What is left unsaid
He shuffles towards me, this obscure stranger
Again, the shock of his bearing surprises me
I see him through the lengthened glass of memory –
the sinewy arms that balanced
a wobbling girl on her new blue bicycle,
the feet that trod sturdily over mountainsides
with hampers and children and dogs.
His cobalt eyes brighten, his beaming smile assures
we are not yet robbed of recognition, my name
still sounds from his lips, he who names people
but fewer and fewer things
His priorities always were fine ones.
Like broken telegraphic code, we communicate
in half sentences, his utterances
A tangled ball of words, so knotted and twisted
it cannot be undone
As I guess at his meanings, his face held so close,
I can feel the spittle and sour-sweet odour of winter, that
which frightens his grandchildren, without offence.
I fill in the blanks in the air, writing what is left unsaid
with my own words, wondering,
what it is we really try to say.
My mother loved books. My father – oh my father-
Who acted and sang and told his old music hall jokes, word perfectly
with rollicking accent and narrative gesture
Who shared from the pages of his mind his treasure store of tales,
of folklore and battles, his loves and his travels.
He sits in a comfy chair, I hold his hand
and tell him my stories as his eyes close.
“See you again soon, Dad. I love you.” The eyelids flicker
but he cannot remember the words.
I must fill in the blanks.

Now Just Remember Your Own Words 'Just a Friend
The number of times I have told you
The amount of times I've asked you
The existence of a preexisting condition.
Like a mental case
Just a friend
Nothing more to show
The tease of the week
but just a friend
Always and forever just a friend
But where did you go
If that was so
Walk away only to come back tomorrow
In tears of sorrow
Hate your mom cause she tries to help
Standing on your own
And all alone
Just pick up the phone
But you won't
Got to entertain tonight
Got move on with show
And then you their yet again
Just a friend
Then why do you want to dance
I know you
I know where you want it
I know the way you want it
Just a friend
Back off man
A kick to the nuts
Dropping to your knees with a what the (You Fill In The Blanks)
Just a friend
A dangerous game is being played
With every word you say
Big brother I've been and never will be
Not to you
You just don't get it
Just a friend
But just a piece of (You Fill In The Blanks) to those
Taking off all your cloths
Acting like hoe
Screwing everyone I know
Just a friend
Then expect me to defend
Your name
Your honor
Your dignity
Your kid
Just a friend
What do you just not get
This is a very bad trip
With every slip
I'm getting so distant
So very awkward
The scene of this crime has ended
It ended with those words 'Just A Friend'
I'm sorry girl but now you have just mistaken.
I'm sorry girl but now it is I'm in love with your friend.
I can't even ever go down that road ever again.

I Need Your Smile
I need your smile
If I can’t have you
Then let me have your smile
I need your eyes
If I can’t have you
Then let me see your eyes
Let them draw me to your face
And see your smile
I need your words
Let the music of your words
Fill my head
To make me watch your lips
And then desire
To kiss them once again
Like in the past
To look into your eyes
To witness your sweet smile
The music of your laugh
To want you once again
If I can’t have you
Then let me have your smile

Sonnet # 19
Romantic thoughts of you fill my head
I see them clearly when I close my eyes
A thousand letters that join together to create
The words I love you which play daily upon my mind
Your face I see many times a day
A treasure I shan't never let it go
For you have cast a spell upon me my love
Thy timeless beauty hath bewitched my heart and soul
Your eyes be an enchantment of magical delight
That has gotten hold of me
Priceless is thy smile thou doth possess
A shinning jewel in my mind you will always be
I cannot but help write the words your memory brings
For visions of thee doth force my pen to sing

Broken Chances
My Love,
I don't know how you're going to get this,
But it is my last word on this Earth.
Just what ever you do sit alone and read this.
I want you to be at the lake where you gave me my first kiss,
I want you to sit by the tree that held us, and read this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were my love, my only one person who always made me smile,
You held my hand through so many things, so many firsts.
You were my light you were my smile
And you told me the three deadly words,
The words that always kill, but first make you smile.
I have sewed my mouth shut, so you will never see me smile.
