Butterflies For Breakfast? (Life Poem)

Butterflies before you sit the final exam,
Butterflies before you go for a job interview,
Butterflies before you ask her out on a date,
Butterflies before you kiss her for the first time,
Butterflies before you propose two will be one,
Butterflies before you meet her family,
Butterflies before you see her all in white,
Butterflies before you make that big speech,
Butterflies before you see that your baby is OK,
Butterflies before you get news from the doctor,
Butterflies before you lose your job again,
Butterflies before you face any little crisis,

But -

No butterflies for breakfast.

The Genesis of the Butterfly

The dawn is smiling on the dew that covers
The tearful roses; lo, the little lovers
That kiss the buds, and all the flutterings
In jasmine bloom, and privet, of white wings,
That go and come, and fly, and peep and hide,
With muffled music, murmured far and wide.
Ah, the Spring time, when we think of all the lays
That dreamy lovers send to dreamy mays,
Of the fond hearts within a billet bound,
Of all the soft silk paper that pens wound,
The messages of love that mortals write
Filled with intoxication of delight,
Written in April and before the May time
Shredded and flown, playthings for the wind's playtime,
We dream that all white butterflies above,
Who seek through clouds or waters souls to love,
And leave their lady mistress in despair,
To flit to flowers, as kinder and more fair,
Are but torn love-letters, that through the skies
Flutter, and float, and change to butterflies

Completing All The Touches

Her pupil shone –
Black stole a peek

Her smile wore sleek
Beneath a knowingness
That I would seek
A slipping down of garments,
Jealous of their role
To hide the jewels that complement,
Completing all the touches.

Fantasy IV

Pounce of nipple
Snatches,
Catches me off guard

Flounce and ripple
Thro' the breasts
Arrests

Landing hard,
I'm flung upon my back
To analyse the ceiling -
No appealing under stress

Now under dress -
Panties gone
And she upon
My countenance -
I rouse to bait
Her feminine way

Lead astray by
Aromatic warming
Of her womanhood,
I tune her body's
Resonance
Thro' eloquence of tongue -

Her shrieking
Highly strung

We up the play

Talons of a Gothic Mind

She of talons, borne from gothic mind-
Steel of blue her chilly stare,
Pitch of black her fetid blood-
Whence there came an evil flare

To terrorise the weeping kind
Befogged in mental mire; to rape
The shore with phallic waves -
And all for lust, her one desire:

Corrupt the sand of innocence
Without a case for penitence,
Or cause for such as reticence -
While coming on her priapismic fire.

Witch

Eyes, rivulets of red that run beneath a canopy
Of green-tinged lashes –
Tear blood playing on the grey-white skin,
Stretched across the twin peaks of cheekbone.

That slender pillar of a neck –
Magnet of eroticism, blinds to
Veins gorging on the flesh,
Dancing under pulse of blood –
Or whatever pumps inside.

Coal-black lips word intentions –
Castigations – variations of the horror
She was born to be.

O the hair! – a flame-orange avalanche
Thundering down to Hell
Where seething mounds of torn bodies lost their souls
To viler wants and fouler holes of
Scatological minds.

And the plunge of lavish breast –
E’er the siren’s weapon! –
Baits the mortal man –
Were he to chance his hand across
The certainty of doom.

But still we go, our weakness on display –
Hers will not a challenge be to see to our decay.

Butterflies

In a fragile vase
In your chamber are
Preserved butterflies
That when touched by
A brilliant sun ray
Turn to mother-of-pearl,
Pieces of iridescent
Evening sky
Or opaline glimmer
Of velvety wings;
There the azure
Daughters of the air,
Mercurial wings
Now fixed forever,
Wings that traversed
Unexplored valleys
That like the desires
Of your enamored soul
Seem, at dawn,
To be revived
When you unlatch
Your windows and sun
Explodes in your eyes
And in crystalline panes.

Is it love or lust

Is it love or lust
I can not say
Is it love or lust
I think of her everyday
She is always there
When i need her most
I love her so dear
That I should not boast
Is it love or lust
Her with her sunshine blonde hair
Is it love or lust
I see her everywhere
I lust for her sweet tender kiss
I await with such delight
One taste would be such bliss
That i take my lips and bite
Is it love or lust
I can not tell
Is it love or lust
With the way my heart swells
It is up to you my dear
To give the answer that is right
My heart is your's to steer
In the direction you want tonight

Young Butterflies

Young butterflies,
Please, let your tender wings grow
Before you try to hit the skies
In an attempt to early fly
When the time is not right!
Scared to Hell you would be
If this dangerous endeavor
You would desperately try
When the time
Doesn't seem to be right!

