City
So expensive
City
Full of luxury
For those that can afford
Only if they have money
City
Full of parks
For the kids to play hockey for free

Tale of Three Cities

New York blasted London blasted
Singapore -
Ripped off each other's metaphoric balls,
Crumbling walls.

Priapic city monoliths -
Blue-sky scraping bastards -
Shout about their height (but really length) .

V8 arseholes didn't care -
Pumping shit into the air,
So long as they were always there to
Fart aloud a smoggy cloud,
Laughing at the weak asthmatic,
Humoured that it seems traumatic.

Watch the greedy cities oozing
Chair-bound fat committees, though they
Look a bunch of titties as they
Waffle on about the pound.

Ever thought to look around and see
That they were dead?

The Man Who Climbs The Highest Pole Of The Bridge...

at the highest bridge on the city of
Cebu a man in his twenties
climbs the pole and sits there overlooking
the city
the City is in panic
for he must be saved
his name is taken: Juan
Molina,32 years old,
a thief, jobless, and without
any known relatives
and he is so hungry
and it is so hot at the top
and he is coming down
if there is something to
eat

they thought he is going to jump
and kill himself

which is not the fact of the case
he simply wants to see
the whole damned city
of leaders who cannot understand
that he too needs work
to have money to buy something to
eat to pay for the rent of his boarding space,
his bills, and his toothpaste
and soap

all the while the city is angry
this man must be sent to prison
we are so disturbed
and he creates the massive
confusion

sad, sad city.
suicidal masses
luxurious lifestyles of the rich and
the famous elite

most of the poor and the
lost do not ask anymore where is God?

The Query: Ahs City (a curious city)

the Query: Ahs CiTy

(a curious city)

iT was the night before whatever
i guess it's not important
In between the now & never
in the City on the Hill
the tremors shook the residents
and the City still was still
-still full of talkers
with alterior shit
we'll call them the Authors
of Material Spit
and the Rich enslaved the people
in their expensive addiction pit
the Rich die in their Treasure
but they arent leaving here with it

..And all the while the suicides pile
for the kitty cats vigil in the city's exhile
the meows were fewer, the deaths were linked
the kitty cats in the city were almost extinct
its the ninth life insanity
enough cats die to dog a greedy humanity..

I marvel in awe as I dwell on this mystery
the suspect then dawns on me

Who is this Mr. E?
He's called Curiousity
he's allergic to cats

The Big City Type

I woke up in a big city apartment

Rode to a big city job

On a big city subway

With hip, big city people

Worked at a big city job

In a big city skyscraper

Stood in a big city line

For lunch, heard big city jazz

On a big city radio station

It was like a big city scene

In a big budget movie

When I realized I had become

The big city type

I always wanted to be

Yet I was still me

Country Girl

Livin in the country
Doesnt make me stupid
i dont just eat Fried Chicked
but i dont eat expensive squid

People say being a city rat is great,
but i love being a country mouse
It may not be a big mansion city
but hey, a box is worse then my house

So me, being a country girl, i have more skills
more skills in every category
I can drive, cook, ride a horse, drive a skidoo
and pretty much anything a 19 year old city rat can do: D

The Most Expensive Girl In The World

Jimmy was a fly guy with a big mercedes
He thought he could get all type of ladies
He makes a lot of money cause he is a money maker
And if he looks for style he rides jet ski in jamaica
He met this beautiful girl at a bar
And jimmy could swear she looked like a star
He got the the most expensive girl in the world
The most expensive girl
But jimmy didnt listen - yes he didnt
His friends warned him - he thought they must be kiddin
Jimmy felt in love like he never did before
For any kiss he gets she takes him to the store
Every time she buys more than jimmy can carry
So she employed a butler and his name is: larry
He got the the most expensive girl in the world
The most expensive girl
Jimmy is out of money he spent all on his honey
He is searchin for a credit but his friends regret it
He is workin at three jobs but that is not enough
To pay all her needs to pay all her stuff
I saw her later on a luxury ferry
And next to her stood a man named: larry
You got played, boy !
He got the the most expensive girl in the world
The most expensive girl

Love Is Expensive And Free

Written by Tony Scalzo
VERSE
You can talk to me about powder kegs
And how I'm sitting on one right now
You can warn me about candles
and whole things burning from the outside in
But don't tell me about true love
'Cause I don't think you really know
CHORUS
You need to pay the costs
You need to feel the loss
'Cause love is expensive and free
Love is expensive and free
VERSE
Talk to me about appearances
I tell ya' lately they mean less and less
Do your best to keep me occupied
It's hard to concentrate, I must confess
Don't you tell me about heartbreak
'Cause it ain't written in the stars
CHORUS
You need to pay the costs
You need to feel the loss
'Cause love is expensive and free
Love is expensive and free
Alright, you got me
VERSE
Don't you worry 'bout my baby
Her eyes are open all the time
I could never bare to see her
Much less remove her from my mind
I didn't talk to you about true love
I didn't think you'd understand
CHORUS
You need to pay the costs
You need to feel the loss
'Cause love is expensive and free
Love is expensive and free
Love is expensive and free

