The Bribe
Funny how the grime suits temples.
The Gods seem aloof otherwise.
While I pray,
A lady jostles through mass hysteria
And bribes God with a coconut
Let her daughter marry.
Another eyes her son and daughter in law
cuddle oblivious to the crowd
and sighs
May she have a grandson.
God is not too sure about this though.
Contraceptives do work, you know

My Daughter's Eyes
When i look in my daughter's eyes
Its like looking into the skies
When i look in my daughter's eyes
Sometimes all i see is her cries
When i look in my daughter's eyes
You will never see any goodbyes
when i look in my daughter's eyes
People will never be downsize
When i look in my daughter's eyes
Maybe there will be some lies

In My Daughter's Eyes
In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes
And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about
It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daugter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

To get the best dowry, marry the poor man's first daughter but the rich man's last daughter.
Chidinma [The Lady I adore]
Chidinma, she's the lady I adore
Never knew she would fall in love
Now it seems everything's gone wrong.
Chidinma, she's my lover
Wonder if I could take her to dinner
And beat every other sinner
And change my life for the better
For she's a preacher's daughter
I would love to impress her father
Show her mother how much I
love her daughter.
I want to be with her forever
Marry her and take her to America.
Maybe south Africa,
Or even Jamaica.

Where our innocent warm tears flow?
A sad message from Dandenong, Australia;
Our loving daughter Tharindu
Who's delivered a premature stillborn son today!
How do we send our deepest sympathy?
We realized the present distance darling daughter!
It's like the sky & Earth.
Do you feel our warm tears?
The cruel invisible hands taken our unseen Grandson
Earlier he took our Granddaughter too during my absence.
To whom we claim this unfair gamble and offer our inner cry?
Darling daughter be patient and we're with you till our last breath.
I have a name for you my unseen Grandson!
Lucky! (As you have not seen this cruel World)
We never forget our Lucky!
Your poor Grandma cries behind me like an Antelope.
You're the luckiest Portrait printed in our fragile hearts
And very soon we come to your lonely resting place sonny!
Yes, with my teary loose-leaf book of Sorrow!
*A humble dedication to our new grandson who bid Goodbye without seeing your poor Grandma & Grandpa! Our dreamy rainbow bridge collapsed, and we checked our old Passports, validity already expired it seems and we're very near to you!

Poetmother In Rags At The Doors Of Ikea
My daughter lives in there.
There's no way I could stay:
Look at what I'm wearing,
Even though I gave my daughter.
You see all my sin.
No way could I fit in.
But still,
I have given daughter,
So stand aside!
I will not be denied
A little look inside
What I've given daughter.

The latest lesson of my grandson
Four year old
Daughter's son
Just started talking
In some kind of comprehension
Returned from school
The other day
And there were some guests at home
Some of who were to
See our grandson first time
And it was my daughter's role
To introduce each
Of the guests
To her son
She is your aunty
Say 'Hi' to her
Which my grandson did
He is your 'Anna'
(Anna in Tamil means elder brother, it can be cousin too)
Say 'Hi' to him
Which my grandson did
This your grandma
Say 'Hi' to her
Which my grandson did
This went on
Till the time
All the guests were introduced
It is our practice
To give the child
A handwash immediately after
His retrun back home from school
And I took that charge
While I was helping him
In getting a wash
The fellow asked me
In a low voice like whisper
Are there no good person
Among our guests
Startled I asked him why
And he replied
Just today
School miss said
That all of us should
Grow to become a good person
Mom said these people are
Either grandpas, grandmas,
Uncles, Aunties, Annas or Akkas
But she said none
To be a good person

My Virgin Daughter
Take my virgin daughter and marry her,
And make love to her all day till she concieves;
For she is all that i have for you.
Her hands is on her threshold of love and,
She is waiting for you to come in;
So take my virgin daughter and marry her,
For she is all that i have for you.
Spread your wings of love to cover her nakedness,
And share her aroma of love all night long;
For she is all that i have for you.

