You Small City

You, small city
Covered by blue sky
And brown fence

I curse you

You, small city
A wide gate to death
And a doom of health

I curse you

You, small city
Full of mistrust
And breakage of vows

I curse you.

Tale of Three Cities

New York blasted London blasted
Singapore -
Ripped off each other's metaphoric balls,
Crumbling walls.

Priapic city monoliths -
Blue-sky scraping bastards -
Shout about their height (but really length) .

V8 arseholes didn't care -
Pumping shit into the air,
So long as they were always there to
Fart aloud a smoggy cloud,
Laughing at the weak asthmatic,
Humoured that it seems traumatic.

Watch the greedy cities oozing
Chair-bound fat committees, though they
Look a bunch of titties as they
Waffle on about the pound.

Ever thought to look around and see
That they were dead?

I Am Not Going To Tell You The Name Of The City

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which my steps are still searching for me.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
whose bridges are longer than life.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
under whom even the sky was like a tent.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which I learned to start up a new journey as soon as I arrive.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
which is never to grow old.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which I met the eyes with the color of the sky.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which I was knocking on my own doors from inside.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
which was a cage far too small for my wings.

One with Darkness

When ever I go out I go out fighting
Screaming for chance to finally end up dying
I have to murder to fulfill my end of this deal
Death is imminent, but something that I’ll never feel.

This is my curse, this is my curse
Sign upon the bloody line I should’ve thought of first
This is my curse, this is my curse
This is my curse, this is my curse
Killing for a living this can’t get any worse
This is my curse, this is my curse

How can I ever love someone else
When murder is my life, and I can’t even love myself
Every night I wake up next to another dead whore
Someone please stop me I don’t want to murder anymore

The City is Short Today

The city is short today
and it can’t be anymore
than just a few blocks wide today
and the city is grey today,
grey and cold
and the city is short today
the skyscrapers,
only a few inches tall now,
sway back and forth,
caught in the grasp of a
sharp, cutting wind,
the sky scrapers rankle me today
and the city is short today
and the people walk about today
like zombies,
tiny zombies,
their faces and clothes
lack any colour,
and they resemble ants,
they wait on the street corner,
waiting for a miniscule bus
to take them out of this
tiny city
and the city is short today,
and grey
and cold
and small,
so very small
and yet, it towers over me.

Small City

She lived in a small city,
where the streetlights turn off
at 3am.
Where every store is closed except
for 3-4.
Sit outside at midnight, it's completely
quiet.
You could hear your breathing.
Everyone knew each other, gossip
rushes around quickly.
Groups of different kids around,
they're easy to spot when you
drive around.
But living in a big city like Winnipeg,
there's never any quiet time.
Wishing to move to a big city,
just makes you miss the small city.
Whatever you really want, usually
it's like everything else you have except
newer.
You sit outside, you could hear everything
in the air.
Just complete silence, maybe a car or two.
Everyone here is family. Sort of

C03 The Fall of Jericho

As Jericho's gates were shut,
To keep the Israelites out.
None could leave or enter
The guarded city's border.

Joshua knew not what to do?
Then, God gave him a clue.
'Soon, you'll take it over,
And it’ll be yours forever.'

'Listen, you march around,
With your soldiers behind,
For six days, once a day,
From where you all stay.'

'Let seven priests,
With their trumpets,
Go in front of this
Holy Covenant Box.'

'On the seventh day,
Follow the same way,
But then, go seven rounds,
With priests' trumpet sounds.'

'Finally, let them sound a long note,
A signal for all of you to shout,
In one voice, that'll vibrate,
And push the city walls out.'

'Easy will be your work.
The open city, you can take.
Into the city, you can walk.
Thus, you fulfill your task.'

Every God's command,
Joshua kept in his mind.
He obeyed what God said.
At the end, success it paid.

They killed without pity,
Every life in the city.
Then the city, they burnt.
Inside when they went.

But Joshua spared the lives
Of Rahab and her relatives,
As she helped two spies,
Who stayed in her house.

Joshua issued a warning,
'If anyone there is trying
To build the city again
It'll be considered a sin.'

'God's curse they'll get
By doing this sinful act,
Hear, this is God's curse
And all of you note this.'

'Whoever lays the foundation,
Will lose his eldest son.
Whoever builds the gates,
Will lose his youngest.'

So, God kept up His word.
And He did what all He said.
Joshua's fame spread far and wide,
By the grace of the Lord.

The Big City Type

I woke up in a big city apartment

Rode to a big city job

On a big city subway

With hip, big city people

Worked at a big city job

In a big city skyscraper

Stood in a big city line

For lunch, heard big city jazz

On a big city radio station

It was like a big city scene

In a big budget movie

When I realized I had become

The big city type

I always wanted to be

Yet I was still me

The Curse Of The Wandering Foot

All hope of rest withdrawn me?--
What dread command hath put
This awful curse upon me--
The curse of the wandering foot!
Forward and backward and thither,
And hither and yon again--
Wandering ever! And whither?
Answer them, God! Amen.

