Ive Convinced Everybody But Me
The guys down at the job all want to know
How things are going since I let you go
I laugh and say my heart aint missed a beat
Ive convinced everybody but me
Chorus
Im all right, im okay,
Thats what I always say
When they ask me how im doing without you
I say im glad im free and if they all believe
Ive convinced everybody but me
Im the life of the party every night
Nobody knows im dyin deep inside
I dont hurt at all as far as they can see
Ive convinced everybody but me
(chorus)
I smile in every mirror
Like im such a happy man
But my heart knows what a liar I am
(chorus)
Yes, ive convinced everybody but me

You & Me
Theres a leafless tree in asia
Under the sun theres a homeless man
Theres a forest fire in the valley
Where the story all began
What will be our last thought?
Do you think its coming soon?
Will it be a comfort
Or the pain of a burning wound?
All we are trying to say
Is we are all weve got
You and me just cannot fail
If we never, never stop
Youre an ocean full of faces
And you know that we believe
Were just a wave that drifts around you
Singing all our hopes and dreams
We look around in wonder
At the work that has been done
By the visions of our father
Touched by his loving son
All we are trying to say
Is we are all weve got
You and me just cannot fail
If we never, never stop
All we are trying to say
Is we are all weve got
You and me just cannot fail
If we never, never stop
You and me just cannot fail
If we never, ever, never, ever stop...

Waiting To Be Saved
I heard about this story in the news today,
About a man who lost his senses, lost his way,
About a man who had his will taken away.
He took his life but not before he made them pay.
So go on ask yourself the question
(Are you convinced that you're ok?)
Are you convinced that you're ok?
(So go on ask yourself the question)
And often times it makes you wonder...
Are we not that safe?
I heard this story about this woman yesterday,
A 27 year old teacher of 5th grade,
Kid bought a gun to school and took her life away,
The politicians placed the blame,
And nothing changed!
And I feel it today, (Feel it today)
It feels like nothing else, nothing else I am waiting to be saved.
HELPLESS!
I feel it today, (Feel it today)
It feels like nothing else, nothing else I am waiting to be saved.
So go on ask yourself the question
(Are you convinced that you're ok?)
Are you convinced that you're ok?
(So go on ask yourself the question)
And often times it makes you wonder...
Are we not that safe?
And I feel it today, (Feel it today)
It feels like nothing else, nothing else I am waiting to be saved.
HELPLESS!
I feel it today, (Feel it today)
It feels like nothing else, nothing else I am waiting to be saved.
I heard a story from the media today,
About a man who lost his senses, lost his way,
About a woman who was taken yesterday,
About the children who may never see the light of day!
And I feel it today, (Feel it today)
It feels like nothing else, nothing else I am waiting to be saved.
HELPLESS!
And I feel it today, (Feel it today)
It feels like nothing else, nothing else I am waiting to be saved.

Do You Still Need To Be Convinced
Why the exasperation?
'I'm undecided as to which elitist,
Has the most pathetic...
'How I Got Rich' story.
And has convinced me...
Those I owe money to I don't have,
Will become my best friends...
After I pick one to vote for in a few weeks,
Will lower the costs of my cable bill, taxes...
Gas and oil I need with other utilities I pay.'
Here...
Let me help you!
'Hey...
That hurts.
Why did you slap me? '
I would have kicked you,
But you were sitting down.
'It makes no difference how it was done.
I would be the one to feel the pain.'
Exactly.
Do you still need to be convinced,
As to what decision to make?
Think of it like this...
Who's going to be left to feel the pain?
'And...
Get away with the doing of it.'
Why are you looking at 'me' like that?
You can't say I didn't add a touch of reality!

I think that if my kids are completely convinced of God's unfailing love for them, whether they fail or not, they'll have confidence to persevere in life.

Skies The Limit
Written by christine mcvie
If Ive been acting just a little strange
And you have noticed it too
Its cos my life has been rearranged
With the presence of you
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
How can we fail
Can you give me one reason why
Youd ever let me down
I wont believe it baby, but Ill try
The truths goin to come around
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
Sooner or later
Ill keep the promise
I made to you
Sooner or later
It will be greater
Then we ever knew
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit

There are some books that refuse to be written. They stand their ground year after year and will not be persuaded. It isn't because the book is not there and worth being written -- it is only because the right form of the story does not present itself. There is only one right form for a story and if you fail to find that form the story will not tell itself.

Tell Me A Story
Tell me a story that isn't gory
tell me a story that isn't fake
tell me a story where you made a mistake
tell me a story where the cows come home
tell me a story I want to know
tell me a story where the princess finds herself
not a prince who is more like an elf.
Tell me a story that I can laugh out loud
tell me a story where storm makes lighting clouds.
For in the end we only have our stories to tell
what make them funny, give them hell.

Why Are You Waiting
What can I do Im at the door
Ive tried turning back theres no point in that now
What should I say, what should I do
Should I fix my hair oh why am I scared now
Facing the world is so hard do you know what I mean
People are so often hard and far too ready to say...hey...ohhh
Why are you waiting?
Why are you waiting?
Why are you waiting?
What if I fail (you wont fail)
Why are you waiting?
What if I fail (you wont fail, you wont fail)
Look at me stand outside the door
Like a frightened child with a nervous smile see
What should I do, what should I say
Should I speak at all
I am much too small now
Facing the world is so hard do you know what I mean
People are so often hard and far too ready to say...hey...ohhh
Why are you waiting?
Why are you waiting?
Why are you waiting?
What if I fail (you wont fail)
Why are you waiting?
What if I fail (you wont fail)
Why are you waiting?
What if I fail (you wont fail, you wont fail, you wont fail)

But if I can be convinced and then through the work that we do together, the orchestra can really be convinced of the big sweep of that communication that the piece suggests, then the audience will get it and it will be a good experience for all of us.

I've Just Started
I am flattered,
But not yet sold.
Nor am I convinced,
By what I am told.
My steps on a path,
Has not changed at all.
The obstacles remain the same.
I am just careful how I fall.
Stumbling to get up,
Has become my ritual.
With few complaints...
I master my strengths.
I am flattered,
But not yet sold.
Nor am I convinced,
By what I am told.
I just 'do'.
To get done.
With a motivation...
That inspires me to finish.
I am flattered that this has been recognized.
But not yet sold am I.
Nor convinced by what I am told,
About achieving with accomplishment...
The best of my efforts.
That's impossible!
How could I when I've just started.

Bookworm
There's a story that like a dessert I love
And I enjoy every page slowly as much as I can
There's story that makes me desperate
And even my day becomes gloomy after I read
There's story that safe to be read anytime
And I don't mind if it's going up or down
There's story that could burn me to the core
And left me with desire to create another story
There's story that easily predict
And I could finish it without much thinking
There's story that has a very good cliffhanger
And I need to rush to the publisher to make it comes fast
There's story that goes like my dream
And I want to repeat over and over until I'm getting bored
