Why does he sing farewell to the sun
Jumping at shadows that settle
Around every once bright agile eye
Who's day has gone and come?

When she worships in silence and stars
Under cool shadows overlooked
Out of windows by dreamers undreaming
Slow to fall off on sleep's watchful arms.

Where I am taken by risings and settings
Of twilight's changing dusks to dawns
Walking on cracks between, hearing, and seeing,
Tasting two worlds which touch only one.

Some beginnings feel like others ending
This last day came too close to that first
How time idles off fast and forever
Before knowing what we had was worth.

What were we, a family of strangers
Afraid of the sting of good bye?
Glad to be a part of what was provided
Ashamed of the ease of not having to try?
Loving and fighting, fire and freeze both skin deep,
Angry at our easy uncaring.
Enjoying the won and lost struggle toward teamwork,
Laughing because we're so human
it hurts.

A Silent Night, a Holy Night

The sun has set and the shadows fled
The feathered flocks, flown to their nest
Weary men after the day's toil and care
Are back home for sleep and rest

No bird sings and no beast strays
No tramp wanders and no lights shimmer
Silence rules and peace prevails
The sky is clear and the stars do glimmer

Buds unfold in shady glades
A sweet aroma pervades the air
Fluttering leaves sing a lullaby
And glow worms reel on wings of fire

Birds and beasts, in Nature's bosom rest
Babies nap, cuddling to their mothers tight
Tired men stretch out under quilts for ease
The world, asleep with dreams sweet and bright

A brief interlude from all angry strife
A time of farewell to all frivolous conceits
A holy night to bury our woes
And a God sent time to ease our spirits!

I could easily foretell
You had something to tell
As you dropped a stinking bombshell

It all out in a nutshell

The Moon Shines off You

Farewell

As we travel Life's weary journey,
And plod through the gathering years,
With our burdens of care and sorrow,
O'er a pathway bedewed with tears.
If, perchance, for a fleeting moment
Our hearts should with rapture swell,
We have added but one more sorrow,
When we bid the glad time "Farewell".

I have watched the bright dawn awaking,
And noted each changing light,
As the sun, in its morning splendour,
Dispelled the dark gloom of night.
I have welcomed its bright rays stealing
Over hill-top, and wood, and dell;
Yet, my joy was alloyed with sorrow,
As I bade the bright stars "Farewell".

I have seen the red sun descending
To its home in the glowing west,
Whilst the tremulous voice of nature
Was solemnly lulled to rest.
I have welcomed the stars, appearing,
And greeted them one by one,
Yet, my greeting was toned with sadness,
As I said "Farewell" to the sun.

When we welcome the summer sunshine,
Farewell to the flowers of Spring.
Adieu to the fruits of Autumn,
When we welcome the frosty king.
Good-bye to the joys of childhood,
When vigorous youth appears;
Then - a season of strife and turmoil,
And - farewell to the vanished years.

I am sighing a farewell message,

The daily fight.
The human souls ignite.
The fire burns in the twilight.
Stars so bright.

Farewell to Skiathos
maybe forever
maybe forever
ehe ghia!

Here in the steerage
Skiathos receding
into the mists
of fancy and time

Arms of the village
opening gently
beckoning brightly
bidding goodbye

Maybe forever
there on the billow
hovering brightly
scattering fame.

Now we are weaving
paths from your glory
darkness descending
mountainous forms

Pass to the starboard
pass to the leeward
soon in their splendor
blazon the stars.

When the moon rises
you will awaken
put on your brooches
of aquamarine

I Can No Longer Live For you

I spent my life loving you-
not someone like you, but YOU;
not a part of you, but YOU.
I spent my life knowing you,
hearing your heartbeat, painting your smile;
memorizing your thoughts, reading your eyes.
You thought that if you wear a mask,
I wouldn't know at all.
But then I do, coz all my life
I did nothing but living for you.
It's not your face that matters at all,
I can always see your soul.
You might not tell me if youre there
but I can feel your shadows.
It's not your voice that matters at all,
I can always hear your heart.
I can recognize your footsteps,
I can read what's on your mind.
You know that I would sense the truth,
you know that i would feel it.
You didnt tell me- were you afraid?
You twisted all you said.
I loved you and I love you-
I can always forgive you...

I waited to hear the truth from you
but why the silence?

I have seen the morning burning golden on the mountain in the sky
Aching with the feeling of the freedom of an eagle when she flies
Turning on the world the way she smiled upon my soul as i lay dying
Healing as the colors in the sunshine and the shadows of her eyes
Waking in the morning to the feeling of her fingers on my skin
Wiping out the traces of the people and the places that i've been
Teaching me that yesterday was something that i never thought of trying
Talking of tomorrow and the money, love and time we had to spend
Loving her was easier than anything i'll ever do again
Coming close together with a feeling that i've never know before,in my
Time
She ain't ashamed to be a woman or afraid to be a friend
I don't know the answer to the easy way she opened every door in my mind