Through My Daughter's Eyes
Through My Daughter's Eyes
Through my daughter's eyes
She doth despise
Nothing on this mortal earth
Holds more worth
The respect and love of your child
Is worth more than any gold compiled
But today I have lost it all
Through her eyes of one yet small
And like the world and how it spins
I pray that she comes round again

Why Can't That Be Me
Why can't that be me, the daughter
you come home to
Loving me all the time, and saying I miss you
Why can't that be me, the daughter you call everyday
The daughter that you miss so much, that she takes your breath away
Why can't that be me, the daughter that makes you cry
The one that touches your soul, everytime she says goodbye
Why can't that be us, daughter to father
Without you in my life, everyday it gets harder

Mothers And Their Daughters
they struck him down hard early in life
he slaps me around plenty
i cannot leave
my daughter never cries
to feed my daughter
i will take on the whole lot of you
the young men howl
i am a mother in time of famine
my daughter dying at my breast
my husband wants a son
my first child a love child a daughter
a wedding to make it right
a family joke to keep me honest
they have a one child policy here
he took my first child my daughter
sold her to the americans
as a child they mutilated me
for fear i might become the woman i am
they will never get to my daughter
I am told to hate my burqa
it keeps my secret from him
my daughter will wear the burqa

Daughter of Africa
Daughter of Africa
You are walking now
And tread the path
Away from me
Daughter of Africa
You are touching now
While my body is
Away from you
Daughter of Africa
You are moist now
Not knowing the stranger
Who enters you
Daughter of Africa
You sleep now
While my heart
Yearns for you
Daughter of Africa
You are dieing now
And you finally remember
Me
Who cried for you.

My Daughter
(for Sarah 'Button', I'll always love you. Dad.)
My daughter
Is graduating high-school.
I don't know what
To say - or do -
I'm so proud...
I'm so sad;
Tears of joy, and loss, I've cried both...
She's my daughter, I'm her dad.
Soon she must make her own way
This I do know -
Still, because of great love
It's difficult letting go.
With God's help
I trust she'll be alright,
For he has a fathers love too;
He'll be with her always, both day and night.
So,
every day
for her
I will pray...
For her future yet to come,
And all the wonderful times and memories
We've together had;
Forever grateful
That she is my daughter...
And that I am her dad.

Father Daughter Moments
My daughter said something the other day
We were sitting on the front steps, talking
Someone wanted to enter the building, she stood up and said 'we're just having a father daughter moment'
My daughter is still young, only 27
And hearing her say that, my heart swelled with pride
She still wants to have moments with her father
My adult daughter still needed me
So much is said about the mother-daughter bond
But there's an even stronger bond between a father and a daughter
No matter how old she is, she's still daddy's little girl
And he always wants to be there for her
Father daughter moments last a lifetime
From playground accidents to a broken heart
You do your best to help her pain go away
Because when she's in pain, you are too

The Page And The Miller's Daughter
PAGE.
WHERE goest thou? Where?
Miller's daughter so fair!
Thy name, pray?--
MILLER'S DAUGHTER.
'Tis Lizzy.
PAGE.
Where goest thou? Where?
With the rake in thy hand?
MILLER'S DAUGHTER.
Father's meadows and land
To visit, I'm busy.
PAGE.
Dost go there alone?
MILLER'S DAUGHTER.
By this rake, sir, 'tis shown
That we're making the hay;
And the pears ripen fast
In the garden at last,
So I'll pick them to-day.
PAGE.
Is't a silent thicket I yonder view?
MILLER'S DAUGHTER.
Oh, yes! there are two;
There's one on each side.
PAGE.
I'll follow thee soon;
When the sun burns at noon
We'll go there, o'urselves from his rays to hide,
And then in some glade all-verdant and deep--
MILLER'S DAUGHTER.
Why, people would say--
PAGE.
Within mine arms thou gently wilt sleep.
MILLER'S DAUGHTER.
Your pardon, I pray!
Whoever is kiss'd by the miller-maid,
Upon the spot must needs be betray'd.
'Twould give me distress
To cover with white
Your pretty dark dress.
Equal with equal! then all is right!
That's the motto in which I delight.
I am in love with the miller-boy;
He wears nothing that I could destroy.

