The couple that had something unusual
A power they shared that kept them as one
Some called it love though it was stronger
Through the trying times they clipped to it
Even at death they looked not to be scared
All they said was see you later to each other
And there they slept with smiles of freedom
We never discovered the power they shared
He owned nothing but his small brown book
His family had all vanished in an accident
That was all that he had left, we all thought
But he had something else that we knew not
We thought him mad and threw stones at him
All he said was father save these sons of yours
Then he closed his eyes with his face held up high
Never did we discover the power he held inside
The children that always sung songs of praise
Singing of the great power that we had never seen
They all came from a childrens’ home near by
Carried thankful and joyful faces like life was fare
Like they had lost nothing and had all they wanted
Their bus crushed as they travelled to a Church
All we heard them say last was, they had gone home’
It was that same power they too had and that day
I too received it and it blesses my life each day

Like A King
I never wanted life like a king
I always wanted just to be as normal as I can be
Though the powers I have can make me a king
Yet I lay down my shield and just be normal
I have all the answers to the world people cant find
But the answer are too complicated for them to realize
Still I hid behind that bush pretending so innocent

Power To Change
The power God used to save me, is the power that will change me,
The power of the Savior’s blood, and His grace He gives with love.
He is my friend and my Savior, my Sovereign God and my Creator,
And He, who saved my dark soul, can make a heart pure and whole.
The power of His awesome Grace, truly helps me as I seek His face,
To allow His Spirit to take control, as God changes this wicked soul.
The precious blood of God’s Son, has the power to change anyone,
Who comes to The Cross of Christ, to receive from God a New Life.
By Christ’s blood we were bought, so that change could be wrought,
In the body that belongs to Him, Christ who was crucified for our sin,
This body Christ called the Church; He did not leave here in the lurch,
But sent His Spirit, with His Light, to guide us safely out of the night.
The changes are the Father’s will, for this Church that Christ shall fill,
Filled with sinners from every nation, saved by The Lord’s Salvation,
Sanctified by the power of God, throughout the many lands we trod,
As a witness for those still lost, pointing them to our Savior’s Cross.
The changes shall continue in us, as in our Savior we place our trust,
To be all that we can be, through His blood, that flows from Calvary,
As His Grace gives us the power, for our needs, every day and hour,
Until that day, when by God’s Grace, we see our Savior face to face.
