What Holds What
Memories hold true
Moments hold memories
Time holds moments
Past holds time
The future holds the past
and we hold our future

Past, Present, And Future
As I think about the future,
I dream about the past.
I live in the present,
So I can make these moments last!
So I can’t wait to see,
What the future holds for me!
I feel no remorse for things done in the past,
Because the past holds the key,
To open new doors for present and future necessities!

Future to Future
in the future moments will
come when one person says
to another, “That was great! ”
we never know what
the future holds in store
for us-in it’s infinite
wisdom-but surely you and I
know of it’s impending arrival
some believe the future
holds great times ahead,
some believe in a bleak
fate and still others believe
unborn moments hold
a catastrophic end
me, I like to think that
maybe, just maybe, it
will all happen at the same
instance-I mean some things
will be great, some bleak,
some beginnings and some endings
“great” things will only
happen in the future, because
of now, and that’s tough enough
to decipher-so I will plead, now,
and leave the future to the future

Time
Time is a nonspacial continuum
In which events occur in obvious
Irreversible sequencing union:
Past, present and future, continuous.
What does all this mean to us in our lives?
Well, we have many memories don’t we?
Shared with our loved ones and our relatives.
Past experiences that once were new
Are now old, recyclable memories.
Those timely abstract musings cling to
Everyone: today's contemporaries.
The entire past is what we are anew.
The present is shaped by this time “before”
And hinged on what the future holds in store.

Yours Forever
Here we are in the grays of winter,
Here we are just me and you,
Hold my hand,
Lets face tomorrow,
Tomorrow still holds out its hands to you
This precious time we've only borrowed,
The autumn winds have blown on through,
A quiet thought will tell our story,
Tomorrow still holds out its hands to you
Yes tomorrow still holds out its hands to you
Here some wings,
There yours forever,
And heres some dreams,
That will come true,
Take these tears, to wash away your sorrows,
Tomorrow still holds out its hands to you,
Yes tomorrow still holds out its to you,
Yes tomorrow still holds out its hands to you

Memories will always remind
People say that you have to let go of the past if you want to make it to the future,
Truth is that you will make it to the future but your memories will never fade,
Even the ones that a special person has given you,
That you just can`t earse,
Memories are one of the best things a person can have because its something to look back on for as long as you live,
Memories are ever lasting,
A story to tell,
So hold on to those memories,
For in the future as well

Time Of Our Lives
At our lives, we are only given one small crack;
Sometimes, we all wish we could turn time back.
Life is not something for which we can rehearse;
We can't fast forward it; can't put it into reverse.
Each day is a blank canvas, ready for us to paint;
Memories of some days are vivid; some seem feint.
It is up to each of us to choose how we fill our days;
There are so many options: so many different ways.
There are times when we all wish our lives away,
Especially when looking forward to a special day.
The days in-between, we wish just would not exist,
But, from our lives, those days would be sorely missed.
Some moments, we wish wouldn't fade into the past;
We wish we could pin them down, and hold them fast.
Those moments, we wish we could capture in a jam jar,
So that we can recall just how special to us they really are.
There are moments when we wish time would disappear:
It may be a single minute, an hour, a day, or an entire year.
When we are children, the days seem to just last and last,
But, as we grow older, they all seem to fly by really fast.
Whether it's a really special day, or just mundane;
Whether it's a really sunny day, or pouring of rain,
Every day holds the same amount of value or worth:
Each and every day is a blessing for us on our Earth.

True Love At Last
Everything in the past,
The memories pushed away.
All for one final love,
No more heartbreaks I pray.
You have shown me true love,
What it's really about.
You gave me your heart,
Which holds no doubt.
My past was filled with sadness,
Never knowing if I'll find love.
But then you came along,
A true gift from God above.
That gift was true love,
True love at last.
Our future will be forever,
And our future is vast.

These things say she
Who holds the gift of life
Who walks along a hard road
As time hold no means for at dusk
The word of truth takes hold
Who children shall over write one future
Children intertwine with the elements of
Past and future
Cannot control the fate they flee
One by one
Oldest to youngest
Destiny shall claim them
In the Corse of time
Past and present shall clash
Fear and lost hold new means
For these children question shall be asked
Children lost
But this prophecy, is not that of hope and love
It is that of pain
For pain is life without pain there is no mercy
Yes, these children
Yes, this prophecy is not that of hope and love
But that of the way of life
For each child that screams out in pain
Another screams out with laughter
Yes, it is cruel
For this is the way balance of time is uphold

Breath by Breath
Our moments are precious and
Our time is now.
Use it wisely and use it well!
There is no connecting the past
And future. The presence is the
in-between and only lasts but
Less than a breath.
The presence is so fast,
a blink of an eye and it is the past!
Then are we really living our future with
each inhale and our past goes out
with each exhale?
Are is it really just a pretence of presence?
Future - Past,
Future - Past,
Future - Past!

One By One
Bobby lakind/michael mcdonald
Where and why Im destined to go
Right here and now thats all I know
On either side future or past
Neither is real both fade so fast
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay
Good times are still there to find
When times are their worst
Keep your eyes open wide
cause through it all are moments that shine
And moments that glow
Im gonna be there for mine
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay
Even when youre close to a dream
It can still let you down
Youll always have a chance to give up
So why do it now
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay

Is What Makes Life So Sweet
Memories made over the years
Brings myself to shed some tears.
As future on the past will knock
We can't go turning back the clock.
Replaying the memories in my mind
Of the heartache that I left behind.
Clues to what the future will hold
As the passage of time does unfold.
My entire search is in vain
That it will never come again.
Is what makes life so sweet
A memory caught in a single heartbeat.

