't felt the way that you did,
Chorus: My Little Girl IS Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten
Me you and your mother,
spent each day living life to the fullest,
unaware of the demons in your pretty little skull,
unaware of the hate that you had for this world,
the hate that you had for yourself,
that was destroying your mind,
body spirit and soul,
and destroying the love that you had for us,
I couldn't imagine,
life without you with us here,
in this life,
But what are we to do,
It’s so hard and so sad,
its like we can't move on,
Daddy has grown insane,
and Mommy's not far behind him,
Chorus: My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
The pain will never go away,
and I'll never dry my tears,
that rolls down my cheeks when I think of you,
that void in my heart and soul will always be there,
where you used to rest,
the part of me that can never be repaired,
I'll always have you in my heart,
in my body,
and in my soul.,
Life Fades,
but that doesn’t mean love has to,
Little Girl,
you'll always be in my heart,
my body and my soul,
but mostly you will always have a safe home,
in my heart,
I'd never think I'd feel like this,
strange to be like this,
strange to feel this alone,
but you know,
we will cross paths once more,
in the great beyond,
Chorus: My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
She’s always going to be our little girl,
she’s always going to be our little angel,
she’s always going to be our little Sarah,
she’s always going to rest in our hearts,
Mommy and me will get by,
Well be looking for you up in heaven,
when we finally get there,
were going to be looking for you, Babygirl,
We'll be looking for our little angel..
Chorus: My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
My Little Girl Is Gone,
But Not Forgotten,
Little girl,
you'll never be forgotten,
mommy and daddy still love you,
and will always love you,

Lies My Abuser Told Me
my abuser said,
nobody would ever love me,
i believed him,
so i pushed ppl away,
he said i was to blame,
i believed it,
becuz i was just a kid,
he said i was his special little girl,
i felt like it at times,
but it was not worth the pain i feel now,
he said nobody will believe me,
he was right,
nobody did believe me at the time,
he said i was only good for one thing,
i believed him,
i was his special little girl,
he said i was pretty,
it was the reason he liked me alot,
and treated me differently,
he said and he told me,
all of these things plus more,
i was a child,
it was hard to figure out,
what was right and wrong,
when you consently being told,
do you trust me?
there should be no problem,
but these words still ring in my mind,
how can i trust somebody,
who leaves me in pain when we done?
how can i trust somebody,
who force a child to do something,
they clearly don't want to do?
how can you trust somebody,
who continue to put you down,
just so you feel like you doing something wrong,
how can you trust somebody,
who gives a child a beer just so she will loosen up?
when tears were falling down my face,
and i was begging you to stop,
did you even ease up just once?
no you didn't,
you forced my head down on you,
and told me to stop crying,
who does that?
you selfish prick,
i hope you rot in hell.

The Magic Mirror
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Who’s the fairest fair of all?
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Who’s the smartest head of all?
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Who’s that girl standing tall?
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Who's to hold me when I fall?
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Why are you not answering my call?
Oh mirror...
The lines and the scars you do not hide;
My scattered thoughts you would not guide.
Me myself and I; the gap so wide.
Oh mirror; you make me look inside!
You show me a girl against the tide,
By the rules she would not abide.
Within your frame, a caged spirit am I?
By your name, what voice have I?
Oh mirror … can you hear me?
My mirror is deceiving me!
I will show you my smile... will you let me?
A star in my eyes... will you get me?
I will show you a happy face... please let me!
A shelter from myself... please get me!
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Do not show me her face;
I have killed her and left no trace.
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
She shall never stutter;
With a new voice, words she will utter.
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Her fear you shall never show;
Fearless she is to know.
Mirror... mirror on the wall,
Do not point at her scars;
It hurts... not her scars.
Oh mirror...
There is no Santa but tell her not;
Dreams are dreams but wake her not.
She will give in... tell her not to.
She will give up... tell her not to.
Cruel mirror...
Why show me a figure so broken?
Why tell me words unspoken?
My mirror...
Every time I look at you
I miss a line in her face.
Every time I come to you
A part of her I erase.
Every time I need you
I abandon her grace.
So my mirror..
Where is the little fat girl that you used to show me?
Where are the frightened eyes that used to look at me?
Is she still hiding her smile with her hand?
Is she still looking for a magic wand?
You loved her not;
You loved me a lot!
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
What have I done?
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Where has she gone?
Mirror … mirror on the wall,
Which way do I run?
Yes mirror...
How I wish I could give you my back
and never look at you again.
How I wish I could leave you on a rack
and never fall for your tricks again.
Oh mirror... Why can’t you lie?
Why don’t you tell me that I am the fairest fair of all?
Why don’t you tell me that I am the smartest head of all?
Why don’t you let me stand proud and tall?
Will you at least be there when I fall?
Oh … Mirror … mirror on the wall …
Why are you not answering my call?
