Starlight in my Tresses
*
They would appear it was close to the hour,
I waited holding my breath.
Millions I see the waves upon the sea,
To unfurl the view ahead.
The playful wind thumped on my shoulder,
Under their freezing touch I shivered.
They Came, stars in herds;
Showers of silver, descending on the water.
I step into the water, in
My tiny hands to gather, silver dust
Sticking all over my dress as
I return with starlight in my tresses.

Just to see your smile
Just to see your smile
Just to see your smile
The stars gather in the sky
And to feel your touch
The wind passes by
Just to see your smile
The waves hit the shores
And the sun wakes up so early
To see you offcourse
Just to see your smile
Fragrance comes into flowers
And to touch your hair
Water pours down in showers
Just to see your smile
The moon follows you everywhere
There’s someone else too who
Often follows you, if you care
Just to see your smile
I can bring down the stars
And decorate your way
With beautiful flowers
Just to see your smile
I have waited for years
Leading a life that was
Sunken deep in tears
Just to see your smile
I can give away
Everything I have
Without any dismay
Just to see your smile
Gives me happiness without measure
I wish I could see it
On your face forever
Just to see your smile
I thank God for these eyes
In five feet four inches
My whole world lies

Millions of water drops
drops of water
millions of drops
Falling down the rocks
Millions of water drops
Glittering in the sun
Shining like pearls
Millions of water drops
Ending as a river
Finding way to ocean
Millions of water drops
Creating childrens happiness
Laughter and joyfullness
Millions of water drops
Soon will tide reach
White long shores
Millions of water drops
Animating Waves
into forming caves
Millions of water drops
splittering from above
till reaching top of the hill
Millions of water drops
Without them no sound
No whispers of the living
Millions of water drops
Watch the clearness
From crest to earth
Millions of water drops
For tribe’s best
Beware of waste
Millions of water drops
Treasured should they be
As belonging to all humanity

Stars On The Water
By: rodney crowell
1981
Down in louisiana, bayous by and by
Pirogue pole or your natural soul
Keeps you tied to a tree high tide
Beer joint lights come on
And then the crowd starts rollin in
Chorus:
Pretty soon you got stars on the water
You got stars on the water
Its like stars on the water, let it rain
Beaumont to biloxi
Sea breeze at your door
Gypsy rains, dang hurricanes
White silver sandy shore
Blue light lounge is shinin
Way out on the view
Chorus:
It looks just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water, let it rain
(guitar instrumental)
When its midnight down in mobile
Moonbeams on the bay
They come from miles around to dance the jukebox down
And dig the good time sounds they play
All across the harbour
Night lights shinin in
Chorus:
It looks just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water
Just like stars on the water, let it rain
Chorus:
Pretty soon ya got stars on the water
You got stars on the water
Its like stars on the water, let it rain

Silver
There are clouds that hang
silver-grey in the air,
before the winter sun
gives its first rays
of a drawling day.
Silver-grey the Monday starts
and while the day’s hours
pass much to slowly,
I am summoned to the old chief
with his silver-grey hair.
One of the women clerks
who wants to be boss,
wants to push a silver knife
into a colleges back.
I leave them alone to count their silver pounds
and wash my hands in the bathroom,
with a silver ray of water that squirts out of the tap.

Silver Blue
I got to get a message through, I dont know where were going. I wrap my arms around your naked shoulders, take cover for the night. I see you in the morning rain, oh step inside and lay beside
Tender can you close my eyes and blind me, oh give me just a smile...
Before I fade to silver, silver blue for you. before I fade to silver, silver blue for you.
Ive turned into the broken one who lost the inspiration. I want to give you all my love like water to a blood red rose. the passion - I cant deal with her. the pain - well, I can do without hi
D this is like the milky way, an ocean that only grows and grows.
And babe I fade to silver, silver blue for you. I turn and fade to silver, silver blue for you.
I wrap my arms around your naked shoulders, take cover for the night.

Silver Water
Your mum,
How many
Silver statues
She slept with,
Intoxicated,
To replace your saliva
With silver water!
Always to the left,
Behind the first
Fold of rose,
There is a silver shine.
As though gods
And the gathering of conjurors
Bewitched,
Till numbing,
Whenever your half wetted
Smile,
With drops of silver water,
Radiates.

