Nephalim Oracle

A cosmic clash of epic force
Split Tiamet like brittle thread
Nibiru hugged its distant course
Propelling moons to gnaw and shred

Kingu marveled at what was formed
Asteroids shed from that vast orb
The watery giant was transformed
Leveling as third to absorb

Many long elliptic passes
Tugged Nibiru over ages
Until those once noble gasses
Failed to impede starlight rages

Over this time the shard revolved
Taking shape as the oceans churned
The sun ensured the rock evolved
Microbes cracked until life returned

Expelled from the Nibiru throne
Alalu jumped to explore Earth
While he ventured the slice alone
He found metal of precious worth

At last the solution was found
To save them from the harsh daylight
Fragments of gold if spread around
Would shelter Nibiru’s grave plight

The new king Anu sent his son
To work his wisdom to flourish
Igigi ships loped as they spun
While miners jabbed deep to nourish

The Anunnaki soon rebelled
Their fate of hellish work and toil
A plan was hatched to force them quelled
New primitives should pull the coil

Enki tripped the genetic gun
Splicing the double helix code
Our ancient line had just begun
Demanding that we haul their load

At last the life goddesses tired
Of the chore of birthing the clones
Genetic changes were required
To allow our own labor moans

The Igigi succumbed to lust
Swooping down to mate with the slaves
Enlil pondered their breach of trust
This threat shall be deluged by waves

Graciously Enki warned one man
To gather the seeds of all life
Nibiru yanked our fragile span
Tossing the seas with driving strife

Once the flood waters receded
Kingship descended from the stars
Eager gods learned we were needed
Sinai rebuilt upon the scars

Marduk groaned with greedy power
Seeking to build a rival port
Enlil grasped this Babel tower
Condemning them in holy court

The gate of god was crushed outright
Striking our enlightenment down
Forcing Marduk to flee from sight
Till he seized his Egyptian crown

Sinai hungered the jealous god
With hopes to steal the path to space
So they launched a fatal petard
Baalbek wiped out without a trace

At last the minions awaken
To crush the repression they face
Amen-Ra remains unshaken
Even by our haste to erase

Nibiru

(Sumerian Mythology)

Tenth planet in our solar system
As yet, unseen and undiscovered
Its King Marduk wore a diadem
Came eons ago to Earth ‘n conquered

His warriors found earth women fair
Quickly enslaved for work earth men
They mined gold ore to their despair
While women gave birth to “Nephilim”

Giants, who then claimed control
Over all creatures on land ‘n sea
Dominion over Earth, their goal
Committed waste, acted despicably

Lustily, bred with animals ‘n plants
Throwing the Earth off balance
Usurped Marduk’s deeds ‘n grants
Created they an evil circumstance

Mother Earth finally said “No more”
She unleashed a flood of raging water
All died, but a few after downpour
Gone…the wicked sons ‘n daughters

Time passed, waters did recede
Survivors finally found dry land
Once settled they began to breed
“Starseed” babes born unplanned

A quantum leap for humankind
Obtained through blundered DNA
Stronger bodies and better minds
Unplanned gift from ET’s gone astray

according to NASA have multiple suns

bright stellar fires of smaller suns
some not much bigger than Jupiter
most common suns brown dwarfs

12 to 80 times Jupiter’s size brown dwarfs
found floating freely in interstellar space
also proliferate as binary star companions

is our Sol our sun really a singular solar system?
remember over 80% are binary solar systems
is it possible earth’s sun is a binary solar system?

accepted theory our Sun formed as a singular star
with a uniform proto-planetary disk yet evidence
from outer solar system is far more complicated

the Sun formed as part of a wide binary system?
the smaller partner of which is a sub-brown dwarf?
the early solar system two spinning gaseous clumps?

Psalm 114

Miracles attending Israel's journey.

When Isr'el, freed from Pharaoh's hand,
Left the proud tyrant and his land,
The tribes with cheerful homage own
Their King, and Judah was his throne.

Across the deep their journey lay;
The deep divides to make them way;
Jordan beheld their march, and fled
With backward current to his head.

The mountains shook like frighted sheep,
Like lambs the little hillocks leap;
Not Sinai on her base could stand,
Conscious of sovereign power at hand.

What power could make the deep divide?
Make Jordan backward roll his tide?
Why did ye leap, ye little hills?
And whence the fright that Sinai feels?

Let every mountain, every flood,
Retire and know th' approaching God,
The King of Isr'el: see him here;
Tremble, thou earth, adore and fear.

