The Holocaust of Dreams

Dreams are lined up against the wall
In an imaginary Holocaust
One by one, they are shot down
As the dreamer is grounded
To an uneventful reality
A place where innocent fantasies get you nowhere
Because others have lost them too early
And so with a sharp tongue
And a cold heart
They line your dreams up
And tear them down.

Sweet Dreams

Sweet dreams are made of many things
The different thoughts that we constantly think
The very things that that lie in our fantasies
And create a thought that's tenaciously sweet
That we savor so much while soundly asleep
Things that can only happen in dreams

My sweet dreams are made of you
The perfect moments and the perfect gloom
The perfect place and the perfect dream
But whatever could be more perfect than you?
Is only what I can conjure in my sleep

Life is a reality and dreams are the opposite
It's the time we find peace from every worry
It's a place where every story has a happy ending
It's a place where every person has a chance to be happy
It's a place where you and I have a happy ending

A cradle song before we sleep
And escape the grimes of reality
And the things that keep you away from me
Life is a reality and dreams are the opposite
Dreams are the sweetest and life is life
In my dreams you and I are happy
But in reality... life is life.
Sweet dreams are made of many things
And mine are made of you

The Dreamer's Poet

Dreamers dream
dreaming that
all their dreams are dreams;
and is reality then multiple-shaped
or itself a dream?

If dreams are things not real or true
or don't yet exist
then what does it mean for dreamer to
act upon the dream and bring it forth
into reality?

Was the dream just reality
not yet existent;
in waiting so to speak?

Or was it live
always there
waiting to be discovered?

Seems to me
this is much like a poem;
how the poem comes to be-

unless, of course,
the poet
is a dream too,
outside reality
paradoxical conundrum
don't you see?

And more:
could it be the Dreamer's Poet
in dreaming thus
creates the Poet
and the Poetry
both of which
become Reality
Thus?

Imaginary Life

She would swim with the dolphins ,
In the sea,
In her dreams there is nothing she can't do or be,

She only wants to escape reality,
And for awhile she soars free,
Imaginary life,
sometime helps her escape,
The real world that surrounds her.
With her unknown fate,

She would soar the sky,
a butterfly,
A fairy tale princess,
who is saved,
By a knight in shining armor,
Making a cold lonely night seem warmer.

Than the morning comes,
and her dreams fade.
Reality awakens her in the sunrise,
Stealing her away from her imaginary life.
When she was a child,

Fairy tales had a happy ending,
And for awhile,
It was fun pretending,
But she learns to well,
Life is no fairy tale,
Sometime a princss never becomes a queen.

Only if she closes her eyes,
She can live her dream,
in a imaginary life,
Taking her away from reality,
She would swim with the dolphins in the sea.

A Dreamer's Journey

In my dream I am flying, I'm dancing on starlight,
Sending a wish into the night that I may find you,
That we may journey to a place where love lives eternal,
A place where endless rainbows mark the beginning of dreams,
Where unicorns graze in fields of daffodils and I am lost in your smile,
I send a wish upon the wings of angels that you may join me,
For my heart is drenched with the tears of a lonely soul,
Will you follow me to the place where love lives forever,
For in this place all dreams can become a beautiful truth...

The dream is real... The failure to realise it is the only reality...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Yesterday Dreams

(brian cadd)
Producers for bonnie: david mackay, ronnie scott, steve wolfe
Lonely summer needing rain, standing quietly going insane
Said, I love you, you never heard a word
Memories that still cause pain, I lost the feeling I cant explain
Still I need you, dont that seem absurd?
Shattered dreams in my heart, always gonna tear us apart
Making it so hard to start all over again
Yesterday dreams, yesterday dreams
Here they are coming again, yeah
Fading pictures in my mind, another place, another time
Its the same old song, just another melody
Dont ask me cause I dont want to say
Hes the reason that keeps me away
I wont go through it again, but you dont even see what I mean
Shattered dreams in my heart, always gonna tear us apart
Making it so hard to start all over again
Yesterday dreams, yesterday dreams
Here they are coming again
I dont want to lie awake with you at night and wonder why
Looking at your hurting eyes and asking me if its all a lie
Perfect pattern of part-time love
Always aware were gonna make it above
What I lost before taking us both nowhere
What youre askin I cant give, pick up the pieces thatll let you live
And dont ever look back cause I wont even be there
Shattered dreams in my heart, always gonna tear us apart
Making it so hard to start all over again
Yesterday dreams, yesterday dreams, here they are coming again
Yesterday dreams, yesterday dreams, here they are coming again
Yesterday dreams, yesterday dreams, here they are coming again

A Poem of Many Dreams...

