To Make Stone Sing
In fashioning Stone to give a song in every turning,
by giving flow to glass that is not molten,
placing a dancing step within a twist of steel,
bringing life and warmth to wood long dead,
seeing the story in a shape, where none intended
this, surely is the alchemy in your Art
By your hand and inner eye is the common
made to become uncommon, cherished, special.
Breathing sympathy into that which, by natures way,
is wrought from clay and holds no life nor feelings.
To balance shapes upon a pin within your mind
and be not breathless at the audacity in the thought.
To know the shape of time and space
To give bright image to a feeling.
To hold within your palm a sunset's touch,
and awaken within a dormant heart
the fires of something long forgotten.
To be a signpost to life's light and beauty.
To comprehend the colours of emotion
and mirror them in paint and weft.
So that on their reading, each heart
and eye, is given choice of understanding.
To bring forth from base elements
The golden touchstone of the future.
To give yourself into the singing stone
So that hand and heart and mind
are laid bare, for all to witness.
To have the courage and the charity
to open your palms and show the workings
of your soul.
Should we not cherish such alchemy as this?

Which Comes First
when two people get married
is it a marriage of Body and Mind?
or is it a marriage of Heart and Soul?
and which one comes first?
SOMETHING TO PONDER!
what did i feel when i proposed?
my Body: told me that i ached for
the joining together, and sexual fulfillment.
my Mind: told me that i wanted to be
with her for the rest of my life.
my Heart: felt empty without her.
my Soul: soared to the highest height
to see all that could be given and achieved.
when i first saw you my Heart stood still
like on a roller coaster going down
and feeling the thrill.
and as that thrill rose, my Soul climbed high above
to show me this beautiful love.
this love so strong that it consumed my Body and Mind.
that it took me to 'the end of time'.
so for me which came first, as you can
plainly see, Heart and Soul was the one for me.
i give you my Heart- and all it contains
for without you, my life will never be the same.
i give you my Soul-for that is the other part

for without a Soul we can not live.

My heart yearns for freedom
Free my heart from the chains of my unfulfilled life
My life of living with no zeal for life
My life of living with a dead soul and a distorted mind
My life of breathing with no air to my lungs
Living life with no purpose is like living no life
Going with the flow of life with your heart resisting
Is like plunging in a burning fire with your eyes opened
I’m crying out loud to you the energies of the universe
With the hope that you’ll notice the sound I make
And that you will comprehend the motive behind my cry
I urge to be freed from the unhappiness that prevails within
My heart yearns to be freed from the suppression of its strength
From being denied its power of self-expression and actualisation
My soul cries for freedom to project its actual image to the outside
It demands that the chains be destroyed to allow it the well deserved freedom
Feed my hungry heart with its energy and its food for the soul
Invite life to my heart by granting it an opportunity to be itself
Activate my heart by releasing it from its chains of freedom
These chains comprise my insecurities and my fears
Untying the chains will loosen up these negative forces
Destroying these chains will destroy these enemies of my success
And will give me freedom that I desperately long for

Stone
The days have passed, nights are gone,
I'm still in love with a stone,
The seasons changed, the clay too came,
I still hold it with no moan,
The clay comes to me in so many shapes,
Wants me to hold it, whatever it may take,
But clay can hurt me, clay may fake,
Even if it's clay, I have a heart it can break,
The season may change,
The clay may go,
Slowing my heart beat,
All time low,
Stone is hard,
Stone is black,
Stone is emotionless,
Doesn't stab at back,
The clay, the stone, both make me die,
But if a stone does, even the clay may cry...

Tis' one life you have,
Open your heart to love.
Love your wife, your son,
Daughter, husband, or special one.
Friends never turn away-
Open your heart to love every day.
Your scars will be many;
Much pain there will be.
Knives will cut deep;
Your eyes will for years weep.
At times you will wonder,
Is it really worth it all?
To love, feel, and cry,
Or to raise walls and inside die?
The latter seems the safer,

Early Works - Feelings
In my mind and heart,
I find joy
knowing you by small words,
but never knowing
the way you feel.
Deep within my thoughts
I ponder
on the question
do your feelings
correspond with ones
my heart and my mind produce,
yet you know
little of my feelings really
for life and fate
has held me out of reach
of your life for so long.
Maybe between the small words
and quiet smiles
I can find a sign
of how your feelings flow.
Yet on the other hand,
if I’ve read things wrong
a one-sided love affair might grow.
So unconsciously in the corridors
where love lies in wait,
I stride cautiously
gaining admiration for you
at a surprising rate.
I must not
fall too quickly
for if I do
the floor might give way
and I shall be hurt
in the fall.
So I tread with caution
overturning each stone as I go.
Upon reaching, the end
there won’t be much I don’t know,
or will there.
I might know all about you
in every detail,
