Resistance is thought transformed into feeling. Change the thought that creates the resistance, and there is no more resistance.

Love flows against banks
Every flow slows with resistance.
Sexual love is an exception
It flows against resistance
With increased persistence.

An art of living
Discomfort!
You’re strengthening your resistance.
Resistance!
You’re hardening your mind.
Hindrance!
You’re improving your tolerance.
Inconvenience!
You’re growing to be gentle.
Learn this art of living.

But nobody predicted anything of this magnitude in terms of resistance. And in part, the magnitude of the resistance was spurred by our failures in reconstruction.

It is a struggle; for though the black man fights passively, he nevertheless fights; and his passive resistance is more effective at present than active resistance could possibly be. He bears the fury of the storm as does the willow tree.

Resistance To Its Existence
Only those who have discovered the truth,
For what it really is...
Can no longer submit to denial.
Or masquerade the experiencing of pain.
Pain has a way of making personal,
Its visitations...
When the prolonging of a resistance,
To its existence...
Is revealed in the feeling of it.
With an intended healing,
From all that had been delusioned.
And all that 'had' been delusioned,
Is observed still catering...
To willing participants.
Disregarding an urgency.
And...
The presence of it meant!
And all that 'had' been delusioned,
Is observed still catering...
To willing participants,
Subdued...
In a resistance to truth's existence.
And all that 'had' been delusioned,
Refusing the acceptance of truth...
Is observed subdued,
In a resistance to its existence.
And all that 'had' been delusioned,
Is observed still catering...
In a resistance to truth's existence.
While attempting to escape from its insistence.
Disregarding an urgency.
And...
The presence of it meant!

Runaround On The Underground
(a. bell / v. clarke)
Im waiting at the bus stop for a double-decker ride.
Supermarket checkout boy finds his way inside.
A shady looking character, his beady eyes on me.
I slip into a window seat, and then pretend to read.
Its a wild, its a wild, wild, wild world.
The hardest thing is holding on,
Holding on and take the strain.
Theyre coming at me at angles that I never knew existed.
They aint gonna get me.
Im building up my colours of resistance. (colours of resistance)
Its a runaround on the underground.
A cybermatic shopper, with a slight sadistic grin,
Pulls a zipper on her sleeping bag; shuts herself within.
A triple quilted chrysalis waiting for the sales.
A bargain basement butterfly going off the rails
Its a wild, its a wild, wild, wild world.
The hardest thing is holding on,
Holding on and take the strain.
Theyre coming at me at angles that I never knew existed...woah
They aint gonna get me.
Im building up my colours of resistance. (colours of resistance)
Its a runaround on the underground.
Its a wild, its a wild, wild, wild world.
The hardest thing is holding on,
Holding on and take the strain.
Theyre coming at me at angles that I never knew existed.
They aint gonna get me.
Im building up my colours of resistance. (colours of resistance)
Its a runaround on the underground the hardest thing is holding on,
Holding on and take the strain.
Theyre coming at me at angles that I never knew existed.
They aint gonna get me.
Im building up my colours of resistance. (colours of resistance)
The hardest thing is holding on,
Holding on and take the strain.

On A Path Of Least Resistance
I'm on a path of least resistance.
And its existence.
On a path of least resistance.
I'm on a path of least resistance,
And its existence.
On a path of least resistance.
Pain,
And its existence.
Felt,
And its existence.
Hurts,
In this existence...
And I need to get away.
Pain,
And its existence.
Felt,
And its existence.
Hurts,
In this existence...
And I need to get away.
I'm on a path of least resistance.
And its existence.
On a path of least resistance,
And I need to get away.
I'm on a path of least resistance.
And its existence.
On a path of least resistance,
And I need to get away.
Oh!
Pain,
And its existence.
Oh.
Felt,
And its existence.
Oh.
Hurts,
In this existence...
And I need to get away.
Oh pain,
And its existence.
Oh.
Felt,
And its existence.
Oh.
Hurts,
In this existence...
And I need to get away.
I'm on a path of least resistance.
And its existence.
On a path of least resistance,
And I need to get away.
Oh!
Pain,
And its existence.
Oh.
Felt,
And its existence.
Oh.
Hurts,
In this existence...
And I need to get away.
Pain and its existence,
From it...
I need to get away.
I'm on a path of least resistance.
And I need to get away.
I'm on a path of least resistance.
The least resistance.
On a path of least resistance.
And I need to get away.
Oh pain,
And its existence.
Oh.
Felt,
And its existence.
Oh.
Hurts,
In this existence...
And I need to get away.
Pain,
And its existence.
And I need to get away.
Pain in this existence.
Pain in this existence.
There is a pain in this existence.
And I need to get away.
I'm on a path of least resistance.
And its existence.
On a path of least resistance.
And I need to get away.
There's too much pain in this existence.
And I need to get away.
I'm on a path of least resistance.
And its existence.
On a path of least resistance.
And I need to get away.

