The Don & 951

951 Gaspra,
a Flora Asteroid
2 million years old
orbits our Sun between Mars and Jupiter.

Its rocky metallic surface
is pocked with impact craters.

Saint Romuald born in 951
screwed himself stupid as a youth
& fled when he saw his daddy Sergius
kill his opposite in a duel.

Rommy became a monk & wrote,
‘Empty yourself completely.
Sit waiting like the chick who tastes nothing
& eats nothing but what her mother brings him.'
He got canon's eyes for that
& did very well in real estate.

Emperor Shizong
also known as Wuyu
was a drunk who liked to hunt.

Wuyu took to the field in 951
& stopped an advance from the South.

Wuyu was killed
by one of his own officers after the battle
because he was a bloody nuisance
& stuffed up the battle plan.

Grigor Narekatsi
born 951 was an Armenian monk,
poet,
mystical philosopher
& theologian.

His father Khosrov was Archbishop.
Grigor wrote,
‘on exposing the unseen,
on the disclosure of secrets,
on laying open the cover up.'

Donald Rumsfeld,
champion of 951 Aspartame,
architect of the Iraq War,
the bright light behind blacks sites,
the mediaeval dungeons of our times said,
in an interview with the New York Times,
‘Oh my goodness gracious me,
we can know an awful lot
of what is going on in this world
by punching a mouse on its nose,

‘I'm standing here,
doing something & I think,
‘What in the world am I doing here?
It's a big surprise.'

The Don, once
‘ferocious in pursuing what he wants'
now lives in an adobe house
across from a working dairy farm.

His family has horses,
a donkey,
a mule,
cats,
and Reggie the dog.

Joyce his missus said,
‘Don has the Reaganesque fixation
with clearing brush and chopping wood.'

They ride,
ski,
hike,
fish,
& skate on the dairy farm pond.

The dead
the refugees
& maimed of Iraq
& Afghanistan
& all those held by the agency
& tortured in secrecy
will be wishing the Don
peace & contentment in his retirement.

Born To Be Ransomed

Born to be ransomed,
Born for a reason,
On one side Love,
On the other side Security,
Mabey,
Taken to be placed elsewhere,
Or,
Mabey,
Taken to be placed with them,

Born to be ransomed,
Held ransomed by those,
For security measures of the father and mother,
So,
They are called on by the beckoning,
Of,
Those holding child held by ransomed,
Is what people do when child means,
A lot to mother and father,
Love and security in family keepings,

Born to be ransomed,
With intent to use child,
By the takers of child,
To profit and gain,
For themselves in lifes times,
When child born is then used,
Till,
Mother and father is killed,
And,
Child is then raised in a racket,
For,
What mother and father were,
And,
Left for the child when child grown,

In giving is receiving,
All that has good intentions,
Gives for good reasons,
Yet,
Why one is born to be ransomed,
Is,
The what see's and pre-desires,
The placement and life,
Of,
What two in love have made,
The unborn child then becomes,
The ransom of what wants,
What,
The two have in love and wealth,

When this goes on and child is grown,
The eyes that see and yet do not understand,
Is,
The child raised seeing all,
From,
The good ways,
To the bad ways,
To the cruel ways,
To,
The crimes committed and seen,
Is,
The eyes of seeing,
From,
Been born in a world disrupted,
Is,
A child born and ransomed,

What is of matter,
Mattering to two,
Two in love,
That,
Choose to be one,
One as in a couple,
To matter and be,
For,
What matters to them,
Is,
What brings matter of two,
To,
Become a matter of one,
A,
Child born of two,

Yet,
Now matter's to none,
But,
What ransoms the child out,
Till,
The child grew to be,
And,
Left them all behind,
Knowing,
Mother and father are dead,
Living,
Life knowing too much,
Just,
From been the ransom,

The ransom,
Of,
All,
That,
Is,
Of,
Mother and father,
Till,
All,
Of,
Mother and father's,
Income and places,
Was,
Spent and giving to others,

Tis,
Then,
Ransomed child grown,
Can,
Leave,
With noting,
But themselve,
To have some kind,
Of life,
Somewhere else,
Faraway!

The Farm

There┬┤s a cockroach in my coffee
There┬┤s a needle in my arm
And I feel like New York City
Get me to the farm

Get me to the farm
Get me to the farm
Somebody get me to the farm

I got terminal uniqueness
I'm an egocentric man
I get caught up in my freakness
But I ain┬┤t no Peter Pan
Get me to the farm

Get me to the farm
Get me to the farm
Get me...

