That poor cat

(This is a true story)

When I saw a dead cat lying on the road, it made me feel bad.
This yellow cat had been killed by a car and it was very sad.
I can imagine how that cat's owner must feel.
They must be hurting because of this ordeal.
My own cat died several weeks ago and I felt misery within.
It's bad when a pet dies because you'll never see it again.

Imagine

(spoken) oohh yeah...dark child...shola ama

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

sometimes i find myself locked in two
secret thoughts hoping they'd come true
sometimes at night i'd feel you lying next to me baby
but these are things that i could never tell you
i can't imagine what you would do
after all you are so far away from me...from me

sometimes it feels just like a fantasy
and i don't know what to do
coz it's always been like a dream to me
to find a love to true
but i know it's only make believe
when i'm picturing me and you
oh one day i know that you'll be
the one that makes my dreams come true

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

there's a feeling so deep inside
telling me we are meant to me
praying that some day you will come for me...for me
but til then i'm just daydreaming
thinking about the way things could be
but it don't matter
coz you're still so far from me...baby

sometimes it feels just like a fantasy
and i don't know what to do
coz it's always been like a dream to me
to find a love to true
but i know it's only make believe
when i'm picturing me and you
oh one day i know that you'll be
the one that makes my dreams come true

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

how can you..be so far from me
how can i...be loving you endlessly
how can we...be so far out of reach
just not the way the way i hoped it would be

imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me

Love Doesn't Kill You (demo)

It doesn't kill you, it's not a one-way ticket to a lonely life
It might break your heart, but the physical risk is low
You might feel so bad that you wanna die
but if you died you would never know
that it didn't kill you
soon you would've felt better
are you happy in heaven?
do you win all the games that they play up there?
do you have a new body?
what kind of wings do you wear?
I haven't felt so bad that I wanted to die
but if I died I would never know
Love doesn't kill you
it's supposed to make you feel better
You're never going to feel any better
once you're dead, you don't get any deader
and you get no lovin' but you feel no pain
never have to lose again
I just wish you could've been a bit bolder
now you're never gonna get any older
and I really do miss you, but how would you know?
Is that the only way to go?
Love doesn't kill you
but you can't run away from the bare inside
you can't just quit right right here
you've gotta let it ride
We've all felt so bad that we wanted to die
but if we died we would never know
Love doesn't kill you
It makes you feel better
you're not ever going to feel any better
once you're dead you don't get any deader
and you get no lovin', but you'll feel no pain
never have to lose again
I just wish you could've been a bit bolder
now you're never going to get any older
and I really do miss you
but how would you know?
It's just too bad that it's too late to let it show

The Hurting

Is it an horrific dream
Am I sinking fast
Could a person be so mean
As to laugh and laugh
On my own
Could you ease my load
Could you see my Pain
Could you please explain
The Hurting

Could you understand a child
When he cries in Pain
Could you give him all he needs
Or do you feel the same
All along
You've been told you're wrong
When you felt it right
And you're left to fight
The Hurting

Get in line with the things you know
Feel the Pain
Feel the sorrow
Touch the hurt and don't let go
Get in line with the things you know
Learn to cry
Like a baby
Then the hurting won't come back

Fairy tale gone wrong?

It began like a fairy tale
A woman and a male
Out of two different cultures
In search for adventures
They truly liked each other
A smile followed another

Where did the fairy tale go wrong
Can you tell me just this one
It has been about six weeks
That I feel misery so strong
that she seems to be gone
that my ship has some leaks

Why did the fairy tale turn false
I know that she truly likes me
The only thought that consoles
but as long as I don’t see
her smiling face again
only pain does remain

Do you remember the old fairy tales
Can you see the story that never fails
To show you that love always wins
Whatever difficulties or hard sins
For us a hard time seems worse enough
Just six weeks do seem much too tough

Where did this fairy tale go bad
Why do the last weeks turn me mad
It’s a story that makes me sad
Only you could make me glad

