Sita - 2

Sita
stumbling with the stones of forest
reached the cottage of
Maharshi Balmiki
the great sage gave her shelter
to stay in the cottage
Sita spend her days and nights
with the tribals
in the memory of her beloved husband
gave birth of two sons
Lav and Kush
both sons were brought up with tribals
acquired the knowledge and
to sing the Ramayana
one day both sons reached
the palace of his father
begging and singing on Ramayana
a long story is hidden in between
when Sita met her beloved husband
she prayed the mother earth
to immerse her
on her heart
it was the end of Sita
the ideal indian lady
who vowed only for her beloved Rama
an ideal to the people of the earth also.

Her whole world was limited
to her two sons
the most obedient to her husband
to the people of state Ayodhyay
capable to cross the fire - examination
to show her tranquility
after return from Lanka
to show the people her purity
for the sake of people of Ayodhyaya
the brave and intelligent lady
in the history of the world
who always honoured the society
being worshipped by the Indian
for her sacrifice to the society
and the people of his country

but i could not stop my tears
while imaging Sita
my eyes burst into tears.

Chappals

Missed was one out of the pair
And quite unaware was my husband
And I noticed and told him
As I am like Sita of Rama
Whose padukas are ever sacred and pristine
That Bharata even coronated them
That I could so sense the misfitted foot
That I could so sense its unholiness
Of today's youthful pairs
Mounted with dust and grime in sundry mounds
And one such somehow escaped
Possibly at a wedding function
To dirty my husband's one foot
But my chaste love got him a new pair
Which goes on emitting my shining love
Strong like Rama's padukas
Strong like Sita's imprinted feet
Wider- found stony in this country
That every heart is pleased about

Bibhishan's Warning

Twenty warriors armed and girded in the Council Hall arose,
Thirsting for a war of vengeance, hurling challenge on the foes,

But Bibhishan deep in wisdom-Ravan's youngest brother he,-
Spake the word of solemn warning, for his eye could farthest see:

'Pardon, king and honoured elder, if Bibhishan lifts his voice
'Gainst the wishes of the warriors and the monarch's fatal choice,

Firm in faith and strong in forces Rama comes with conqu'ring might,
Vain against a righteous warrior would unrighteous Ravan fight!

Think him not a common Vanar who transpassed the ocean wave,
Wrecked thy city tower and temple and a sign and warning gave,

Think him not a common hermit who Ayodhya ruled of yore,
Crossing India's streams and mountains, thunders now on Lanka's shore!

What dark deed of crime or folly hath the righteous Rama done,
That you stole his faithful consort unprotected and alone,

What offence or nameless insult hath the saintly Sita given,
She who chained in Lanka's prison pleads in piteous tear to Heaven?

Take my counsel, king and elder, Sita to her lord restore,
Wipe this deed of wrong and outrage, Rama's righteous grace implore,

Take my counsel, Raksha monarch, vain against him is thy might,
Doubly arméd is the hero,-he who battles for the right!

Render Sita to her Rama ere with vengeance swift and dire,
He despoils our peopled Lanka with his bow and brand and fire,

Render wife unto her husband ere in battle's dread array,
Rama swoops upon thy empire like a falcon on its prey,

Render to the lord his consort ere with blood of Rakshas slain,
Rama soaks the land of Lanka to the margin of the main!

Listen to my friendly counsel,-though it be I stand alone,-
Faithful friend but fiery foeman is this Dasa-ratha's son,

Listen to my voice of warning,-Rama's shafts are true and keen,
Flaming like the with'ring sunbeams on the summer's parchéd green,

Listen to my soft entreaty,-righteousness becomes the brave,
Cherish peace and cherish virtue and thy sons and daughters save!'

Supplication To Rama

In the panoptic yard of my heart's aroma
Deep seated Thee o' Rama
Coronated and with crowned Sita
Past afforested treads of Thy life's data

My heart is sanguine, sunny and unfilthy
As Thy pristine persona is hearty
Ploughing my thoughts a nitty-gritty
Thy bio of Thy Ikshvaku dynasty

All well known of Thou radiance
The hub of cosmos Thy resplendence
Thou wedlock to Sita by ritual relevence
Thou woodland days of perseverance

Also of Thou oceanic valorous conquest
Vanquishing Ravana of southmost
Retrieving Sita, a notable feat
Back to throne endlessly at Thou behest..

