Sad Trumpets

sad trumpets pronouncing
taking me to a place
i can only almost reach.
always wanting
my hand outstretched
empty
and the sad soft trumpets
echo
somewhere.
they call to me
full
and soon the sad trumpets
are gone.
they never were.
only the faded shadow
of a memory.

Trumpets

Your love feels
Like trumpets sound
I said your love feels
Like trumpets sound
Your life is like a mountain
Yes, your life is like a mountain
And your heart is like a church
With wide open doors
And to be with you
Is to find myself in the best of dreams
Your love feels like trumpets
Your love feels
Like high summer
Your love feels
Like high, high, summer
Your life is like an ocean
Yes, your life is like an ocean
I want to dive in naked
Lose myself in your depths
I want to be with you
To find myself in the best of dreams
Your love feels like trumpets
Please dont wake me
No dont shake me
I want to be with you
When being with you is the same
The same as being you
Your love feels like trumpets

Where Will I Be

(daniel lanois)
The streets are cracked
And theres glass everywhere
And a baby stares out
With motherless eyes
Under long gone beauty
On fields of war
Trapped in lament
To the poets core
Oh where oh where will I be
Oh where oh when that trumpets sounds
Met an indian boy in ottawa
He laid me down on a bed of straw
Said dont waste your breath
Dont waste your heart
Dont blister your heels
Running in the dark
Oh where oh where will I be
Oh where oh when that trumpets sounds
Yeah I like the heat
Of your body laying under me
May your wild lip get you where your going
With your inventions your intentions, your laughter
Your forever yearning
Oh where oh where will I be
Oh where oh when that trumpets sounds
I walked to the river
And I walked to the rim
I walked through the teeth of the reapers grin
I walked to you rolled up in wire
To the other side of desire
Oh where oh where will I be
Oh where oh when that trumpets sounds
Oh where oh where oh where when that trumpet sounds
Oh where oh where oh when that trumpet sounds
Well the heart opens wide like its never seen love
And addiction stays on tight like a glove
Oh where oh where will I be

Daybreak

The greatest show on Earth
(non stop twenty four hours around the world)
Begins with a curtain-rise
of soft pink cloud
and a blare of golden trumpets;
The Sun's rebirth
we have seen it all before
we don't even bother to get out of bed,
or, if we're up already, we take heed
only to see will it be fine today
for our trip to the shore,
or the mountains; will it rain
for the school picnic,
will the races go on
or the test match be postponed?
And yet, one day, if the
sun should not rise,
what a loud refrain
of despair and horror
would run,
circling the whole Earth
as each place found
that today the golden trumpets
would not sound,
and the show was over!
We should think of each day
as our last for seeing the sun.

I Love Trumpets

Are you up tonight?
I think you wait for a miracle
If it came would you accept it?
I don't think so

The meek and gentle need love
World tomorrow is a hard sell
Do you believe in preserved bodies
I seen one in Rome
In a catacomb just laying there
Waiting for the trumpet

Do bad girls hear trumpets
I am from both sides my dear
You can be a woman with me
I love trumpets

Trumpets

Under the trimmed willows, where brown children
are playing
And leaves tumbling, the trumpets blow. A quaking
of cemeteries.
Banners of scarlet rattle through a sadness of maple
trees,
Riders along rye-fields, empty mills.
Or shepherds sing during the night, and stags step
delicately
Into the circle of their fire, the grove’s sorrow
immensely old,
Dancing, they loom up from one black wall;
Banners of scarlet, laughter, insanity, trumpets

Purple Splendor

Shiny and purple trumpets
Tiny bright and purple
Hyacinth flowers
Make fragrant hours
Fragrant trumpets
Bright purple hyacinths
Inside an artichoke jar
On a marble table of carved cherubins
I love thee more than
My color TV.

The Gates of Paradise

The eternal entrance into Eden
Is not locked with seven precious seals;
It has no charms nor light of heaven,
And the people don't know that it is.

It's a doorway in a wall forgotten --
Stones, moss and nothing more else,
Near stands a beggar; and the rotten,
Keys are hanging at his gaudy waist.

Paladins ride by in agitation,
Trumpets wail, and minted silver chant;
Nobody spares his attention
To the Peter -- the Apostle, the saint.

They dream: There, by Sepulchre of Savor,
Paradise will open doors for us;
At the footing of the Mount Thabor
The committed hour will thrust.

So by the armored monster goes;
In the air the trumpets ring and wail;
The Apostle in the tattered cloth,
Like a beggar, looks and poor and pale.