He thunders, and all nature mourns;
The rock to standing pools he turns;
Flints spring with fountains at his word,
And fires and seas confess the Lord.

The Creation Of God's Universe

Before the gifts of space and time, before eternity,
The living God, awesome, sublime, chose how such things would be.
From power such as can't be known by any mortal man,
Came forth foundations strong as stone in God's triumphant plan.
The Universe was like a seed that grows into a tree,
And on God's grace was pleased to feed, expanding gracefully...
It prospered in the dark expanse, the void from whence it came,
As if arising from a trance, its brand new life to claim.
The planets and the stars and moons and gaseous clouds transformed.
Beyond the stars came soulful tunes and so God's heart was warmed.
Yet life awaited in the wings, as if the centrepiece,
Thus angels were God's underlings, with lives that never cease.
When planet Earth was realised, from thoughts God chose to share,
New life was made and crystalised, with wonders everywhere!
The lands and seas and skies above were blessed by God's embrace
And as God gazed from up above, He stared upon His face...
The ocean like a mirror showed the smile that He portrayed,
Amid the face of light that glowed with pride at all He'd made.
Then God made symbols of that smile when Adam first met Eve,
Yet chose to leave them for a while, their freewill to receive.
From that day on, sin entered in, but God shared prophecy!
A great redeemer would yet win... Christ did at Calvary!
The Big Bang was the hammerblow, the first nail to force down,
Which forced His holy blood to flow, more so than just His crown.
Yet God had promised to His Son, He'd raise Him from the dead!
And so, when death was truly done, God healed the blood He shed.
If God can do so much for Man, forgiving all our sins,
It's obvious He's got a plan, yet here all life begins...
What use is it to live and die as lost souls yet unsaved?
Reflect on this and ask God why in Christ our sins are waived.
The Universe, for all it's worth, can't praise God like we do!
That's why Lord Jesus came to Earth... To die for me and you...

Crush On You

You found out
Kick it

You found out i've got a crush on you

You must have heard it from my best friend
She's always talking when she should be listening
Can't keep a secret to save her life
But still I trusted her with all I had inside
I never knew a rumour could spread so fast
But now the word is out all over town
That i'm longing for you

How did you know cos I never told
You found out i've got a crush on you
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out i've got a crush on you

Maybe I was the one who left a trace
Was there a message written on my face
Were my emotions so easily read
That you could know my thoughts before a word was said
Was it my eyes that let you know I had control
Because the way you moved was so self-assured
You knew I would surrender

How did you know cos I never told
You found out i've got a crush on you
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out i've got a crush on you

Kick it
One time
Get it up
Get down

How did you know cos I never told
You found out
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out

How did you know cos I never told
You found out i've got a crush on you
No more charades my heart's been displayed
You found out i've got a crush on you

From techno seeds we first planted
Evolved a mind of its own
Marching in the streets
Dragging iron feet
Laser beaming hearts
Ripping men apart
From off Ive seen my perfection
Where we could do as we please
In secrecy this infection
Was spreading like a disease
Hiding underground
Knowing wed be found
Fearing for our lives
Reaped by robots scythes
Metal gods
Metal gods

Metal gods
Metal gods
Machines are taking all over
With mankind in their command
In time theyd like to discover
How they can make their demand
Better be the slaves
To their wicked ways
But meeting with our death
Engulfed in molten breath

Psalm XXXIII: Rejoice, Ye Righteous

Rejoice, ye righteous, in the Lord,
This work belongs to you;
Sing of his name, his ways, his word,
How holy, just, and true.

His mercy and his righteousness
Let heav'n and earth proclaim;
His works of nature and of grace
Reveal his wondrous name.

His wisdom and almighty word
The heav'nly arches spread,
And by the Spirit of the Lord
Their shining hosts were made.

He bid the liquid waters flow
To their appointed deep;
The flowing seas their limits know
And their own station keep.

Ye tenants of the spacious earth,
With fear before him stand;
He spake, and nature took its birth,
And rests on his command.

He scorns the angry nations' rage,
And breaks their vain designs;
His counsel stands through ev'ry age,
And in full glory shines.

Blessed is the nation where the Lord
Hath fixed his gracious throne,
Where he reveals his heav'nly word,
And calls their tribes his own.

His eye with infinite survey
Does the whole world behold;
He formed us all of equal clay,
And knows our feeble mould.

