The Drive Through
My father drives on, the rising sun
Just forward of his blind spot,
Pale faced and downward beaming
ear to ear into the flats of salt, then arches.
We eat, break, fast, drink
beer, soda or soft
drinks and I hold his hand.
America changes to wale skin
From dust, my father’s hand, shaking mine
On the stick of the transmission, the transition
To grey from a full head of dusty red
Sand ahead. The last hours on salt flats
Burn out, radio statics and I hold my breath.
The drive through, America
To new hues of deep blues seems too
See-through to be you
America.

America
(Francis Scott Key)
Oh, say, can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched were so
Gallantly streaming?
America, America, America
America, America, America
And the rocket's red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
Oh, say, does that star
Spangled banner yet wave
Over the land of the free
And the home of the brave!
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America
ooohhh

Don't Tear America Down!
Those who thinks America is finished;
Think again. Feeling dismayed that
You are not leaping ahead like before?
It is not only in America; worldwide, indeed.
America is not finished; it will be there,
Even in the dark hours of economic meltdown.
America will be there, for Americans are
Too proud, too strong willed to let
Their country go to pieces.
As their motto says:
'O Say Can You See! '
And, 'God Bless America,
Land That They Love! '
Americans truly loves America.
So, think not of a doom America
Think of a America of renewed hope,
Renewed love, and renewed faith,
For, if unbetold to you before,
God really loves America

Foreigners....
You look at me and ask yourself
Who am I?
What am I?
What have I to do?
I`m a Latina, nada mas, nothing more
Why do I have to pay for my father crossing that border,
For my father proving your race,
That he didn`t need your language,
He didn`t need your education
Nor did he need your approval
To be what he is today.
You look at my father
You think,
My America is full of these wetbacks
Who made your America
what it is now,
Full of immigrants
Full of ignorance
Full of foreigners
Who will never be white
Yet you forget that once America put up such a fight
With these non-whites,
Theses foreigners
These folks full of color,
And who do you think won?
Look around you.
What do you see,
Nothing but minorities all around
All about
Be careful for soon you will be slapped in the face when you see that you are now working for these foreigners....

Every Man (And Woman)
if every man in America
could reach his own member
with his own mouth,
we wouldnt have a problem
with gay rights!
if every man and woman
in America knew they were
as responsible for their thoughts
as for their actions...
we'd all be on death row!
if every man and woman
in America spent as much time
trying to help their neighbors
as they spend trying to get ahead...
we'd all be taken care of!
if every man and woman
in America were color blind,
we'd have equality!
if every man and woman
in America were honest with
themselves, we'd have justice.
if every man and woman
in America got off their but
and on their feet
we could do something
about this mess!

Voice Of America
I heard you on the radio
Some other time
From some forgotten studio
Way down the line
So long, so long Ive waited now
To hear you again
That song, that song will still remain
Become an old friend
And now, the tears are in my eyes
The sound you cant disguise
The truth comes back from lies
And all I want to hear
Voice of america, ooh, america
Voice of america, ooh, america
And then you came in stereo
Calling to me
And so I watch the videos
Across the t.v.
That sound, still ringing in my ears
From a decade ago
Around, around my head, the sound from my radio
I thought, that after all these years
The tears, the growing fears
That I would never hear
Never again

Milk And Honey
Welcome to the land of milk and honey
This is where your braves died to be free
Living in those days for love or money
Left your heart and soul at wounded knee
History and time are all you have now
You were free from sea to shining sea
But thats no matter to the folks who live here
You only ride your ponies on t.v.
Weve got everything youll ever need
Weve got everything youll ever need
eEverything youll ever need
America, America
America, America
All your pride was wasted aint that funny
You never tried to bite the feeding hand
Welcome to this land of milk and honey
Where they keep you fenced on burning sand
War dance for the customers on fridays
Birthrights up for sale in tourist stores
Carved your land and faces on your mountains
Crazy horse can never tie the score
Weve got everything youll ever need
Weve got everything youll ever need
Everything youll ever need

