This 'n' That

Sometimes, I think about this ‘n’ that,
resurrecting damaged memories,
just to torture my soul.

Sometimes, when lying in bed,
I think about this ‘n’ that,
I doze off to unconsciousness.

Sometimes, this ‘n’ that gets to me,
disemboweling my being,
a cruel unusual punishment.

Sometimes, this ‘n’ that
awakens my demons,
painstakingly I exorcise my fallen angels.

Sometimes, I think about this ‘n’ that,
especially things that don’t matter anymore,
to torture my soul.

Mr. Torture

Welcome to the torture chamber
said the sign above the entrance
laughinh as it taked you by the hand
Looking as i maniac savage
inside you can sense the anguish
theatre of pain has just begun
Mr.Torture gives pain
with his whips and his chains
he knows just what you crave
Mr. Torture
If youre feeling alone
then just pick up your phone
dial 18 double 0 Mr. Torture
Mr. Torture sells pain
Only sixty sents a minute
for his special brand of singing
phone guaranteed to blow your mind
You can catch him on a website
has a live chat every weeknight
cyber-torture soon coming your way
Mr Torture sells pain
to the houswives in Spain
he knows just what you crave
Mr Torture
If youre feeling alone
then just pick up your phone
dial 18 double 0 Mr. Torture
Mr Torture sells pain
Handcaffed,bounded,chained and blinded
body, soul and mind ignated
every sense is torn and ripped apart
Hes been banned in twenty countries
though he does it for money
he gets pleasure by hearing you scream
Mr. Torture gives pain
with his whips and his chaines
he knows just what you crave Mr. Torture
If youre feelin alone
then just pick up your phone
dial 18 double 0 Mr. Torture
Mr. Torture sells pain

Monsters of the Night

Inner demons who seem to rule my fate
for me I feel its far to late
for deep within they always hide
these monsters eating away at me from the inside

inner demons that scream
my thoughts some how not what they seem
monsters that creep out at night
Oh hell! ! this does not feel right

inner demons, please find another soul to torment
for me this torture is no longer meant
My deeply feared monsters of the dark
here no longer will you park

inner demons leave me be
my scary monsters of the night
I beg of you, please finally let me be
for my soul craves, needs the much healing light

inner demons, cast yourselves away
no longer do I want you to have any say
monsters who taint my soul to black
no longer will you haunt, for I will someday find my way back!

Sonnet-Don't Be Cruel

You hit a snake right on its head and kill;
Don't torture hitting it along its length;
For cruelty to man and beast by will;
Is unforgivable in any strength.

How can one torture creatures that are live;
You shouldn't cause pain by Third Degree Methods;
His basic rights, no one can man deprive;
You kill but never wound and watch the Birds.

How can a man be thrilled by causing pain?
To watch with joy a man suffer is sin;
A cruel man must be given the cane;
A heartless soul can Heaven never win.

A cruel heart gets cruelty in turn;
And when he dies, no one will take his urn.

On Torture We Should Not Keep Our Silence

In many so called Democratic Countries Human Rights laws are being transgressed
And people due to their difference from others are imprisoned and oppressed
And suffer the worst forms of torture should we in silence stand idly by
For a wrong against any individual is a wrong against you and I.

A loss of Human rights to any individual is a loss of rights to all
The huge plague of locusts destroyed the grain crops though their numbers once were small
And like the locusts those who go along with torture their numbers multiply
But on such a matter for me to keep my silence would be to live a lie.

On torture we should not keep our silence 'tis time we made a stand
I've got a lethal weapon here the pen is in my hand
I may not command much power but to my own self I must be true
For if you do not speak out against torture you become a torturer too.

In many so called Democratic Countries Governments to torture turn a blind eye
And people due to torture have even been known to die
And those who keep their silence on such a matter are saying
torture is okay
Though a loss of rights to one individual is a loss of rights to all or to me 'twould seem that way.

Torture

When they torture your mother
plant a tree
When they torture your father
plant a tree
When they torture your brother
and your sister
plant a tree
When they assassinate
your leaders
and lovers
plant a tree
Whey they torture you
too bad
to talk
plant a tree.
When they begin to torture
the trees
and cut down the forest
they have made
start another.

Love can cripple you with so much hate; even of oneself.

Carve a canyon in my soul; you can't hurt me anymore. Though I suppose the only one left hurting me is, and always was, myself.

...

There was a time that my tears for you learned that they had the power to carve canyons deep into my soul. They learned that they could teach my muscles to cripple me with hate because I loved you so and hated the fact I did; because you, the you I kept locked up in those memories in my head, would always, always win. The masochist in me learned to like those torture sessions that wrecked havoc on me all over; crave them even. There are memories of you that linger on darker days, in the caverns and walls of this heart that learned to ache for you.

