The Seafarer's Diary; Berceuse: #5

The daylight beckons
Like a frail beacon:
A tired sentry
Unabashed from this onslaught.
I sift
From pandemonium of the waves
To the stillness of the slumbers
Away from the sea, girdled
To my musical floor.

The sea languidly harrows
As I unlatch my boat
And proceed to the treacherous sea
To sustain my being
And to test the morose waters…

And suddenly,
I feel nothing
And perhaps that is the secret to clemency:
A clandestine fortitude!
Do not fight the waves
With brute force.
Hover, astride
With your heart, your vessel
Your entirety
Until the encumbrance freezes
With time and the sea’s
Laconic sigh.
The sea bestows an attrition,

And as I dash athwart,
Skiving the sea,
The madness
Instills a lurid vileness.

I am undaunted.
I am a seafarer
And the sea trembles
Upon the floor.

Waves Of Fear

Waves of fear, attack in the night
Waves if revulsion, sickening sights
My hearts nearly bursting, my chests choking tight
Waves of fear, waves of fear
Waves of fear, squat on the floor
Looking for some pill, the liquor is gone
Blood trips from my nose, I can barely breathe
Waves of fear, Im too scared to leave
Waves of fear, waves of fear
Waves of fear, waves of fear
Im too afraid to use the phone
Im too afraid to put the light on
Im so afraid Ive lost control
Im suffocating without a word
Crazy with sweat, spittle on my jaw
Whats that funny noise, whats that on the floor
Waves of fear, pulsing with death
I curse my tremors, I jump at my own step
I cringe at my terror, I hate my own smell
I know where I must be, I must be in hell
Waves of fear, waves of fear
Waves of fear, waves of fear

A Boat on the Sea

A BOAT on the sea, my boat,
Eager and frail!
Sweet skies, smile as you look
On that fairy sail.

Waves, great waves, many years
You have worked your will.
Just while she passes through,
Kind waves, be still.

Winds—and I may not ask
That you never blow,
But spare her the moaning note
That the old boats know.

The Seafarer's Diary; Berceuse: #2

I traverse the sea
And its torrential enmity.
The jagged, baleful corals
In need of daylight
Squirm endlessly
Like ivies and chains
As the school of fish,
The cerulean tranquility
And the supple waters
Bend to the direction of the currents.

This marginal expanse
The trenches sink in jeopardy
As the heavens wager the tapestries
That singe in the meddlesome constraint
Of time: A fractured adversary,
A resilient pilferer, a vagabond that strays
Too long that you cannot send it
To slumber.
The marred waves have no claim
Over the pains that this seafarer holds
Behind the horizon, juxtaposed to the shores
As the nameless rocks and the
Ageless shorelines are flabbergasted
As I station my boat: a desolate vessel
By the sea.

I come home to a shack just
Within the proximity of the sea’s
Arms and bosom
And when I send my sleep
To the caprice of somnolence,
I can hear the trees rustle,
The moon whir, and the sea
Narrate the imminent disunion
Of the sea’s heart
And mine.

Suddenly

It's Independence Day I'm free
And it's a strange place to be
I'm gonna break these chains
Unleash the changes in me

I see an endless road
I feel the restless wind
I've lost the fear inside
Cause I've got no choice
But to live or die

Suddenly you're in this fight
alone
Steppin' out into the great
unknown
And the night's the hardest
time
When the doubts run through
your min
Cause suddenly you find your
self alone
Suddenly you find yourself

In an empty room
With a suitcase on the floor
It'll be daylight soon
I'm gonna wage my private
war

Who's watchin' over me
Must be a guardian angel
I just need time to breathe
And give my life
The best of me

[Chorus]

Suddenly you're in this fight
Steppin' out and then

[Chorus]

Suddenly you're in this fight
alone
Steppin' out into the great
unknown
And the night's the hardest
time
When the doubts run through
your min
Cause suddenly you find your
self alone
Suddenly you find yourself

Ocean

Here comes the ocean
And the waves down by the sea
Here comes the ocean
And the waves where have they been
Silver and black lit night, heres to a stealers night
An empty splendid castle
Glowering alone at night, the princess has had a fight
Madness seeks out a lover
And here come the waves
Down by the shore
Washing the soul of the body
That comes form the depth of the sea
Here comes the ocean
And the waves down by the sea
Here comes the ocean
And the waves where have they been
Dont swim tonight my love, the tide is out my love
Malcolms curse haunts our family
Odious loud and rich, ruler of filthy seas
Revel in heavens justice
And here come the waves
And save for a scream
Theres much like a song to be heard
In the wind that blows by the sea
Like the wind
Here come the waves
Here come the waves
Here come the waves
Here come the waves

