The sweating forehead puzzles me now

and keep up conversations, befuddles me.
What are these feelings
that come knocking in the middle of a sweaty dream,
come so suddenly that they scare me
and bind me in hours of fruitless apprehensions.
should I believe what they tell me?
That I love you and you do too

Trust in man was lost today
Trust in man that is never quite regained
