Rubies

There are nine rubies in this Indian ring,
And every blood-red ruby is a part
Of the nine-petalled rose that is my heart,
The elaborate rose of my own fashioning.
Not out of any garden have I sought
The rose that is more brief than dawn or dew:
Stones of the flame and ice, I find in you
The image of the heart that I have wrought.
For you are cold and burn as though with fire,
For you are hard, yet veil soft depths below,
And each divided ruby seems to glow
With the brief passion of its own desire.
Rose of my heart, shall this too be the same?
For, when one light catches the wandering rays,
They rush together in one consuming blaze
Of indivisible and ecstatic flame.

My Rose...

a rose drunk from my tears...
a rose that i take care about it by my soul...

and perfumed it by my love....

Ruby The Smart Maltese

Ruby is a Maltese with fur as white as snow,
she walks with Mrs. Cohen and doesn’t mind if it’s cold.
For Ruby has a gorgeous thick hair,
she is very quiet but doesn’t bark in the air.
Mrs. Cohen walks with Ruby wearing black her favorite color,
she once told me Ruby is her child and she is her mother.
Now Mr. Cohen said that Ruby is very smart,
and his words comes from his heart.
The Cohen’s love to walk Ruby when it’s warm,
they are visiting Florida to get away from the cold north.
Ruby will meet a lot of new dog friends down here,
they are enjoying the weather this time of year.

Red is colour of blood vital for human survival!

Blood circulating all over in the body brings air
Fresh, pure and life supporting oxygen for man

Two schools of thought.

The lady chose to take offence
Although I said she wrote fine prose
She may not know the difference
between poetry and prose

She thought that she wrote poetry
But what she wrote was free form prose.
I offered no apology
It was not my fault that she chose.

Not to learn the basic rules
defining prose and poetry
Two very different writing schools
in which to show your artistry.

The so called experts can’t agree
and coined the term poetic prose.
Though writing cannot possible
be classed as poetry and prose.

If it’s not metered it is prose
no matter how poetical.
But you’re entitled to compose.
Fine prose and call it poetry.

Though I suggest respectfully
you should be proud of writing prose.
As some do most successfully.
But it was poetry I chose