Well, safe back in providence
Thee shouldst essay, prove evidence
Unanswered for we by coiled aeons in silence
About Vali killed why in concealed indulgence

Also about Sita much why calumniated
Out of fire much even after was she unscathed
Again to be slandered and expelled
Pregnant with woes, sorrows this day Thee kidded

Thou human- incarnate shouldst answer
Appease Sita in my heart's chamber
About Vali too to me his murder
Before blocked my heart's door
Of Thou infame and dishonour

Love is not rational

The loved one does not love me back;
The loving one does not get my love.
Who you love and who loves you
Aren’t one and the same person.
I’m dear to my mother and
My daughter is dear to me.
Mandothari loved Ravana
And Ravana was mad of Seeta.
The real love is neither mutual
Nor reciprocal nor conditional.
Love is not rational; but instinctual.

A Little Cottage

A little cottage nestled in the hills,
its roof is thatched
and it windows carry Georgian squares.
In its garden pretty flowers grow;
while in the fields,
seeds of corn are sown.
Snug within its stonewalls
lives a family,
husband, wife and their two sons.
Sadness filled the cottage one day
when the sons were called to war.
Candles were lit; prayers were said
for their safe return.
Years rolled by, paintwork peeled,
but the little cottage was still a home
with its fire warm.
Day after day, year after year
they waited for their sons return.
Then came what they dreaded most,
letters laced with black
to say that their sons had fallen
in fields far away
and would not be coming back.
A wreath of black hangs on the door
for their soldier boys
who will come home no more.
Sorrow again gripped the walls.
As years followed,
the little cottage fell into disrepair.
Within this once happy home
only sadness rang.
The husband and wife
grew old in their years,
but always held the memory
of two young lost lives.
Slowly they too faded away.
Now the little cottage
stands silent for all to see.
Falling down from lack of repair,
but always holding memories
of happiness once there.

The Heroes

By such strange and wonderful ways
God would save His world again.
All our days are holy days,
Starry heroes all our men.

There's naught common or unclean
In this splendid new-made earth:
Hearts uplifted, eyes serene,
Grief goes gayer now than mirth.

Quietly in the sacred night
Tears must fall, O noble tears!
That are shed in the Lords' sight
And are only for His ears.

Who would mourn aloud for sons
Gorgeous in our firmament,
Starry constellations
In the way their fathers went?

From the innumerable grave
There will spring a world new-born,
With the austerest eyes and brave
And its clear gaze towards the morn.

He who gave His Son to die
For man's purchase, gives once more
These, His beloved sons, to buy
Him a world worth dying for.

Hanuman Chalisa

*** [COUPLETS] ***

I am praising the quality and fame,
Of the great Hindu Lord—Hanuman;
By making holy my heart & brain,
With blessings of Guruji—a Divine Man.

O Pawanputra! My body & brain are weak—you know,
So give me the physical power;
And a divine brain & useful knowledge,
And destroy all my sorrows & fear.

*** [STANZAS] ***

Jai Hanuman—the ocean of knowledge & divine quality,
In the whole universe—your name is present everywhere;
None is stronger than you on the earth,
You are the lord of the divine physical power.

O most brave and strongest God!
You are helpful in inspiring the good ideas;
In the heart of your blessed followers,
By making them divine & destroying their bad ideas.

All the wealth is yours & everyone worships you,
You are the embodiment of God Shankar;
You are always excited for doing the works,
Of Shri Ram & you are a great scholar.

You always enjoy listening to the characteristic,
Of God Ram & He lives in your heart;
You burnt Ravan's Golden Lanka,
And killed the evils by making your body—broad.

You brought Sanjivani & made Lakshman alive,
Then Shri Ram hugged you with full of affection;
And said that you were dear to him,
Like Bharat & would be in every situation.

Sugriv met with Ram & got,
His kingdom with your help;
Everyone knows that Vibhishan followed you,
And became the king of Lanka—himself.

The Sun—who is very far from the earth,
You considered Him as red fruit & swallowed;
And kept the ring of Shri Ram in your mouth,
And crossed the grand sea—braveness—you showed.

All difficult works seem easy against you,
All bad spirits run away, when they hear your name;
When you roar, whole universe trembles with fear,
Even God Ram praises your name & fame.

Goddess Sita gave you the power by which,
You could remove anyone's distress;
Tulsidas & Vikas are your true followers,
So, please live in their heart always!

*** [COUPLET] ***

O Pawanputra! You can solve all problems,
You have a divine & beautiful face;
Please live in my heart with God Shri Ram,
And also with Maa Sita & Lakshman—always.

