~~~Why divide....? ? ? ? ~~~
Moon illuminates
World with silver rays
Make no division
Thatched roof or concrete roof tops
Rich or poor; strong or weak.
T ender breeze
Refreshes the earth
No divisions
Thatched huts or concrete palace
Sandy desert or rain forest
Soothing living being
No divisions!
Harmony of the wild
With trumpets of tuskers
Cuckoos; bells of deers
To the rhythm of
Gibbering monkeys & croaking frogs
Has no restrictions
Rich or poor
Strong or weak
Nature has no restriction; No divisions
Yet, human being’s towards divisions
Continue to divide, endless divisions
Colours, ethnicity, north or South
Developed- 3rd world
Even divide “God”
My god is not my rivals’
What a pity?
Trees produce oxygen
For all living being
We never breathe our own “oxygen”
Little realize I breathe what you exhale
Why we divide …
Why we hide …
The reality of life
Leaving the pride.
Anarchy Is For Lovers
They came together-red and black-
In a revolt like no other,
And there is no turning back,
For anarchy is for lovers.
The truth is greater than the lies
Of hollow gods and class divisions,
For loving hearts all rules defy
With a transcendent common vision.
No wars, no boundaries, no states,
No need to subjugate each other,
No rich, no poor, no one to hate-
Just peace and love for one another.
They came together-young and old-
No hippie freaks, but with a vision-
They came together in revolt
Against all wars and all divisions.
They saw the truth, they saw the light
In a revolt like no other,
Standing determined in their fight,
For anarchy is for lovers.
Deliverance In Harmony
When the money is depleted will they cease as enemies?
When they find themselves with cupboards bare,
Will they share this reality?
Or will their stupidity,
Continue as it is?
With divisions they have come to know.
And ignorance to feed.
With stomachs empty...
As they crawl on knees!
'Baritones and sopranos?
Your voices are weakening!
Tenors and altos...
Less vibrato!
I can hardly hear the bass.
Once again.
And folks...
Don't forget,
We are invited to sing...
For the upcoming Unity Festival.
So...
Look alive!
Again...'
When the money is depleted will they cease as enemies?
When they find themselves with cupboards bare,
Will they share this reality?
Or will their stupidity,
Continue as it is?
With divisions they have come to know.
And ignorance to feed.
With stomachs empty...
As they crawl on knees!
'Now 'that' is what I call,
Deliverance In Harmony! '
Raging Ambition
We do have tons of ambition
Some are for real, some are just for imagination
Ambition has three divisions
Like fire composes of three divisions, the theme of ambition
Fire uses carbon as the base
To maintain the heat and the pressure, it’s a showcase
The latter must paired with our faith
To have a positive repartee and to face the goals in straight
Fuel is the booster of fire
To start and to initiates the flame like a wire
The late needs determination
To work-out the goals and to gain a right lore, not like an auction
Oxygen is a must in fire
To give breath and to mold forms to the flame, is a hire
Humility builds the latter
To accept the free-falls and to aim high in worst and in better
Ambition needs the three like fire
Without the other it’s like a car without a tire
It is the merely ingredients
To beacon ambitions and to succeed like chasing the radiant
Fractured Divisions
Fractured divisions advocated by a system,
Feeding on comsumption...
That has invested on providing more variety,
As a main priority...
To leave its people in positions of weakness,
Soon depletes a supply that quickly diminishes.
And with demands that a way of life now too expensive,
Returns to a strength allowed to be cheapened.
Makes not once bit of sense,
If a cheapness that has fed on a weakness promoted,
Reflects an absence of discipline or a respect there to get.
When fractured divisions have been made the focus,
High expectations become as foolish as the pointlessness...
Of it!
Cheap Emotional Divisions
When something is loved so much...
It becomes stronger than a marriage.
Unaffected by laws.
Undescribed is this love,
That is as deep and cemented in concrete...
Cheap emotional divisions,
Could never come to deplete.
Or empty pockets to leave weepers.
Putin And Sharon
Putin and Sharon they may live miles apart
But they have much in common each has a frosty heart
They both are anti- social and people they control
And they see those who are different as bereft of a soul.
Putin and Sharon come from different background
But in these autocratic leaders similarities to be found
They both are anti-muslim or so 'twould seem to me
And their soldiers have committed crimes against humanity.
Putin and Sharon on others inflict pain
And long after they are dead and gone their legacies will remain
Their strong dislike for allah's followers in glimpses they reveal
And the wounds of the divisions they've created will take ages to heal.
In Putin and in Sharon similarities you'll find
They have in them the worst traits in the race of humankind
In their narrowness and racism divisions they create
And they give a fresh breath of life to that awful virus hate.
Time has no divisions to mark its passage, there is never a thunder-storm or blare of trumpets to announce the beginning of a new month or year. Even when a new century begins it is only we mortals who ring bells and fire off pistols.
