Somebody ' Fictitious
Poetic Form: Envelope Couplet
Somebody set my heart afire,
Somebody filled me with desire.
I cannot speak his name today
It's a secret ~ hidden away!
Someone took me higher and higher
Somebody set my heart afire.
Somebody set my heart afire;
A handsome man, I still admire.
Once he asked me to 'name the day'
I couldn't. What would husband say?
'Twould be treachery, love for hire.
Somebody set my heart afire.
Somebody set my heart afire,
and I was sinking into the mire,
Mad about him ~ I told him so,
But this was many years ago.
Since then I've walked along barbed wire.
Somebody set my heart afire.

Your Company
The iron in the flush burning fire,
A gleam and glow does acquire;
Fully transforms and is afire,
Losing its dense solid attire.
If you ‘re caught in the nasty mire,
Of the low and mean whom none can admire;
In life, to step higher you cannot desire,
And to ascend to lofty echelons you can't aspire.
Let us ever be in the company of gentle nobility,
Who will haul us with them to high dignity;
Raising us to tall standards of versatility,
And to higher echelons of respectability.

Valentines Day Is Around The Corner
Valentines Day is around the corner
for the romantic inclined
with cards, chocolates and flowers
to set the heart afire.
Notes to say I love you
filled with desire
and kisses by the score.
Who could ask for more,
except to have their true love
at their side everyday?
So to all those romantics
and I know quite a few
A Happy Valentines Day
and may your shelf be filled with cards
signed I love you
from you know who.

Put Out My Eyes
Put out my eyes, and I can see you still,
Slam my ears to, and I can hear you yet;
And without any feet can go to you;
And tongueless, I can conjure you at will.
Break off my arms, I shall take hold of you
And grasp you with my heart as with a hand;
Arrest my heart, my brain will beat as true;
And if you set this brain of mine afire,
Then on my blood-stream I yet will carry you.

Hungry Like The Wolf
Down in the city, night is alive
Steam in the subway, earth is afire
Do do do do do do
Woman you want me, give me a sign
You check my breathing
Im just a moment behind
Do do do do do do
In touch with the ground
Im on the hunt Im after you
Smell like I sound
Lost and Im found
And Im hungry like a wolf
Night is a live earth is afire
Im on the hunt Im after you
Smell like I sound lost and Im found
And Im hungry like a wolf

At The Age Of 35
Gone are the aching want, the unceasing fret,
Mad flight and moaning over battered wings,
And self-contempt whose secret penance wrings
Out of the writhing soul her bloody sweat.
But use has never taught me to forget
The glory that the common daylight flings;
Still in my heart the rebel tocsin rings,
And still is love my glowing amulet.
Calm and contented, yet with heart afire
To fight for ever for the sake of strife,
I hold the future and the past in fee.
The time to come brings riper fruit for me
Who stretch my hands with passionate desire
And welcome for the green and grey of life.

Jim
(verse):
Why am I sitting alone tonight,
When I could be out where the lights are bright?
Its all because of jim, its all because of jim.
Why am I wasting these precios years?
Why am I crying these bitter tears?
Its all because of jim, its all because of jim.
(chorus):
Jim doesnt ever bring me pretty flowers,
Jim never tries to cheer my lonely hours,
Dont know why Im so crazy for jim.
Jim never tells me Im his hearts desire.
I never seem to set his love afire
Gone are the years Ive wasted on him.
Sometimes when I get feeling low,
I say lets call it quits.
Then I hang on and let him go
Breaking my heart in bits.
Some day I know tht jim will up and leave me,
But even if he does you can believe me,
Ill go on carrying the torch for jim.