Sons N Lovers

(ian hunter)
I was your baby-you were my girl
When I asked you to marry me- the tears fell
Sons n lovers, sons n lovers, waving
My childhood goodbye-it seems so sad
Well how long have you been my best friend
This wont be the end of
Sons n lovers-sons n lovers--she wont wanna talk anymore about it
You were my lady- I was your number one
When I said I was leaving- tears run
Sons n lovers-sons n lovers, breakin
Tryin not to hurt each others hearts
Well how long can we exist- I know
We cant go on like this
Sons n lovers-sons and lovers--i dont wanna lie anymore
Was that you I saw--walkin out along the shore
Was that you I saw-talkin to him
Was that you I saw-puttin his hands in yours
Thats alright ma- you can still love him
Thats alright ma- you can still love
And through the years-you know- we will remember
Time will never take old times away
How long for you to discover that- there still some strings attached to
Sons n lovers-sons and lovers
But I dont wanna play anymore
Sons n lovers

Lady Godiva

Her name was Lady Godiva
A lady so brave and so strong
Her husband the Earl of Mercia
He treated her terribly wrong
She's a lady
She's a lady
She rode naked on horseback
To stop him from his tax increase
But people in town closed their curtains
Than prison for living in peace
*She's a lady
She's a lady
She's a lady, Lady Godiva
The hero of Coventry
L-L-Lady Lady Godiva
She rode into history
Then sneaking a glance through the window
Was a guy they called Peeping Tom
He caught a glimpse and was blinded
Curiosity sometimes is wrong
*(repeat)
People liked Lady Godiva
Respectfully looking away
They honoured incredible courage
Her legend lives until today
*(repeat, repeat

Putting It On Record For Now...

there is this lady-judge
who had two talented and intelligent sons
with leadership qualities

she loved them so much
her husband is a lawyer who defended the poor
and the oppressed

they live on top of a hill away from the rest
they live a very private life
and mind their own affairs

her sons believed in an ideology of liberating the poor from their chains
left her home and fled to the mountains
the military searched them
and they vanished

there were many things that were rumored
one body was found beside a river ridden with bullets
rotten and worms were consuming each wound
another body was later found on the other side of the mountain
under the forest trees with a face that is severely disfigured

they speculated that they were the bodies of her two sons
missing for years and now thought of dead

the lady judge is strong
we do not speak about it
if she were weaker she would have gone insane
her husband got sick
and found no meaning in lawyering for the masses anymore

i must remember this
and write about it
because no one has done it

this i put on record
we did nothing to appease her
we did nothing to
put into the hands of the law those culprits
those were the harsh times

we only prayed
we only offered flowers
we only left towards our own respective homes

Escape the world

I wanna get away, away, away
far far far away.........

Wanna get away from it all
take some time with me

I just want to stop the world and let it be
So many people asking questions, or just let me be...

Run away from my cyber world........ No communication today.....
Just need some peace...........

Dont want this chain around me, always having to answer.........
I wanna get away, away, away
far far far away.........

Just want some peace and quiet and tranquility........

Dont want this chain around me, always having to answer.........
I wanna get away, away, away
far far far away.........

Ocean Of Affection Vavroovahana Patra

Mother’s love is an ocean of affection;
Earth is beautiful with mother’s creation.
Her love attracts sons and daughters;
In her lap they are sweet lovely creatures.

Earth smiles with mother’s dedication;
Mothers are innocent lovely women of creation.
Children derive peace serving mother;
They are Deities in the lap of creator.

Mother’s cosy face attracts day and night;
She is a Ganga of Purity and Delight.
Is a boo9k of inspiration;
Poet’s are renowned with mother’s benediction.

Mother’s affection Eternal on Earth;
She is an Ocean of Love and Mirth.
Is the incarnation of Tranquility;
Is a River of Delight.

Mother inspires to be great on Earth;
Serving the Mother glorious becomes human birth.
She toils hard for sons and daughters;
They are sweet lovely society’s creator.

Today

Today we looked at the crazy streets

rushing to get through the end of the week

I stopped to smell the flowers in the air

I often wonder if anyone cares?

Today I will not let anyone get to me.

The one thing that make me strong is that I believe.

Today I looked at the crazy streets

Rushing to get to the end of the week...

Today I will finish

and tomorrow I will complete..............

Maoists

Tribals are innocent
And natures sons
Do not arrest them
Terming Maoists.

Stop combing operations
In the area of the tribals.

Supply each and
Everybody the basic needs of life
You are their representatives
And took oath to serve.

Do not terrorised
Talk with them
Their problems
Solve them

Have mercy
Wait for peace.

Where It Was At Back Then

Husband,
last night I dreamt
they cut off your hands and feet.
Husband,
you whispered to me,
Now we are both incomplete.

Husband,
I held all four
in my arms like sons and daughters.
Husband,
I bent slowly down
and washed them in magical waters.

Husband,
I placed each one
where it belonged on you.
'A miracle,'
you said and we laughed
the laugh of the well-to-do.

My Grandfather's Tears!