Caught beneath visions of hatred
Drowning fast in sounds of silence
Caught between divisions of hate
Cant breathe under this weight of existence
Chorus:
Too strong,
Too strong for you
Too strong,
Too strong for you
Divisions They Have Created
Observing those taking offense,
Against policies and initiatives they implemented...
Is like listening to someone complain,
About the price of cigarettes and gasoline...
While waiting in line to purchase them at any cost.
People have grown accustomed to debating themselves.
As if those overhearing them,
Become attracted to the redundance of the limited topics.
Divisions they have created,
Have outdated realities.
They refer to the 'others' as those on the 'left'.
And yet,
They are 'right'...
With their insignificant infighting complimented with backbites.
Their own divisions they have created,
Escalated devastation.
Clearly they are a people of greed,
Wanting more of it for themselves to feed.
With an outsourcing of jobs...
For cheaper labor to pay as their economy slipped away.
They were the ones to oversee this travesty,
As a means to quietly lift themselves...
To the land of abundant gluttony.
Divisions they have created,
Deletes the fact of their discreeted deceit.
As their own hands dipped
While a diminishing of beliefs of those values and standards,
Were going unpoliced!
They speak of a greatness only reviewed on sporting fields.
They speak of a greatness on streets of decadence no one feels.
To lead is to know how to follow.
To greed is to know how to follow those like this who lead.
Mini Kingdoms Within a State That Bragged
Reality comes to hit hard,
Munipalities.
Treated and acting as if,
Mini kingdoms within a state that bragged...
About an affluence,
Long ago lived...
In a 'we are the richest' state there is.
From a past wished now to continue.
A collective mindset does not exist.
Cities allowed homelessness and hunger,
To persist on the backs of low paid wagers.
The 'haves' have always accused the 'have nots'...
Of being shiftless and lazy.
When jobs from them were taken and not given.
As those who were rich,
Separated themselves in suburban divisions.
Now they find dimes to spend are few.
Minds invested in their futures...
Were incompetently limited, hidden and subdued.
Those outcast and ostracized,
Were slandered and defamed and criticized...
For an outspokenness that addressed deceit and lies.
The rich and the poor now see eye to eye.
But a bigotry does not feed...
Upon an ignorance fed to breed superficiality.
Selfish Isolation
They believe what has been stolen,
From wicked beginnings...
Belongs to them.
Declaring with documents,
Who has rights...
To live the kind of life they like.
And using their injustices,
To rule upon others' land.
With weapons that defend their 'interests'...
With a firm and upper,
Rusting...
Corrupted hand.
With divisions they've inflicted,
They insist a united front exists!
But even with their greed afflictions...
Their beliefs aren't to unify.
As depicted by the turmoil...
They let persist to the bitter end.
And now their conflicts...
Have come to reflect,
A selfish isolation!
With a total disrespect.
And a regret that faces them!
Pray they do,
But it's too late.
For a fate that awaits their sins.
This is what happens to folks who aspire...
To rule with a might.
Only God declares and protects...
When He alone is in their sight!
And political divisions,
Are not what God envisions!
To Run and Hide
To run: To run and hide
Afraid to face the giants that arise
Strong man, strong man
Now too weak to stand
All courage tis faded
With an unseeming fate he's faced
That of a great seasoned warrior
Who now is no longer conqueror
To hide: to run and hide
Unwilling to face the divide
On the bullet teeth break
As devastion fear leaves in its wake
Unable now to face tomorrow
Refusing to take that which is hard to swallow
Impending doom now closing in
On he who shuts himself in
To run and hide, to run and hide
Will only a little time bide
Till your fears you will face
As you are caught by your greatest test
Strong man strong man
Now too weak to stand
To run and hide
Will with defeat concide
Strong man strong man
Now too weak to stand
Part of the All
Why do I feel blessed,
And offer my condolences?
Well...
You can only relate to that
Which expresses
The experiences 'within' your exposed understanding...
Of a world you've been taught is centered around you!
And 'that' I have understood most of my life.
Me?
It took me a while to realize,
I was raised knowing
I am part of the all!
Leaving me free,
With the ability and comfort of knowing...
It is easier for me,
Just to be able to relate!
And that has been a whole lot less stressful.
I am not concerned about comparisons...
Or divisions.
What's Been Done Has Been Done
For the first time they all sat,
Together...
In an obvious nervousness.
No longer separated,
By lines of divisions.
Or seats that depicted them,
In political affliations.
The beginning of a seriousness has begun.
And arguments of special interests...
Is slowly ending its run!
For the first time they all sat,
Together...
In an obvious nervousness.
No longer separated,
By lines of divisions.
Or seats that depicted them,
In political affliations.
And a leader states,
'Whether you like it or not...
