The Fog Returns
Today the fog returns,
As betimes it does—
Quietly settling in,
‘Fore one could know it was.
The streetlights glisten
Through the misty haze,
With emitted ambience
That readily amazes.
But soon the fog will lift
And silently creep away,
To mysteriously return
Again some other day.

As a veil as a shroud...
And there, in two steps,
It is war behind the haze.
And the battles go on,
But we can't take part in them,
We're absolutly chained by haze to earth now -

Today, I listened to the banshee's wail
Some believe that to be an old wives' tale

Not Only Can Stun But Shock
It amazes me,
How a few dollars...
Can change one's perception.
Or a title one is given.
Or where one goes to school,
To receive a degree.
It amazes me,
What one wears on one's back...
Indicates to some,
Where that person's mind is at.
Or where one lives suggests,
Someone has hygiene.
And that is daily addressed.
Or what one drives,
Has a lesser need for gasoline.
Or the person that drives a nice car...
Can afford to buy groceries.

How some folks judge other folks,
By skin color alone.

Social Gospels
Are we ready to serve The Lord, in a way that by many goes ignored?
Prepared for ridicule and shame, as we lift up for God only one name,
Shamed for speaking God’s Truth, ridiculed by men in strong reproof,
A Truth comprised from God’s Word, Truth today many haven’t heard.
It is becoming more apparent today; in circles we need a broader way,
Circles who seemingly share belief, but bent on providing others relief,
A social relief to this earthly sod, and all done in the name of our God,
Relief to each and every nation, all to the exclusion of God’s salvation.
Is this that faith Christ spoke of, when He returns from Heaven above?
As He questions with real concern, would He find faith upon His return.
Our faith, when He returns to earth, which evidences our real New Birth,
Which seeks God’s Kingdom above, while sharing Truths He spoke of.
That Gospel we were told to spread, is being changed by men instead,
To one pleasing not God, but men, telling of no need to be born again,
While other faiths they do embrace, making a mockery of God’s Grace,
Dismissing other’s need for Christ, God’s all sufficient atoning sacrifice.
They push a gospel to fix the earth, but it has for men no eternal worth,
As they shut The Door in the face, of men who truly need God’s Grace,
With that one Door being Jesus Christ, God’s Only Way to Eternal Life,
Thinking that they’re helping men; with a gospel that God will condemn.

The Alde
How near I walked to Love,
How long, I cannot tell.
I was like the Alde that flows
Quietly through green level lands,
So quietly, it knows
Their shape, their greenness and their shadows well;
And then undreamingly for miles it goes
And silently, beside the sea.
Seamews circle over,
The winter wildfowl wings,
Long and green the grasses wave
Between the river and the sea.
The sea's cry, wild or grave,
From bank to low bank of the river rings;

Misty Cloud called to blue Misty Sea,