Middle class dreams
Can only assume wings
And fly across fancy-sky

Dreams remain dreams
Dreams with wings
Fly away beyond...

Dreams absorbed
Remain within
To follow the dreamer

Dreams dead
Turn into ghosts
Suspended in the air

They pervade mind's grave
Haunting the dreamer in the night...

Mr. 'B' the Talker

Like a first time,
My legs shaking
with the sound
of my heart beating.

To the bar I walked
for a seat available.
He was soon to arrive,
The crossing of ours paths enabled.

I found myself lost,
So blue and gentle his eyes:
Into powerful attraction to My Valentine,
his voice, smell, and face...

My hands holding his,
His lips gently spelling words,
Entangled in a warm hug of energy,
My mind awaken flying into what ifs.

We were there together,
but not forever.
His voice into words of reality,
affraid of romance matters.

Reminding me to get grounded,
A Valentine for the day,
A friend 'going with the flow',
Blowing my dreams of US away.

Cold words, Warm memories,
A Heart Dreamer awaked,
never teased with true love,
Flowers or Romance.

Believe in your dreams

Search the depths of your soul where reality is lost to illusion
Explore the meandering labyrinth of your consciousness
Open the doors to reveal the hidden treasures of your heart
Believe in your dreams and the wonders of life shall live
Journey the limitless realm that lives within your fantasies
Where horizons are chased and illusions caught
A magical land where kings triumph over tyrants
And mermaids dance in pools of shimmering crystal
Where the dragon rides the winds of the seven skies
And rainbow waterfalls light up the landscape of invention
For only when we journey to this wonderous land
Built upon the magic of dreams by the child within
Shall our tomorrows know not sadness and sorrow...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Falling

In dreams I was
Falling
But in reality I was
Leaping
In dreams I was
Crying
But in reality I was
Waiting
Is there a difference?
In dreams I was
Running
But in reality I was
Walking
In dreams I was
Dying
But in reality I was
Living,
Catching,
Helping,
But helpless,
Watching the earth die

Look Sharp

Big shot, tell you what
Tell me what goes on around here
Go on and get me in the corner
Smoke my cigarettes and drink my beer
Tell me that this world is no place for the weak
Then you can look me in the eye
And tell me if you see a trace of fear
You gotta look sharp
You gotta look sharp
And you gotta have no illusions
Just keep going your way looking over your shoulder
Okay, what you say
Tell me what theyre wearing this year
Go on and laugh at me cause you dont see
That I got something going right here
Say Im just a dreamer
Say Im just a kid
Well ace, shut your face
Maybe you will see or hear
You gotta look sharp
You gotta look sharp
And you gotta have no illusions
Just keep going your way looking over your shoulder
Big shot, thanks a lot
Gotta go its getting late
I got a date with my tailor now
Thanks for putting me so straight
Tell me how they run the crime down every street
But check your watch and wallet now
Before I go and youre too late
You gotta look sharp
You gotta look sharp
And you gotta have no illusions
Just keep going your way looking over your shoulder

Mocking Bird

and there it was on my roof again
mimicking the sound of the dreamer
it is singing the songs of fantasy
and sleepy
it forgets itself and becomes the dreamer

someone who was awake throughout the night
does not believe in dreams and fantasies
notices the difference between its voice and the dream song

gently he speaks of a homage
to a voice whose mouth had long been silenced
whose tongue was cut & thrown away
whose letters of his name was carved in stone

the mocking bird knows the difference
and then it turns its beak into utter silence
and then it flies away wanting to cut its wings.