Father You a Daughter
Sweetie, you know you are all I want in a mate,
Every time that I had ever needed in a lady;
No other can compare to your mystique so great,
So I want you to have my very next baby.
Bear my child, sweetheart...
Your beauty, strength, your grace, and intellect,
Brilliance beyond anyone I have ever known;
The spirit you have inspires me to pay respect
Every good woman and I want raise one of my own.
Bear my child, sweetheart...
Let me father you a daughter,
Knock you up and make us a baby girl;
Let me father you a daughter,
Go every night to bring her to the world.
I cannot resist you,
So bear my daughter, boo.
This child will be our legacy, but another you,
With your very enticing smile, sexy eyes;
I cannot wait to go all night making love to you
For a baby, sharing your joy between your thighs.
Carry my seed, baby...
Never will I part from you, keep it in overnight,
Ready to accept the amazing paternity of two;
A daughter with your way of thinking and life,
If tomorrow ends tonight, I must impregnate you.
Carry my seed, baby...
Let me father you a daughter,
Knock you up and make us a baby girl;
Let me father you a daughter,
Go every night to bring her to the world.
I cannot resist you,
So bear my daughter, boo.
They say the man must do all the work
If we really want to have a pretty little princess;
Baby, just lay back and let me work
Starting with your mind to all five senses.
Knock you up, sweetie...
Passion marks over spots I already licked,
Kisses trace each place my fingertips ran;
Battlefield Bedroom is the place to get some...
If love is war, then I will declare it much as I can.
Knock you up, sweetie...
Let me father you a daughter,
Knock you up and make us a baby girl;
Let me father you a daughter,
Go every night to bring her to the world.
I cannot resist you,
So bear my daughter, boo.
Bear my child, carry my seed, baby
To not knock you up would be crazy;
Such a dream of mine come true,
And I long to savor moments with you.
By far the finest from sole to crown,
I truly love to please you up and down;
To have you walking around with my child,
Makes the obstacles we faced worthwhile.
Let me father you a daughter,
Knock you up and make us a baby girl;
Let me father you a daughter,
Go every night to bring her to the world.
I cannot resist you,
So bear my daughter, boo.

Father And Daughter
Father and daughter spend some quiet time together in the living room
Shining through the curtain is the sun
And outside is the glorious afternoon
Father reads to his daughter the poetry she loves
Father and daughter enjoy each other's company
Father takes his daughter by the hand
As they take a walk outside
Father cares for his daughter
And always wishes the very best to happen for her

The Shadow-Child
Why do the wheels go whirring round,
Mother, mother?
Oh, mother, are they giants bound,
And will they growl forever?
Yes, fiery giants underground,
Daughter, little daughter,
Forever turn the wheels around,
And rumble-grumble ever.
Why do I pick the threads all day,
Mother, mother,
While sunshine children are at play?
And must I work forever?
Yes, shadow-child; the live-long day,
Daughter, little daughter,
Your hands must pick the threads away,
And feel the sunshine never.
Why do the birds sing in the sun,
Mother, mother,
If all day long I run and run,
Run with the wheels forever?
The birds may sing till day is done,
Daughter, little daughter,
But with the- wheels your feet must run—
Run with the wheels forever.
Why do I feel so tired each night,
Mother, mother?
The wheels are always buzzing bright;
Do they grow sleepy never?
Oh, baby thing, so soft and white,
Daughter, little daughter,
The big wheels grind us in their might,
And they will grind forever.
And is the white thread never spun,
Mother, mother?
And is the white cloth never done,
For you and me done never?
Oh yes, our thread will all be spun,
Daughter, little daughter,
When we lie down out in the sun,
And work no more forever.
And when will come that happy day,
Mother, mother?
Oh, shall we laugh and sing and play
Out in the sun forever?
Nay, shadow-child, we'll rest all day,
Daughter, little daughter,
Where green grass grows and roses gay,
There in the sun forever.

Heaven
The piano played its final tune
And strings got torn in two
And the old lady sang her final song
As her grand-daughter cried all way through
It's the end of a chapter
An era in time
The piano lid closes
The old lady shuts her eyes
And drifts to a land far away
The last generation ends
But doesn't go to waste
It's a sad story that happens all the time
Unfortunately......
But one day this old lady will open her eyes, sing again
And the piano will mend it's strings and play again
And her grand-daughter will hear this song
And smile..... instead of cry
She'll smile again.

Daughter like Father
I look at you right into your eyes
Yet you still do not believe me
You belive him!
He's not even your damn blood
I am your daughter...
YOUR DAUGHTER
Yet I am nothing but a liar to you
When I need you the most you throw me away
Like a piece of trash
Like you are ashamed of me
There will be a time in your life
You will need me
You will be on your knees
And I will turn my cheek
Just like you did
The apple does not fall far fromt the tree
Daughter like Father