I would melt at the sound of your voice,
I would just sit and listen just to know you were really there,
I would call when you weren't home, just to hear your voice.
My wish every day was to hear you say 'I love you',
To hear your voice.
I have glued my ears so I don't have to listen to your lies.
I remember the feeling of your hands running through my hair,
You'd weave your fingers through it to comfort me,
Sometimes I would act sad just to feel your fingers in my hair,
I would silently smile and melt in your arms.
I remember your fingers running through my blond hair.
I have cut my hair so I can never remember that feeling.
U can see you standing looking at me with your sparkling eyes,
I always see you,
I can never see past those deep eyes,
I can see you smile at me, see your hands reach for mine.
I can still see your eyes.
I have cut my eyes out so I can never again fall into your deceiving eyes.
You made my heart race with butterflies, with hope.
I gave you my heart to keep, you said you'd never break it,
You gave me the one thing i needed ti keep going; hope.
And I fell for the traps, I gave you EVERYTHING.
I ave you all the hope I held in my heart, my soul.
I have stabbed my heart, just so you can't shatter what's already broken.
You became my life, you became my love, my everything.
No matter what happened I still loved you,
And no matter what I tried to give you everything,
And you made me loose so much that I'm left with nothing,
And with my dying breath I give you what was all I had left, my everything.
I take my life to show you what love really means, that it's not the lie you told.
I may not be able to smile when you hold me,
I may not be able to hear your words even if their truth,
I may not be able to remember you soothing touch, or your warmth,
I mat not be able to see your eyes, or your reaching hands,
I may not be able to press my beating heart against your skin,
I may not be able to give you a second chance, for like my heart it is broken,
But After the pain and lies, I believe in what I felt for you,
And hope maybe someday you'll believe the same, and find beauty from pain
Even with nothing left to give you but my word, I breath my last breath for you.
I lay in silence to let you live, to give to you a broken second chance,
For I will always love you,
Be............
You And I Both
Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me
Oh things are gonna happen naturally
And taking your advice I'm looking on the bright side
And balancing the whole thing
But often times those words get tangled up in lines
And the bright lights turn to night
Until the dawn it brings
Another day to sing about the magic that was you and me
Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just read of
Others only read of the love that I love
See I'm all about them words
Over numbers, unencumbered numbered words
Hundreds of pages, pages, pages forwards
More words then I had ever heard and I feel so alive
Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just read of
And if you could see me now oh love love
Now you and I, you and I
Not so little you and I anymore
And with this silence brings a moral story
more importantly evolving is the glory of a boy
Cause you and I both loved what you and I spoke of
and others just read of and if you could see me now
well I'm almost finally out of
and it's okay if you have to go away
just remember the telephones are working on both ways
but if I never never hear them ring
if nothing else I'll think the bells inside
have finally found you someone else and that's okay
cause I'll remember everything you sang
Cause you and I both loved what you and I spoke of
and others just read of and if you could see me now
well I'm almost finally out of words.
Caroline
Oh what can I tell you now, caroline
Should I hurt your feelings or keep on lyin?
One thing leads to another and another
And another and another besides
You always know whenever I wanna make love
And you always know all the changes Im going through
Just as if you can read my mind
Caroline, you know everything I do
There just aint no words to describe
How I feel inside for you.
Yet somewhere out there
Waitin on a wonder
Youll lend wings to my words
Somewhere when the band is gone
And the music of my song
Is just right for lovers.
Youre what I want more than anything else
I love you - yes I do - but I know when Im all by myself
Nothin is real but my feelings and desires for you
And everything looks like some sort of scenery
Stored in an empty theatre
With stars on the ground - fences in the sky
And tears in the curtain of time
Oh what can I tell you, my caroline.
Except yet somewhere out there
Waitin on a wonder
Youll lend wings to my words
Somewhere when the band is gone
And the music of my song
Is just right for lovers.
Caroline, your lovin keeps me rollin
Rollin all the time, rollin all the time
Baby - somewhere out there
You really roll me
Roll me away
Baby - somewhere out there
You roll me, roll me away.