Buckle up straight Jack
Sanity is such a drag
Jellybeam thorazene
Trancendental jet lag

Sanity I ain┬┤t gotta
Feeling like a pinala
Sucker punch-blowin┬┤lung
Motherload-pigeonholed
I'm feeling like I'm gonna explode

I wanna be a Hare Krishna
Tattoo a dot right on my head
And the prozac is my fixer
I am the living dead

Take me to the farm
Take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm

Take me to the farm
Take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm

Take me to the farm
Take me to the farm
Take me to the farm...

Take me to the farm
Take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm

Animal Farm

This world is big and wild and half insane
Take me where real animals are playing
Just a dirty old shack
Where the hound dogs bark
That we called our home
I want to be back there
Among the cats and dogs
And the pigs and the goats
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
My animal home
While I lay my head upon my pillow
Little girl, come play beneath my window
Though shes far from home
She is free from harm
And she need not fear
She is by my side
And the sky is wide
So let the sun shine bright
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
My animal home
Girl, its a hard, hard world, if it gets you down
Dreams often fade and die in a bad, bad world
Ill take you where real animals are playing
And people are real people not just playing
Its a quiet, quiet life
By a dirty old shack
That we called our home
I want to be back there
Among the cats and dogs
And the pigs and the goats
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
Animal farm

Life On Mars?

Its a god-awful small affair,to the girl with the mousy hair, but her mother is
Yellingno, and her father has told her to go,but her friend is nowhere to be
Seen,as she walks through her sunken dream,to the seat with the clearest
View, and shes hooked to the silver screen, but the film is a saddening
Bore, cause shes lived it ten times or more, she could spit in the eyes of
Fools,as they ask her to focus on,sailors fighting in a dance hall,oh man!look
At those cavemen go,its the freakiest show, take a look at the lawman beating
Up the wrong guy,oh man!wonder if hell ever know, hes in the best selling
Show,is there life on mars? its on americas tortured brow, mickey mouse has
Grown up a cow,now the workers have struck for fame, cause lennons on sale
Again, see the mice in thier million hordes, but to the ibeza to the norfolk
Broads,rule britannia is out of bounds,to my mother,my dog,and clouds,but the
Film is a saddening bore, cause I wrote it ten times before, its about to be
Writ again,as I ask you to focus o
N,sailors fighting in the dance hall,oh man!look at those cavemen go,its the

The Boy Lives On Our Farm

The boy lives on our Farm, he's not
Afeard o' horses none!
An' he can make 'em lope, er trot,
Er rack, er pace, er run.
Sometimes he drives two horses, when
He comes to town an' brings
A wagon-full o' 'taters nen,
An' roastin'-ears an' things.

Two horses is 'a team,' he says,
An' when you drive er hitch,
The right-un's a 'near-horse,' I guess
Er 'off'--I don't know which--
The Boy lives on our Farm, he told
Me, too, 'at he can see,
By lookin' at their teeth, how old
A horse is, to a T!

I'd be the gladdest boy alive
Ef I knowed much as that,
An' could stand up like him an' drive,
An' ist push back my hat,
Like he comes skallyhootin' through
Our alley, with one arm
A-wavin' Fare-ye-well! to you--
The Boy lives on our Farm!

Edgar Lee Masters

Barry Holden

The very fall my sister Nancy Knapp
Set fire to the house
They were trying Dr. Duval
For the murder of Zora Clemens,
And I sat in the court two weeks
Listening to every witness.
It was clear he had got her in a family way;
And to let the child be born
Would not do.
Well, how about me with eight children,
And one coming, and the farm
Mortgaged to Thomas Rhodes?
And when I got home that night,
(After listening to the story of the buggy ride,
And the finding of Zora in the ditch,)
The first thing I saw, right there by the steps,
Where the boys had hacked for angle worms,
Was the hatchet!
And just as I entered there was my wife,
Standing before me, big with child.
She started the talk of the mortgaged farm,
And I killed her.

Hero

In the good times, we were made to shimmer.
In the bad times, we were born to shine.
A hero is not made in contentment,
A hero is simply defined.
He rises like a giant through the ashes.
From a structure the inferno has burned,
The ones that have hit their rock bottom.
Will rise and never return.
It is they, who are born to be leaders,
But for a time, they follow the pack.
The ones that answer their calling.
Stand up and never look back.
Inside us all there is a hero.
The one we were all born to be.
The warrior defeated in battle,
Will rise for the whole world to see.

