Nothing Like A Rainbow
There’s nothing like a rainbow,
It takes you by surprise,
When rain makes way for sunshine,
It brightens up the skies.
The forming of a pattern,
So gentle on the eye,
A magical creation,
Superseding stormy sky.
It forms a pretty picture,
For all eyes to behold,
And leaves us all to wonder,
Could there be a pot of gold?
There’s nothing like a rainbow,
To bring colour to the view,
Unless, of course, you’re fortunate,
And catch a glimpse of two.

The Double Rainbow
Once I saw a rainbow
Over the ocean blue
Encompassed by a shadow
Of every color and hue.
It was a double rainbow
Most beautiful to see
and underneath the rainbow
Were two sails upon the sea.
I think it was God's message
Quite old, and get still new
It takes both rain and sunshine
To make the lovely view.
As we go along life's highway
A lot of rain must fall.
But we can find the rainbow
When the sun shines over all.
So, if you feel discouraged
And don't know what to do
Just trust for God's own sunshine
To bring a rainbow over you.

Rainbows
I once travelled to the West of Scotland, to the town of Ayr,
And the most magnificent rainbow, I remember seeing there.
The rain was still pouring down, but the sun was shining bright;
These two factors mixed together, created a most magical sight.
The sight of such beauty, made me catch my breath,
But, I knew that, soon, the rainbow would die a death.
All too soon, after the rainbow had, into the sky, evolved,
Than it disappeared, back into the clouds, and dissolved.
The arc of vibrant colours, which I’d seen there before,
Faded away, leaving the sky, dull and grey, once more.
A multicoloured rainbow, I really do love to see;
It is one of those ‘wow! ’ moments in life, for me.
From the rainbow, I found it hard to steal my eyes away;
It helped to brighten up, what was really a miserable day.
It’s still a mystery where rainbows start and end:
I still don’t know the answer: do you, my friend?
Any rainbow which, by me, is sighted,
Makes my soul awake and feel excited.
Upon my face, there appears a bright smile,
As I watch the arc stretch away, over the miles.
I wish a rainbow was tangible: something I could hold.
Rainbows are always fresh and new: they never get old.
I’m always amazed how each individual colour is so clear.
A rainbow is a rare sight, which never ceases to bring cheer.

Catch a Rainbow
On one side the Sun is shinning bright
And on the other side clouds are pouring rain in daylight
I wonder what it's going to be like
And then to my surprise
I see seven colours that I can recognise! !
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet! !
All the beautiful colours it reflects.
A Rainbow is arch of light,
And it gives us all insight.
A Rainbow is Spectrum of colours,
And it gives us great Honors.
A Rainbow is a positive energy,
And it gives our life a good synergy.
A Rainbow is a symbol of Peace and Harmony,
And it gives life a meaning and symphony.
A Rainbow is a complete Circle,
And it gives us a chance to believe in miracles.
I wish I had Wings to fly high,
Up in the open sky,
To be bold and catch the pot of gold,
To catch the Rainbow and see if the mystery unfolds! !

Hello, Rainbow!
Rainbow, Rainbow
that was her nickname.
A name she had obtained,
for all the colors she'd appreciate.
Rainbow, Rainbow
that was her calling
to come out in style to show the worlds vibrant.
Rainbow, Rainbow
they laughed at her colors
said she was different
not normal like others.
Rainbow, Rainbow
they took her as a joke.
Just a mere girl looking for attention you know?
Rainbow, Rainbow
lover of rain
not a care in the world of what other people say.
Rainbow, Rainbow
she started too change
The world saw her brightly
now shes all black and grey.
Rainbow, Rainbow
why goes this way.
We've all secretly loved you.
So why not stay the same!
Rainbow, Rainbow
you bring us joy
You shed light too our day.
So go back to your ways
Rainbow, Rainbow
we appreciate your love!
We see differently now
so stay who you are.
Rainbow, Rainbow!
That's who I am.
A girl of 14
who is oddly at best.
Rainbow, Rainbow!
Everyone calls me that.
I'm just a use for you all
, but i don't mind that.
Rainbow, Rainbow
A mirror image I am.
A reflection of colors
that most people don't understand.
Rainbow, Rainbow
you called my name?
Why hello I'm here.
To shed light to your day

The Rainbow's Gold
They told me with each Rainbow
I'd find a pot of gold,
And I had never proved it,
But that's what I was told.
I watched for every Rainbow
To arc across the sky,
And then I'd run to find it
And 'Goldless' I would cry.
But one day, in my mail box,
There came a nice surprise...
A magazine, called 'Rainbow'
Right there before my eyes.
I looked into the 'Rainbow',
And just as I was told,
Right there within the pages,
I found my pot of gold.

