When I first seen you I knew you where mad chill
I taught you about how the East does it

You showed me new artists to listen to
I showed you my obssesion for Tupac
Are first disscusion was marijuana
And how different it is from the West
You where my new buddy
We did almost everything together
You even seen me cry which no one really ever has

Which at first was cool
Then she turned everything around

Didnt grow many wild roses
But she was young and restless
And I loved her though holding her down was hopeless
I wanted her to say she couldnt live without
The life I had to offer but all she could talk about
Was faraway dreams, cities shed never seen
How do I find that girl when she could be
Out there anywhere she just up and left
She didnt leave a forwarding address
Or a trail for my lonely heart to follow
Which one of those four winds should I go chasing
She could be in a million places I guess
Up north, down south, back east, out west
She could be up in the windy city

Or gettin a tan down in miami that might be where Id catch her

The Journey of Life

I rose from the east, travelling west
With bright eyes, looked at the earth,
With my warmth to many, I gave birth,
I know in the west I have to rest,

To my back are the loud laughing faces,
Living merrily with love ones enjoying lives,
Going in evening with gifts in hands to hives,
In front are those who have run, won the races,

How many of the flowers will store my name,
A sun that once on them dim but shone,
Some will come and read my name on the Stone,
With my flesh will perish my name and fame,

But I have people in front of me, waiting,
No reason to scold west no reason for hating.