Kings are not rescued by the force
Of armies from the grave;
Nor speed nor courage of a horse
Can the bold rider save.

Vain is the strength of beasts or men,
To hope for safety thence;
But holy souls from God obtain
A strong and sure defense.

God is their fear, and God their trust;
When plagues or famine spread,
His watchful eye secures the just
Among ten thousand dead.

Lord, let our hearts in thee rejoice,
And bless us from thy throne;
For we have made thy word our choice,
And trust thy grace alone.

Boats To Build

It's time for a change
I'm tired of that same ol' same
The same ol' words the same ol' lines
The same ol' tricks and the same ol' rhymes
Days precious days
Roll in and out like waves
I got boards to bend I got planks to nail
I got charts to make I got seas to sail
I'm gonna build me a boat
With these two hands
It'll be a fair curve
From a noble plan
Let the chips fall where they will
Cause I've got boats to build
Sails are just like wings
The wind can make 'em sing
Songs of life songs of hope
Songs to keep your dreams afloat
I'm gonna build me a boat
With these two hands
It'll be a fair curve
From a noble plan
Let the chips fall where they will
Cause I've got boats to build
Shores distant shores
There's where I'm headed for
Got the stars to guide my way
Sail into the light of day
I'm gonna build me a boat
With these two hands
It'll be a fair curve
From a noble plan
Let the chips fall where they will

The Earth Speaks

I am the Earth, your mother
and you are my children.

I am from
the cosmic dust
of a thousand, billion, trillion stars;
conceived in tumult,
I’ve endured millions asteroid hits
and cataclysmic comet shots.

Hot lava flowed over my face
volcanic steam;
my body seethed
for millions of years;
titanic explosions
my insides
blew up;
where time and time again,
asteroids destroyed all my life.
but I started again;
renewed it.

Relentless,
I have created
beautiful blue oceans
continents, and wood
greens, and life, life
everywhere.

I took from the seas
my tiniest amino
bits
and created life;
one cell first,
then colonies
and then whole beings,
you;

I nurtured these small creatures,

your brothers and sisters.

I also gave you the moon
for silver nights,
the stars for inspiration
a magnetic shield
to protect your from the burning rays of the sun;

I gave you food, trees and animals
so that you might thrive.

You are all my children
whom I have reared in paradise;
in a world of plenty.

I took you from the caves
and showed you fire
sacrificed my own wood trees
so that you might eat your food
gave you animal skins
of my own creations
to shelter you from winter.

Gave you water.

I showed you the beauty of the stars.
and too alas too
a brain big enough to study war.

And you did discover war;
you discovered hate;

you took my abundance
and transformed it
into destruction.

My forests now burn
ignited by your hand;
you have rent my face with mining scars
and quarries;
polluted my rivers and oceans
for beads and baubles;
and fleeting shiny things
for your amusements
and then you threw them away;
whole pollution mountains created.

There seems no retreat from you
and the relentlessness
with which you pursue
all this
for reasons
I do not fathom
my canopy ages.

Hear me my children;
my fate is entrapped
with yours,
whether you live
is whether I live,

what you do
can destroy my oceans
and life itself.

I will return to being a cold rocky world
in the rushing void;
my blues
will become grey
and then black.

Hear me my children
for we are family.

Destiny the Driving Force

Destiny is controlled by the mighty gods.
It swirls like a massive whirl pool.
No mortal being can escape it's hold.
Destiny controls our every action.

Destiny makes sure we take the right path in life.
Without a person taking a desired path the universe will go out of balance.
Balance of fate is essential.
The thread of destiny is so tangled that's why destiny is so uncontrollable by mortals.

Destiny goes around and around.
It never stops swirling.
Such an active force.

Mortal beings can't control what happens to them.
If it's negative or positive.
Destiny and fate are the same thing.
They intertwine when two people are in love.

Destiny carries people to their purposes in life.
It's a driving force.
Scientist can't figure it out.
It's the most complex thing second to the universe.

The Sleep of Ages

O how I long to sleep the sleep of ages,
To slumber deep in cold Egyptian tombs,
In cobweb-covered catacombs and cages,
Encased by dust and musty old mushrooms!

My lonely, jaded soul I'll trade to Time,
With fragments of my faded hopes and dreams,
Exchanging them for something more sublime-
A toothless skull to hold my folded schemes!

And outside life still rumbles, roars and rages!
But not for me, oh no, but not for me,
For I am deep within that sleep of ages,
So faraway, and happy as can be!