Rainbow On A Morning
Thanks Dark - for the nightmares!
Rain bleeding all over me,
Like swarms of needling gnats
God what a night!
I parted the curtains of my ragged tent-
My little hellhole
A single crepuscular ray
Sneaked through a small rent in the filth
Of crawling clouds
I stared cynically
But yep! I admit, the rain was dying down-
My canvas yammered less
Was Nature having a tea break?
Another ray, fewer drops, lifting hope:
A winning sun!
A bird told the story on her flight;
Even she was looking over at the prism-
The over-arching schism through the gloom
Uplifted, upstanding, I even smiled;
When Nature turns and shows Her brighter side-
The one with rainbows on a morning
Dusted with a fine sprinkle of rain-
Then She has reminded us:
Catch Her at Her best

My Rainbow Baby
MY RAINBOW BABY
MY RAINBOW BABY
I will know when you forgive, it will be plain to see,
it will show in your smile and the way you talk to me,
baby please don't be so hard, you know you are the one,
that you are are my moon and stars and my shining sun,
yes, you are my rainbow after a pouring rain,
the kind that goes from ground to ground, when the sun comes out again,
and when I catch that rainbow, to keep, to have, to hold,
I know that I will find you there, you are my pot of gold,
so baby take away those dark clouds, that float across your mind,
and think about the sunshine, that we both are sure to find.,
when your sun comes out again, and drives those clouds away,
I promise you forevermore, to give you sunshine everyday,
when the rain clouds come again, just to give the ground a drink,
there wont be any pain, we'll be happy, don't you think,
so look outside your window, and tell me what you see,
is it a bright rainbow? , there for both you and me?

The Sky & The rainbow
The Rainbow & the sky
We all think that the rainbow has a lot
Of colours..but it's a fault idea
because the rainbow has only
One colour is the sky
and the sky has to on colour
is the promise
We All promise to each other
in front of the sky that we will Always
will be together
we run under the sky
we smile under her clouds
we love under his rain
we fly with her &
we choose our way in the rainbow
so come on chosse your colour
Choose your way and feel the colours

One Leaf Minus a Thousand
Why is it so difficult
when looking at, say, a leaf,
without the imprint
of thousands of other leaves
distorting the view?
To be able to observe something
as we did the first time
we set eyes upon it,
when we were
also as fresh and new
as spring buds:
ah, now that would be
a noteworthy event.
If only we had known
back then the gravity,
the urgency of that first glimpse
of a rainbow, or even the reflection
of a rainbow in a still pond,
might we have written
better poems,
lived richer lives?

Rainbow Expressions
Hazy and misty sky turns (into) bright
Sun shines faintly in the rain ere long
Lovely girl’s lovely eyes
Twinkle with amazement
Beholding the colorful rainbow in the sky
The swaying boughs and woods get in the way
Of the view of the pretty bow in the sky
Wishes the lovely sevenfold be watched
Amply out in near vicinity
Wishes the rain be suspended soon, she prays
Slumbers the rain as sudden
As her prayers are answered by her Lord
By leaps and bounds the little girl nips out
Of her confines joyfully to see her rainbow
But, Stands she still! Looking up the sky
And numb with shock! Give herself
Up to a feeling of utter despair
And she realizes unto
Her pretty rainbow is no more there and
It faded away with the rain.

Chasing '' Your Rainbow '' ~~
A rainbow does not stay too long,
for everyone to see. So I hurry to
the end of it, to what awaits for me.
~
At the end of my rainbow, I believed
the story true. I'd find all the treasure
I could ever long for. Not gold, nor
jewels, but you!
~
I needed not, a pot of gold. It can't keep me
warm, when nights grow cold. I need
your love '' the only thing ''. 'Tis a treasure
that gold could never bring.
~
So hurry chase '' your rainbow ''! Don't wait
til it' too late on on your next rainy day. The
happiness that you may seek, could quickly
fade away.
~
Now each time I see a rainbow arched across
the velvet skies. I think of you and our love so
true, as these colours pass mine eye's.

Pick a pink flower, a shy pink flower
and shower on me, shower on me
Hey rainbow shower, I m lost in a hey
Sprinkle the purple orchids n roses
and take me to the bay, oh rainbow shower...
just flower on me, flower on me..
Hey rainbow shower, drench me with colors

JAZZ and RAINBOWS
What is Jazz - What is a Rainbow?
You can ask the questions - don't expect answers
Jazz is free and yet constrained
Rainbows come and go as they please
Jazz is wild and yet restrained
Rainbow can't exist without rain
Jazz is open and yet contained
Rainbows always have red at the top
Jazz is unscored and yet maintained
Rainbows can be single - double - triple
Just as Jango Rheinhardt said to Segovia
Senor it ees all in ze 'ed
The same is true of rainbows
Zey are all inside my 'ed!
It takes all the colours of pure white sound
To create jazz.
It takes all the colours of pure white light
To create a rainbow.
Jazz and rainbows operate on the same principle
In jazz the tone colours are separated by the players
In a rainbow the visible colours are separated by a raindrop
Jazz and rainbows are boh equally beautiful.
After the rain there are stll some drops in the atmosphere
They refract the white light into R O Y G B I V,
In the same way the 'Jazz Combo' is able to dissect.
The white sound of music is disected by the musicains
On a sunny day - the white light hits the raindrop
The colours are dispersed forming the rainbow.
In jazz - each member if the Combo has a colour!
The double bass has red - the saxaphone is orange!
The percussion is yellow - the brass is green
The clarinet is blue - trhe banjo is indigo
The guitar is violet and the piano is striped!
The combo plays and whiite sound is re-produced.
Because we are humans our senses of life are acute.
Our eyes for colour and our ears for sound.
The quality of this provision enables us to distinguish colour
And to distinguish between all the tones and semi-tones.
So next time you see a rainbow - think jazz
And the rainbow will dance for you
Next time you hear some jazzy jazz - think rainbow
And the tone colours of the jazz will spring out at you.