Something in all human beings makes them want to do the right thing. Not that this desire always prevails; oftentimes it is overcome and they turn towards evil. But some power is constantly calling them back. Ever there comes a resistance to wrongdoing. When bad conditions begun to accumulate, when the forces of darkness become prevalent, always they are ultimately doomed to fail, as the better angels of human nature are roused to resistance.

So Close
Youve been keeping me in limbo
Playing hide and seek
Youve been teasing me cause you know
That it makes me weak
Youve done everything to fall in love
I know what youre running from
Kisses like these are few and far between
Now were so close yet so far away
Im breaking down the distance
With every move, with every touch
Youre wearing down my resistance
You know your lonely days are numbered
Theres nothing you can do
Therell be no more keeping us apart
Im ready for the love to start
I can almost feel it breaking through
Now were so close yet so far away
Im breaking down the distance
With every move and every touch
Im wearing down your resistance
I wanna get closer, closer to you
I can almost feel it breaking through
So close yet so far away
Im breaking down the distance
With every move and every touch
Im wearing down your resistance
So close yet so far away
Im breaking down the distance
With every touch and every move
Youre wearing down my resistance

Resistance
Resistance
Identity lost,
Dignity ripped,
Land occupied,
Resistance inevitable,
History witnessed;
The tribe of Mahatma,
The nation of Martin,
The country of Nelson
Prevailed,
Sabers never rattled,
Bullets never fired,
Blood never shed
But,
Identity reclaimed,
Dignity restored,
Land freed,
And above all,
Peace won.

Travel Thru Time
We should fear fear itself as it was said wisely,
It is true that so many threats in this life can reach us freely.
However, we must develop an antidote with a strong faith,
Find unmovable strength to step through the sureness gate.
Resistance if futile as we all heard before,
We play out the law for each other
Relax, follow your feelings forevermore.
With resistance & opposing you just destroy your own system,
Be flexible, kind & understanding, then you'll never have any problem.
Judgement is a tricky thing, which can be misunderstood,
Just observe when you see what others do, bad or good,
Not just keep on gossiping & tell how they are
But learn and discard it or if it's good put it into your reservoir.
As the wise men suggest, travel thru time
Avoiding fear, resistance and judgement,
That's how you'll find constant betterment.
If you follow your feeling, but stand up for your deed,
That; s the reason you are here in time and space to proceed..

Dr. Luther's Assistant
Everything seems so tranquil
Home movies with no subtitles
Don't you wish you knew what they were sayin'
When the film keeps playin', playin' ?
Oh, he's doctor luther's assistant
He'll close in when he seems so distant
Doctor luther's assistant
He'll get on top of you when you lower your resistance
Some say he is just a lackey
Changing words while the ink is still tacky
He's absolutely indispensable
He keeps the other boys in suspense
Oh, he's doctor luther's assistant
He'll close in when he seems so distant
Doctor luther's assistant
He'll get on top of you when you lower your resistance
Luther is locked in a broken-down cinema
Watches his wife with his video camera
Sees his best boy makin' her grin
Out of the kitchen, she's gone with the wind
Oh, doctor luther's assistant
He'll close in, when he seems so distant
Doctor luther's assistant
He'll get on top of you when you lower your resistance

Violent Intent
She rushed up from her chair
hands flying
nails unsheathed
scratching
clawing,
violent intent;
and she drew blood.
He crouched away
shielding his face
but too late
the bloody scratch line
grew crimson red
and instinctively
his hand flew up
to touch the bleeding spot
where his inside red fluid
became his outside red flow.
She was back again with a
flailing kick
to reach him
at his tender spot
and buckling he
laid down flat out
and opened himself up
for her all-out assault.
She paused above him
ready to pummel again
and hesitated
because he offered
her no resistance,
no attempt to protect himself.
She grappled down onto him
saddled him to punch him
and still he made no attempt
to protect or resist.
And she hit him a small slap
and realized
she was
the aggressor.
And tears began to flow
in eyes
which realized
that isolated inside one's own violence
non-resistance
is the clue
that anger
is mostly
self-inflicted
and grows only
if it provokes
similar anger
and similar violent
resistance.
And before her then
was non-resistance
forcing her to recognize
that the one below
her violent blows
was her beloved
husband
who didn't deserve
this.
What he had done
was to lie quiet
being the mirror.