Take my advice
Young butterflies,
I, the humble gardener
Who in my colorful garden
Have seen many like you
Trying to fly for the first time,
Defying the rules of gravity
When the time is not right!

Young butterflies,
Listen to the echo of the wind
And let Mother Nature
Takes its course!
While happily you welcome
The birth of a new sunrise
That would bring hope
To your tender life!

Young butterflies,
Let your wings grow
Until they are ready to flap
And you would be able to fly
And dance in the skies!
Please, young butterflies,
Listen to my humble advice!
Wishing you luck in your first flight!

The Idler’s Calendar. Twelve Sonnets For The Months. September

FEAST OF ST. PARTRIDGE

The only saint in all our calendar
Is good St. Partridge. 'Tis his feast to--day,
The happiest day of all a happy year,
And heralded as never yet was May.
The dawn has found us marshalled for the fray,
Striding the close--shorn stubbles ranked in line,
With lust of battle and with lust of play
Made glorious drunk as men are drunk with wine.

There go the coveys, forward birds and strong,
Bound for the mangold where they wheel and stop.
Now, steady, men, and bring the left along.
A fortune waits us in each turnip--top.
With a wild shriek, and then a whirr of wings,
The covey rises. Brace and brace they drop,
Joining the dead ranks of forgotten things
In glorious death, the fierce delight of kings.

Amour Jamais

Amour
Jamais
Si cel nest pas pour de vrai
Toujour
Oui mais
Cest trop facile lheure quil est
Jte connais peine
Et dj tu me fais de la peine
Cest un peu trop tôt
Mieux revenir zro
Amour
Qui sait
Combien cet amour va durer
Un jour
Ou des
Eternits cest cque jvoudrais
Quand moi je taime
Peut tre un peu plus que moi-mme
Tu te crois le plus beau
Cest l o tu as tout faux
Amour amour amour jamais
Une seule condition que ce soit jamais
Amour amour amour toujours
Que ça dure jusquau dernier jour
Amour
O.k.
Sans le corps et sans âme cest
Lamour
One way
Ce ne sont que des sens insenss
Quand moi je taime
Peut tre un peu plus que moi-mme
Tu te crois le plus beau
Cest l o tu as tout faux
Amour amour amour jamais
Une seule condition que ce soit jamais

Lust...

Lust destroyed my love
Lust pushed away my one
Lust made me weak
Lust took the one love
Lust killed my happiness
Lust is a sin I committed
Lust, I shouldn't had done
Lust got my suffocating
Lust made light turn into darkness
Lust made me miss my wife
Lust, my innocent girl is hurt
Lust I hurt myself too
Lust I miss my family I built
Lust, you were my biggest mistake....

Miss Tweety

Miss tweety
looking killingly pretty
oh! What a pity!
To think we were colleagues!
Smarter!
But now she says i inspire her!
Miss tweety..
Of course i'm nervous!
like a pimply teenager getting his first kiss
though i'm a second kisser.
Miss tweety!
You and i
oh! You say i'm your inspirer?
Well, my dear missy...
I say you are my immortalizer!
So please make history with my name for the
sake of our lust!
Lust?
Of course lust!
Lust for floating butterflies
lust for sweet smelling flowers
lust for the buzz-buzz of bees
and croak-croak of the frogs
lust for the words
lust for life! ! !
Miss tweety!
Yes!
You!
With two 350watts halogen bulbs sitting a-
top your button nose..
Oh! how tall are you now?
Supercatwalking the streets of america
showing them how the yorubas of naija do it!
Miss tweety! Miss tweety!
Don't say i inspire you!
Because, my love
you inspire me!
Miss tweety...

Butterflies

I would spin for you a blanket
Out of gold and silver threads
I would let my gentle bosom
Be a pillow for your head
Id caress your perfect body
On a rosy bed at night
Play you love songs on a golden harp
And sing you butterflies
In a diamond-studded chalice
On an emerald-plated tray
I would bring to you sweet nectar
And gifts of bright array
I would paint for you a castle
In a blue and yellow sky
Paint you happy ever after
And paint you butterflies
Chorus:
Butterflies, my heart flutters with the notion
I get high on the wings of sweet emotion
Darling i, I just think of you and I get butterflies
I get close to you and I get butterflies
If only I were magic
I would make the wishes true
I would wave a magic wand
And be in paradise with you
But Im just a girl that loves you
I will love you all my life
But I do have a magic feeling
And it gives me butterflies
Chorus:
Butterflies, my heart flutters with the notion
I get high on the wings of sweet emotion
Darling i, I just think of you and I get butterflies
We should fly away together, you and i
Off to paradise forever, I get high
I get close to you and I get butterflies
I think of you and I get butterflies
Fade:
I will spin for you a blanket out of gold and silver threads
If only I were magic, I would make the wishes true
I would wave a magic wand and be in paradise with you