A Dream Like State

Imaginary realms of old
Make believe and fantasies
Virtual magic beings of light
Universe of dreams unfold

Kings and Queens
Bow to fate
And lead their Realm
To prosperity

Goblins, Vampires
Fight with glee
Trading blood
For sanity

Gossamer wing
Flutter in the breeze
Fairies dance
On moonlight and sunbeams

Dragons fly to the
Mountains so high
Cascading fires
On wings of the night

Unicorns, and fairies plight
Prance and dance
To the lute of love
That cupid's play

The small child within
Stirs while asleep
And smiles to self
In a dream like state

You wake you sigh
And dream no more
You've lost the plot
Of reality

You stretch and yawn
In twilights dawn
And smile to yourself
Let's dream once more

So quietly you snuggle in
Sweet dreams are what
The slumber brings
Faint smile
A whisper of a sigh
You dream once more
Of all your fantasies

Reality's Dream

I staggered back from the blow;
Reality struck me again
this time harder
mocking me as I fell.

'You have always been so clear about
your plans and goals haven't you;
clear about what you wanted to achieve or know
how you would overcome all obstacles
but Pilgrim you had no plan B;
I always grant people like you
first place in my line
because you all are Prisoners Of Your Own Dreams and Schemes
hurtling through life 'Dreamers of the Impossible Dream'
Perfection's Confection blinds you by its own light-
wouldn't you agree? '

I gradually regained my feet and
stared into those unforgiving, taunting eyes
thinking strangely
that Reality is much like a bully.

'And hear you are now, ' Reality was saying
'alone
without family or friends
clutching to those dreams
which will never come true
being instead
here now
my prisoner
for all eternity

forced now to worship
at my altar.

He cackled a horrible cackle.

I looked at him in a haze
realizing he had a point
but too
that moment
exposed Reality's
own weaknesses:
he was counting upon my apathy-
my sense of defeat-
to make me surrender to him
believe in him and his power.

I rose
stared at him
declaring
'You've miscalculated
I have not given up
true I am wiser now
better now
therefore can move once again
toward the light

You Reality, I now clearly see
depend entirely upon my belief
that you determine everything
all things and my life too
but this is not true
now I see.

You count on my apathy don't you;
my resignation, don't you? '

Reality's eyes grew wide
reflecting,
I could see
his own sense of impending
defeat.

I had discovered Reality's own weakness;
his power existed
only in my belief in him
and my willingness to concede
to him control over my life.

'If I take away my own belief in you' I heard my self say
'in you and your power
you Reality have no power, that is what I think, '
I said
as I began to move straight toward him
invigorated by my new powerful realizations.

Reality cried out, blanched, now fearful
because with each new non-believer
he himself faded a bit more
closer to his own death, revealing
to the dreamer
than in the case of Realities
there are always more than one.

He stepped aside
glaring at me
because he knew
that he had lost another one.

'Some of us'
I said passing by
'come to realize
that you Reality are not to be defeated
but ignored
that today's Reality
does not determine
who one is
or can be;
that
Reality has many forms
and what form it is
is whatever
the Dreamer
dreams it to be;
new realities form
as old ones like you
become dead and done.

The Fairies' Siege

I have been given my charge to keep--
Well have I kept the same!
Playing with strife for the most of my life,
But this is a different game.
I'll not fight against swords unseen,
Or spears that I cannot view--
Hand him the keys of the place on your knees--
'Tis the Dreamer whose dreams come true!

Ask him his terms and accept them at once.
Quick, ere we anger him, go!
Never before have I flinched from the guns,
But this is a different show.
I'll not fight with the Herald of God
(I know what his Master can do!)
Open the gate, he must enter in state,
'Tis the Dreamer whose dreams come true!

I'd not give way for an Emperor,
I'd hold my road for a King--
To the Triple Crown I would not bow down--
But this is a different thing.
I'll not fight with the Powers of Air,
Sentry, pass him through!
Drawbridge let fall, 'tis the Lord of us all,
The Dreamer whose dreams come true!