Firehouse
Whoo, hoo, yeah
Whoo, hoo, yeah
Shell adore you and shell floor you
With her wisdom and her vision
And youll love it and think of it
Till you lose all intuition
Come on
She can move you and improve you
With her love and her devotion
And shell thrill you and shell chill you
But youre headed for commotion
And youll need her so youll feed her
With your endless dedication
And the quicker you get sicker
Shell remove your medication
Get the firehouse
cause she sets my soul afire
Get the firehouse
And the flames keep gettin higher
Shes like bad weather but it seems so good
Youd never leave her but you know you should
Shes like bad weather but it seems so good
Youd never leave her but you know you should
Ooh
Get the firehouse
cause she sets my soul afire
Get the firehouse
Whoo, hoo, yeah
Get the firehouse
Whoo, hoo, yeah

Well Done O Cruel Well Done - Original By Rabindranath Tagore
Well done O Cruel well done
Burn my heart please do burn
If I don't burn my incense
It doesn't emit fragrance
If I don't lit up my lamp
It gives no light in my camp
Well done O Cruel well done
Burn my heart please do burn
When I don't miss you so much
And life is so hard
Then your harmful touch becomes
Your sweetest reward
In fascination and shame
I can't see you so hard game
Please set afire my darkness
By thunderbolts of sadness
Well done O Cruel well done
Burn my heart please do burn

Sonnet: My Heart Afire
There is a fire burning in my heart!
The world had sparked this flame incessantly;
I burn the midnight-oil well on my part,
And so the flame keeps rising endlessly.
The world unfair had set my heart afire;
I feel, it can’t be extinguished with ease;
And with it burn, my emotions, desire;
From time to time, it gives me mental peace.
In short a time, the flame has grown so tall!
Its brightness looks uniquely wonderful;
No water can put out the fire or stall;
Like forest-fire, it burns night-day awfully.
This fire I download in poetic style;
And already, it looks almost a file!

VA Pour Vapour
If one lover I lose
two replace as hot wire,
though vow, promise I use
to divert, set pace higher,
perjure, promise recuse,
soon in Time’s wind expire.
When a fair face I see
I feel sudden afire,
but for life lock love’s key
ain’t my style spite my lyre.
Constant court paid, for me,
is not goal I require
More flighty than moon, -
free range change I admire, -
blond, brunette, free to spoon.
Constant cravings soon tire:
both brunette, blond too soon
senses sap, jade desire.

Supernova
I have looked all over the place
But you have got my favorite face
Your eyelashes sparkle like gilded grass
And your lips are sweet and slippery like a cherubs bare wet ass
Cause youre a human supernova
A solar superman
Youre and angel with wings afire
A flying, giant friction blast
You walk in clouds of glitter and the sun reflects your eyes
And every time the wind blows I can smell you in the skies
Your kisses are as wicked as an m-16
And you come like a volcano, and youre everything to me
Cause youre a human supernova
A solar superman
Youre an angel with wings afire
A flying, giant friction blast....

Bible Stories: Job (Chapter XXXXI)
They stand before him all helpless;
They wish to see him overthrown;
Aroused, he turns so relentless;
None who assailed him, came to town.
Need I mention his limb’s great strength?
The fitness of his armor worn!
His outer garment’s extra length;
His double corselet, when he’s born.
What teeth of sharpness, his mouth guard!
Who can open his mouth agape?
How closely fitted back-scales hard!
Caught by his jaws, none can escape.
He sneezes fire through his nares;
His eyes are fiery too like dawn;
From mouth leap forth sparks of fires;
Steam seething from nostrils gets born.
His breath can set all coals afire;
His neck has strength that’s terrible;
His stony heart can ne’er retire;
Atop the sea, he’s horrible!
No sword can cause him injury,
Nor can the spear or weapons all;
None can stop him when in fury;
What reinforced an armored wall!
To him, iron appears like straw,
And bronze is akin rotten wood;
No arrow hurts or gives him awe;
Clubs seem like splinters, almost food!
With belly sharp like pottery,
He sloshes through the swamp and mire;
He is a living battery!
The sea depths boil as if afire!
He churns the sea so violently;
A shiny path, he leaves behind;
He’s King of beasts eminently-
The scariest on earth in kind!

Virtue And The Beast
To run, we could from threats besetting us
But naught we do for demons from within
Their obstacles laid on the paths we pass
Dictate the rise and fall our lives contain
Virtue does to a woman bind desire
When dreams of wayward thrills it would suppress
As though alarm when hearts are set afire
It screams out loud should she unzips her dress
Monsters and ghouls are far removed in woods
If there be what the heart so truly dreads
In man is beast lurking in murky moods
Knows many arms and sleeps in many beds.
