Royal Bengal Tiger

Royal bengal tiger!
When swim to pass across river
Target is determined.
Just straight forward move on
To reach that place has set out.

Ever if waves move little
Back to the beginning point.
Straight a must
No left no right
Upright - just.

Royal bengal do not know,
jostle and joggle
He knows-
Hazardous jolt,
Frightening thunderbolt!

Eyes are radiant with glory
Trustworthy.
Richer colour for
Amazing stripes
Created ancient myth and folklore

Royal bengal tiger never agree with
Mischievous counsel of jackals.

(The national animal of Bangladesh is Royal Bengal Tiger)

Sarwar Chowdhury, the poet from Bangladesh

I'm telling you about Bangladesh, a wonderful country,
Located in the Bay of Bengal, on its northern coast,
Between Brahmaputra and Ganges, a triangular territory
Extending eastward to embrace the Surma River Valley...
In the northeast and southeast, having low hills of soft rocks.

Its ubiquitous Panthera tigris, known as Royal Bengal Tiger
A ferocious big cat, in fact, which is nice and very grand
The national animal, finding always its royal home here,
In the pristine mangrove forests of the Sundarban land.
For hunting pig, antelope, young elephant, and deer.....

With tropical monsoons, combining Dravidian, Persian,
And west European cultures, Mongol, Arab, and Indo-Aryan
It has a national bird, the doyle or the magpie robin
Changing it’s voice, breeding territories jealously guarding,
Unobtrusive each non-breeding season, nicely singing...

With the national flower, Shapla, the white water lily,
And Shapla Sqare, a monument in Dhaka, its capital.
With jackfruit, kathal, the national big fruit, and really
Growing to huge sizes hundreds of pounds, unique and real
And Nazrul geetis, a foundation of vocals in its complexity.

I seemingly hear Nazrul Islam saying with a voice so clear
''Amai nohe go bhalobasho shudhu bhalobasho mor gaan.''
Meaning: ''do not love only me, love my song dear’'
And I'm telling you about the poet Kazi Nazrul Islam
And I'm telling you about the philosopher poet Fakir Lalon

And about Rabindranath tagore, the Nobel prize winner,
Jibonananda dash, who wrote about the nature as poet
The tea gardens and the town on the bank of Surma river
And about Sarwar, the wonderful poet from Sylhet
Who writes his poetry worthily being a very good conceiver.

When he confesses by writing: ''My naked Beauty said-''
'Microcosm', 'Nothing can move faster than love speed'
'This is Love speaking', ''Male + Female = The M a n''
'My moon-river', 'Our reciprocal gravitation orbit'
His poems are like jewels made by a very good craftsman.

'Drilled by love! '', 'to change 'dust into pure gold'.''
' ''To be a PERFECT LOVER! '', while ''Tempo come and go.''
'Magnetizing mate-chum' 'Quizzical mind ''in tension'
When he writes always his words has a special glow
'All the best dear Bangladesh motherland mine ''I love you..'

He wrote about Royal Bengal so pleasant to the eye
' Do not know''jostle and joggle''He knows''Hazardous jolt'
Because he loves his country, the people, and the life
He is a real poet and his words fall like a thunderbolt.

The white tiger

In the wildness the white tiger is so rarely found
Having a very white colored fur with black deep stripes
It’s a solitary genre wanting no one around
With its retractable claw the white tiger the prey gripes.

It is born from Bengal tiger having round deep blue eyes
Because the Bengal tiger has genes for white coloring
It may be complete white, but may not be different in size
At night it hunts some pigs, cattles and deers for eating.

These double recessive allele in their genetic code
Are the cause for turning up once in every thousand births.
The Bengal tiger becomes white in this natural mode
A great potential for excellence is found in its strengths.

In small areas with concentrated prey it survives
White tigers in the wild live about ten or fifteen years
It learns to be a swimmer when in the water it dives
And runs to catch any prey that in its sight appears.

Maharajah Shri Martand Singh hunted in the jungle
He saw a tigress with four cubs and one of them was white.
With drum beat and trumpet blast he ought fires to juggle
Next day he searched it but no tigress appeared in his sight.

At night the tiger vision is six times better than ours.
Tiger scratches on trees serve as territorial marker.
The stripes help the tiger to stay hidden many hours
And sometimes it fights a new territory to conquer.

The white tiger stripes are always like human fingerprint;
No two tigers have the same pattern of stripes on their fur
Female takes cubs to kill or in prey their teeth to imprint
But before this they are all blind and weigh two or three pounds.

Silent Swimmer

When solemn evening faded in
In this new neighbourhood,
The Bengal tiger waded in,
As silent as he could.
Amid the water, still quite warm,
His head was sailing high.
The water swirled around his form
As he swam slowly by...

The Bengal tiger all alone
Must find food by himself,
Preserving still that heart of stone
With wisdom, guile and stealth...
The secret swimmer swam that day,
Starvation deep inside...
For hunger never fades away
Till food has been supplied...