Coronation Poem And Prayer

The world has crowned a thousand kings:
But destiny has kept
Her weightiest hour of kingly power
To offer England's son.
The rising bell of Progress rings;
And Truths which long have slept,
Like prophets strange, predicting change,
Before Time's chariot run.

The greatest Empire of the Earth.
Old England proudly stands.
Like arteries her Colonies
Reach out from sea to sea.
She clasps all races in her girth;
Her gaze the world commands;
And far and wide where strong ships ride,
The British Flag floats free.

Oh, never since the stars began
Their round of Cosmic law,
And souls evolved in ways unsolved,
And kingdoms reached their prime
Has Destiny held out to Man
A gift so full of awe,
As England's crown which she hands down
In this stupendous time.

This is a crucial hour, when Fate
Tries Monarchs as by fire.
All rulers must be more than just-
Men starve on bread alone.
Old England's sense of right is great;
But now let her aspire
To feel more love, and build thereof
An everlasting Throne.

The dreaming East, awake at last,
Is asking 'when' and 'why';
Wait not too long nor answer wrong,
Nor in too stern a voice.
Let England profit by her past,
And with her wise reply
Rouse hearts, within her foster kin
To hope, and to rejoice.

True wealth dwells not in things we own,
But in our use of things.
Who would command a conquered land
Must conquer first its heart.
Such might as Man has never known,
And power undreamed by kings,
And boundless strength would come at length
To one who used that art.

For now has dawned the People's day:
A day of great unrest.
Nor king nor creed can still man's need
Of time and space to grow.
All lands must shape a wider way,
For this eternal quest;
And Leisure yield a larger field
Where work-worn feet may go.

The Universe is all a-thrill
With changes imminent.
The World in faith, with bated breath,
Holds free the Leader's place.
And wise is he whose heart and will
At one with Time's intent,
Shall open wide doors long denied
To mothers of the race.

On this round globe, oh, when and where
Were fitter time and scene
For Woman's soul to reach its goal
Than now in England's realm.
Was not the crown its King will wear
Made glorious by its Queen?
And who steered straight its ship of State?
Victoria at the Helm!

Kings have been kings by accident,
By favour and by force,
But right of birth and moral worth,
And Empires rich and broad
For England's King to-day are blent
Like rivers on one course.
But, ah! the light falls searching white
Down from the Throne of God.

Lord of the Earth and heavenly spheres,
Creator of all things,
Thou who hast wrought great worlds from naught,
Give strength to England's son.
Give courage to dispel those fears
That come to even kings,
And for his creed give Love's full mead;
Amen. Thy Will be done.

The Man Who Saw

The master weavers at the enchanted loom
Of Legend, weaving long ago those tales
Through which there wanders the grey thread of truth,
Lost in the gorgeous arras of romance,
Tell how King Vortigern resolved to build
A Tower of Safety, 'mid the solitudes
That are the hem of the great druid robe
Of Snowdon, Mount of Eagles. So each day
The builders laboured, marrying stone to stone;
But ever in the night an adversary
Invisible as malevolent cancelled those
Cold nuptials, and with impish wanton rage
Shattered the walls. And thither, from beyond
That congress of grave mountains, met like seers
And bards august, though in a rivalry
Of silence rather than of song—from where
The vales are not so tranced with awe, nor yet
So far below the hill tops as to feel
Aching estrangement,—fortune one day brought
A youth whoso very brow was a command.
His name of Merlin had not clambered then
To fearsome greatness, like a dusty star;
Yet ev'n thus early his subduing eyes
Seemed to have known all things in life but tears;
And standing where wrecked hopes bestrewed the ground,
He said to them whose toil was shards and dust:
'Search underneath. your tower's foundations; there
Are the Unbuilders, busy while you build;
The Undoers are there.' And every man obeyed.
And digging deep, they found a hollow abysm,
Where waters gnawed the ribs of the Earth, and sapped
Her sinews, till her frame tottered infirm ;
'Where also monsters heaved their tumid bulk
In ancient ambush, and with tremors vast
Palsied those ramparts as they yearned to rise;'
Blind dragon shapes, of blindest, darkness born,
That save in darkness could not live an hour,
And, touched by Light, made their dull moan, and died.