Stomack groans; my heart moans;
on the road, this mind roams.
What can I achieve in this life?

Eyes of my granddad dropp tears of sorrow
worrying for his ill-fated history;
expecting money from this boy jobless
to regain all his mortgaged estates.
I didn’t reclaim all his lands from a
money lender wild and heartless fickle fiend.

Failure in business sailed him to Lanka
and from there to work in Malaysia.
Brought his wealth to his native village
soon to be a landlord esteemed.
What he earned off, lost to the lender,
What he inherited, remained for his five sons.

People called me a Gandhian’s grandson
For he took part in freedom struggles.
Laying link roads to our village
Pawned his lands and bade bye to his soul.
The wealth he brought home gave him status
but his sons were useless and thoughtless.

The Eyes of Swayambhu

Beloved poet 'Icchuk'!
On one of those days that have become history
a few days before you were killed
we are together - you and I
and with a pair of underground hands
you had scribbled a couple of sleepless dreams
at this very place
where, under the eyes of Swambhu
I am at present
seeking for those days
albeit in recollections!

Beloved poet 'Icchuk'!
When the news of your murder
reached villages and counties
like a momentous storm
the eyelashes of all seekers of a bright sky
were simultaneously soaked
and villages, tired of scarcities
wept along with me.
Papers sold more copies
for carrying the news of your demise.
The hapless people wept at your end
until their tears gathered to form a Gandaki -
yes, they were the same people
whose future you are seeking
even after your demise
the way people search for saligrams
in Kaligandaki.
Children sang mourning songs.

Beloved poet 'Icchuk'!
All these happened at the news of your murder!

A day after your murder
I asked the keen eyes of Swayambhu
whether a sun
with an old bag
and a lean body
roamed around, thither
as it did a day or so
earlier in the past.
I asked further
if a moon with sweet dreams
came that way, or not.
Have you seen
the foot marks of his murder?
Mounted on the top of this hill
did you recognize
the corpse of my beloved poet?
Tell o, the great eyes of Swayambhu!
You were, for sure a witness,
when my beloved poet was killed.
Did you ever see him around?

Hey There Beloved

Hey there beloved why are you walking away from me?
Hey there beloved don't you know all those gifts are from me?
Hey there beloved I carried you through your storms
Hey there beloved come back to me
Hey there beloved don't you know I'm waiting with open arms
Hey there beloved I wish you were not blind but could turn back and see
Hey there beloved don't you notice my art?
Hey there beloved my love for you is in every night sky
Hey there beloved look for my love in the sunset
Hey there beloved, the sun is for you
Hey there beloved the coolness of clouds is for your enjoyment
Hey there beloved I love you
Hey there beloved You can walk away

Hey there beloved it makes me cry when you chase other lovers, but
Hey there beloved I'll let you go because I want you to choose me
Hey there beloved I want you to learn to love me
Hey there beloved don't go to them
Hey there beloved they cannot fill you up
Hey there beloved, I'll never give up on you

Hey there beloved I'm full of tears
Hey there beloved I made you for so much more
Hey there beloved you don't have to dress like that
Hey there beloved they don't really love you
Hey there beloved you're more than just a body
Hey there beloved you don't have to try to be something you're not
Hey there beloved I still love you

Hey there beloved you don't have to earn my love
Hey there beloved those things won't satisfy you
Hey there beloved heed my voice that path will destroy you
Hey there beloved you're broken, but
Hey there beloved my heart breaks for you
Hey there beloved can't you see the brokenness?
Hey there beloved why do you ignore me
Hey there beloved.... I love you with all that I am
Hey there beloved, that's everything there is

Hey there beloved I love you with my entire being
Hey there beloved that's grander than the universe itself
Hey there beloved you've strayed so far away
Hey there beloved I'll always call you back
Hey there beloved I'll always be waiting
Hey there beloved I still love y-
Hey there beloved h--

Nature's instinct natural provocations
Naturally are humans on aesthetic emotions

Divine are the aesthetics godly fine
Undivine are the aesthetics destructive 'mine'

Endless portrayal immortal in description

Encompassed Rama and Sita at first sight
Espoused Sringara epically ethically bright

Tickled as the mind of a baby a clown
With Sursa did away brave hasya-Hanuman

Soul-filled composure, heartful karunya
Blessed Jatayu last rites done by merciful Rama

Sweet little Prahlada suffered the maximum
Salved from Hiranya Narasimha's raudram

Chivalrous chit valorous Krishna
Vanquished venemous Kaliya with great veera

Unfreed captive unmixed Sita
Feared of Ravana out of bhayanaka

Conspiracy of Kaikeyi and Mantara
Churned up Ayodhya disgusting with bhipatsa