Rainbow of Fall
Tumbling in the leaves, falling
so free, the leaves soften the fall,
laughter rings throughout the
Heaven's as Mother nature makes
her call.
The orange, red, bronze, burgundy
and brown, a colorful rainbow falling
softly to the ground. A day of smiles
as the children jump so playfully
in the rainbow pile.
The fall winds blowing the colors
all around, children chaing the rainbow,
trying to catch it before it lands
ever so gently on the changing
ground.
Crunching leaves underneath their
little feet, running through the
cool fall air, no worries no cares. Boys
and girls playing among Mother Natures
call, her beauty found within their
hearts, as they welcome the new Fall.
The leaves will stay awhile and dance
upon their eyes, as the winds will
them to the Fall ballet, they will
together dance unto the sky.
Knowing Fall will soon bring Winters
chill, still from her gentleness, their
little hearts will be fulfilled. Their rainbow
will soon disappear, the snow will come, as
they await their rainbow of Fall next
year.

The Rainbow & The Sunset
Can you picture a painting of a rainbow beginning to shine.
Can you picture a sunset that's ready but not yet defined.
I can picture the rainbow and the pot of gold at the end,
I can picture the sunset and the many more to begin.
These are the simple things in life,
These at the things that are ment to be.
No one prepares you for the truth.
No one prepares you for the unfair things.
That on the other side of that rainbow dreams don't always come true.
And that you may find a bit of beauty in that sunset by the sea,
Or you may find a hard earned miracle in that rainbow made by we.
But the truth of it all is, is that the rainbow doesn't last.
And that sooner or later the sunset will pass.
And we must realize that life is not a sunset or a rainbow made by we.
That for some reason or another,
Fate is what is and fate is what was meant to be.

Rainbow like our life
Rainbow like our life
Rainbow, rainbow, rainbow is in the sky.
Children were clapping & jumping with joy.
I also heard the roar and saw
the wonder of seven colour’s rainbow in the sky.
It was glowing & was giving coolness to our eyes.
Suddenly it was disappeared from the sky and
then I realize that the rainbow is like
the life of a human-being.
It’s colours are like the colours of our life.
Colours of life as joy, sadness,
Kindness, honesty, attraction, haterdness & love
are as the seven colours of a rainbow
And I realize that rainbow is just
like the life of a human being.

Rainbow Of Hope
They fii the sky with their beauty,
after some rain showers with the sun out.
Their colors flashed acoss the sky
to show everyone that they are here
with no end in sight it leaves you wondering
where the rainbow comes to an end.
and if you could really find your pot
of gold at the end of the rainbow
but your pot of gold can be found from within
you no matter what it seems to be! !

Play with Rainbow
Play with Rainbow, wear the Rainbow
Ride the Rainbow high and low
Spread the color of Rainbow wherever you go
Paint with Rainbow, create a magnificent show
Share Rainbow with neighbor, family and friend
Give the needy a helping hand, reach out and extend
Dance with Rainbow, sing with Rainbow
Let the Rainbow shine through
Rainbow comes from Sun Shine and rain seven colors true
It paints the sky with seven colors and dazzling hue
It bridges the Earth and the beyond for a short moment
Arched, end to end, never changes, same as past and present
I wonder if there is Rainbow in the other world
Where we go when we pass on
Is there day, night or dawn
What is a Rainbow, how it is born

About The Rainbow
need i explain to you
again that the rainbow is the biggest
lie of the rain,
when light gets in
and when the sun reigns
the rainbow
is nothing.
it is the rain that gives the sorrow
and to compensate
it gives you the rainbow.
i have been at its feet,
the rumored pot of gold does not exist at all.

The Rainbow's Promise
After the rain has stopped pouring,
and the thunder has stopped its growling.
Dark clouds with drops of water suspended,
makes in the sky an arch of 7 mist colored.
Rainbows are visible after stormy weather,
a time when things look sadder.
From the darkest gray clouds in the skies,
does a rainbow burst forth we all know why.
They say the rainbow was sent for Noah.
A promise that God's words would remain
The rainbow's message carved for infinity,
made to all mankind by God Almighty.
The rainbow is a sign of this promise,
that he will guide us through the storms of life.
Provided we have faith in Him always,
and face stoically what comes in life's difficult pathways.