His eyes were seeking food to eat,
So silence was his friend,
For in the hunt he must compete
And on his skills depend.
No fish must scatter in alarm,
No bird must fly or flee...
No nearby creatures sense the harm
Of what was meant to be...

Tiger

Tiger with coat of dissimilar stripes,
When he’s angry, tiger swipes,
Tiger cautious, guarding his lair,
Danger lurking, tiger aware.

Tiger hungry so he hunts,
Facing quarry, tiger confronts.
Tiger waiting, being sly,
Undercover, no tiger espy.

Tiger detects, now he purrs,
Hunger pangs, tiger stirs.
Tiger quick, must now surprise,
Here we have one tiger, wise.

Tiger from his throat he roars,
Stretching out those tiger claws.
Tiger moving, stealthy pelt,
Expiration, by tiger dealt.

Tiger now with belly filled,
Anger passed, one tiger stilled.
Tiger sleeping, with the Pride,
Craving gone, tiger satisfied.

Tiger such a majestic sight,
Near extinction, tiger fight.
Tiger beautiful and fine,
You’re such a leonine feline.

Tiger we must have respect, ,
For your great tiger intellect.

Tiger, Tiger

Tiger one to tiger two
Tiger one says I love you
Tiger two does not reply
So tiger one, he starts to cry

Tiger two says why you cry?
Tiger one says 'you did not reply'
Tiger two says I need not to
Tiger one says why?

Tiger two says i love you
Tiger one says i love you too
Tiger one says why oh why?
Why didnt you reply?

Tiger two says I love you
I don't have to say it
You know its true
Now you know the reason why
Tiger two did not reply

Tiger one realises why
Tiger two did not reply
So tiger one he starts to smile
And says tiger two is very fine

For tiger two is my dearest babe
Whome I think of everyday
And tiger two I cannot wait
To see your pretty face again

Indian Adolescent

The Bengal tiger cub looked fine,
On top form for his age,
Maturing like the finest wine
And not locked in a cage...
As free as birds that fly the sky,
As wily as the rest,
As fast as those that seem so spry,
The tiger cub looked blessed.

Consider everything you know,
Of all the creatures seen,
His fur looks like it's all aglow,
Magnificent, serene...
He's on the prowl, for who knows what?
No longer playing games...
And now he'll give it all he's got,
With newly-focused aims...

He's confident that he must win,
He's steadfast through and through...
So valiant he'll not give in,
He'll do what he must do.
His eyes are like two worlds apart,
Together they're a team...
Yet driven by that tiger's heart,
Who knows what dreams they'll dream?

So I go
…..smile all of friend and foe.
.….the time has come to depart
…..be off a must that do us part.

…..do not shed tears do not mourn
…..wasn’t here- came to be torn.

So I go
…..smile all of friend and foe
…..life come, learn, burn, test, go by
…..death values life, gladly say goodbye!

…..love is the cause, life the effect
…..love to love, not to love in fact!

So I go
…..smile all of friend and foe
…..practice love to get the Love
…..things move see down to above.

…..all of soul mate, listen come near
…..love has set even will no appear!

So I go
..Dear earth, grateful to gravity..thanks basic forces..mountains, green grass…sun moon little star..thanks Himalaya… butterfly, birds, rivers…..
O sky, dear cloud, rain, sea, ocean thanks lot..blossoms of bosoms… waves, dawn, breeze.. dear shade trees! anguishes felt, but
nothing to do, thanks and forgive, dews drop, days,
sunshine, nights..thanks flood, cyclone, tsunami
….to volcano too…and satan, couldn’t
Influence me to loot innocence of sweet
girls, thanks to your failure. And owls,
born blind to dark night
thanks for prayer
in vain…
So I go
Dear dogs, cats rats..monkey dolphin donkey…smile all animals in Asia Africa Europe, Australia, America…. Amazon, sundarban…smile sweet dear humming bird… Royal Bengal tiger…. horse, aphrodisiac zebra, cow, ass, ants bees … deer, hare, carnivorous bear..smile venomous snake, insect.. and too, dear penguins..And colours in motion..the origin absolute white..

So going away dear Tajmahal..All the best dear Bangladesh motherland mine …O my golden Bengal, I love you.. Know, this is not an end of the self but an end…ordered to came from timelessness, lived in time and return now into timelessness… So going away…bye dear bye, thanks for thou invisible kisses again and again..warmth regards…cheerio!

Eye of the Tiger

Tiger, Tiger burning bright
hunts his prey by neon light
Real or bleached, you know the kind
big up front with a sweet behind..

Tiger, tiger, none too bright
Left his cell phone in plain sight
When Elin saw his contact list
She grabbed his driver in her fist.

Four hundred yards straight off the tee
Tiger drives that easily
But when his little wife went clubbing
His face and lawn both took a drubbing

Tiger Tiger burning bright
Doesn’t like the bright spotlight
Yet on his off days he’d resort
To pros who play a different sport

Tiger Tiger made a tape
of Tiger 'eagaling' his date
It came into the hands of 'Vivid'
If they release it he'll be Livid

Tiger, tiger lost Gillette
And Gatorade sent their regrets
Now he’s hawking Trojan’s Wares
and lady Clairol for Blonde hair.