There are the rare good days when manage to somehow forget.

Cold Lonely Torture

You lay there torturing,
I beg you, pleading,
Please, don't torture me anymore,
The lonely space of cold-hearted torture is to much to bare,
Please come lay in my lonely, cold, dark lair, it won't be cold anymore,
For you haved layed down & looked at the stars admiring,
You have sat their denying,
Denying the past love, & torture those unspoken false words, my dear lonely love,

The love is gone, it disappeared,
But you remain in my heart forever,
& I shall have a place in your heart,
As, you loved me once, years ago,
I have a small corner, forever in darkness, my love

You Picked the Right Day for Torture

You picked the right day for torture.
It was too quiet and serene,
To be left untampered.
You wanted your presence felt...
And it was.

You picked the right day for torture
With or without a diet regimen
Or implementation of facts.
What you do behind one's back...
Is left to your interpretation.
Your rules and dispositions are taught!
Although not followed,
And neither held in high esteem.

You picked the right day for torture...
Perhaps now you can see in bright daylight,
The victims you continue to abuse
Are of your own kind.
And of them none can say you frighten.
Yet all have been too quick to say you are crazed!
And today you are here believing you will be praised,
And honored?
You picked the right day for torture!
And how much of it you take...
Will not leave a witness to feel remorse,
Or show heartbreak!

They have come to watch you exploit,
Your own pain!
You have picked the right day for torture!
Everyone came to give you the limelight,
And the fame you claim!

Unorganised Regimentation

(for Brian Miller Cumbernauld new town artist where I come from)

They stand upright
cast totem poles,
Banners large and stretched,

Standing stone sculptures
rounds and squares,
abstract silhouettes,

dimensions three or four
coloured against concrete grey…,
This unorganised regimentation
This unequivocal expressionism

Egyptian Tanks In Tahrir Square

Mighty yellow metal monsters
intimidate approach Tahrir Square;
symbolic modern dread dealers
of death sent to scare spread fear;

but courage of Egyptian peaceful protesters
defies president calculated tank terror threat;
day upon day witness oppressed courageous
civilian populations demands freedom fight.

No torture dictator rule indefinitely steals
a sovereign nation’s dream freedom right;
No general president in immunity survives
indefinitely citizen’s claim to freedom right.

My Wound Is Deeper Than Yours

Do angels fly higher in the dark?
Black is my mind when a new day has come
Black are the tears when I cry
Come here and take my hand, join this misery
The fallen angel set us free
[BRIDGE]
Do angels fly higher in the dark?
Do they crash down and fall apart?
[CHORUS]
Let's cut the wings away
and the angel has fallen again
Together in eternal flames
Where the cold razor cares
[Repeat]
[OH OH OH OH OH thing]
I do not care if you want to hurt me
Torture is ecstasy to me
You cut my wounds so deep, even deeper than your's
Like fallen angel without remorse
Yeah...
[CHORUS]
[BRIDGE]
[CHORUS X2]

Universal Peace

Is not the finest steal
refined through
torture in the fire?

This world will
torture minds which
see grasp hope for

a catalysis of change
to restore order
from schemed chaos

to promote universal peace
instead of universal profit
promoting fellowship not misery

Rumi

I have fallen into unconsciousness

I have got out of my own control, I have fallen into unconsciousness; in my utter unconsciousness how joyful I am with myself!
The darling sewed up my eyes so that I might not see other than him, so that suddenly I opened my eyes on his face.
My soul fought with me saying, “Do not pain me”; I said, “Take your divorce.” She said, “Grant it”; I granted it.
When my mother saw on my cheek the brand of your love she cut my umbilical cord on that, the moment I was born.
If I travel to heaven and read the Tablet of the Unseen, O you who are my soul’s salvation, without you how I am ruined!
When you cast aside the veil the dead become alive; the light of your face reminded me of the Covenant of Alast.
When I became lost, O soul, through love of the king of the peris, hidden from self and creatures, I am as if peri-born myself.
I said to the Tabriz of Shams-e Din, “O body, what are you?” Body said, “Earth”; Soul said, “I am distraught like the wind.”

Legalization Of Waterboarding?

walk not a torturous road to justice?
make not evil lawful within the state
as Nazi Germany did walk not this road
issue no torture warrant to legalize crime
as Nazi Germany legalized mass murder

allow torture to be clinically supervised?
assign observer proper medical monitoring
duty to determine control quality of torture?
guard against torture life-threatening?
duty of trained medical professionals?

officially provide for doctors to treat
the tortured God help this tortured soul
as doctors patch you up to endure more
torture during and after torture ordeal?
would you hang observing head in shame?