Silver
Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep
Of doves in silver feathered sleep
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

The Lonely Silver Rain
Watching waves wash up the beach and washing out again
The water shining scarlet as another day begins
Gazing past the droplets falling on my window pane
On the tan and sandy silence of the lonely silver rain
My house and mind are wallowing in states of disarray
Nothing is for certain except you’ve gone away
Wash my hands obsessively but can’t remove the stain
In the tan and sandy silence of the lonely silver rain
Morning fog is crawling like a curse upon the water
Want to scream into the sky but can’t begin to bother
Old friends, like the darkness, never ask me to explain
To the tan and sandy silence of the lonely silver rain

Dust In The Wind
Music : Kerry Livgren
Lyrics: Kerry Livgren
I close my eyes
Only for a moment and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Now, Don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

The Man Parts the Water
The man parts the water with a simple stone,
turning when the laughter
of a child retraces the shattered waves.
The man remembers with a smile
the days when he walked the shore,
dancing with silver-eyed seagulls, and he
was always looking ahead as he
stands and tilts releasing stone,
watching it sail through the misty shore.
The child parts the water with shrieking laughter,
and dreams about the day he will knowingly smile
as his cocked man-hand reaches the stormy waves.
Watching the moon pull the scornful waves
that kick the sand onto the shore, now he’s
the ghost of a child that stands with a smile.
He parts the water with a simple stone,
listening to the moon’s blue shaken laughter
at a man awaiting his golden hour upon the murky shore.
The grains whisper into the wind. And the shore
is crowded with memories of waves,
filling a young boy’s face with laughter.
It permeates the darkness, yet he
still craves the stone
to bring the man’s euphoric smile.
Caught in a moment without laughter or smiles,
walking along the shore
he wishes upon a simple stone
for another chance to play and frolic in waves.
The child sees his reflection with an anxious smile, and he
becomes a man between the laughter.
And he will always remember the laughter,
and he will always long for an innocent smile
of waiting for the day that unknowingly he
could never return to the shore.
Churning as it breaks the waves,
the past is left in simple stone.
But for now there is laughter upon the shore,
riding along the whispering waves,
the child’s future still a simple stone.

Silver Tear Drop, Crying
Moonlight shatters
The crystals disperse
Flakes of winter
Fright's curse
Grey clouds of nowhere
Silver world awakes
To the silver sun beams
To the silver birds of song
Silver world awakes not to pleasure
Not to rhyme
Silver world awakes to sorrow
To the silver tear drop, crying
And with every tear the color fades
And more silver becomes the day
Spindling more silver
The silver devils play
And in my castle I hear the cry
The sharp shrieks of broken delight
The blinding light
The shivering fright
And in my castle I hear the wind
That humbles the calls
That corrodes my walls
The silver hissing wind
Driving nails into my coffin
The silver hissing wind
A dead heart will never soften
Meaningless are my dreams
Evanescent dreams
Grey clouds
Silver world
Faded clockwork, clicks
The hour passes, the hand ticks
And I awake into my dreams
Decadent reality, bursting seams
The clock now stops and forever so
Till I return but I shall not go

Leaping Salmon
I will not dream another's sweet musings
when the truth is only partly known
the fruit is so sweet but of another knowledge
but face my own full on
naked in the darkness
and recognise that which has never been shown before
and dream it as my own
I will not share you with another
I cannot
for their knowledge would lack the spice of experience
I am the silver salmon driving out of the peat black water into the
daylight
Rising rising
timeless and heavy
Falling backwards into the darkness
I am inside you rising up through the water feeling the water rush past
my
flanks
light flickers above
Searching for the head waters
They are there. I smell them
Peatiness all round
I hold your flanks
Pass my hands to your front, beneath your gills
fingers just apart
sensing your power running past my fingers
Silver water running through my fingers
Pass my hands down your sides
Sense the water passing over my skin
Surges rising up
geysers of water silver spume
The salmon rises
My beautiful salmon, you rise and explode gasping in the electric air
showers of jewels tremble in the sunlight
the sound of a thousand water falls
The pinky darkness of your open mouth
catching the irresdecent droplets
Your flanks tremble in the sun
and fall
back into the enveloping water
bubbles rise
Dark fish sinks into the velvet darkness
Still Still Swish Still
Held like a chalice

Tiny Drop
Waste of Tiny, Tiny Water Drops.
Always Trigger my Conscious Thoughts.
A Tiny Water Drop can make a Sapling Laugh
Tiny, Tiny water Drops can get you sweet Pod.
Tiny, Tiny Water Drops can make a Plant to Stand
As a Tree, This can give Shelter to a Lot.
Because of Waste of Tiny, Tiny water Drops
Many lives have become short.
So try to save even tiny water Drop, Which will
Get you Heartily Laugh.