Save The Tiger

As a child when I went to the circus,
Though I loved the clowns and the acrobats,
I hated when the ringmaster made the animals act
And do unnatural things,
To tickle human beings.
As the tiger came out of the cage,
You could see he was in rage.

On a visit to the zoo,
Seeing the tiger roam,
I often wondered,
How does it feel
To be uprooted from your natural habitat.
The frustration was writ large on the face of the royal cat.

On growing up, and on a visit to
A family friend’s farm house,
I used to squirm to see walls decorated with tiger skins
And the conversation full of anecdotes of the kill.
I often wonder
Is that why it’s becoming extinct.

We really had no right to kill
For pleasure or greed,
Every creature has a place in the scheme of things
It’s sad today the tiger tops the list of endangered species.

I still remember the poem by Blake,
Which I read in the seventh grade.
The day is not far when those famous stripes
Will just adorn the rags of designer lines.

Phantom Tiger

There, quietly stalking into night
Silent as a shooting star,
Her name spelling panic and phobic
Fright, her stripes as good as fingerprints,
The back of her ears showing white eyes,
Her enemy to hypnotize.

Tiger was hunted to near extinction
Under the hands of the Brits;
Towering on the elephant phalanx,
Guns frightening many a beast;
Those men took aim and put down the bloody, mighty corpses of the magic animal.
Now tiger is beneath
No elephant and rifle,
But a new wave of compassion and cheer,
Compensated with protected territory.

But if the same old story holds sway
Men will blossom first,
And if they bludgeon again the tiger
Completely, they shall have to die
Of thirst.

Victor Hugo

Fable Or History

Possessed of royal appetite, and feeling rather thin,
A monkey one day dressed himself in a tiger's skin
The tiger had been nasty; the monkey was atrocious,
Wearing on his back the right to be ferocious.
He set himself to gnashing teeth and let loose with this cry:
Conqueror of the jungle, the night's dark king am I!
As a bandit of the forest, in the bushes he lurked,
And snatched away and murdered and other horrors worked.
Laid waste the forest, slit the throats of those passing through,
And with the skin that covered him did all it used to do.
He lived within a cave, knee-deep in butchery,
And all who saw the skin believed the tiger was he.
He would cry out, would bring forth a truly terrible roar:
Behold within my cave the bones of victims before.
Before me all draw back and shudder, everyone doth flee,
All tremble - I am tiger! Look! and worship me!
The animals were all awe-struck and fled with great alarm,
A lion-tamer came and grabbed him with his arm,
And ripped off the tiger's skin like a flimsy piece of tissue,
Laid bare this 'conqueror' and said, 'You're just a monkey, you!'

Tiger By The Tail

What a shock it was so surprising
You looked so small and frail
I didnt know what to do
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
People said that you must be joking
You let emotions run away with you
I realized a little too late
I bit off more than I could chew
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
At times life can be so enlightening
But it can turn on you
Lately it gets so complicated i
I dont know what the tiger will do
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail

Tiger in the wood

There is a tiger in the woods
With such an attitude

There is a tiger in the woods
Do not stay out there in the nude

There is a tiger in the woods
Alternating between humble and rude

There is a tiger in the woods
Looking for its prey, so pray
Soon will be injurious what was once good
Ready and steady he sets about to slay
The brave who protrude along his way

There is a tiger in the wood
Thinking about you as food
A known serial killer
Seeking a bestial thriller

There is a tiger in the wood
Whose beautiful stripes, I conclude
Put you off guard. Understood?
Such display, I call the tiger’s interlude.

Watching You

The Royal Tiger was acclaimed
Across the whole world wide
And in great pictures he'd been framed,
With genius and pride...
Distinctive stature has its charm,
Amid the ancient trails
And Man protects him from all harm,
For true love never fails...

Endangered species can't express
Their every daily need
And whether tiger, or tigress,
We know each one must feed...
As long as we've got some control,
Some stewardship at least,
Each Man must look inside his soul,
For beauty and the beast...

That's why the bold white tiger stood,
His old blue eyes aglow,
About to do what tigers should
When hunger starts to grow...
And so the hunt was on again,
For creatures great and small,
Perhaps to feast, survive and then
Be feared by one and all...

Ripples

With his turned up nose and whiskers
At all that life could bring,
The tiger known as Sour Puss,
Would growl at anything!
He loathed the sun, he loathed the rain,
He loathed the clouds above,
In fact, he was a royal pain,
With nothing much to love...

But when he found the silver stream
Where ripples were at play,
He changed, as if now in a dream,
They really made his day...
His whiskers arched in great surprise
And then he tip-toed in...
Forced to agree that it felt nice
Upon his tiger skin...

'Oh, yes! ' he said, 'This sure feels good! '
He grinned from ear-to-ear!
As if confirming that he would
Be soon returning here...
He watched the ripples mesmerised,
As they danced to-and-fro...
Their spectacle so highly prized,
He didn't want to go...