Atomic Insanity Bomb
America, we're drained of enthusiasm for you
America, why this meaningless war?
America, you are no longer beautiful
America, when will you see the light?
When will you call peace and dance and sing
When will you look in the mirror
and see the menace you have become?
When will you read the philosophies of God
that say Thou Shalt Not Kill?
America, when will you open your eyes?
America, why do you dye the shores red?
Why are the guns loaded with skulls?
Why do you leave your brothers behind
To charge bull-like at a cloth too large for you?
America, why are you putting a gun to your head?
America, stop killing me I'm not
Innocent, not Guilty
AMERICA STOP PUSHING!
America don't liberate me I'm already independent.
America I refuse to give up my rights
I refuse to give up others' rights
America don't reject your own
America the HATE is growing
They're rising up growing
America, let the prisoners go
The scholars of war in peace in hate in freedom
The Ginsbergs and Kerouacs and Dickesons and Whitmans
Of generations past
Free the ones whose philosophies peace it together
America your war is at home
America what is your motto?
Mission is not accomplished
It has just started.
America you have life to give,
not take away.
America, you deserve this war
America, my love for you is gone
America, monster, stop your screaming slashing rage
Look into your past
America LEARN from your mistakes
America, make it continue
AMERICA MAKE IT STOP

America Is Not... Is
America is something far greater
beyond the borders of the united states
America is not made of rock land or sea
America is not the country
we were fooled into
mistaking it to be
America is not a monger of war
not a preacher of nationalism
America does not exploit
the weaknesses of humanity
America has never been
represented accurately
or depicted properly
by those career manipulators
America is not a place
where one man can reject
the presence of another
America is raw unearthed potential
freedom truth beauty equality!
America resides in the heart and mind
America is home of the human spirit
America is a dream of potential earth utopia
America is something we all cherish and long for
America, its time we redefine ourselves
rethink our concept of who we are.

I see America, not in the setting sun of a black night of despair ahead of us, I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God. I see great days ahead, great days possible to men and women of will and vision.

America Cries
America cries.
Her economy dies.
Killed by people you can't trust.
America cries as we bite the dust.
America cries. Now come the whys.
No one could see it?
You've got to be kidding.
America cries as the Neros were fiddling.
The capitalist system is so out of hand.
The capitalists have taken over our land.
What's left for us?
Not much you see
except more taxes for you and for me.
Lending and spending, spending and lending,
the crying and weeping will be never-ending.
America cries and says its goodbyes
to times of financial prosperity.
The financial sting that's played like a game
stock market crashes?
foreclosures to blame?
No. America you played into the hands.
They've dumbed us down so no one understands.
America cries. Where were the wise?
They left long ago and will not return.
America cries for she refuses to learn.

America
Walkin' 2 the corner of Main Street, USA
Look at the good people, hear what they gotta say-uh-huh
All right
See a sexy girl with her long black hair
See a preacher man sporting Abercrombie wear-uh-huh
All right
Walk into a corner store
A man says, "This is what I'm fighting for"
[CHORUS]
We are living in America
We're giving in America
We're tripping in America
Everywhere I go, seems like Bush is on TV
We shed blood in the name of liberty-uh-huh
All right
The circus tents are dead, but the sideshow is doing well
The Osbournes and Anna Nicole are too freaky 2 tell-uh-huh
All right
Take the bad with the good
I wanna change it, but I wouldn't leave it if I could
We are trying in America
We're spying in America
Getting high in America
We are laughing in America
We're crying in America
We're dying in America
We are trucking in America
We are f**king in America
We are lucky in America
We are breaking ground in America
Just another town in America
We are breaking down in America
Take the bad with the good
I wanna change it, but I wouldn't leave it if I could
[CHORUS]
We are trying in America
We're spying in America
We're getting high in America
We are getting tan in America
We love Spam in America
Polanski's banned from America
10 million served in America
Have u heard in America?
We're crying in America
We're laughing in America
We're living in America

The people of America
We are the people of America
We fly our flags high and
We live in a America with pride
As we hold each other's hend
United is where we stand!
As the TOWERS fell was this the end?
we couldnt tell!
Now we have our act together we
Love each other more then ever!
No one can tear us apart now we
Are joined by the Heart
We saw the terror at ground zero
We all looked forward to
CELEBRATING our Heroes
We are the people of America
We fly our flags high and
We live in America with pride.