Pain Part 2
All the pain inside of me will never fade away
All those painful memories are my darkest moments in time
The past, the present, the future its all the same
I've always been in pain and forever more it will still be here
Time after time
Day after day
I wish I could escape it all
But I keep holding on to whats not even there
Pain is just a part of me
Part of who I am
No matter how hard I try
I won't escape this pain
This pain has a hold on me
I keep breaking and breaking into
I know nothing won't ever save me
Love won't even save me because no one will ever even bother with me

Known Only To Him
(words & music by stuart hamblen)
Known only to him are the great hidden secrets
Ill fear not the darkness when my flame shall dim
I know not what the future holds
But I know who holds the future
Its a secret known only to him
In this world of fear and doubt
On my knees I ask the question
Why a lonely, heavy cross I must bear
Then he tells me in my prayer
Its because I am trustworthy
He gives me strength far more than my share
Known only to him are the great hidden secrets
Ill fear not the darkness when my flame shall dim
I know not what the future holds
But I know who holds the future
Its a secret known only to him

Listen
I hear the
Whispering of the ocean’s waves and
The rhythm of the rays of the sun
Striking the pathways upon
Which I walk while
I try to find
Who I am and when
My spirit shall rise from
Memories of the past that
Sear my very soul and
Above the screaming of
My thoughts that echo throughout
The chambers of my madness;
I search for an answer to my silent tears that have
Filled my eyes so that I am blinded and
Cannot see what the future holds-
Past memories of abuse, pain and
Terrifying delusions are fading and disappearing
And carried away within a gentle breeze-
I may never touch the sky or
Find myself a saint or crowned a queen and
I will surely die someday and
Never be remembered-
I am content inside the world of my thoughts,
The changing of the seasons is musical and
Magical to me-
As the sun throws its rays in every direction
And as I feel my spirit rising and escaping from
The depths of past nightmares,
I look up at the sky and see that
All of the clouds have vanished-
Angels are singing each their own arias as
I am grateful and satisfied to be
Hearing the whispering of the ocean’s waves,
As I believe I have found who I am-
The pathway upon which I walk carries me
Towards the new life filled with hope and joy that awaits me-
I may not know what the future holds but in my own way-
I have touched the sky as the ocean’s waves have washed my tears away-
I shall live my life to its fullest as I am rewarded to be here
Just listening to the ocean’s waves whispering as they
Lap against the shore to carry the sadness of past memories away…

That Need Is Gone
The need is gone,
For me...
To hold onto,
My past.
That need is gone,
For me...
To hold onto,
My past.
And I,
Once had tried in vain...
To keep everything I knew,
Kept...
In my grasp.
Oh,
The need is gone...
For me,
To hold onto...
My past.
Yes that need is gone,
For me...
To hold onto,
My past.
Memories of people loved,
Would stay with me so fresh.
Dreams I had of them quite often,
Would awaken me...
Out of breath.
And the need is gone,
For me...
To hold onto,
My past.
Yes that need is gone,
For me...
To hold onto,
My past.
And I,
Once had tried in vain...
To keep everything I knew,
Kept...
In my grasp.
I once had tried in vain,
To keep everything remaining...
In,
My grasp!
That need I had was pursued,
To keep...
Everything kept,
In,
My grasp!
That need I had was pursued,
To keep everything I knew kept...
In my grasp,
To last!

Those Special Moments
If only we could keep
those moments from slippin' away,
grab hold of them and cherish them
and try to make them stay.
But moments like those so often
are hard to hold onto.
They slip right through your fingers
no matter what you do.
You can think about it, talk about it
and remember it for a while.
Then as time keeps rushing away
what's left is just a smile.
The smile that brings those moments back
as if they were happening now.
And those moments that happened long ago
come alive somehow.
And you realize just a glimpse of them
awakens how you feel.
It takes you back to those moments
that time can never steal.

Past-Present-Future
They spend no time together
Yet they're relatively linked
These three birds of a feather
Who march through time in sync
Present is right now
Past is just before it
Future rightly vows
Nothing will detour it
The past flies by too fast
It's movement so incessant
And with a final gasp
Bestows on us the present
The past is understood
When at present we look back
Most memories are good
But some do sadly lack
For the time that's yet to be
The future, as it's known
Let's prepare it present-ly
With good memories all it's own

Constant Time
Time past and the future give way to this present picture,
But can somebody tell me how to recognize that gate that leads to the bed of roses,
We speak about the future like the past is a grain of sand on the shore,
Washed away by the ocean tide,
Giving way to new grains to make a portrait of the present,
These past memories stay deep in our heart like the depths of the ocean,
Though it gets washed back to shore ones in a blue moon,
Reminding us that our past is a standard measurement of our strength,
Time moves so fast making the past to fade away,
this makes us seem so secured about the present,
Forgetting the fact that our present becomes our past that was once a present from nature as a new day,
Some take the future to be a dream and a wish,
But I take my future to be what I see when I stand from the bottom of the mountain to look at the top,
And my past to be the depth of the ocean that can always be washed ashore …
The only thing I can control is my present,
Yes cos my mind controls my hands to give you a flash of what goes on in my head
Like this words i write to you was once my future and will become my past, making my future my past and my past my future..So ironical isn’t it?
Standing here I sure know 1 thing,
I will reach the top by that foot path,
Yes of course it’s not to mean that I wouldn’t fall,
But I have to break myself off my present past and walk with grace to stand where I belong,
There where I am the king of my destiny,
The past is just going to be a page of memories,
And my future will become my present making time constant in my head,
Because I stand on my past which was once my present and my present which was once my future, making time equal and constant
As I flip thru this page of life,