Such is the tale, which one, who chronicled
Old shadowy wars in sanctuaries of peace,
Found amid crumbled pomps, the hushed domain
Of mildew, and the empire of the moth,
Nigh on eight hundred years ago. And now,
Out of that land where Snowdon night by night
Receives the confidences of lonesome stars,
And where Carnarvon's ruthless battlements
Magnificently oppress the daunted tide,
There comes—no fabled Merlin, son of mist,
And brother to the twilight, but a man
Who in a time terrifically real
Is real as the time; formed for the time;'
Not. much .beholden to the munificent Past,
In mind or spirit but frankly of this hour
No faggot of perfections, angel or saint,
Created faultless and intolerable;
No meeting-place of all the heavenlinesses;
But eminently a. man to stir and spur
Men, to afflict them with benign alarm,
Harass their sluggish and uneager blood,
Till, like himself, they are hungry for the goal;
A man with something of the cragginess
Of his own mountains, something of the force
That goads to their loud leap the mountain streams.

And he too comes to bid the builders probe
Deep underneath the Tower of Safety, lest
A pit lie cavernous and covert there,
A long baulked, ravening emptiness, a grave
That famishes for its expected food.
Nay, in his hands he takes the delver's spade,
Lays bare the hollow, o'er which to build at all
Were to build woe and ruin, and 'stablishes
A mightier tower, bastioned so broad and firm,
In life, in manhood, and in womanhood,
Founded upon so massy a human rock,
And with such living bulwarks against them
Who first poured death from where the lark strews bliss,
That when, at last, ours shall be Triumph, though
Triumph perhaps too weary to rejoice,
Save with a mournful jubilation—when
Hate shall reel back from these embattled walls,
And having spent so long its hurtling bolts
With such' poor thrift, shall stand before the star?
Bankrupt of thunder—then indeed shall Time
Add yet another name to those the world
Salutes with an obeisance of the soul:
The name of him, the man of Celtic blood,
Whom Powers Unknown, in a divine caprice,
Chose and did make their instrument, wherewith
To save the Saxon: the man all eye and hand,
The man who saw, and grasped, and gripped, and held.
Then shall each morrow with its yesterday
Vie, in the honour of nobly honouring him,
Who found us blindfold by the slippery .verge
Of fathomless perdition and haled us back.
And poets shall dawn in pearl and gold of speech,
Crowning his deed with not less homage, here
On English ground, than yonder whence he rose:
Yonder where crash the cataracts through the chasms,
And unto the dark tempests the dark hills
Offer their stubborn sides all gered, but keep
A heart invincible and impregnable;
While with long arm and piercing spear the sea
Thrusts far into the valleys, that of old
Heard the twin raptures of the harp and sword,
The heroic strife, and the heroic strings,
Amid the battling torrents, and beneath
The happier peaks, that, without strife, prevail.

Who Formed The Waters Seeded First Earth Life?

Science claims life on planet earth
has teemed thrived multiplied
diversified for millions of years

then when did earth life begin?

This is one of the greatest mysteries
still waiting to be scientifically unraveled
and the theory is our first life forms

were miraculous one-celled creatures
that appeared on earth about 3 billion years
ago through evolution or Transpermia?

It's life Jim but not as we know it know it?

Who wove first intricate webs of cosmic life?
Who formed the waters seeded first earth life?
Who put together first miraculous one-celled creatures?

For two billion years only single celled organisms exist?
Then suddenly zap single celled organisms began to evolve?
To evolve into multicellular organisms seeding the atmosphere?

Who what caused this unexplained unprecedented
profusion of life in incredibly complex wondrous forms?
Multicellular organisms fill the oceans spanning surface?

Why for eons two billion years only single celled organisms
then suddenly zap multicellular organisms teem in earth seas?
Multicellular organisms adventurers desire crawl from seas?
Why leave primordial primeval seas take up residence on land?

To escape predators
in the ocean when rule
life consumes itself?

Multiplicity cascading chain of new increasingly differentiated
life forms cast appear flourish all over happy bubble blue planet?
Times of merriment paradise periods life prospers proliferates?

Wham bam life is virtually annihilated by an unexplained mass
extinction event first of several mass extinctions in Earth history?
What space time opera clears stage restarts weaves new life forms?

Scientists postulate increasingly look up to space
to explain seemingly clockwork mass extinctions
repeating happening since beginning of living time?

Is earth getting periodically belted by rogue space rocks asteroids?
Comets or is collision of passing neutron stars happening in space?
Too close for comfort to ensure survival of most capsule earth life?

