Not A Dancer

I never learned the steps
to this particular dance
I am a wallflower-
watching.
Curious how
the couples waltz
some effortlessly gliding,
graceful in the other's arms
missing a beat now and then,
but still
beautiful.
Others
are desperate in their movements,
stepping on toes
fumbling around
wearing painted smiles
as beads of sweat gather.
Such hard work
this dance can be
On the rare occasion
I am asked to dance,
it's always the same.
For a fleeting moment,
I feel as though
my heart will grow wings
and soar.
But soon, I stumble
fall
and crawl off of the dance floor shamefully,
licking my wounds.
Back to cowering in my corner
watching.
All the while wondering
if maybe I was never meant
to dance at all.

When I dance

I dance for me,
Silent vibrations from within
Rhythm of the unseen,

I dance for me.
My steps follow their direction,
My heart-beat echoes their sound.

Some say I dance weird: they call me possessed.

If I dance raw, if I dance pure,
If I dance whirlwind, if I dance the spirits within,
No matter what them say,

I'll Dance Alone

Discord on the dance floor
We're stepping on toes
No rhythm of movement
Like deadly foes
Trapped on the dance floor
Forced to entwine
Whirling and dizzy
As if drunk on wine

This dance is not fun
Don't want to go on
Need some fresh air
Just want to run
Be gone from this place
Away from this dancer
I'll dance alone
Don't want a partner

Spinning so hard
Twisting my ankles
Still we go on
Nerves are all jangled
Now I have fallen
Flat on the floor
I look up - he's laughing
I limp to the door

Now I've escaped
I've left that mad dance
Can breathe again - laugh again
It's my second chance;

Dance, Dance Everywhere!

Dance, Dance Dance
everywhere,
When I look at the sky,
I see the clouds dance
Into steps of winds
My heart dance when I watch clouds dance!
How it can make me dance?

Without any tune or beats,
Its own beats me my heart dance.
Some strange tune it sings in silence and dance!

When I see at shore of ocean waves that dance,
Some birds in sky fly and dance,
On the waves boats that to the tune of waves, dance,

My mind sing lyricless
music to which it dance!

When I walk along the beach,
The headless crown of palm trees with wide open hands dance,
Watching them dance trees start their dance!

When I on countryside, green paddy fields dance,
Looking at them, the bird on the branch dance!

When walk along, trees with fruits dance,
And to its own rustling music, leaves dance!

When I walk in the park,
Plants with flowers dance!
Looking at the graceful dance flowerless dance,

When I move on street, hope and hap dance,
Seeing at them even hopeless an hapless to dance!
Smile on faces with hope dance,
Wrinkles on the forehead of hapless dance!

When I look at people in them mind dance,
In some happiness dance,
In some sorrowfulness dance,

Some I found with desperation dance
In some their laziness dance,
In some saintliness dance,
Most of the time wickedness dance,
And in some other dreams that dance!

Success that dance with some,
Distress that in unsuccessful dance,

In some hearts mercy that dance
Together with love and kindness dance!

Some where cookedness dance,
And some where innocence dance,

In every nation either hunger dance,
Or in people's mind anger that dance,

Either corruption in corrupt mind dance,
Or those systems on the heart of people dance!

It is time for my soulful dance,
If you see somewhere some other type of dance

Watching In Total Delight

I wish I could dance like the young people in
the program “So You Think You Can Dance”
when dancing aspirants are sent to Las Vegas
to master all forms of dance and be voted
upon by the masses

Totally dedicated, mastering two new dances
within the space of a week – while I lose my
rhythm completely just trying to gyrate on a
dance floor, reduced to the status of a spec-
tator for evermore…

Nothing can stop me from dreaming, when the
heroine steps onto the floor, I can visualize my-
self in her guise, imagining it it is me gliding
about on the dance floor while my beloved is
watching in total delight…
