Promise Kept Between Lovers (Oct 5th,2003)
I remember the day when
we found ourselves together
we delighted in our thoughts
we cherished the time together
we were alone in the moment
we were apart from everything going on around us
for but only those moments shared
we were ourselves
we were not some cold
heartless indestructible uncaring team
we felt love caring pain, emotion together
we knew each other in every way
we shared everything openly
At first we were different and were what they
thought we were
it was how we were that brought us together
but how we became that kept us together
The complications of everything happening
around us including our roles in it brought us apart
Like then, I choose to not bring
everything going on around us in
to taint our time spent together
I know not how you choose to remember things
but I choose to never forget
and to keep my promise
that we made to one another
I remember the day..

Remembering This Summer Of Mermaids
Walking along the beach
I'm lost in my thoughts
I'm lost in my memories
Just thinking about them all
I know summer's about over
But my thoughts continue to go over
what happened to me over this time
span
My thoughts also go back to special times
that I spent with many of them
Yes, to me
It was a summer of mermaids
The many times we shared
The friendship you all gave to me
It showed you all truly cared
I'll always remember those moments
in time
As we shared them on land and sea
The sun is starting to set
But you all, I'll never forget
Swimming somewhere or swimming
far away
I know you all will always remember
As I'll always remember you all
Remembering this summer of mermaids
I'll never forget it
As I know I was truly blessed

Much That I Remember About You
I remember you
I remember the first time I saw you
Looking up and there you were, an angel on earth
It occurred when I didn’t expect it, wasn’t looking
Seeing you and thinking that you were pretty
Seeing you and wondering why, afterwards, I
Remember you more now
I remember your voice
I remember the first time I heard and it enchanted me
Dulcet tones playing hypnotic music disguised as a woman’s voice
It happened in conversation, in the harmony of all you spoke
Hearing the coy happiness in the words we shared
Hearing the smile in your tone so that I
Remember your voice now
I remember your eyes
I remember the first time I became lost in them
How it was a time when our eyes met in more than just a glance
It happened in a moment, together with you
Seeing in your eyes more than just a casual interest
Seeing in your eyes myself and us which is why I
Remember your eyes now
I remember your skin
I remember the first time I felt the touch of your skin
When your fingertips brushed mine in flirting invitation
It flashed in a moment, skin to skin
Feeling the electricity of your touch, your skin against mine
Feeling the heat passing between us as I
Remember the feel of your skin now
I remember how you made me feel
I remember the first time I admitted to myself
What I felt for you was more than just friendship
It came in a moment, talking with you
Realizing that every thought of you made me smile
Realizing that each smile made me
Remember even more how you made me feel
I remember why I fell for you
I remember this all the time now
The memory comes in thoughts, your voice, your eyes
It happens in every moment these days, loving you
Knowing that what happened between us is a good beginning
Knowing that we could be much more always helps me
Remember constantly why I fell in love with you

Soon After Given They Forget
I could never say 'yes',
If my thoughts are 'no'.
Or welcome with a false smile.
If from that someone I wish to go!
I do not carry with me good diplomacy.
Not if within a constant realness breathes.
I choose to sleep peacefully at night.
Without planning who next I can deceive.
I could never say 'yes',
If my thoughts are 'no'.
Or welcome with a false smile.
If from that someone I wish to go!
I see so many pretend who they are not!
So many ask names of others,
They have no intentions to remember.
Or soon after given they forget.
And within seconds...
A name dropped is forgot!
IF I spend five minutes with someone new...
I will remember their name, telephone number...
Age and address too!
Especially if something shared between us,
Leaves us both impressed.
With a date that has been selected,
To get naked next!
Why waste time...
When lust and sex is on everyone's mind!
Even those who profess to be 'Christians'.
With more shared than prayer,
Being touched upon those pews.
I've seen this...
With an eye opener or two!

The First Bike
Do you remember
that your first bike
with all its magic,
had a smell?
Do you remember?
Do you remember
when you first saw it
and all your senses
went on full alert?
Do you remember?
Do you remember
how everything about it -
the scary learning,
Dad's careful teaching,
the moment he let go of the seat without telling you,
the first time you went out on your own,
all these filled a new world with magic,
Do you remember?
Do you remember
how you lived every moment
as a child?
Do you forget
how easily it's brought back?
Will you remember?