And when the melody makes me surrender
Dark eyed girl, I always remember
That you love me somewhere out there
You really love me in time to the music
How you love me wildly in my heart
Girl, you love me
You roll me away.
You always fill my heart with wonder
You always fill my soul with love
You always fill my lips with kisses
You always fill my eyes with tears.
Its like a wind from the other side of the world
Like a far off pack of hounds
Sounds like a whole universe - throbbin with life
I get so hypnotized in the lights
Just like the gaze of a mantis
Why even atlantis sank beneath
The waves in a day and a night
Oh, in a day and a night I could write
You a symphony
It would be just like a bird
And carry my love over the mountains.
Cause somewhere out there
Waitin on a wonder
Youll lend wings to my words
Somewhere when the band is gone
And the music of my song
Is just right for lovers.
You always fill my heart with wonder
You always fill my soul with love
You always fill my lips with kisses
You always fill my eyes with tears.
Cry caroline.
Will You Hold Me Close?
Will you hold me close to you tonight
and take my fear away?
For in my mind I know that this
closeness just won't stay.
But if you hold me close tonight
then I can always remember
how you made me feel so good
in the dark of night.
And even though I know my world
will never be the same,
I made the choice to love you
so I will share the blame.
And so this night, this final night
when you hold me close to you
will give me memories that will have to last
for my whole life through.
In the morning when you leave
I'll close my eyes in bed.
I'll think of how you held me
and all the words we've said.
Those words I must remember
so they'll stay inside of me.
For nothing else will soothe my heart
as far as I can see.
Before My Eyes
I see before my eyes the wonderful words,
Speak them around the mouth to sustain,
So that meanings are clear to the birds.
I saw so many reasons to master and also afterwards,
Seen so many sessions of praise of this book to attain,
I see before my eyes the wonderful words.
Created and longed for, the books and pages are blizzards,
Looking for times so tight with sin again,
So that meanings are clear to the birds.
May we attain longevity when we read books backwards,
Leaning against the wall to hasten the air plane,
I see before my eyes the wonderful words.
Pleasing us one way is like living a way of life with hazards,
Leading is a disease of words, so frightening for after pain,
So that meanings are clear to the birds.
Can the heraldry of our country be the same innards,
Liking this sign captures the books’ meanings from the brain,
So that meanings are clear to the birds,
I see before my eyes the wonderful words.
Guess (should i ever give the girl i love this., ,)
Guess....
Just guess.. they're 3 words thats it, not too hard
really just 3 words my dear
you have to figure them out right here
allow me to get close....close...
closer to you before i am taken by comatose,
let me lean in and whisper my 3 words to you
the 3 words i hope you know them too
one guess and one guess only, as i
tickle and tease you, galvanize your imagination so far as to fly
can you share my joy?
maybe you will share my joy after you guess, this isn't a decoy
I'm not running, I'm honest allow me to caress
you and fondle with your hair but guess
just 3 words,3 magic ones, last hint...closer..magic... heres the spell
it changes you and me to us, now you should know quite well
guess those magic words as i lean in close.... just three...magic..three...
as you stand here right next to me
come I'll whisper them to you
but first just guess and I will guess your next words too
3 magic words, , , , closer just three to change my story
this will fill those lines and change my life as i tickle you
and tease you, , ,3 words guess i ask you answer in four
let me caress you let me be close.... guess the words
Guess
Abba, Daddy, Father
Abba, did you smile as you
saw the perfect world you’d just created?
And did you weep when Adam fell
and Eve tumbled after?
Abba, do I have the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?
Daddy, did you jump for joy as
you saw your son, born to human parents?
And did you write the Angels words
as Glory shone all around?
Daddy, did the shepherds have the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?
Father, did you laugh out loud as
Mary and Joseph searched for their son, and
Found him in the Temple, with you?
Did you allow the telling off that he got?
Father, did you give Mary and Joseph the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?
Abba, did your heart break asunder as
the Angels thundered to go and rescue
Your Son from the cross? Did you cry raindrops
when you had to turn your back, because of sin?
Abba, did you deny the Christ the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?