Nun and monk

A nun is born to blush unseen
And waste her sweetness in the desert.
A monk is born to beam unseen
And lose his shower in the ocean.
Both are ill born to wither unseen
And miss the other half in the wilderness.
Who is the cause, the God or His sons?

Daddy's Working Boots

(Dolly Parton)
My dear hard workin' daddy works his life away for us
That's the way that daddy shows to us his love
And Daddy's two hard working hands
They're callous and they're sore
And Daddy's workin' boots have walked a million miles or more
As long as I remember, I remember Daddy workin'
Workin' on the job or either on the farm
Tryin' to provide for the family that he loves
And Daddy's working boots have taken many steps for us
Chorus:
Daddy's workin' boots have served as his foundation
Though just like him, they're tired and worn
For years they've helped him stand
Daddy's working boots have filled their obligation
They've walked that rocky road with a mighty, mighty man
Dear lord above, I know up there my Daddy's got a mansion
And a great reward that's long been overdue
And when it comes my Daddy's time to be with you in heaven
Spoken:
Won't cha let him walk your golden streets
In a pair of brand new golden boots
Repeat Chorus
Daddy's workin' boots

Always A Champion

I was born into a whole wide world
With feeble limbs and simple mind
At entrance, I could feel the heat
Suggesting another world different from where I was
Opening my eyes, I could see the faces of warriors
With hands to battle though with smiling faces
I could feel a great burden on me
I knew it was time to face my destiny
It kept ringing on my mind you are a champion, born to win
With my guardians, I began to learn
Took a step, one after the other
When I fell, I rose to walk, limp or do both
Muttered what I have to say hoping to communicate
I began to advance in height and knowledge
With great sensitivity to my environment
I felt love and hatred, brutality and friendship
I heard lies and deception, sincerity and truth
I saw light and darkness, day and night
I learnt the right from wrong but found it difficult to do the right
Because the system was stuffed with evil
Since the nature could not accommodate vacuum
I chose the right because I knew my destiny
I chose to profess the truth despite the challenges faced
The opposition was great that I had to remind myself of my destiny
Born to war, destiny to conquer and win
Always a champion stamped from above

2010/08/31 Book Of Secrets

Took Nici to a hairdresser to plan a hairstyle
for the ball, then visited a novelty shop and
found a fairy dairy in pink that recreated all
my auric dreams, a three-dimensional fairy
within a string of pearls, flowers, coloured
glitter, silver ink reflecting the light

Though the key is stuck without turning, it is
the prettiest fairy picture I have ever seen, I
shall lock up all my favourite poems in it, it
shall be my book of secrets, I shall treasure
it, a reminder of that beautiful dress I saw at
the dressmaker, fuelling dreams

I must find a way to take the dairy everywhere
I go on earth, I never want to be without this
enchantment again, I adore this dairy as I have
never adored anything before; bought coloured
notebooks in the past, but nothing like this, it is
glorious to be in possession of real magic

The most wonderful, bewitching blend of the
the sublime…

How can I write the story

of a battle fought and won,

when lying close beside me

Is the body of my son?

He was ordered to this field,

a place where his unit bled.

Wounded, left to die,

when even surgeons fled.

The sole object of my interest

Is this, my oldest son.

Does it matter Lee was beaten?

That the Union forces won?

All around me is death’s harvest-

for him, a fruitful one.

I will send you home to mother

and be cursed for what I’ve done.

The photographers are roaming

Through the fields of blood and gore

Taking pictures of the fallen.

They are bringing home the war.

(This is the true story of George Wilkinson, a correspondent for the New York Times and his son, Lt. Bayard Wilkinson, late of the army of the Potomac. It is based in part on the article he wrote for the New York Times on 7/4/1863. This day saw Lee defeated and retreating from Gettysburg and the fall of Vicksburg. It was the decisive turning point of the Civil War)

One sun and one moon

One sun and one moon
Bright sun with hot noon
One moon with dark light
Cool and peaceful silent night

Stars many with vast horizon
Too many secrets under belly not made known
High above ground exist mysterious world
Below the surface too many secrets many fold

On the earth surface exists human race?
Life is to be pursued with lots of chase
Tremendous fight for domination and control
Animals too fight back for loosing battle

Who knows about the real outcome?
Whatever be the case can be only welcome!
Life is everywhere but must be liked
Whoa are we to say” like or disliked”

Accept it as it is ought to be
All are born with liberty and free
It belongs to all and may stay as ever
