Stay Germ Free
Bird Flu and Swine Flu can travel our way.
So may cleanliness be the mode of the day...
In the Florence Nightingale way.
'Florence Nightingale'
nurse in the Crimean War
helped British soldiers
by cleaning the hospitals
halving the dreadful death toll.
Although retired, she gave her all
to improve the conditions
in the Nursing Profession,
leaving behind a valuable lesson.
Bird Flu and Swine Flu can travel our way
So may cleanliness be the mode of the day
in the Florence Nightingale way.

The Small Nightingale
Nightingale Nightingale
I am a little bird
Nightingale Nightingale
I am a little bird
Oh! god save me!
Oh! lord save me!
I have tried to save myself but i failed to?
Nightingale Nightingale
I am a sorrowful bird
Nightingale Nightingale
I am a sorrowful bird
Oh! god forget about this;
Listen about the frog
The frog was jealous of me as i sing so well
He wants me to die
Nightingale Nightingale
I am a little bird
BUT, I am a dying bird
BUT, I am a dying bird.
Oh! god save me!
Oh! lord save me!

When shall we see a life full of steady enthusiasm, walking straight to its aim, flying home, as that bird is now, against the wind — with the calmness and the confidence of one who knows the laws of God and can apply them?

Lady With A Lamp Light: Florence Nightingale
Florence Nightingale
laboured in Constantinople;
nursing surgical period
Crimean War casualties;
British soldiers treats
near on two weary legless years.
When weather worn
legendary embarking;
back to homogeneous
homeward climes;
when lady salient
wounds sapper took;
leave scented sanitary
supreme name
fame celebrity known;
prominent was
then heard spoken;
eminent upon lips
linking Anglo egotistic sphere.
Romance image centred
solitary shining light;
glowing beacon blazing
angelic in delirious night;
shimmer linen lamp glow
shrine associations shrive;
mourn most assorted supplanted
absolved patients disease died;
despite loving nurse care tendered
wounds infected could not survive;
in enfilade unhygienic carnage age
of gross medical delinquency.
Within Nightingale vaulted view
her fairy-tale towering room;
is lady carrion corpuscle defiant
haunted swept by spectre's broom;
within Crimean War Cemetery
lies legendary lamp tendered;
statistics stone bone testament
memory fried alive consecrated;
within matronly heart saintly
balm in experiences rendered ugly;
unlike image engraven times
of usurp convulsive urbane.

World Nurses’ Day,2010
Let love of money never interfere
With sacrificial service for mankind,
In times of ailments, distress, agony,
In noble profession on earth – Nursing.
Let duty to the suffering patients stay
Paramount all life, mitigating pain;
Let selflessness prevail in loving care
Of brethren moribund, in throes of death.
Let love of profession afill the hearts
Those follow Florence Nightingale’s footsteps;
Let God reward thee amply for thy work
In saving lives and curing diseases.
May thy noble profession remain so!
Let ethics not be ignored any day;
Let loving care of human beings make
The earth a paradise to some extent!
‘May God bless all nurses on this most wonderful Day! ’

Mysticism: to dwell on the unseen, to withdraw ourselves from the things of sense into communion with God — to endeavour to partake of the Divine nature; that is, of Holiness. When we ask ourselves only what is right, or what is the will of God (the same question), then we may truly be said to live in His light.
