Sport (Alliteration)

: Sport (Alliteration) 075

Can you canoe white waters in just a bucket?
Slam-dunk that Punk for stealing a car?
Watch Soccer aces pop your money in his pocket.
Or petite, pretty perky little Jockeys riding far.
Ten tennis stars can have their cake and eat it.
Chess masters checked from mating much this year.
Simple sailors asking weather weathers very clement.
A runner bean`s a runner from a standing start.
I notice now the notice board too bored to notice.
Now TV covers sport., Sport covers TV now.

The Sport I Love

Like any other sports
this is the one I choose,
I love, and I have been playing.
the sport I want to be belong.
That is soccer.! ! !

Playing this game
have been giving me an event
that is hard to forget.
It is exciting right! ! !

And therefore
I do not know how
could I leave this sport.

Of which is this sport
help me to build my stamina,
meet a lot of friends, and
also this sport taught me
how to act as a human being,

in order to have a discipline
not only in this sport
but also in the community
as well as in a situation.

It help a lot in me right! ? ,
therefore i must not have to forget
as well as to leave this sport
but to love this sport forever..

I love soccer.! .

I'm sorry, I didn't notice

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When this started to happen
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
I just let it begin

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The change in anythin'
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When we stopped talkin'

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
We weren't letting each other in
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
That sad, sad trend

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The beginning of the end
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
You were no longer my friend

But believe me, now I notice
And it hurts deep within
Now that I notice
I hope you'll be again

I've Come to Notice More Now

I've come to notice more now,
The falling snow.
I've come to notice more now,
A certain purpose...
I had disavowed.
I've come to notice more now,
The core of my being with more meaning.
A joy I can express...
With less emphasis on things collected.
And a happiness I always had,
But somehow did not allow.
I've come to notice more now,
I can.
I've come to notice more now,
I will!
I've come to notice more now,
My needs are basically fulfilled.
Without desire to seek approval,
Sought to identify my peace of mind!
I've come to notice more now,
Thoughts like that I have left behind.
And notice, I do...
My blessings!

Meaning of Soccer

Soccer is a sport of heart, joy, skills, and Honor. Many people play it for money and don’t really
Care about the sport. A true professional soccer player plays for what’s in the front, NOT the
Back. If the team that’s in the front goes big and then you’ll go big with them. Play this beautiful
Sport for fun and enjoy. Many youngsters look up to big names stars like Cristiano Ronaldo,
Kaka, David Beckham, Pele, and many names. Guess what my friends they practiced so they
Could get where they are now, INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTRS! You want to get there just
Practice hard and in games try harder then what you practiced.

You will never have great tennis champions from England because of the cold and dark, but most of all because people only care about the sport for two weeks a year, and then they're on to something else. There's just not a great love of the sport there.

R.D. Laing

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.

You 'Have' To Notice It

Lets...
Discuss,
Racism.
And how it affects you daily.

'It doesn't.'

Comeon.
You have to notice it?

'I do.'

So...
You are affected.

'No.
I am not.'

Of course you are.
You are obviously black.
A black man.

'And? '

If I were black I would notice that.
Everywhere I would notice it.
Everywhere I went...
It would be on my mind.
In my consciousness.
I'd be full of resentment.
I wouldn't be able to sleep,
Knowing I stood out amongst all people.
I would feel insecure.
Emotionally tormented inside,
With wishes to be white.
I would be...

Are you done?

'Yes.
But I just wanted you to know,
How I would feel...
IF I were a black man.'

Sorry to disappoint you.
Perhaps my commitment,
To having an identity with purpose first...
Has not prioritized my being black.
As much as you have.
Are you hoping one day I will feel inferiror?

'You don't? '

By what or who?

'Those who feel they are better than you.'

I don't fantasize.
But I realize there are many who do.
And I notice them everywhere I go.
You have to notice it too?

'I don't.'

Sport attracts sponsorship. Fine.