Daddy, did the Angels turn and ask
You, why? How did you reply when the words
choked you? Were you waiting to destroy
the world that crucified your Son?
Daddy, did you think about taking away our right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?
Father, did you yell at Satan, when
he thought he had won? Did you let
him believe it, and then showed him Your Son
by your side? Did Satan fly in rage?
Father, how did you feel, when Satan fell from grace, no longer to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?
Abba, was it your loud shout that woke the
world on that Easter morn? Was it you who
moved the stone? Did you close the eyes of
the guards, as Glory shone around?
Abba, did you allow Mary the right to call you,
Abba, Daddy, Father?
Daddy, did you smile when you saw
the perfect Son, alive, alive, ALIVE?
And did the Angels party, and are they
partying still? Will it be long before you
come again? And does the earth rest?
Do we have the right to call you, Abba, Daddy, Father?
Father, do you always remember your gifts
and promises to us, yet forget the sins?
Can I feel your arms around me? Am I
blessed by your Son? And, Father, do I
still have the right to call on you? Do I
still have the right to call you Abba, Daddy, Father?
Abba, Daddy, Father, do you rejoice in those
names? Do you look at your children
and remember their names, one by one?
And can I stretch out my hand and get
one to one attention? Abba, Daddy, Father,
that is what I call you, by right, My Abba, My Daddy, My Father.
Love Will Come To You
Guess I wasnt the best one to ask
Me myself with my face pressed
Up against loves glass
To see the shiny toy Ive been hoping for
The one I never could afford
The wide world spins and spits turmoil
And the nations toil for peace
But the paws of fear upon your chest
Only love can soothe that beast
And my words are paper tigers
No match for the predators of pain inside her
I say love will come to you
Hoping just because I spoke the words that theyre true
As if I offered up a crystal ball to look through
Where theres now one there will be two
I was born under the sign of cancer
(love will come to you)
Like brushing cloth I smooth the wrinkles for an answer
(love will come)
Im always closing my eyes and wishing Im fine
(I close my eyes and wish you fine)
Even though I know Im not this time
(even though I know your not this time)
I say love will come to you
Hoping just because I spoke the words that theyre true
As if I offered up a crystal ball to look through
Where theres now one there will be two
Dodging your memories a field of knives
Always on the outside looking in on others lives
I say love will come to you
Hoping just because I spoke the words that theyre true
As if I offered up a crystal ball to look through
(I have offered up to you)
Where theres now one there will be two
And I wish her insight to battle loves blindness
Strength from the milk of human kindness
A safe place for all the pieces that scattered
Learn to pretend theres more than love that matters
Keira
She sleeps, softly, eyes flicker,
mouth purses to suck
and I watch,
per chance
to take a photograph.
This is her first month,
we don't know her yet,
her personality will unfold
and her feet
will dance.
Intermingled in her genes
are mother's eyes
and daddy's smile
lost in a filigree of new
and vibrant cells.
A half smile, a half glint
of something there,
her first look
of recognition
and content.
Softly, she sleeps, eyes flicker,
hand to nose, thumbing,
as if to tell the world
sleep is all I need,
they'll have to wait.
Milky dreams, lullaby days
and a soft cot,
my new grand-baby,
a little girl
so sweet.
Crazed
This girl I know is crazed with music
and cannot get her fill.
She ascends with each and every note
and stands atop a hill
where musical tones fill the air
and no disonant sounds are anywhere.
This girl I know is crazed with words
and hears them all the time.
They are in her thoughts and in her mind
and move with rhythm and rhyme.
All these words fill the air
and now she hears them everywhere.
This girl I know is crazed all the time
and cannot put to rest
all these tones and all these words
and finally must confess
that she's the girl this poem's about
and most have probably figured out
that it's me.
Supergirl, Remember Me?
The first time we met, she stood before me,
She spoke just as I was looking,
Not knowing her before that time.
She was suddenly so close to me,
There and merely a few feet from me,
Her face deserving more fascination,
As my mind took in her every word.
I hadn't heard the first words at all,
My eyes taking in her super beauty...
