Worth A Million Words

the burden of
potential lifted
worth a million words
in and of itself
inspiration spurs
me onward
searching for
the magic in
each chosen word

In Search Of Inspiration

searching the world for inspiration
searching books, music and nature too
a lot of effort gone into it, a lot of concentration
inspiration i think is hard to find

in the songs of birds, in the whistle of the wind
i search for inspiration, even a tiny little bit
when a baby laughed or when a woman grinned
i searched folr inspiration, guess it's harder to find

in the words of shelly, keats and shakespeare too
inspiration i searched and searched, no use
in 'gone with the wind'and 'the sound of music'
movies i searched for a bit of inspiration
'
without inspiration, what do i write
i wanna fill the pages with the poem that's right
i need to write a poem, i need inspiration
i wanna write a poem. wait a minute! ! , i just did! ! !

note: i never write poems for the sake of writing.......it comes from the heart......in reality...i dont need to search for inspiration much.....it comes when it needs to... :)

Write Erase Write Erase

this is what happens to this poem
when you have nothing to write
tonight....write, erase, write, erase

you are waiting
for an inspiration that does not come

you keep on waiting and then something comes
you write it, you think about it, you read it and you find nothing
worth the letter you assign to it
then you erase it and you are honest enough to admit that there is nothing
beautiful
not even a purpose, and then you write the word again, you ponder, there is
nothing worth its existence
there is nothing to grow in that word chosen
you erase it again, you write it and then there is this space of thinking,

what is it? you ask. what is it really?
it is this denial.
this negation of
what you are
that keeps you writing.

you stand by the window. Look out
the road. You see a dog, and it is howling again
to the moon
and to the wrong tree
it is barking.

Inspiration..

Inspiration comes and goes.
I write it down or I’ll forget while searching for a pen.
Inspiration comes and goes.
I get is from dreams or experiences.
Inspiration comes and goes.
But tell me, what inspires you.

I’m inspired by beauty, love and lust.
Giving me words and thought I dare to trust.
It’s inspiration that separates me from the rest.
‘Cause when inspiration comes words fall into place.
And things are beginning to make sense.

Sometimes I’m inspired by sorrow.
When I’m waiting in my bed for tomorrow.
And words start to become sentences.
I will start to write just to understand.
And to make me feel better so I can go to bed again.

Sometimes I write because of a pain that runs so deep.
I write cryptic lyrics about the secrets I keep.
I express them in other words so no one will understand.
But they feel not knowing what I’m trying to tell.
It’s a just way to clear my conscience.

Sometimes I write how the world could be.
Or I write about the girl of my fantasy.
Then I’m inspired by a fragment of my imagination.
And now I told a few ways where I get my inspiration.
So now tell me what inspires you.

Verbal Tapestry

Such tapestries of magic wrought
by masters of their chosen art;
whose measured worth cannot be bought.

Within this place wizardry's taught
and each magician plays a part
in tapestries of magic wrought.

A diverse and bewitching lot,
some sassy, saucy, suave and smart;
whose measured worth cannot be bought.

Across the zones of time and thought
they serve poetic a-la-carte.
with tapestries of magic wrought.

With grace a moment can be caught
by artists of the quill and heart,
whose measured worth cannot be bought.

And with fresh, enchanting thought
this simple wizard makes a start
at tapestries of magic wrought.
whose measured worth cannot be bought.

Her love is my inspiration

Her love is my inspiration

Love is the inspiration for my heart to sing a tune,
love is the inspiration for my ear to hear,
love is the inspiration for my soul to warm,
love is the inspiration for my mouth to smile,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to glisten.

Love is the inspiration to draw my soul near another
love is the inspiration for my mouth to utter sweet words,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to gaze upon her,
love is the inspiration for my heart to speak out.

Love is the inspiration for need, love is the inspiration for my mouth to touch hers,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to close,
love is the inspiration for my heart to race,
love is the inspiration for my tears to burn.