Day Dreamer

Day Dreamer
By: Adam M. Snow

If dreams would end with life of all life,
would our dreams still suffer with strife?
Would the day dreamer still dream,
or is it all that it may seem?
Dreaming in a night, or in a day,
dreaming as it's all flown away.

Living a life as it use to be,
like branches of stars we see.
Is this but a dream within a dream,
to grasp the glistening moonlight beam?
From dawn to dusk, dusk to dawn,
dreaming of that day that is gone.

That day to which all dreams died,
with all fears and hope we feel inside.
Dreams that died will be born once more.
dreams freed beyond the open door.
If dreams live within all life,
will it one day be free of all strife?

To be in the vastness of one's dream,
and lit the way with a sparkle gleam.
To be with peace and fear surround,
to be the lost now is found.
If dreams would end with life of all life,
would our dreams still suffer with strife?

Dreamer In My Dreams

Well there's a dreamer in my dreams,
Swing from the beams,
(With a) light shining off the snow.
Well there's a singer in my heart,
Burning up the charts,
With songs about things we all know.
Well there's a blister on his brain,
That's driving him insane,
Cause all good things they gotta go.
Well there's a child on the way,
It could be any day,
But how this life will change him, that we don't know.
Well there's a child on the way,
One day, he's gonna say, "Ain't you my dad?"
Then he's gonna look down and smile,
and after awhile,
He'll say, "That's for sure son, cause you got my eyes."
Well there's a dreamer in my dreams,
He's hanging from the beams,
With light shining off the snow.
Well there's a blister on his brain,
It's driving him insane,
And all good things have to go, all right.
There's a dreamer in my dreams,
Swinging from the beams,
With a light shining off the lake.
Well, I know I made mistakes,
I'm passing then all on.
But I hope he gets some before there gone, all right.
Yeah, that's it.
Well there's a dreamer in my dreams,
Climbing up the back,
Of a car they used to call a Cadillac.
It's got a brand new set of keys,
It's got a new look, it's got a new look,
And his young one is gonna take it all away.
I believe it...
Well there's a dreamer in my dreams,
Swinging from the beams,
All wrapped up in my garage.
He's hanging from a bell,
He don't know what he's done,
Just don't forget to day goodbye when he's gone.
That's it

Without dreams, there's mo reality,
I have no dreams, no reality,
Every lock has its key,
I have no locks, no keys,
I have a life,
I don't live,
I will see death,
Which cherish,
Every moment I belong,
To no one else but me,
Seeking stone filled paths all alone,
I lost the word WE,
I have a big place,
So I may sleep,
Not a single shoulder,
So I can weep,
I have people,
I have no friends,
I have a mailbox,
Nobody sends,
I stay here,
I don't live,
I have many questions,
No answers to give,
The place i stay, is it my home?
But I'm not living,
It's just a place,
It's not home.......

Love's Labor Lost

It’s been a long, lonesome struggle…
towards the end of life
I find myself in circles
as if - love’s labor lost

You keep coming and going away
in myriad dreams and dithering thoughts
agonizing tears wet my soul…
how could I’ve loved you so much!

Those sparkling eyes
that voice of yours
have never let me down
in fantasies, when reality speaks…
dreams are all over
as if: love’s labor lost

You were never there for me
how could you, when you were hers
you loved her, she loved you back
what a sweet story…
for you, it may be
for me, love’s labor lost

Falling in love was easy
consequences unthought of…
your mesmerizing aura
made me forget how reality bites –
and it does bite hard!

Just as death draws nearer
my destiny’s games are over
It made a fool of me
gave me all but you...

My thirst for your love remains
an unfulfilled wish, a dying desire
perishing off with this body...
Yes – it truly is love’s labor lost!

Dreaming

Breezes soft as an angels kiss
caress the sleeping maiden’s hair.
Whilst she is lost in dreams of bliss.
Reality cannot compare
with the sweet dreams of innocents.
Who have not yet met with heartache
or suffered from life’s accidents.
Alas too soon she’ll have to wake
to face up to reality
and leave her childish dreams behind.
In pursuit of her destiny.
She too will learn to plot and scheme.
To try to make her dreams come true.
Just as the rest of us must do.