Made In America
R.sambora
Made in america
Nineten fifteen nine
Born down by the factories
Cross the jersey city line
Raised on radio
Just a jukebox kid
I was alright
Just a small town homeboy
With big time dreams
Foollowing his conscience
In a world full of extremes
Fresh outta high school
Only seventeen
I was alright
Blinded by my vision
There ws just no turning back
Lika a runaway train
Life was steaming down the track
Youd say Id never make it out
But I kept on hanging on
Every night I prayed to jesus
And held my head up strong
I was alright
I landed on my feet
Made in america
I was brought up on the street
My old mans independence
Seemed good enough for me
I was made in america
Made in america
Never cared much about politics
Til I was twenty one
But I woke up when lennon
Found the wrong end of a gun
He left his inspiration
Before he said boodbye
And we were alright
We all lose out innocence
Its impossible to hold
I didnt know it then
I had a packet full of gold
When I kissed those younger days goodbye
It almost broke my heart
I was going to ghrough my growing pains
I was driving in the dark
But I was alright
I landed on my feet
Made in america
I was brought up on the street
Im facing up to freedom
And chacing down my dream
I was made in america
Yeah I was made in america
Yeah we all lose our innocence
Its impossible to hold
I just didnt know it then
I had a packet full of gold
When they said Id never make it
I just kept on hanging on
And every night I prayed to jesus
And I held my head up strong
And I was alright
I landed on my feet
Made in america
I was brought up on the street
Facing up to who I am
Chasing down my dream
I was made in america
Yeah I was made in america

America is America
America is America the land of the free, born in
the hope of a new world created, amongst men
who believed the vision of liberty and a freedom
to live in this glorious world
as inspired by valued people, created by its natural
landscaping, bounded by principles that to live in
harmony with nature has come to witness the wisdom
of our dear forefather the dignity of each man, living
in a time of what has been bless by the Almighty Father
perfected by His creation
as the spring birth the summer breeze, and the night
comes after the day, the morning has bless the loving
people of America, where respect and understanding
welcome all nation to shelter, the cheddar of Lebanon
Oh! America, where every hope comes in the most
expected ways, come swift it away for the day has given
to you to stay, Nay! America leaves us with pain, our
hearts echo it joy to renew the eternity bell, where you
always there to lend your hand, Alas! America, your
the answer of our call, the unity that we almost fall, the
clings of every nation souls to live freely as everybody
wants to be free
America is America, the journey that always there, the
step that make us well and the nation that takes you there
Viva America!

The Subliminal Verses 5
Shed your tears
Oh drunken slob
For several years
I’m on my own
Sleepless stars
Above the hills
Send me to god
Oh sleeping pills
Come on and say it
Say it to my face
It’s like a machine has
Taken on my brain
America, America, America, Oh God
Now all I want
To give my self
To think I could
May god define me
Come on and say it
Say it to my face
It’s like a disease has
Taken on my brain
Even till my last goodbye
I’m falling in and out of time
America, America, America, Oh God
Far away across the sea
You’re calling out to me
Come on and say it
Say it to my face
It’s like a disease has
Taken on my brain
America, America, America
I’m falling in and out of time

Why Hate America
.There are so any reason to hate America.
I cannot count them all.
You can hate America because.
There is no King or Queen to bow down too.
You can hate America because.
You can travel from sea to shining sea freely
while traveling you can watch the amber waves
of grain.
As they slow dance and sway to music of God's
gentle breath as it passes over them.
You can hate America because.
There is no guard standing at the gates of
freedom to keep you out.
You can hate America because.
There one man rights to stand alone is just
as great as one man rights to stand with many.
You can hate America because.
No matter what you believe in or faith.
There rights are creatived and handed down
by God, and not governments.
You can hate America because.
America does not close it mind to shut out
freedom of thoughts.
You can hate America because.
Opportunity stands outside everyone door
and knock.
All they have to do is open up and it will walk in.
The list could go on and on.
But I choose to let it end here.
America you are the sweetest thing to me.
It is because of you.
That they have the right to hate you.
Without the fear of repression.