Memorable
I remember your eyes and your smile,
I remember the beauty of your face,
I remember where I thought about taking you,
I remember imagining that special place,
I remember how you would laugh
And bring your hand up to your lips,
I remember the gentle touch of your skin
When you touched me with your fingertips,
I remember how you held me close
When I asked you if I may have a dance,
I remember when we talked about
How we were brought together by chance
I remember when I would look up at you,
I remember how you would smile at me,
I remember how nervous I would get
Whenever it was you that I'd see,
I remember how our eyes would lock
And neither of our heads could turn away,
No, I can forget what I remember,
I'll remember it all until my dying day.

My Memories of Then
I remember moments far back in the deepness of my mind
Of past times, of you and me and a life that has been
I remember thoughts I use to have all throughout the night
When my world was about you, one that I have always knew
I remember knowing how you were the part that made me whole
The wings on my back now unusable, that let me flew
I remember then, why I no longer wanted the world's gold
Because I had you, making me feel like I'm important
I remember the days passing so quickly, now lost forever
That defined my youth, and the man that was forming
I remember those words always said and never stuttered
About the love we shared, the duality intertwining
I remember the clouds, the weather that was above us
The cold days in warmth, on a big bed we were lying
I remember the end, the memories now covered with dust
But everything I know about you is still perfectly fine
I still remember your face, and all that we've said and seen
How it came to be, and how it came to pass is all in my mind

Please Remember Me
As you go on living your life,
Please remember me.
All the times that we shared,
Please remember me.
Don't ever forget our first kiss,
Please remember me.
Don't ever forget the love we had,
Please remember me.
Remember the laughter
Remember the tears,
Please remember me.
All that I ask from you now,
Is to please remember me.

A moment missed
Remember when I asked you out?
And how you shed a tear.
Remember how I told you.
That I'd stay for all those years.
Remember our first kiss?
Under a moonlit sky.
Remember the fireworks.
That shone in your eyes.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember all the promises?
That we never seemed to keep.
Remember all the times.
I held you when you'd weep.
Remember all the walks we took?
On the beach at midnight.
Remember when we were perfect?
And everything felt right.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember that rose I sent you?
For our schools winter dance.
Remember when we broke up?
And I begged for a second chance.
Remember when you got pregant.
And I stayed right by your side.
Remember how I bought that ring?
And took your hand in mine.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember when I became a dad?
And held my baby girl.
Remember how we fought for names.
And ended up with Pearl.
Remember her first birthday?
And that pretty teddy bear.
Remember her old blankie?
That she carried everywhere.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember how you left me?
With not a word goodbye.
Remember how you took her?
And left me there to die.
Remember all those years?
That you spent far away.
Remember our dying love?
That was ment to always stay.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember the years after?
When you became a whore.
Remember how you took off?
And walked through that same door.
Remember when you got drunk?
And they took our Pearl away.
Remember how I took the fall.
Even though you were too blame.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember how you changed?
And forgot what use to be.
Remember how you hit her?
When our girl had just turned three.
Remember all those moments?
That we thought would last forever.
Remember all our memories?
That we had shared together.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember when you lost your future?
And chose to slice your wrists.
Remember the note you sent me?
Saying please remember this.
Today it's three years later.
And our baby's turning five.
Today she has no mommy.
Because you chose to die.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.

Back Home Years Ago
Summer of love came and it went
We played with our lives before they were spent
We were young and unafraid
So alive together
We gave ourselves to giving in
And separated from within
Our only fear was growing old
We swore that we would never
And I remember how it used to be
Oh I remember you were here with me
Summer of love came and was gone
cause we lifted up and tried to hold on
To memories of what we were
The times we shared were golden
And I remember how it used to be
Oh I remember you were here with me
I remember cold novembers
And when we used to laugh together
And I remember you
Here in my life
You were always
Here in my arms
You were always
Here in my heart
Those days are still alive
I remember cold novembers
And when we used to laugh together
And I remember
And I remember you
And I remember you

I'll Remember You
It's funny how time slips away
On those long summer nights,
I had sat down at my balcony,
I had gazed at the stars,
I had cried all night,
I had cried tears` of 'Good -bye': But
I had to keep on going without your love
Living my life the way I choose to
Discovering the things that are left for me to do
Doing the things that I love
Let there be light
Don't give excuses
Don't wait for answers
Don't wait for tomorrow
Don't ask me why
No need to be angry anymore
No need to wait anymore
For this special day, special hour,
No need to fight, just follow him, because
The Lord has come to set you free
The Lord has come to take you home
A place with no more pain and sorrows
Where you will find comfort and peace
Maybe someday, you will meet me again
A time has come to say” Good-bye'
I'll remember you in my dreams
I'll remember you in my sleep
I'll remember you each day and every hour of the day
I'll remember you for all the good things you have done for me
I'll remember you for the special time we spent together.
I'll remember you in my prayers
I'll remember you for the kind of person you were
I'll remember you every night
I'll remember you for your special smiles and laughter
I'll remember you