A Confusing Story

forgetting you makes her
think of jumping out
of the window from
the 10th floor,

she is
so depressed like a
house blown by a tornado,
she thinks she is dying
she can be like her friend
one time
when finally she jumped
out and killed herself in
an instant like a water
melon crushed on the
pavement of the road.

there are 13 women who
died on this county in the
name of men, love, hate,
despair, denial, ambiguities,

she can't be the 14th
of this story,

enough of
these! she like to have a happy
ending,

wait, she is trying to find
an exit

the exit of yes,

and 'they live happily ever
after'

yes. yes. yes.

that is what forgetting
means, she finally lives
happily ever after, and
the man is free and the
other woman dies of
grief.

The man is killed
in her story.

she betrays him too
the author, and even
God.

I Feel The Magic

Last night I gave up on myself
I hit the bed, tell me what should I do
And in a dream I saw your face
Its more than just a face
You make me want to give my heart away
I feel the magic
Like I never felt before
I imagine that its always been there
I feel the magic
Theres an angel looking after me
Angel baby give me more and more
Today I woke up by myself
I hit the streets I wondered what should I do
I never noticed from the start
That I could feel alive again
That I could feel a part of
I feel the magic
Like I never felt before
I imagine that its always been there
I feel the magic
Theres an angel looking after me
Angel baby give me more and more

Strangers

Where are you going I dont mind
Ive killed my world and Ive killed my time
So where do I go what do I see
I see many people coming after me
So where are you going to I dont mind
If I live too long Im afraid Ill die
So I will follow you wherever you go
If your offered hand is still open to me
Strangers on this road we are on
We are not two we are one
So youve been where Ive just come
From the land that brings losers on
So we will share this road we walk
And mind our mouths and beware our talk
till peace we find tell you what Ill do
All the things I own I will share with you
If I feel tomorrow like I feel today
Well take what we want and give the rest away
Strangers on this road we are on
We are not two we are one
Holy man and holy priest
This love of life makes me weak at my knees
And when we get there make your play
cos soon I feel youre gonna carry us away
In a promised lie you made us believe
For many men there is so much grief
And my mind is proud but it aches with rage
And if I live too long Im afraid Ill die
Strangers on this road we are on
We are not two we are one
Strangers on this road we are on
We are not two we are one

Spaced

Spaced in time, child of mine
Doin twenty years on the way
Fire and steel, earth unreal
Find another planet to stay
Papa died, ma survived
Tellin me about her ordeal
And the soul she could not feel
cause they made her so unreal
Lightnin years disappearsne
Twenty million years on my brain
Synthesize, overrides
Tryin to keep from goin insane
And my soul I can not feel
cause they made me so unreal
Spaced enough to know I feel theres nothing out there
Spaced enough to know I feel I really dont care
Spaced enough to feel Im really losin my mind
And Im never ever goin back
I lost the track
No one even knows Im alive
Spaced without a trace
Waitin for the word to arrive
Im the last man to survive

Feel Me

“Feel me to do right,” our father said on his deathbed.
We did not quite know—in fact, not at all—what he meant.
His last whisper was spent as through a slot in a wall.
He left us a key, but how did it fit? “Feel me
to do right.” Did it mean that, though he died, he would be felt
through some aperture, or by some unseen instrument
our dad just then had come to know? So, to do right always,
we need but feel his spirit? Or was it merely his apology
for dying? “Feel that I do right in not trying,
as you insist, to stay on your side. There is the wide
gateway and the splendid tower, and you implore me
to wait here, with the worms!”

Had he defined his terms, and could we discriminate
among his motives, we might have found out how to “do right”
before we died—supposing he felt he suddenly knew
what dying was. “You do wrong because you do not feel
as I do now” was maybe the sense. “Feel me, and emulate
my state, for I am becoming less dense—I am feeling right
for the first time.” And then the vessel burst,
and we were kneeling around an emptiness.