George W Bush Loves Waterboarding
George spoke of authorization in memoirs
how his lawyers told him it was legal to
systematically repeatedly drown suspects
innocent but presumed guilty without trial

Amnesty International and Geneva Conventions
disagree with your lawyers ignoring laws George
but my lawyers assured me it benefits our society
but Eve said it was good but Satan said souls will
positively not die thieves are so happy until caught

somebody has stolen right to be tried in impartial court?
right to be held in a prison cell not a humiliation cage?
do you not know sowing hate seeds strengthens enemies?
recruitment soars evil grows holds us at bay by the throat?
Lord is it not written “return evil to no one” it is written!

“Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place
to the wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is mine;
I will repay, says Jehovah.” But, “if your enemy is
hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something
to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon

his head.” “Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil,
but keep conquering the evil with good.” Romans 12: 17-21.

The Devil Inside

He swears hell love you by candlelight
And for a while things seem all right
And for a moment he hides
The devil that lies inside
And then one night in a fit of rage
The demon raises his hand in hate
And brings it down on you
There is nothing you can do
And then one night in a twist of fate
The angels bring your face to me
I cannot erase the memories
Of you lying there looking up at me
Chorus
Please take the demon from my head
Wont you please erase the memories
And ghosts who haunt my bed
I just want you to understand
That Im gonna be the only man
To ever touch your soul
And I aint never letting go
Theres a room that lies down the hall
Where you sit and write you poems
Of love and mystery
Of faith and fantasy
And you keep a secret lover there
And a book beside an easy chair
That you read before you go to bed
To hide the memories in your head
And now I try to understand the pain
You struggle for the words to say
It dont come out right
As you lay your body down
Chorus
Theres a place where you go
Ive been, Ill never know
The pain you keep inside
The secrets that you hide
But I try to understand your pain
And be a shelter from the falling rain
Just maybe I feel what youre going through
Maybe I have been there too
Please take the demons from my head
Wont you please take the demons from my head
(I shall try)
Repeat

To call something an 'enhanced interrogation technique' doesn't alter the fact that we thought it was torture when the Japanese used it on American prisoners, we thought it was torture when the North Koreans used it, we thought it was torture when the Soviets used it. You know, it's almost the moral equivalent of saying that rape is an enhanced seduction technique.

Judged: Not Guilty

She doesn't understand the mistake she made
This time she took it too far and now she must fade
I told her again and again the game she plays is wrong
But I didn't realise that she was truly so far gone

She kept asking me why, why it was only one little lie
Her face, dear god, I couldn't take it anymore I couldn't not cry
So innocent and naïve; did she really not realise what she did
She looks so worried like I am going to hurt, innocent little kid

I can't let them take her; I hope that you can find her soul
After all I won't be there to help pay her soul's toll
I know many will see her as a monster but I hope she loves
I hope that one day she realises that im watching from above

A life for a life that is how this society works today
I couldn't help her, save her in any other way
I will take her place its all I can think of to do
I hope you forgive me because I entrust her to you

I ask that you teach her better because it seems I failed
I hate to leave but it seems its time for my ship to set sail
Just not in a way that I was expecting it to embark
Now it seems this torture begins at the signal of the lark

So when the morning sun rises after my demise
I want you to tell her the truth she need no more lies
Tell her that my eyes bleed for her but I do care
And her punishment is the one only I shall bear

Sad Exchange

Quietly thinking to myself
Sharing half our mind instead of none
The shakings just begun
The pleasantries are gone,
This sad exchange pleased neither one of us
So we finally gave up
Meanings tend to give out
The Time was gone to act out
this living torture, living torture
No talking When I want you to Listen
No talking cos it's Living torture, Living torture
Dont know why, dont know why, we cant stand aside
(I don't want your many faces
we don't see right)
If I had known back then
Whatever I know now
I'd think Id have answers but I dont know why
So we finally gave up
The Meanings tend to give out
The Time was gone to act out
But Here I am and Im still living
No talking when I want you to listen
No Talking cos it's Living Torture, Living Torture
No talking when I want you to listen
Don't tell me what Im trying to say to you
Both of us know
What it sounds like in my mind
Now both of us know
What it sounds It Sound like
Both of us know
What it sounds like in my mind
Now both of us know
Now both of us know
No talking when I want you to listen
No Talking cos it's Living Torture, Living Torture
No talking when I want you to listen
Don't tell me what Im trying to say to you
Quietly thinking to myself
This sad exchange pleased neither on of us