The twisting curling waterfalls,
Her precious cascading golden hair...
Her blue eyes looking straight at me,
As if I held some importance to her...
Her sweet lips moved quite quickly,
Her words bombarded my ears,
Suddenly my mind understood...
And I asked her, 'Please start over...'
She looked confused at that request,
But I explained how she affected me,
She smiled at my honest compliment,
Yet she needed some information...
How strange that my answer was so easy,
I could have told her in seconds,
But then she'd say farewell and be gone,
Thus not fitting love's purpose...
I asked if I told her, would I see her again?
Would she soon return to talk once more?
Or would she never return, leaving me,
Forever like this, being affected by her...
'Tell me what I need to know...' she said,
'I will return to you soon, right here...
We can talk! ' she promised, with a smile,
A smile that took my breath away...
In seconds, being told, she left me, lonely...
I waited there as the hours passed...
Returning each day with a rose bouquet
Of red, yellow and blue roses for her.
Days passed, then I saw her flying overhead.
'Supergirl, remember me? ' I shouted to her...
In a heartbeat, she stood beside me...
She kissed my lips, said, 'TOMORROW! '
Then she and the roses were gone...
Today has come... her promise kept...
She kissed me again, lifting me high...
Then clear across the pure blue sky...
Landing together, some private place...
Walking hand-in-hand upon that beach,
With me thinking it but a dream,
Yet too beautiful for a dream to be,
Because that's how it felt to me...
Love all consuming, engulfing,
Surrounding, swirling, revolving,
Involving every heightened sense,
Controlling every heartfelt hope...
I wondered if she felt that way
Upon this brilliant sunshine day,
That Supergirl could like me, too,
Maybe someday say, 'I love you! '
Undeserving of this Supergirl,
Yet somehow love returned...
What luck is this in all the world,
This joy I haven't earned?
She speaks of Krypton far away,
A distant world so grand...
Yet there she stands upon my left,
As we walk hand-in-hand...
Untitled 15
there is a mountain of words
an ocean of words
a continent of words
there is a rain of words
a flood of words
a river of words and true to their being words
they also disintegrate as syllables
on the other hand some form the clauses
conditions and terms
some make sentences and paragraphs
a world of words full of words
i am not a word and i am buried in a mountain of words
a sea of words i drown
a continent of words i am condemned to walk all the days of my life
too may words my ears do not listen anymore.
my eyes do not like to read anymore.
i like something not having to do with words.
what about a touch? what about a picture?
what about a kiss?
why don't people just make love without saying a word?
let us start touching the hearts of people
to avoid this war of words that lead us to our own perdition.
Treasure
My love and angel I am here for you
my heart beats only for you
my eyes lies just on your face
my lips long to meet yours
my one and only you make me cry
when you say you are going i cry
when you leave me alone
i whish i could hold you close once again in my arms
you are the treasure that i seek you were close to me but i did not know
the love that i seek for many years was right beside me yet i could not feel it
when i close my eyes i see you coming to me my love
then i say to my self this is my treasure
Little Words
Little words penned to broken hearts
Whispered names of a loves regret
Each one who somehow got away
Leaves a thought to a poem in place
Cashing in on the emotion left
The business world of a hearts ache
Making profit from a memory
Writing to keep a piece for yourself
Little words penned to a hearts desire
Lustful thoughts included at price
A story book of emotional strife
Sold to pay for self improvement
Sold to purchase that better life
Little words penned of a new love found
One that will be kept close and safe
One not for sale at any price
The poetry written with a smile
Little words talking loud
Just close your eyes
Just close your eyes
And listen to your inner voice
Stretch out your hand
So that to understand
You are a happy man
Who loves a woman.
It's just a paradise to realize
That you are loved.
It's a real paradise
Where her eyes are
Like the sparkling stars,
Where her arms are
Like the swan wings
Where her lips are
Like the rose-petals.
And it's the world of love.
It's the world in which
You do not need words,
But...if they are spoken
They sound like a tiny brook
The stream that runs down
To the river of love.
The real love
Does not need words.
They are in your feelings,
They are in the heart that loves.