We cannot feel our father now. His power courses through us,
yes, but he—the chest and cheek, the foot and palm,
the mouth of oracle—is calm. And we still seek
his meaning. “Feel me,” he said, and emphasized that word.
Should we have heard it as a plea for a caress—
a constant caress, since flesh to flesh was all that we
could do right if we would bless him?
The dying must feel the pressure of that question—
lying flat, turning cold from brow to heel—the hot
cowards there above protesting their love, and saying,
“What can we do? Are you all right?” While the wall opens
and the blue night pours through. “What can we do?
We want to do what’s right.”

“Lie down with me, and hold me, tight. Touch me. Be
with me. Feel with me. Feel me to do right.”

I Am Hurting

I'm hurting.
And all I am expected to show for it,
Is a stiff upper lip.
And unknown courage.
Only I know exists.

As if I keep a faucet inside.
To decide to turn off and on at will.
Or desert how I feel!
To isolate...
And leave abandoned.
Until it dies.
Or until I smother it to kill.

Like a common well that has dried up,
Either from lack of use...
Or the need of it has gone.
From a contamination,
That has gone on for too long!

I feel diminished.
Finished.
Left to wither and die.
Forgotten for the attempts I've tried!
To keep together...
What has now been brushed aside.
Regardless of an existence,
I showed with pride and caring!
For a relationship shared...
That has slipped away.

I'm hurting!
And I find I am admitting that!
But to whom?
This wound inside that afflicts me,
Is mine.
Not to share.
No one but I know,
The history that is there.

And if I could...
Would the sting of it be transferred?
With the pain that sits on my every nerve?
No!
I know that.
And even if I could...
With tears to deliver,
How and what I feel...
With this depth.
Would still leave me...
The one out of breath.
And out of my mind with this sorrow.

I would not wish this on anyone.
Not to be dismissed in the way I have been!
Not today or anytime.
Not in anyone's tomorrows.

I am hurting!
And it is mine alone.
To comfort or ignore...
Or dare to bare to show exposed.
Since of this no one hears,
Or care to know!
I'm hurting.
And I feel it is not deserved!

Plain Pain

Ask Caser, what true pain is
A tale of true Pain, A story of his
Doubly pain when stabbed by ones’ own
Dying disgusted and disregarded
Merciless, rejoicing even after he is dead
He dies disturbed; souls like his never are free
Dies with the most unfamiliar words “Et tu, Brute
Death that brings merriness to a mob
A life that has been rob
What a pain it must have been
I for one have seen
A far worse scene
Real pain is that pain that is felt fresh
A would that pierces heart
Is fatal that a skinned flesh
Like a broken heart drowning in wine
True pain is either yours or mine

The Broken Road of My Life

I am sitting here,
watching my life go by me.
Faces pass, people come and go.
My life is going down a completely different road.
Down the broken road.
My life has completely fallen apart.
There is no stopping it.
I try to pick up the pieces again and again,
but nothing seems to work.
There is nothing left of my heart.
I don't feel love.
I don't feel happiness.
I feel nothing.
There is no reason for me
to continue to live.
I have nothing more to live for.
Why must people break me down inside,
right to the very core?
I don't feel pain.
I don't feel misery.
I don't feel anything.
Even if people say it will be alright
still I hear myself say,
'I want to end my life! '
But now it is too late to turn back.
I can't stop going down the broken road.
My life means nothing,
it just seems to go zooming by
while my body is left behind.
This is the broken road of my life!

Paranoid

I picked him up-
just released from
mental health treatment-

they'd drugged him
to some nth degree
and I could feel him
looking out the car window
deciphering hospital life
from the outside highway realities.

We pass road kill
and he yelled stop! stop!

I stopped, backed up and he got out
to have a look.

A dead cat, mauled
and bloody.
He got down on the road
and began to weep and cry out.

'What? what? ' I said thinking they had damaged him.

He said 'they killed him.'
'Who? '
'This cat.'
'Who killed him? '
'They did.'
'He was hit by a car, ' I said.

'No, no, ' he said.
He was not hit by a car, he said staring at me.

'They killed him in the bushes
and dragged him up here
to make look like an accident.'