Insomniac Butterflies...

i can't sleep
upon this
Durban Deep,

my eyes are
butterflies
flying out the
window
from the house
of my heart

i am blind

outside the flowers
are captivating
two insomniac
butterflies

winking, the petals
signify
ultimately the breaking
of four wings

i am blinded by the
absence of
my portions

be the flower of my trust
seduce my butterflies
take them
in the sweetness of
your nectar

their proboscis
upon your bosom
in drunken ecstasy

it is only through this
that i will see
the light of morning again.

I blew the dust of his black velvet wings…

He touched me firstly in the sunlight…
I touched him secondly on that moonlit night.
Thirdly; he then touched that red velvet velour.
It was then I'd lost count and we sang, amour…
amour… Amour…!

Like coupled moths we went passionately mad.
It was then I blew the dust of his black velvet wings...
O' then my heart and soul danced pattern-plaid.
In the weft of his dark pale limbs fittings
O' it was then I became his sun burning pleasure.
The moonlight I shivered longing lost to become her.
And then we rolled all day and night long—together.

Butterflies are free

I believe in butterflies

Butterflies are free

Gentle wings

So feathery to touch

So many colours

Able to migrate

To other lands

The gentle butterfly

I believe again

Love, Faith, Truth

Believe no matter what,

you have the power to prevail

Strength, Courage, Honour

Believe the world does have a good heart

Everyone is unique,

in song, dance, culture

Believe in positive thoughts

Time,

The forever, and You

Most of all Butterflies are free, and so are we

Don't be mad, depressed, or suicidal

Believe in a smile, a smile can save a life

Remember Butterflies are free, and so are we

Believe in The magic of the butterfly.

Butterflies Are Free

Dont close your hand
Just close your eyes
And I will stay right by your side
And if this world turns cruel & cold
Look to the skies
Dont you see the truth?
The power of one, the power of two
The power of me loving you
Chorus:
Butterflies are free
Free to come and go
Free to spread their wings
Know that I know
Youll come back to me
Cause love like butterflies are free
You see a light
You hear the call
And if I dont let you fly
I dont know you at all
So go on and roam
See all that you can
Born unto this earth a curious soul
You and you alone
Can make you feel whole
But dont I add truth
Youve never known
Chorus
The tighter the grip
The more youll resist
Its human nature I suppose
But Id rather be surprised by a kiss
Then under your control
Chorus
Free to come and go
Free to spread their wings
Know that I know
Youll come back to me
Cause love like butterflies are free
Chorus
Chorus
Free to come and go
Free to spread their wings
Youll come back to me
Cause love like butterflies are free

Lust For Life (feat. The Pretenders)

Words and music by David Bowie and James Osterberg
(Lust for life x 3)
Here comes Johnny in again
With liquor and drugs
And a flash machine
Hes gonna do another strip tease
Ah, hey man, whered ya get that lotion?
Ive been hurting since I bought the gimmick
About something called love
Yeah, something called love
Well, thats like hypnotising chickens
Im just a modern guy
Huh, of course, Ive had it in the ear before
I have a lust for life
Cause Ive a lust for life
Lust for life (ooh)
Lust for life
Lust for life
Im worth a million in prizes
With my torture film
Drive a GTO
I wear a uniform
On a government loan
Im worth a million in prizes
Yeah, Im through with sleeping on the sidewalk
No more beating my brains
No more beating my brains
With liquor and drugs
With liquor and drugs
Ooh, Im just a modern guy
Huh, of course, Ive had it in the ear before
And Ive a lust for life (lust for life)
Cause Ive a lust for life (lust for life)
A lust for life (ooh)
A lust for life
Lust for life (ooh)
I got a lust for life
Lust for life (ooh)
Ah a lust for life
Lust for life (ooh)
Lust for life
Lust for life
Im just a modern guy
Huh, of course, Ive had it in the ear before
And Ive a lust for life (lust for life)
Cause Ive a lust for life (lust for life)
A lust for life (ooh)