The blue skies are far o'er me---
The bleak fields near below:
Where the mother that bore me?--
Where her grave in the snow?--
Glad in her trough of a coffin--
The sad eyes frozen shut
That wept so often, often,
The curse of the wandering foot!

Here in your marts I care not
Whatsoever ye think.
Good folk many who dare not
Give me to eat and drink:
Give me to sup of your pity--
Feast me on prayers!--O ye,
Met I your Christ in the city
He would fare forth with me--

Forward and onward and thither,
And hither again and yon,
With milk for our drink together
And honey to feed upon--
Nor hope of rest withdrawn us,
Since the one Father put
The blessed curse upon us--
The curse of the wandering foot.

Rock the City

Rock the city that sleeps on Ravi
Rock the city that has absorbed the shocks
Rock the city and let not it shed a tear
Vampires' nails clutch the hearts out
Evil spirits you have created more
Paraded dead under the shower of roses
Fight the evil inside and for the curse
To the shrine of saint repent the sins past

Rock the city for your visions
Like to the infinite you want landscapes
They have blasted the martyrs’ homes
Serially you have silenced any grief
The children of the dark have become
Frankenstein you believe is under the sooth
Rock the city for your mock wars
Rock the city for your evil designs

Singapore - The City I Dream To Visit

One of my cherished wishes is to visit the 'Lion City' of Singapore

It is a city where I have always dreamt to go for a tour.

A city so small in size but so huge in terms of achievement

And holds such a prominent place in the entire Asian continent.

It is a city that represents life, warmth and fun

And has established itself as a unique place under the Sun.

I always dream that someday I will visit this spectacular city

Though I do not know when I will get that golden opportunity.

City Of Hearts

THE CITY OF HEARTS
IS WHAT I WANT TO FIND
WHERE I’M TIGHTLY BOUND BY STRINGS OF LOVE
HOLDING ME BACK ME WHEN I STRAY TOWARDS THE WRONG,
ENCOURAGING ME WHEN A GOOD DEED’S DONE
WHERE ESCAPE IS INFIDELITY
HATRED A SIN & VOILENCE A CURSE
AN ABODE WHERE HONESTY THRIVES & COMPASSION LIVES…
SO ETHEREAL THESE THINGS DO SEEM
LOST IN THE ANNALS OF HISTORY… NOW
SUCH WERE THE FONDS OF MY BLISSFUL HEART
BUT WHERE SHALL I FIND MY CITY OF HEARTS? ?

IN THE QUEST FOR JOY,
IN THE QUEST FOR LOVE,
I TRAVERSED CITIES A PLENTY,
THE PEOPLE WERE GOOD,
THE LANDSCAPES ENCHANTING
BUT THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING MISSING..
THAT “WHAT” I WAS SEARCHING FOR IS UNFATHOMABLE
FOR I WANTED TO FIND MY HOME IN ALL OF THEM!
WHERE SHALL I FIND MY CITY OF HEARTS,
THAT’S THE QUESTION I USUALLY ASKED.

A FAMILY TO RELY ON
AND FRIENDS TO CARE FOR
WHERE I’M LOVED FOR WHAT I AM
WHERE THERE IS SUCH UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
THAT I SHALL CRAVE TO GIVE & ONLY GIVE!
SUCH WERE THE IDEAS THAT SHROUDED MY MIND
AND THUS THE ETERNAL QUEST WENT ON…

I REALISED THAT THERE SHALL NEVER BE
SUCH A CITY OF HEARTS
FOR PEOPLE HAVE BECOME COLD & CRUDE
IT TAKES A MILLION BUCKS FOR THEM
TO PASS ON A SIMPLE SMILE
LOST ARE THE SMALL TALKS
THAT PEOPLE USED TO SHARE
ITS NOW THE MASKS OF PERFECT EXPRESSIONS
THAT ONE & ALL SO NICELY WEAR
SMALL JOYS NO MORE HOLD MEANING,
SMALL BEAUTIES NO MORE APPRECIATED
NOW IT’S THE LURE OF MONEY THAT’S ENTICING..

THE RAT RACE HAS REACHED SATURATION
BUT NONE HAVE REALISED THE GRAVE SITUATION
THE CITY OF HEARTS IS BURIED SOMEWHERE
ALONE, DARK & WITHERED..
IT ROTS DUE TO LACK OF CARE
FOR PEOPLE HAVE LEFT TO A NEW SPHERE
WHERE MONEY & NOT EMOTIONS ARE SO DEAR.

NONETHELESS I WANT TO FIND
MY CITY OF HEARTS,
WHERE HUMANS ARE HUMANS
WITH A PIECE OF HEART
THE QUEST THAT I’VE BEGUN
SHALL SOMEDAY BE COMPLETE
TILL THEN IT’S THE HOPE IN MY HEART
THAT TELLS ME I’LL SURELY FIND
MY CITY OF HEARTS! !