He then looked at my startled face steadily and suddenly
laughed.
'Just a little paranoid joke' he said.

We laughed all the way home.

Misery

Misery
By: Adam M. Snow

Here I am alone in somber;
as I rest calmly here in my chamber.
Suddenly there rose a clatter;
for I hear it calling out to me;
'Who's there that my eyes cannot see? '
I said as the voices replied,
'Misery is me, I am your misery.'

I rose from my slumber;
with haste of morning ember;
to be stopped by an essence of me.
'How can this be? ' I said. 'Truly it can't be me.'
This is too real even for a dream;
truly it cant even be a ream.
'So who are you to be a reflection of me? '
Thus he replied, 'I am your misery.'

He said he is my misery;
if that is the case how can that be?
for I've held this pain in for so long;
that I do not know what went wrong;
for I am also numb,
weary, dreary, and some;
for I know not what would become of me;
if I was to set it free.
For I know now that this will be the end of me;
to be killed by my own misery.

I reach deeply within myself letting loose of my feelings;
as my misery whispered in my ear; he said, 'Your time is near.'
Must this be, for I feel that I'm not ready?
For all the things that I have done, I am truly sorry.
This is truly the end of me;
thus my last words be,
'Misery is me, I am my misery.'

Over And Done With

This is the story of our first teacher
Shetland made her jumpers
And the devil made her features
Threw up her hands when my mum said our names
Embroidered all her stories with slanderous claims
it's over and done with
This is the story of losing my virginity
I held my breath and the fey held a trinity
People I'm making no claims to no mystery
But sometimes it feel like
My sex lifes all history
I'm not saying these events didn't
Touch our lives in any way
But, ah, they didn't make the impression
That some people say
This is the story of watching a man dying
The subjects unpopular
But I don't feel like lying
When I think of it now I acted like a sinner
I just washed my hands
Then I went for my dinner.

Your Letter

I saw a letter lying on the floor
I couldn't help but look inside
Thought it was something that you must've left
Left there for me to find
All your words were on that page
All my dreams came true that day
I found
[chorus:]
Your letter...
Your letter...
It said you loved me
But you didn't know the words to say
It said you never knew that you could ever feel this way
It said you only wish someday that i would feel the same
In your letter
Your letter
I guess it just never occured to me
That you would feel the way i did
You kept the sweetest secret from my heart
You kept those feelings in
Though you never showed a sign
Give a clue to what i'd find
Inside
[chorus]
I was so happy that i almost cried
To think that you would think of me that way
It's like you took my sweetest dream
And made that dream come true
I would be with you
Always...
I saw a name i didn't recognize
I felt the tears come to my eyes
Seeing that the love that you've been longing for
Was another love, not mine
No, you never showed a sign
But it was right there in the lines
Inside
Your letter
Your letter
It said you loved him
But you didn't know the words to say
It said you never knew that you could ever feel this way
It said you only wish someday that he would feel the same
In your letter
Your letter
I saw a letter lying on the floor...

Wildest Dreams

I'm gonna organize some changes in my life
I'm gonna exorcise the demons of my past
I'm gonna take the car and hit the open road
I'm feeling ready to just open up and go
And I just feel I can be anything
That all I might ever wish to be
and fantasize just what I want to be
Make my wildest dreams come true
I'm on my way
Out on my own again
I'm on my way
Out on the road again
When I remember back to how that things just used to be
And I was stuck inside a shroud of misery
I felt I'd disappeared so deep inside myself
I couldn't find a way to break away the hell
When I'm feeling down and low
I vow I'll never be the same again
I just remember what I am
And visualize just what I'm gonna be
I'm on my way
Out on my own again
I'm on my way
Out on the road again
I'm on my way
Out on my own again
I'm on my way
I'm gonna breakaway

When you do all the loving and hurting, too
You cant take it back once you give your heart
Trying not to recall how you did all is the hardest part
And you cant change the reason you feel like a fool
cause you did all the loving and hurting, too
Thats the price you pay for doing more than your share
When you love enough for both of you, no one else has to care