Life tenacious clings to life resolute upon rocks of hope
mass extinctions occur but life seed springs back from brink
life endures clings to home small blue life boat planet earth?

So let us play blue's clues review the last three billion years.
Scientists keep finding new cues as to how life first begins
on earth amazing interesting places volcanic vents deep oceans?

Ode On The Death Of A Lady, Who Lived One Hundred Years, And Died On Her Birthday, 1728

Ancient dame, how wide and vast
To a race like ours appears,
Rounded to an orb at last,
All thy multitude of years!

We, the herd of human kind,
Frailer and of feebler powers;
We, to narrow bounds confined,
Soon exhaust the sum of ours.

Death’s delicious banquet—we
Perish even from the womb,
Swifter than a shadow flee,
Nourish’d but to feed the tomb.

Seeds of merciless disease
Lurk in all that we enjoy;
Some that waste us by degrees,
Some that suddenly destroy.

And, if life o’erleap the bourn
Common to the sons of men,
What remains, but that we mourn,
Dream, and dote, and drivel then?

Fast as moons can wax and wane
Sorrow comes; and, while we groan,
Pant with anguish, and complain,
Half our years are fled and gone.

If a few (to few ‘tis given),
Lingering on this earthly stage,
Creep and halt with steps uneven
To the period of an age,

Wherefore live they, but to see
Cunning, arrogance, and force,
Sights lamented much by thee,
Holding their accustom’d course?

Oft was seen, in ages past,
All that we with wonder view;
Often shall be to the last;
Earth produces nothing new.

Thee we gratulate, content
Should propitious Heaven design
Life for us as calmly spent,
Though but half the length of thine.

Mistaken

1.
Clenched in Snowball Earth's ice viced grip,
survivors hid, shunning sterile shores
and as eternal winter melted, drip by drip,
a forest stitched the silty oceans' floors.

Crinkled spindles and leafy globes open,
man-high, thumbnail thin, sentinel fronds.
Multicellular life, freshly woven,
modules linked and branched with fractal bonds.

Too dark, too deep, to be photosynthetic,
nutrients were gleaned through membranes fluted.
Strewn in an unseen ghostly aesthetic,
not plants but animals, static, rooted.

In places, Earth's belches and coughed ash
sank, killed, coated and cast still life tableaux.
Sediments weighted and imbued the cache,
layer on layer of time-locked plateaus.

Hundreds of millions of years rearranged Earth's wrinkles,
dipped or exposed, buckled crusty scabs.
Pink and white volcanic ash sprinkles
fleck glacier scrubbed pitched grey slabs.

Erosion exposes a false beginning,
fossils of creatures which nature scrapped.
Immobility jinxed their innings,
condemned as unable to adapt.

Minimal repetitive genetic commands,
holdfasts marked by circle and groove,
hint at no scope to meet the demands
of competitors, newly evolved to move.

Failed experiment thwarted by simplicity,
a ‘survival of the fittest' flashpoint.
Outcasts' remains with unknown affinity
on the sculpted rocks of Mistaken Point.

2.
Perched above the Atlantic, fog-wrapped,
fractured cliffs concede a slant ledge outpost.
Raked by winter's storm waves, white-capped,
mariners thread rocks on a shipwreck coast.

'Seabirds on the port bow' the seaman bawled,
a sign of land near, though in truth his ears,
could hardly pick their shrieks from the howling squall.
The mate held their course, discounting his fears.

For hadn't they already rounded the Cape,
heading north for wide ocean, abrim with cod.
Guiding stars blinked through the fog's cold drape.
Watch over, the seaman slept slickered and shod.

But rocks slice schooners as schooners slice waves.
Before the unforgiving night finished,
the elements sent several poor men to sea graves
and swept two to a land ledge, diminished.

The mate and the seaman lay prone and spent,
shaken, grieving for those thought forsaken.
The wind dropped low to a moan, in lament,
the mate whispered 'seems I was mistaken'.

Their hands traced rock indents as some strange braille
and dawn's first horizontal rays,
struck reliefs which told a fossilized tale
of a wrong way course from Pre-Cambrian days.

By mid-morning, the mate and the seaman were found.
By noon, they'd been saved from their plight.
Hauled by hemp rope to the cliff top's safe ground
on a day when a rare sun shone bright.

While waiting for rescue, they'd lain on a page,
a fragment of Life's chronicles disjoint,
a glimpse of a flourishing singular stage,
on the sculpted rocks of Mistaken Point.