Jerusalem's Cry

Can you hear Jerusalem's cry
Can you see the storm on the rise
Look around you can;t deny
This is the hour of heaven's time
Armies gather in the East
For the war that's soon to come
Death will march with the mark of the beast
So seek the Light and walk with the Son
Soon we'll see His wrath come down
And the Lord descending from the sky
When you hear the trumpets sound
God has answered Jerusalem's cry
When the sun goes black
And the moon blood red
And the stars fall from the sky
The Word of God in the Bible says
We're living in the end times
Soon we'll see His wrath come down
And the Lord descending from the sky
When you hear the trumpets sound
God has answered Jerusalem's cry
Soon the dead in Christ will rise
And join Him in he sky
Even unbelivers will see
God has answered Jerusalem's cry
God has answered Jerusalem's cry

Fools

We waste our time with big illusions
Talking to the walls
But jericho will never fall
We sold our trumpets long ago
Exchanging all the best we had
Into atomic masterplans
We read the books we had our chance
We spend the world for just one dance
So keep on dancing, all you fools
The cups of fury have been filled
So keep on dancing, all you clowns
Lets have sip before were killd
So keep on dancing
These politicians make me sigh
Democracy is just a lie
As long as we are rich enough
Each gouvernment will do for us
We feed like vampires on the world
We are the first, they are the third
There aint no hope, we had our chance
We spent the world for one last dance
7 seals
7 trumpets
7 plagues
7 cups
7 angels
The scarlet beast
Mother of harlots
Faithful and true

Silent Exchange

Silent exchange
of nectar
Takes place,
Among butterflies and flowers,
Without any fanfare.

Joy of giving
And the art
Of receiving,
Without blowing
Any trumpets.

You can learn
Only from Nature

Beat Of Love

Drums, trumpets, jingles and
Flowers, colours and
A union born.

Take my hand
Straight like a torch illuminating a stream
Appetizing as beef stew in steam

Take my hand
I’m up in universe and
Your pulse, my beat.

Takin' A Chance On Love

Writers: LatoucheFetterDuke
Here I go again
I hear those trumpets blow again
All aglow again
Taking a chance on love
Here I slide again
About to take that ride again
Starry eyed again
Taking a chance on love
I thought that cards were a frame-up
I never would try
But Now I'm taking the game up
And the ace of hearts is high
Things are mending now
I see a rainbow blending now
We'll have a happy ending now
Taking a chance on love
(Instrumental break)
Here I slip again
About to take that tip again
Got my grip again
Taking a chance on love
Now I prove again
That I can make life move again
In the grove again
Taking a chance on love
I walk around with a horseshoe
In clover I lie
And brother rabbit of course you
Better kiss your foot good-bye
On the ball again
I'm riding for a fall again
I'm gonna give my all again
Taking a chance on love

Heartsease In My Garden Bed

Heartsease in my garden bed,
With sweetwilliam white and red,
Honeysuckle on my wall: -
Heartsease blossoms in my heart
When sweet William comes to call,
But it withers when we part,
And the honey-trumpets fall.

Let Them Have Their Tea With Crumpets

Let them have their tea with crumpets.
Sound the trumpets,
For those who seek a return of greed.
Since the leader the people selected,
Can not in truth maintain their philosophies.

He...
Wishes to present to them realities.
And they...
Were raised to feed on fantasies.
With praise they wish the world,
Continues to see.
That greatness hyped with hypocrisy!

But those who have chosen to sip their tea,
Even without him leading them...
Can not believe nor accept,
A change is evident.
With a coming to them that is direct.

Because on just 'credit'...
The economy bleeds.
And those who now seethe,
Are the ones who depleted it!

Let them have their tea with crumpets.
Sound the trumpets,
For those who seek a return of greed.
Since the leader the people selected,
Can not in truth maintain their philosophies.
And without his honesty...
They perceive a boundless gluttony,
Will and can come back again.

'What about the thieves?
Who holds them accountable,
For their activities? '

Sssshhh...
That is part of the reality,
They rather see erased from them to leave.

The End Of A Love Affair

Edward c. redding
So I walk a little too fast and I drive a little too fast
And Im reckless its true, but what else can you do at the
End of a love affair?
So I talk a little too much, and I laugh a little too much
And my voice is too loud, when Im out in a crowd
So that people are apt to stare
Do they know, do they care, that its only that Im lonely
And low as can be?
And the smile on my face isnt really a smile at atll!
So I smoke a little too much, and I drink a little too much
And the tunes I request are not always the best
But the ones where the trumpets blare!
So I go at a maddening pace, and I pretend that its taking
Your place
But what else can you do, at the end of a love affair

Breath Of Death

Death is not death,
It is life without breath,

Life on earth is life that is blind,
Blinded by stress and the curse of time,
True life is life that remains untied,
Pure life is life that has honor and pride,

The cold breathe of death actually guilds,
It guilds to a place where darkness subsides,
Passed the shadow a secluded warmth is seen,
Benevolence and compassion becomes pristine,

The Floor is cover with clouds of gold,
An eternal joy that never grows old,
They wait for you to come alive,
Trumpets waiting for you to arrive,

Sitting there is the humble Lord,
Guarding the gates with his shield and sword,
All your loved ones and all you've known,
How can this love even be shown,

Reach out your heart and give him your hand,
There is nothing to fear so please understand,
He knows you believe but now you must try,
You must understand that to live you must die,

Yes, this death is death indeed,
A death of pain and an unheard plead.,
However this death is truly not death,
Only new life that lives without breath.