You are going to grow up.
Whether you like it or not...
Your petty stuff has been enough.'
The beginning of a seriousness has begun.
And arguments of special interests...
Is slowly ending its run!
The streets are in shambles.
And those rich believe they can not be touched.
The funds needed to repair and correct despair...
Is going to take what some have.
And what they have must be given up.
What needs to be fixed,
Is going to come out of pockets.
Out of the pockets of those who leech.
Out of the pockets of those who fed on fat.
And they are among the elite.
The streets are in shambles.
And those rich believe they can not be touched.
The funds needed to repair and correct despair...
Is going to take what some have.
And what they have must be given up.
For the first time they all sat,
Together...
In an obvious nervousness.
No longer separated,
By lines of divisions.
Or seats that depicted them,
In political affliations.
The beginning of a seriousness has begun.
And arguments of special interests...
Is slowly ending its run!
What's been done has been done...
And now the time has come to undo it!
Anxieties Of A Widow
May stretched its legs into the grave.
Thunder heralds the rains.
Hut on the bank of Kanoli canal
Is not re-thatched this year.
Her infant’s illness made the doctor gay
With all the wages she had kept.
Summer takes the last breath,
But the coconut leaf thatched roof
Is not re-thatched this year.
As the widow stands on the threshold,
The rain clouds gather over her sky
And the wind scatters terror in her corridor.
Will the tattered roof be flown away?
Will the rain drops make pores
On the roof of her life?
Where will her child crawl and smile?
Question waves are thus getting high;
Her canoe is ready to be tossed.
(Summer ends in the month of May and rainy season begins in the month of June in Kerala)
Surprises In Store For Those With Closed Eyes
Ignore the truth,
And deceit will someday suffocate.
Participate in the re-creation of reality...
And the Earth,
With the assistance of the Sun and Moon...
Will not hesitate to awaken those mistakened by this!
Life and the naturalness of it as experienced...
Is not created from a human perception.
Nor is it a reflection that decides when to change,
Into something more acceptible.
This 'experiment' called life,
WE have decided to destroy...
With a selfishness employed.
Will find divisions within it that survives.
And the end result of this evolution...
Has surprises in store for those with closed eyes.
We Kill The World
I see mushrooms, atomic mushrooms.
I see rockets, missiles in the sky.
Day by day, more and more,
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
Poor world, poor world.
Concrete's rising up,
Where yearerday was park
You heard the robin's song
Heavy tractor runs
Where air was clean and cool
Make money, bringing fuel.
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
A poor world, poor world.
Fishes doomed to die
As people live close by
And oaktree falls with moon
Parking lots will come
With flowerfields were bright
As junkyard covers sight!
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
Poor world, is hurting bad,
Poor world, is doomed to die.
We kill the world
Kill the world
We surely do
In peace we do!
We kill the world
Kill the world
'cause we don't know
What we are doing!
We kill it
One by one
Don't realize!
And nuclear piles stand like monuments
Of destruction throughout over the country
Promenades must go
So cars can drive in row
New fact'ry towers tall
Farmhouse had to fall
No flowers in the air
Pollution everywhere.
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
A poor world, poor world.
Oceans in despair
There's rubbish everywhere
The seaweed chokes in mud
Nature's had her lot
With nuclear waste and rot
And mushrooms bloom as clouds.
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
Poor world, is hurting bad,
Poor world, is doomed to die.
We kill the world...
Don't kill the world
Don't let her down.
Do not destroy basic ground.
Don't kill the world
Our means of life.
Lend ear to nature's cry.
Don't kill the world
She's all we have,
And surely is worth to save.
Don't let her die,
Fight for her trees,
Pollution robs air to breathe.
Don't kill the world
Help her survive
And she'll reward you with life
And don't just talk,
Go on and do the one, who wins is you.
Cherish the world,
A present from god
On behalf of all creatures,
Made by the lord
Care for the earth,
Foundation of life
Slow progress down help her survive
The Very Thing That Makes You Rich
My father told me, lying on his bed of death,
"boy," he says, "woman she's gonna make it, don't fool your self
'cause she's got something to make a man lay that money, uh, right in her hand
And the very thing that makes her rich will make you poor
The very thing that makes her rich will make you poor"
That's right!
Well, i put you behind the wheel of a deuce and a quarter, yes i did
Had you living like a rich man's daughter, yes i did, i sure did
While you were living high on the hog
You had me down here scuffling like a dog
Well, the very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
The very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
Don't you never ever make such a bad mistake
You know i'd rather climb into bed with a rattlesnake
Then to work hard every day bringing that woman all my pay
The very thing that makes you rich makes me poor,
Makes me so damn poor
The thing that makes her rich makes me poor
The very thing that makes you rich make me poor
Very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
Makes me so damned poor
Money won't change it, no no...