Andy tooks us down upon the keyside
To board the silver boat
Upon the Wind and Waves

And Johnny took us on the boat
He held the sails, he tied the ropes
Upon the Wind and Waves
And Desiree she watched the ocean

The Boat and The Sea

I will tell you, my Dear
Story of the Boat and the Sea

'Since the unknown time
The Boat heard the call from the Sea
Wings of Gull, blue waves
Took Boat traveled everywhere, all ways

The Boat's soul's filled with hopes
And the Sea's boundless love
Boat went far, further no tiresome
The Sea was still far...so far

Those nights the moon was gentle
The sea was like a girl, who's little
She whispered, she sent her thoughts
Round the boatside, waves elapsed

Sometimes, causeless
The Sea, its waves, pourred impetuously in the Boat
(Because of Love, for all times, ever was just imovable?)

Only the Boat understood
How boundless the Sea was
Only the Boat knew
Where the Boat went to, back to

The days without meeting
The sea was with white head, with missing
The days without gathering
The Boat was broken - crack
If already seperated from the Boat
The Sea only remained the wind and waves
...up and down, a craze'

If having to be separated from you
I just only remain storms

After the Sea - Ship

a dancer on the stage
the ship and the sea my envy
they dance to god's repertoire
a heartwrenching spontaneous dance
energetically executed
over a stage that rotates in waves
strenuous steps that shuffle between life and death
poignant steps that send the hearts afiery, the feet frenzy
first a breeze, a soothing calm
that would soon throw the dancer helter skelter
onto a tempest
where the goddess of dance
has to be propitiated, called upon
for each step, each stomping of foot, feet
up and down, up and down
over treacherous waters
where the living bares their souls
and dancers fashion in motion every emotion
each muscle, each nerve
tested for their fitness in
the dance of the god
a repertoire of surprise, fear,
excitement in all its facets
a dancer thrown to the last test
the trading of steps for life
the waves pounds, she angles herself
steadying herself to the next onslaught of
the yet unknown dance beats
from the world master of dance
puppeteers of the world
that work behind our eyes

After The Sea-Ship
AFTER the Sea-Ship-after the whistling winds;
After the white-gray sails, taut to their spars and ropes,
Below, a myriad, myriad waves, hastening, lifting up their necks,
Tending in ceaseless flow toward the track of the ship:
Waves of the ocean, bubbling and gurgling, blithely prying,
Waves, undulating waves-liquid, uneven, emulous waves,
Toward that whirling current, laughing and buoyant, with curves,
Where the great Vessel, sailing and tacking, displaced the surface;
Larger and smaller waves, in the spread of the ocean, yearnfully
flowing;
The wake of the Sea-Ship, after she passes-flashing and frolicsome,
under the sun,
A motley procession, with many a fleck of foam, and many fragments,
Following the stately and rapid Ship-in the wake following.

Here comes the ocean
And the waves down by the sea
Here comes the ocean
And the waves where have they been
Dont swim tonight my love, the sea is mad my love
Its known to drive men crazy
Malcolm has burned at sea, the castle it sits and reeks
The madness can make you hazy
But here come the waves
Down by the shore
Washing the rocks that have been here
Centuries or more
Down by the sea
Here come the ocean
And the waves down by the sea
Here comes the ocean
And the waves where have they been
Castles glowing at night, towers above out fright
Warlocks decapitating
Malcolm he lives on hate, serve your brain on a plate
Feasts on your mouth for dinner
But here come the waves
Down by the sea
Washing the eyes of the men
Who have died
Down by the sea
Here come the waves
Here come the waves
Here come the waves

Friend-Ship

My friendship is sinking,
I'm bailing out water as fast as I can,
Move too quickly the boat will tip over,
Move too slowly the faster it will sink,
Seconds away from abandoning ship,
But there's land in sight,
So close to shore,
Tying a rope to the boat,
Jumping into the water,
The water is so cold,
Pulling the boat to shore,
Moving too slowly,
Waves threatening to take the boat away,
Waves threatening to take me away,
Suddenly the shore seems so far away,
Waves fill the boat with water,
The burden of the weight of the water,
Becomes unbearable,
The rope is pulled out of my hands,
And the boat sinks,
Pulling me under,
I swim to the surface,
Swim to shore,
Once on shore I look back,
There is nothing left of the Friend-ship

The lake [Lacul]

Heavy piles of clouds advance,
Following an unseen way,
And because of their slow dance
The lake's face is color gray.

Near the water, full of grief,
The sad poplar, lone and bare,
Wailing for its withered leaf
Bends and trembles in the air.