Rent

(again... again... again... ooooh
(again... again... again... again... ...)
You dress me up, Im your puppet
You buy me things, I love it
You bring me food, I need it
You give me love, I feed it
And look at the two of us in sympathy
With everything we see
I never want anything, its easy
You buy whatever I need
But look at my hopes, look at my dreams
The currency weve spent
(ooooh) I love you, oh, you pay my rent
(ooooh) I love you, oh, you pay my rent
You phone me in the evening on hearsay
And bought me caviar
You took me to a restaurant off broadway
To tell me who you are
We never-ever argue, we never calculate
The currency weve spent
(ooooh) I love you, oh, you pay my rent
(ooooh) I love you, you pay my rent
(ooooh) I love you, oh, you pay my rent
Im your puppet
I love it
And look at the two of us in sympathy
And sometimes ecstasy
Words mean so little, and money less
When youre lying next to me
But look at my hopes, look at my dreams
The currency weve spent
(ooooh) I love you, oh, you pay my rent
(ooooh) I love you, you pay my rent
(ooooh) ooh, I love you, you pay my rent
Look at my hopes, look at my dreams
The currency weve spent
(ooooh) I love you, oh, you pay my rent
(ooooh) I love you, you pay my rent
Look at my hopes, look at my dreams
The currency weve spent
(ooooh) I love you, oh, you pay my rent
(ooooh) I love you, you pay my rent
(ooooh) I love you, you pay my rent (its easy, its so easy)
(ooooh) you pay my rent (its easy, its so easy)
(ooooh) you pay my rent (its easy, its so easy)
(ooooh) I love you (its easy, its so easy)
(its easy, its so easy)
(its easy, its so easy)

High In The City

I got the time, I got my feet
Lets go hit the street
High in the city
High in the city
I got my mace and you got your knife
You gotta protect your own life
High in the city
High in the city
I wanna get high in the city
I wanna stay alive here in the city
I wanna stay high in the city
High in the city
High in the city
Lets not walk down sutton place
You know everybody there got an akitas
High in the city
High in the city
Dont wanna talk politics today
I feel too good let me have my way
High in the city
High in the city
Watch out for that guy on your right
Seen him on the news last saturday night
He was high in the city
High in the city
Hey, look theyre setting fire to that jeep
Theres not much you can keep
High in the city
High in the city
I wanna get high in the city
I wanna stay alive in the city
I wanna stay high in the city
High in the city
High in the city
So many people feeling low
And theres only one way to go to
Get high in the city
High in the city
Lets grap a pie, lets hit the park
Ill kiss and hug you till it gets dark
Here in the city
Getting high in the city
(high in the city)
(high in the city and youre looking so pretty)
(feelin pretty witty, gettin high off of the city)
(hi-ai-ai-ai, high in the city)
(high in the city)
(high in the city and youre looking so pretty)
(feelin pretty witty, gettin high off of the city)
(hi-ai-ai-ai, high in the city)
(high in the city)
(high in the city and youre looking so pretty)
(feelin pretty witty, gettin high off of the city)

Two Old Friends

when we were children
we were already friends
in the middle of our own poverties,

we struggled to rise from the lowest
echelon. Years passed. And now

we see each other again.
His fingers are filled with diamond
rings, as big as a fist of a child.
His coat is expensive.
Everything in him is expensive now

His car. A picture of his beautiful wife.
A corporate lawyer too in the
city. He will be taking the bill
tonight in this expensive restaurant.
The finest wine. The exotice cuisine.

As usual, I will do the talking,
as always, since then, he had
always been on the side of silence.

Ask him to tell a joke, he says
he has none. Ask him to tell a
story about himself, he says
there is nothing nice about
his past. Ask him about his
present, he says there is nothing
worth talking about himself.

He has all the secrets hidden
inside his silent gazes. He smiles
to every story that i tell. He
likes my company.

Inside my mind, i could have
asked him: how many persons
have been killed in your name?
How many assets are taken
mercilessly from the hands of
your economic foes? What
brain is this that keeps on
acquiring and scheming and
killing who obstructs his way?

He is my friend, as always and
i do not have the right to ask.

The night is over. It is time to
go home. We are on separate cars
now and he tells me, 'take care! '

Sometimes, i ask myself if i understand
what life is all about really. I am home,
And i decided not to preach,
even to myself. I honk the car,
and the gate opens.

It is 3 o'clock
in the morning.

Museum Of The City Of...III

What were they looking for, there,
so long ago?
a diplomat's corpse, bound, gagged and fish-mauled?
(for whatever it's current deficits, this city once had Edge,
and blossomed in the Deuteronium spritz of the Cold War,
til things...rent, got so expensive-Why?)
The soon-to-be end of a quest
cracked by a 'facilitated' confession in some precinct back room
under the kliegs,
by such means as would make New York Law And Order's look tame
and low-tech as a wrist watch,
from some Bond-type con with good legs,
sitting hands shackled behind him, erect in a swivel chair?
A chest of plutonium, lead-lined, of course?
A water-proof safe filled with numbered, stolen bills?
The crown jewels? And if so, who's?
Letters of transit issued to some Soviet spy?
dating from a time when America unabashedly bossed the U.N.,
as it should, no? ,
and people could travel with pride and impunity,
and gas cost 79 cents a gallon?

I doubt it...

I Am Not Going To Tell You The Name Of The City

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which my steps are still searching for me.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
whose bridges are longer than life.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
under whom even the sky was like a tent.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which I learned to start up a new journey as soon as I arrive.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
which is never to grow old.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which I met the eyes with the color of the sky.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
in which I was knocking on my own doors from inside.

I am not going to tell you the name of the city
which was a cage far too small for my wings.

Chicago through my eyes

Chicago is a city that never sleeps
From parties to clubs to talk shows and make over’s
Wake up to the sound of a bird that peeps
To men that acts like a 4 leaf clover.
To Mr. Confidence that stands on thin ice
Your life is what people see it as
Make it something, make it roll like dice.
Expensive diamonds that should be in class
But comes last as thunder comes after love.
What is Chicago to the people who live?
Death is my only hope for a white dove.
To a community that arrive in five.
It’s just a city I call home for now
So let me stand up and take a bow.