Get It Back
Remember when
It all began
We were all in love
Then came the friends
Telling you when your time for me
Was good enough
I constantly had to compete
With you crew and their schemes
Remembering
Back in the day I used to mean everything
If we could just get it back
(to the way it used to be)
My only wish would be that
(nothing would change with you and me)
I remember how it was
(and I know that for a fact)
We were oh so deep in love
(if we could just get it back)
Now tell me why
All of them nights
You had so much to go
When you said bye
Sometimes I tried, I tried
To make you choose
Now tell me how you can allow
You boys to control the time
We shared it was unfair
But now its time for you to know
(now if I told you)
That Im moving on
(boy what would you do)
Things just aint the same
(we were supposed to)
Conquer everything, yeah
(boy let me tell you)
Youre got to make a change
If we could just get it back
(to the way it used to be)
My only wish would be that
(nothing would change with you and me)
I remember how it was
(and I know that for a fact)
We were oh so deep in love
(if we could just get it back)
If we could just get it back
(to the way it used to be)
My only wish would be that
(nothing would change with you and me)
I remember how it was
(and I know that for a fact)
We were oh so deep in love
(if we could just get it back)
(do you rememebr)
The way you used to love
You would kiss and hug me
(I rememebr)
U havent lately
(do you remember)
All the things you gave me
Everywhere youd take me
(cant you see that)
I really really need you back
If we could just get it back
(to the way it used to be)
My only wish would be that
(nothing would change with you and me)
I remember how it was
(and I know that for a fact)
We were oh so deep in love
(if we could just get it back)

Remember When
Remember when I was young and so were you
And time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried
Remember when
Remember when we vowed the vows
and walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt
Remember when
Remember when old ones died and new were born
And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged
We came together, fell apart
And broke each other's hearts
Remember when
Remember when the sound of little feet
was the music
We danced to week to week
Brought back the love, we found trust
Vowed we'd never give it up
Remember when
Remember when thirty seemed so old
Now lookin' back, it's just a steppin' stone
To where we are,
where we've been
Said we'd do it all again
Remember when
Remember when we said when we turned gray
When the children grow up and move away
We won't be sad, we'll be glad
For all the life we've had
And we'll remember when
Remember when
Remember when

I Remember You
I remember you
I remember me
I remember
I remember how things used to be
I remember every word that you said
I remember, how could I forget
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember you
I remember your old address
And I remember
How could I forget
I remember thinking how my luck changed
I remember being so amazed
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember you
I remember me
I remember
The way things used to be
I remember how it was that we met
I remember, I will never forget
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you

Remember
I remember moments of happiness
Coming home, goo goo eyed
After talking to a boy I liked
I remember moments of sadness
Coming home, teary eyed
After leaving my heart as a memento
To that boy I really liked
I remember moments of peace
After winning one of life's battles
Having a conscience the weight of air
I remember moments of bliss
After walking the quarter of a lifemile
Finding a true friend
I remember moments of grief
After finding that dear friend
Would never have breakfast again
I remember moments of laughter
After the past had past
And the rearview revealed frustration's
humor
I remember moments of tears nectar
When I found my dreams dead
After the doctor helped me number my
days
I remember moments of pain
When all I ever needed was lacked
And all I ever lacked was needed
I remember moments of gain
After all I ever wanted was mine
And all I ever wanted to be was I
I remember moments of love
When a hug made my heart skip
And a smile made my life smile
I remember moments of hurt
When pain blurred love's beauty
And that hug made my heart shrug
I remember moments like this
When I remember all I remember
And remember that life is but a moment.

Remember Me With Love
If one day you should go away
I know you say youll always stay
Oh, but life takes funny turns at times
And has a way of changing minds
Though I could never be your friend
To me the end would be the end
But weve shared so much happiness, just remember
I know you tell me every day
Youll love me till the end of time
I tell it to you just in case
Someday you are no longer mine
Theres just one thing Ill ask of you
Since both of us have much to lose
For all the things weve made it through
Just remember, please remember
(chorus)
Remember me with love baby, remember me with love
No matter where or when, if you think of me again
Remember me with love
Remember me with love baby, remember me with love
I know you care for me, but if one day you set me free
Remember me with love
(verse 2)
Seems like everywhere I turn
Somebody else is breaking up
I know as far as Im concerned
With you Ill always be in love
But if one day you feel differently
All you have to do is come to me
I will let you go so easily, but remember, please remember
Repeat chorus