Waves go by and seem to gloat
Move with low, but constant speeds,
And they rock an empty boat,
Which is lost among the reeds.

How I wish this very year
In a starry night of May
On your waters deep and clear
With my love to float away,

Listening with a gentle bow
The waves' stories and their lore...
But the way you're looking now,
My dear lake, I do like more!

On a stormy sea

When the waves of the sea
became bigger and the wind
started to blow at storm strength,
the boat didn’t sail anymore
and it rocked in the waves
bobbing up and down in the water.

The men were afraid of death
while the Christ
walked on the stormy sea between the waves,
scared to sink and afraid of drowning
and also of seeing a ghost
appearing on the water,

but His calm voice brought serenity
to the wind, waves, sea and men on the boat.

Light Beckons Her

LIGHT BECKONS HER

Light beckons her

She that travailed much

Light beckons her

She that tasted life’s test in earnest

Light beckons her

She that suffered much in her years

Light beckons her

She that passed her test in flying colours

Light beckons her

She that claims all my heart’s honours

Light beckons her

She that travailed much now has repose

Light beckons her

See how the angels cuddle her in warm embrace

Light beckons her

Now rest is yours! Rest Caroline! Rest Adelanke!

For Light beckons you!

No noise with light but silence, sweet silence.

Therefore enjoy your rest, Adelanke

As Light beckons you!

Storm At Sea

Below us there was a rising and falling,
Waves of breadth claimed a devastation;
The comical waters were customs and beliefs,
Persuading us as sailors to listen and learn
To the lapping of the ocean on the boat’s hull.
It sounded a pity to see a little water on your soul
And body and boat, the reality was immensely disgusting.
It disgusted them when gusts of the greatest winds
Formed density and texture of a gale,
This compelled them to squint at the hidden sun
For more waves and more water to be hidden.
Treating them kindly after a sunset,
The night waters sprayed juice and venom as well.

The Tempest

It started out a bright sunny day
as on his boat he sailed.
The wind in his hair, the sun on his face
the salty sea air was inhaled.
He'd learned how to master the giant waves.
He'd sailed with his dad in a squall.
He'd been taught to bravely face a storm.
He lived for it since he was small.

He saw the gulls aloft in the air.
He watched their flight and thought
'I feel as free as those white-winged birds, '
happy with what he'd been taught.
The time went fast. He glanced at his watch
and then he searched the sky.
Off in the distance he saw dark clouds
and turned towards shore with a sigh.

All around darkness closed in
and the winds and rains did blow.
He struggled to keep his boat aright
and his fear started to grow.
This can't be. He loved the sea
but the violence in the sea had spread.
He tried to think calmly and heard his dad.
'Don't fight it son or you're dead.'

He could not see to steer with care.
The waves broke over his head.
He tied his body to the boat he loved
and thought about being dead.
Bruised and battered but breathing still
he prayed with all his might.
And with the darkness came God's answer.
'Sail away with me into the night, '

Boat On The River (Frankfurt 2000)

Take me back to my boat on the river
I need to go down, I need to come down
Take me back to my boat on the river
And I won't cry out anymore
Time stands still as I gaze in her waters
She eases me down, touching me gently
With the waters that flow past my boat on the river
So I don't cry out anymore
Oh the river is wide
The river it touches my life like the waves on the sand
And all roads lead to Tranquillity Base
Where the frown on my face disappears
Take me down to my boat on the river
And I won't cry out anymore
Oh the river is deep
The river it touches my life like the waves on the sand
And all roads lead to Tranquillity Base
Where the frown on my face disappears
Take me down to my boat on the river
I need to go down, won't you let me go down
Take me back to my boat on the river
And I won't cry out anymore
And I won't cry out anymore
And I won't cry out anymore

The Seafarer's Diary; Berceuse: #3

I am an automatic wanderer:
I lackadaisically brave
The riotous sea as I banter
With the Sun’s flustering fever
That the apertures of the promontories
Cannot sweat out with blood
And acrimony.
The sea does not need me,
That I am sure of
But I need the sea
For the sea has taught me
Everything:
From the sediments of my soul,
To the residues of pure flame,
A tormenting lament
And the chaos of trouble
Over these deceitful waters.

I set my nets in redundancy:
Anguished, exhausted
And spineless
My nets enervate as the sloshing
Of these infuriated waves
Tamper all that is left of my
Equanimity, my heart.
My pillars are frail
But my soul continues.
A mindless drudgery,
A game of thieves without an accolade:
I let the sea
Steal all of me.

Until nothing is left of me:
A seafarer without a sea.