Sicker Soccer

The £10,000 a week defender can’t quite
catch the £20,000 striker who's got
the ball at his nimble, expensive feet, the stadium yelling
fit to raise the roof – what does he do? why,
he pulls the striker’s shirt, of course…; the ref, the commentators
remain silent. We, we were told off at nursery classes,
for pulling little Johnny’s shirt… I mean, for Pele’s sake,
what is this about? ! ..

then at the end of the game (one side’s got to win,
you’d think the fans are like they used to be,
paid good money to watch a good match)
the managers spit out their gum, pat each other on the back
whilst walking away, and not looking each other in the eye…
none of that love of the game stuff, the sparkling eyes
of those who love their sport, shaking hands
with a worthy opponent…ha…

and as for cricket – ‘sledging’ – can you believe it?
making sneery remarks to the batsmen while you stand in close…
never happened when sport was something you
enjoyed, loved to do, enjoyed the challenge and the company…
‘oh it’s all in good fun’… yeah?

tennis, being one-on-one, ain’t so bad; psych yourself up
but put the venom in your shots; but then,
when the match ends, run up to the net (or so they
used to) , eyes meet, shake hands, a few words? not
so often – shake hands without making
eye-contact, off to thank the umpire who's
up there out of reach…

it’s like some sorta natural law: when sport is a game
like life, the game’s the thing, and well-played, sir; pay
your ‘sportsmen’, your mercenaries, in the name
of ‘popular entertainment’ and big business, and
something disappears, as revenues increase;
how long before poetry becomes
a ‘spectator sport’ with a World Slam League out there
and TV rights?

Im A Road Runner

Written by holland, dozier, and holland.
Money, who needs it
Let me live my life free and easy
Put a toothbrush in my hand
And let me be a travellin man
Cause Im a road runner baby
Im a road runner baby
Cant stay in one place too long
Im a road runner baby
One look at me and Ill be gone
Well you can love me if you wanna
But I do declare
When I get restless, Ive got to move somewhere
Cause Im a road runner baby
Anywhere is my home
And I love the life I live
And Im gonna live the life I love
A road runner baby
Dont want no woman
To tie me down
Got to be free baby
To roam around
All my life Ive been like this
And if you love me its your own risk
Cause when the dust hits my shoes
Ive got the urge to move
Yes Im a road runner baby
Got to keep movin on
Hey, and I live the life I love
And I love the life I live
Im a road runner baby
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...
Dont want no woman
To tie me down
Got to be free baby
To roam around
All my life Ive been like this
And if you love me its your own risk
Cause when the dust hits my shoes
Ive got the urge to move
Yes Im a road runner baby
Got to keep movin on
Hey, and I live the life I love
And I love the life I live
Im a road runner baby
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...
Road, road runner...

How They Do That! And, Survive

I've begun to notice those same people,
Were standing on this corner yesterday.
And now they are on that corner.
What's going on?

'Neither one of us are doing too much,
If I agree we both notice...
People with nothing to do,
But move from one side of the street...
To the other.'

Yeah?
But there is a difference.

'And what is that?
We both still have our jobs.'

You're right.
We complain everyday about the same routine.
To do nothing else,
But notice the same people do nothing...
As you put it.

'Like I said.
There is a difference.
We are getting paid to do nothing.'

And very soon,
Guess what?

'What? '

We might, one day...
Be asking them how they do that!
And, survive.

So Any Team As Such

Though Brazil has the class and Brazil has the flair
Who wins the F I F A World cup i can't say i much care
'Tis more about Nationalism than 'tis about sport
So any team as such i do not support.

The top soccer players are paid millions a year
And stories of their greatness we are obliged to hear
Millions in money for just chasing a ball
It hardly does seem for to make sense at all.

When people are homeless and dying of hunger every day
Yet many spend their savings watching millionaires play
For selves, Nation and glory in the World's biggest game
Many find satisfaction in other people's fame.

If the money they spent on creating millionaires
And making small gods of renowned soccer players
Was spent on the people of assistance in need
To a better life for millions that surely would lead.

Brazil has the class and Brazil has the skill
But millions go hungry in poor old Brazil
And 'tis more about Nationalism than 'tis about sport
So any team as such i do not support