Silver And Gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Ev'ryone wishes for silver and gold
How do you measure its worth?
Just by the pleasure it gives here on earth.
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Mean so much more when I see
Silver and gold decorations
On ev'ry Christmas tree.
Silver, silver and gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Wise men brought gifts to the mange I'm told
Mary was humble to see
Shepherds and kings there on bended knees
It's silver and gold, silver and gold
Feeling the world with their lives
Silver and gold how they shimmer on ev'ry Christmas night
On ev'ry Christmas night
Silver, silver and gold

Broken Water
As I stand out gazing at the fantasical landscape before me,
I see the waterfalls breaking water and throwing it around amoung
the glittering, curling plants as they drink the sparkling silver water.
It was breathtaking.
More beautiful than the sunset over pure salt water.
I wanted to touch it.
I wanted to pick the flowers glowing with life and bathein the broken water. Clence my hair under the fall
and air-dry on the faces
of the midnight boulders.
The stones would be cold,
the water would be slippery and stain my skin,
and the flowers would smell as if dipped in summer.
I was going to touch it.
I stepped towards the oasis.
My paradise disappeared out of my reach. Out of Man's reach.
I was left alone. Happiness was no longer in front of me.
My head was spinning.
I was so close to an ecstacy,
but I had ruined it all through my greed.

The One With A Silver Thorn (By Mimi C Mata)
With insubordinate step;
You go looking onward
across your pastures...
Where restless roses
lay their heads.
You see that she is no other
than the rose
with a silver thorn.
You know the one
that frightens you,
when you wish to gather
her magnificence
in your hands...
velvet petals; trembling
rolling off to shiver
in other distances...
Submerging her fragrant fragments
in one of the cold lakes
that drown her merciless dreams
for a voice.
You ponder:
and have lost the peripheral
vision in dire quest
for another soul to touch...
And you ask,
Have I fallen in love
with the one with a silver thorn?
And suddenly your darkness pauses
As all the stars shut their eyes...
Every so often blinking
in thoughtful precaution
for the blinded steps that you make,
Towards the one with a silver thorn...
They are silent
they have no answer
they do not know
they do not understand...
Forget their gestures
of leaving you...
For a single thought
twilights a profound desire
for the drowning muddled fate
that beckons...
She awaits;
the one with the silver thorn...
'Forget about the blood sacrificed
for her soul has already died'...
The stars say...
So you jump with unsteady feet
into the mysterious cold lake
to save the one whose stem
your heart wishes to clench...
The one with the silver thorn
Suddenly your darkness pauses
and all the stars shut their eyes
no longer blinking...
They have left you,
They are silent
they have no answer
they do not know
they do not understand...
How your heart wishes to clench
with desire with love
the stem of the one...
With the silver thorn.
The Fairy Clock
Silver clock! O silver clock! tell to me the time o' day!
Is there yet a little hour left for us to work and play?
Tell me when the sun will set--tiny globe of silver-grey.
It has been so glad a world since the coming of the morn,
Oft I wondered when I met any souls who seemed forlorn--
And I scarce gave heed to those who were old or travel worn.
Mayhap I have loved too well the merry fleeting things;
Run too lightly with the wind--chased too many shining wings;
Thought too seldom of the night, and the silence that it brings.
Well I fear me I have been but an idler in the sun--
All unfinished are the tasks long and long ago begun--
In the dark perchance they weep, who have left their work undone.
And I know each black-frocked friar preacheth sermons that, alas!
Fain would halt the dancing feet of those careless ones who pass
Down a sweet and primrose path, through the ribbons of the grass.
Silver-clock! O Silver-clock! It was only yesterday
Dandelions flecked the field, starry bright, and gold and gay;
You are but the ghost of one--little globe of silver-grey!
Tell me--tell me of the hour--for there is so much to do!
Is it early? Is it late? Fairy clock! 0 tell me true,
As I blow you down the wind, out upon a road of blue.