Love is the inspiration for longing,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to see only her,
love is the inspiration for my heart to cry out,
love is the inspiration for my ear to hear her whispers,
love is the inspiration for my soul to join hers forever.

Love is the inspiration for forever,
love is the inspiration for my heart to be whole,
love is the inspiration for my ear to always hear those words,
love is the inspiration for my soul to have hers,
love is the inpiration for my mouth to speak the truth.

Love is the inspiration for my soul to seek life
love is the inspirationfor my ear to hear her words,
love is the inspiration for my soul to reach for her,
love is the inspiration for my mouth to speak her truths,
love is the inspiration for my eyes to always look upon her first,

For she is the inspiration for my Love.

The Value Of Words

Words what value words
when spoken in haste
what is their worth
words spat in spite
or an envious game
false words meaningless
what value words

a trusting word
honest and open speaks
volumes when listen to
without agenda given
with care and thought
placed into its being
what becomes its worth

words in variety
of context and meaning
fill blank spaces
where sometimes silence
is a more welcome sound
where nothing is better said
words have a value
consider their worth

A Magic Word

with one little magic word
he tried to steal my heart
not sure of the purpose or why
but he had a plan with a chart
and one little magic word
with a devious look in his eye

but i am way to smart for him
i have words and numbers
with a little magic spell
and even paint beautiful colours
oh and i can keep a secret
if you wish to tell

What’s My Worth?

I ask which one is worth more?
To be amongst a crowd of thousands or my solitude?
Power over others or my personal freedom?

A little while alone in my room is of more
value than anything given to me

What’s my worth?
My worth is not a million dollars
My worth is a million moments

Magic Is In You

Magic is in your skin I want to be in
Magic is in your eyes for you the perfect size
Magic is in everything you wear down you your underwear’s
Magic is in your touch I want you so much
Magic is in your voice that makes me loose all choice
Magic is in your look for you have me open like a book

Magic is in your lips right down to you hips
Magic is in your kiss that I do miss
Magic is in the air when you are there
Magic is in your hair for you do care
Magic is in your being for you are worth seeing
Magic is in your nose right down to your toes

Magic is in your quirkiness for you are happiness
Magic is in your walk and the way you talk
Magic is in your style and that beautiful profile
Magic is in your laughter for I’ll stay ever after
Magic is in your cheek for you make me weak
Magic is in your arms that hold me tight makes me feel all right

Magic is in your face so sweet you’re good enough to eat
Magic is in your smile for you I’d walk more than a mile
Magic is in your arms to hold that chases away the cold
Magic is in your kindness for you have taken away my sadness
Magic is in your romance for you have given me a second chance
Magic is in your bosom felt I melt

Magic is in everything you say that makes my day
Magic is in everything and everywhere because you are there
Magic is in everything for the joy you bring
Magic is in everything come what may for in your life I’ll stay
Magic is in everything for sure for you are the one I adore
Magic is in everything you do for I love you

The Word

Find the word, understand the word,
Depend on the word;
The word is heaven and space, the word the earth,
The word the universe.
The word is in our ears, the word is on our tongues,
The word the idol.
The word is the holy book, the word is harmony,
The word is music.
The word is magic, the word the Guru.
The word is the body, the word is the spirit, the word is being,
The word Not-being.
The word is man, the word is woman,
The Worshipped Great.
The word is the seen and unseen, the word is the existent
And the non-existent.
Know the word, says Kabir,
The word is All-powerful.

A Prayer For The Ages

How does one pray and know they are heard?
Should they do it with thought or do it with word?
Through the ages humans have prayed
for divine intervention
placing the burden on God,
For divine inspiration
wherever they've trod,
For peaceful intention
to be sent from above,
For lessening of tension
to be replaced with love,
For all of God's attention
to the plight of man's woes,
For less apprehension
wherever he goes.

