Then My Future Could Be Bright
All it took was a cast
As the spirit flowed
And all was left is the past
As memories were just a load
Respect I give to the lovers of art
For I know, that in me they will play their part
With my lovely brains
The airport of ideas
Flying like blowing flames
Yet deeper that the mine of De beers
Respect I give to the teachers of literature
Whose obligation is to form a brighter future
I throw respect to all elders
Yes! It being a duty to my life
Giving praise to my builders
And continue to do what I love
Respect I give to elders of and experts of poetry
Because one day I will form part of the dignitory

Sonnet: Respect
Respect your elders all if they deserve;
Respect your servants too who you well serve;
Respect your father for tilling the soil;
Respect your mother for her love and toil.
Respect all teachers who gave you knowledge;
Respect your friend who saved you from the ledge;
Respect all good minds who advised you good;
Respect the man of God who gave soul’s food.
Respect all strangers who were all Godsends;
Respect your foes who taught you self-defense;
Respect those evil men who you troubled;
Respect the tempter who well you misled.
Respect your conscience which tells you what’s right;
Respect your God who is your Friend and Guide.

Respect Poem
_________________________________________
Resp ect your elders all if they deserve;
Respect your servants who will serve;
Respect your father for tilling the soil;
Respect your mother for her love and toil.
Respect all teachers who gave you the knowledge;
respect your parent who will pay for your collage
respect your friend who saved you from the ledge
respect yourself from not going to the edge.
they are so many things we tend to say
giving respect does not come everyday
don't reject, don't regret just correct
but don't forget to bloody respect.
respect it something i like
doesn't matter if your wrong or right
doesn't matter if you black or white
doesn't matter if your rich or poor
doesn't matter what the hell you own
doesn't matter what way were you born.

No Respect
Respect,
Always everybody looking for some
Respect,
Who do you think youre gonna get it from
Respect,
Anybody here deserving of none
Respect,
Tell me what makes you think
Youre not the one
No respect, no respect none
No respect, no respect none
No respect, no respect none
No respect, no respect none
Respect,
Why be concerned with
Public adulation
Respect,
Pat on the back crying
For attention
Respect,
Finding out what it really
Means to me
Respect,
Honor comes only after
Humility

Respect Parents.......
RESPECT YOUR MOM AND DAD;
IF NOT, THEN YOUR FUTURE WILL BE BAD.
AND YOU WILL ALWAYS REMAIN SAD.
YOU GIVE RESPECT, THEY WILL GIVE YOU BLESSINGS;
AND YOU WILL BECOME THE KING.
THIS IS THE FACT;
NOW, IF YOU WILL NEGLECT;
AND DON'T GIVE THEM RESPECT;
THEN AFTER SOME TIME YOU WILL REGRET.
THEY CAN BE YOUNG OR OLD;
AND THEY ALWAYS CARRY YOUR LOAD.
SO, WE SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT
THEY ARE OUR SECOND GOD.
YOU CAN BE SIKH, HINDU, MUSLIM OR JAIN;
FIRSTLY YOU SHOULD BE A GOOD MAN.

Gaia
(olivia newton-john)
I am your mother--born of the sun
I gave you shelter--what have you done?
Your hearts in turmoil--my worlds in pain
I need to turn you back home again
I am a woman--i am the rain
And like your father--i feel the betrayed
What you are doing--can be undone
You know the answers--tell everyone
Respect me
Respect me
I need you to protect me
For it is you not me
Whose fates in jeopardy
Respect me
Respect me
I need you to protect me
For it is you not me
Thats the part you fail to see
I am the forest--now Im a tree
The air is dirty--i cannot breathe
My streams run empty--my tears run dry
My children call me--dont let us die
Respect me
Respect me
I need you to protect me
For it is you not me
Whose fates in jeopardy
Respect me
Respect me
I need you to protect me
For it is you not me
Thats the part you fail to see
I love my children and Ive been your home
But Ill survive this--if Im alone
Im survivor--but you will be gone
Lets start a new world--from this day on
Respect me
Respect me
I need you to protect me
For it is you not me
Whose fates in jeopardy
Respect me
Respect me
I need you to protect me
For it is you not me
Thats the part you fail to see
For it is you not me
Thats the part you fail to see
Oh respect me
Oh respect me
I need you to protect me
For it is you not me
Thats the part you fail to see

What you want.
Baby I got it.
What you need do you know.

All Im asking is
For a little respect when you come home
(just a little bit) hey baby (just a little bit)
When you get home.
Hey mister I aint gonna do you wrong while youre gone.

Respect
If we can not respect another
How can we expect them to respect us
If we can not respect someone’s beliefs
How can we expect them to respect ours
If we can not respect another’s race
How can we expect that race to respect us
If we can not respect others
How can we expect respect in return
Everyone expects respect
No matter who they are
The only way to gain it
Is to start treating everyone
As a friend, a brother, a sister
As part of our extended family
No matter what colour or creed they are
Only then you will start to get
The respect you so dearly crave

The Elder Speaks
She gathered the young
Stared within the flames of the fire
She spoke of life before and life after
She was old, crippled but her spirit strong.
Stories of old, but lessons within, learned
Honored among her people
She'd never be forgotten
Even long after she was gone
But for now, she had much to say, much to teach
Do Not let poison ride through your veins
Do not let firewater, take away who you are
Do not become some bum, living in the streets
Hold your head up, Show your pride
Dance with the traditions long since gone
Dance like you've not danced before, show your pride
Show your colors, be proud of the heritage given
Be it fullblood or Mixed Blood
Honor the women, the men and the children, the past
I speak to you, for once I was young
Learn the legends, for they are true within words
Respect the Earth, for she is the giver of all life
Respect the Circle, for it never ends
Respect the herbs we use
Do Not abuse Tobacco, Sage, Cedar, Sweetgrass or Peyote
Respect all others, reguardless of their beliefs or way of life
With each word, she spoke, she hugged the young to her chest
They listened with a great admiration, for not many elders wer left
For they were the teachers of the nations
Teachers of the young

Understanding
Why do we fight both black and white
'Cause we don't understand
If you give-you get-but if you want respect
Then please understand
Hatred begins and no one wins
Tell me who pays the price
From our generation to the next
Have respect for human life
A man kills another man for things he doens't understand
How can someone take a another life
If people just don't give a damn
Can't respect a man for what he is a man
Then the world will destruct from racial strife
I do believe in self-and self-respect is where it starts
You have to love yourself before you love me
And if love must play a part-then it has to come from the heart
In order for the pain of hate to cease
We got-we got-we got to stop hatred
Hatred is something perpetrated by lies
We got-we got-we got to have justice
The system plays god by who lives or dies
We got-we got- we got to have equality
Do not judge a man by the color of his skin
We need-we need- we need understanding
To make this world a better place to live in

Respect Sows Peace
Do not restrict respect
to age because someone is old
show real respect to all
but respect most
heart motivation
of people worthy
of that respect.
Respect is given
respect is earned
respect enriches
respect ennobles
graces civilization
elevates humanity
sows seeds of peace.
