I understand why you had to leave,
my mind blocked out that you had to depart,
I have massive distress in my heart,
my soul states it is time for the tears and fears,
for now it's time to grieve.

I am crippled by the things I normally love to do,
how can I be that comic, dancer, or singer
if I can't hear or see you?

You know I am not good with good-byes,
this is tearing me apart not be able to see that
protective tenderness that shone within your eyes.

If only one time, in person, I could see that radiant smile
that was always on your beautifully loving face,
yes it is embedded in my heart,
unselfishly I close eyes, a clear visual comes into view,
you're not sufferring,
your smiling that precious smile,
your so very happy
you're now reunited with all the hearts you once had to grieve,
because they also had to depart and leave you.

Instead of lamenting on the sadness
I will reminisce on precious memories

Lay Me Down

Lay Down

I lay my head down peacefully
Knowing that this is the last night I live
I close my eyes
And think about all the good things that has happened to me
I try to hide my tears
Though I do not know why I hide them
Nobody is around here to see
See that these are really happy tears
Happy because I know that I have lived my life the way I wanted too.
I was not in chains my whole life
I figured how to break the spell
I know I am not beautiful
I know I am not perfect
I know there is not much about me
I know
I know
I know
Lying in bed makes me realize it
Lying in bed makes me feel so truthful with myself
Lying in bed for the last night feels such a relief
Nobody would understand that this is by far the best night
Only because I know that my suffering is done.
I can finally smile and mean it
No more fake smiles
I lay down for the last time
I close my eyes and start counting backwards from one hundred
I get to fifty and my tears start to pour down my cheek.
I am so glad this is the last day
Last day forever
I continue to count.
I finally get to ten
I take a deep breath and close my eyes
Three
Two
One
I am finally at peace with myself and the world
I float on up to heaven
To be with all the ones I have lost in the past
I slowly go
With a smile upon my face
My mind and my soul are up in heaven
But my body is lying down on my bed
With a smile upon my face

As I Lay

As I lay there dying
You are somewhere not crying
As you know not where I am.
I ask the Lord to forgive you
Then I ask him my soul to soothe
Finally his glory I do understand.
I think back when we had met
I was full of happiness and no regret
But that was so many years ago.
But then you forgot what I did for love
Not for him or her, but only for us
And the love in my heart that once did flow.

As I lay there bleeding
You are nowhere near not weeping
And how happy I am just for you.
I fought this battle now I’m all alone
Your sins now you must atone
As for me there is nothing else I can do.
I take a walk inside my mind

I want to enjoy my last hours on this earth
Before they bury me in the cold, cold dirt

As I lay there with my heart slowly beating
I feel my life from me is fleeting
Slowly I take in my very last breadth.
I think of not the future put the past
How I stood sturdy and steadfast
And how in life I had just one regret.

I close my eyes for the very last time
No more writing poetry or reading a rhyme
As I fall in forever sleep in my bed.

YOU MUST LEAVE ME

You must leave me as I was before.
You must let me be at peace.
You must not hold on to my heart anymore.
My heart you must release.

Yes, I love thee like the sky loves the sun
and know that I always will.
Yes, I love thee like children love to run
with hearts that are racing still.

I cannot be left with just your voice
although it’s the voice I hear.
My needs are selfish where you’re concerned.
I need all of you, my dear.

And since that’s near impossible

My dream wonder my wish

the soul witness my desire and the beginning
of my contentment lies down of what my life has
done, the past have already gone and wait for

none comes new, but everything goes old, what
makes it so pleasing to see and feel the tenderness
await welcoming the desire of once the heart in
viewed

it is a kind of magic that seems real to touch and the

Picture this

On then off relationship does it make sense? My heart

doesn’t understand this nonsense. My heart thinks on its own.

It holds defense when love is doing wrong. Holds offense

to keep its love at a steady beat and in control. My heart

even plays music cause it knows your favorite old R&B songs.

My heart keeps memories of special moments so when I think

of the bad I see the good and wont be mad or sad. My heart

knows it can't win a fight against love. My heart can stay up late

night and argue with love. My heart can't hide love in the dark

because my heart likes to show off love in during day light.

But we can make love at the stroke of midnight. My heart can’t lie

about love. My heart will write about love telling love how much big

love I got over the love I already got for love. My heart can't run from

love don't want to leave it behind. My heart rather walking close to love

to catch everything my heart needs from love. My heart can’t be in two

different places cause it only remember one face. My heart will do

anything to prove its love. My heart can’t close its eyes on love but

my heart could dream about love when I sleep. My heart is not about

to beg for love either you want me or you don't. And they say a person

heart doesn't have a brain.

Does everything happens for a reason or because

how the seasons changes maybe we just don't see

the blessing we have in front of us.