Big Lie Small World

Words and music by sting
I sat down and wrote this letter
Telling you that I felt better
Since youve gone and I was free
Im so happy
I have so little time to spare now
Im wanted almost everywhere now
I make out like casanova
Friends are always coming over
I signed my name as if I meant it
And sealed it with a kiss and sent it
The letter headed through my mood
Happy in my solitude
But halfway home I changed my tune
And when I saw my lonely room
The mirror caught my eye
When I sat down, I cried
Big lie, small world
It was a big lie, small world
I had to intercept that letter
Telling you that I was better
I raced to catch the postmans van
He was leaving as I ran
I missed the bus, I missed the train
I end up walking in the rain
Big dog chased me down the street
Hadnt had a bite to eat
Feeling sorry for myself
And wishing I was someone else
I walked across the city
Because I couldnt stand your pity
Big lie, small world
It was a big lie, small world
The place you live looks opulent
And obviously a higher rent
Than a cozy little room
I had this sense of doom
Your landlord says youre out of town
But your new boyfriends always around
The hour was getting late
So I sit down and wait
Heres the postman with my letter
Coming down the path he better
Give that thing to me
I have to make him see
Begging doesnt do the trick
He thinks that Im a lunatic
But then who comes upon the scene
But your new boyfriend, mr. clean
I hit the postman, hit your lover
Grabbed the letter, ran for cover
The police arrived in time for tea
They said theyd like to question me
But I can only curse my fate
I had to face the magistrate
It hasnt been the best of days
Id like to fly away
Big lie, small world
Big lie, small world
It was a big lie, small world
Big lie, small world

Dig your charlie parker

You know she lights the way
Her name is billie, shes a holiday
And the city is eternal -- hey, cant you see?
Its inside of you and its inside of me

You know, you know the way to kansas city?
You know, you know the way to kansas city?

Sleep's Curse

Sleep’s Curse

The curse of sleep that lies within,
May only be known by two therein.
In sharing one heart,
They create the part…
The curse of sleep that lies within.

The curse is thus so one can poll,
When one is half of another one’s whole.
It goes like this, in both it works.
There’s no escape from this one’s jerks.

When one is gone and the other’s there,
They both can’t sleep for no one’s near.
Each one will worry, and each one will fret.
Gaining no rest you can very well bet.

Reflect the curse with each together.
Neither one sleeps beneath the feather.

One seeks comfort the other to protect.
In this the curse laid bare and seen,
Sleep they shall never glean.

A Fruitful Hill

Small works, Big City;
Big works, Small City;
Like the tale of two cities.
Here comes the Bride and the bridegroom,
True love is sweeter than honey;
I am on the fruitful hill with words.

Sauerkraut on my table,
true love is sweeter than the honeycomb;
Yes, a virtuous woman is a crown to her husband.

Apples of gold,
A kiss on the lips;
Beyond the River of Ethiopia.
Like the choicest vine,
Life on the fruitful hill;
The day of the wedding crowns it all.

The purple rain,
The purple cushion,
A fruit so sweet to my taste;
Refresh me with sweet apples.

The gold of Sheba,
The fruit of Lebanon,
Let the earth be glad around you;
Flaming fire,
Swarms of flies,
Let the heavens rejoice around you;
Big works, Small City;
Small works, Big City;
A tale of two cities with the love of a muse,
The humble shall see and rejoice always.

You Curse At The Girls

They say you curse at girls
Don't you know it isn't right
You could get yourself in trouble
You've been living in a different world
Looking for another fight
Sifting through emotional rubble
Hey boy, don't you get it
One day, you're gonna regret it when she's gone
Hey boy, you can bet it
You'll be blue
Each time you curse at girls
You curse a little at yourself
Don't you know a girl gets angry
Hey boy, don't you get it that
One day, you're gonna regret it when she's gone
Hey boy, you can bet it
You'll be blue
They say you curse at girls

City Of Sin

City of sin
When will thou go clean
A foolish society
In an archaic city
Full of vanity
A city without conscience
Full of violence
Greediness and selfishness
Why should there be a city
Without justice and fairness
The rich over the poor
Blood do they devour
Life becomes sore
Her daughters turn hoer
How can there exist
Such a city
If goodness is banish
Then we are all finish
Why won't they perish
Why must i cherish
Such an evil city

Atlantis

In that ocean.
Wide eyed and deeper in your gaze,
And bluer than the bright that's in the cave.
There is a city,
Came out from you, Atlantis
In ruins, sunken below the waves
But in the city,
Where there is no one.
What's the point of being free, eh?
When there is nothing there to tie me down,
Oh, no more here.
The bluest city,
Covered in coral and coral,
On sea chests,
And sealed Jamaician tales.
There is nobody
To count the soldiering meandering whales,
With a shoal of herring amongst the sails.
But in the city,
Where there is no one.
What's the point of being free, eh?
When there is nothing there to tie me down,
Oh, no more here.
There is the city Atlantis.

City Of Beggars

The sky is always blue in the city of beggars
There is not much green in the city of beggars
There are buildings being built so fast in the city of beggars
In every corner that you encounter
The city of beggars are growing so fast
And in the city of beggars lives 30 million people
The air is not that good in the city of beggars
Because of the factories and the cars
The city of beggars never sleep
The noise goes on 24 hours a day
It is not safe to walk in the street of beggars
Because you can get robbed and killed at any time of the night or day
The traffic is chaotic in the city of beggars
Thanks God there is no snow in the city of beggars