And all of these thoughts or words they convey
are expectant and hopeful that in some way
they'll be answered by God and not by man.
But man is a partner in all of these prayers.
He must understand that everyone shares
in the responsibility that God expects.
For thoughts and words are the disconnects
that make us depend on God.

Searching for inspiration

I want to write the perfect poem

Or novel, tale or anthem

Don’t know where to start

Nor how to go about that

So I asked a wise man and he said

‘Don’t start writing till you get inspired’

I looked around for inspiration

In wine, woman and song

All three together is heady

And I went to sleep unsteady

I woke up with a splitting headache

And inspiration was far away

Then I went to my wise friend

He said ‘it’s not the end.’

‘Keep looking for inspiration

You’ll find aplenty in nature’

So I went searching to the mountains

And valleys, lakes and ocean

Till I got tired of searching

And went to sleep deadbeat

Somehow I couldn’t find inspiration

In all my journeys and travails

My wise friend saw my despair

And told me not to worry

“Listen to the sound of traffic

Inhale some putrid air”

“Listen to the hum of mosquitoes

And take in the city smells”

“When you’re back in your natural habitat

Inspiration will find you there”

Once Again I Write...

This pen, this paper is once again my savior.
I write to save my sanity.
I write to ease my heart.
I write to cleanse my soul.
I write to feel alive.
I write to keep my mind strong and my thoughts clear.
I write my words of sorrow, despair, pain, and love, as well as words of wisdom.
I write so that one day someone will truly know me.
This paper, this pen is once again my inspiration.
It is the inspiration to what I see.
It is the inspiration to what I hear.
It is the inspiration to what I feel.
It is the inspiration to the art I create.
It is the inspiration to what I draw.
It is the inspiration to the love for my daughter.
It is the inspiration to the love for my husband.
This pen, this paper is once again my savior.
Once again I write to say thank you my timeless friends.
Thank you for saving me time and time again.

An Ode To Inspiration

Up above, Tchaikovsky's fluting notes are dancing,
And the empty paper waits for the first verse to be born.
While the screaming wind beats against the old window,
My thoughts are endlessly straying,
Looking for lost inspiration,
And they stray the ravines of my mind,
Like lost children searching for their dear mother,
Lost inspiration.
The heart is painfully echoing in a mute chest,
And the paper still waits for its dear tennants,
And it is as if the angry wind knows it too,
The wind that shakes the old window blinds
That painfully creak
Like the bones of an old dying man.
If I could,
I would sprinkle all roads with stars,
I would gild each stone with the rays of the sun,
If only inspiration could find its way to my home.
But how could I possibly greet it royally
In a room full of moisture, draft and smoke,
And the deafening echo of poverty,
As inspiration is royal by birth, after all.
There is grave silence down there,
And a magic harmony up there,
It is Tchaikovsky dispersing his magic notes
Down into my dark home,
As if he wants to provide a royal welcome for inspiration.
That blue shadow is watching me now,
As if saying:
'Inspiration is of royal birth,
You will find it in the dark, below a stone,
In the company of the darkest shadow,
At the very heart of loneliness;
You don't have to take the stars down from the sky for it,
Or bait it with gold
So it would find its home.
Giving in to your heart is enough, brother,
And inspiration shall find its home! ...'

Word by word he writes on
No other can replace he

He writes and writes along
What an excellent inspiration

Sweet Mama

By billy joe shaver
Sweet mama, lay your burden down,
Sweet mama, lay your burden down,
Just let me tell you bout some truth in life Ive found,
Sweet mama, lord. set yourself right down.
Lord, pride, it aint worth a us dime, lord no,
Well pride, it aint worth a poor mans time
And its misery to be so jealous all the time
Sweet mama, lord, be kind to your mind.
Sweet mama, lay your burden down,
Oh sweet mama, lord lay them trophies down,
You know it aint no good to be givin me that same old run-around,
Cause sweet mama, lay your burden down.
Sweet mama, lord, youre so feelin fine
And I know that you think this is just a line,
But I only put these words into this little song,
To try, lord, and help us get along.
