Narrative: Look Toward Home For The Holiday
Everyone’s talking of brave warriors—
Like you and the place where you’re assigned.
They say you’re inspired—stand for love
Devoted to country and mankind.
You don’t leave my mind day or nighttime,
Belong to me even in my dreams;
I’m either praying or reliving us
In one way or another it seems.
Sometimes I see your lonesome shadow
Framed by the horizon’s afterglow;
You’re quite worthy of imitation
As the loyal peacekeeper I know.
Tonight I placed a praying angel
Near a flaming Christmas candlelight;
On the windowsill, to light your way,
To the place your heart lives ev’ry night.
I’m missing you more—and it’s Christmas,
So I’ve decked the halls ev’ry which way;
With our favorite decorations
Just like you’re here—for the holiday.
I pushed an enormous Yule log
Into the fireplace for you to light;
Together we could warm ourselves there
As our Christmas hearth glows jewel bright.
You’ll be seeing our Christmas at home
If you’re here or still miles away;
My present of the heart’s this picture
Just look toward home for the holiday.

A Thad Wilk Christmas
In the darkness at Christmas time
Under the crescent of a moon
We see festive decorations
For holiday excitement is soon
A home that beckons to us
Through the window we can see
Hundreds of colored lights flashing
On this beautiful Christmas tree
Inside it is warm and cozy
A warm fire burning bright
Stockings placed very carefully
It is Christmas Eve tonight
The Eggnog is hot and spicy
For after all it is Christmas
Romance is in the air
Before tomorrow’s family fuss
Those of us who know Thad
See mistletoe here and there
His lady knows it too, of course
And has enticing kisses to share
And from our own favorite poet
We can see presents for his love
And wonderful New Years blessings
That comes straight from above!
Merry Christmas, Thad

Beautiful Christmas
Let's Go!
Big Time!
Merry Christmas everybody..
Put down video games
Pick up some candy canes
And hang a wreath on your door
Give back to those in need
Bring peace and harmony
Cause that's what Christmas is for
And this Christmas, this Christmas
We'll celebrate a wonderful year
ooh this Christmas, this Christmas
We'll decorate the halls with love and cheer
We can make a beautiful Christmas
We can make the world shine bright
As long as friends and family are with us
Every star will shine tonight
We can make it beautiful this Christmas
We can make it beautiful this Christmas
We can make it beautiful this Christmas
We can make a beautiful Christmas
Let's party in the snow under the mistletoe
Girl I've been waiting all year
Rudolph can take a break
Frosty can melt away
As long as I got you here
Ooh this Christmas, this Christmas
We'll celebrate a wonderful year
ooh this Christmas, this Christmas
We'll decorate the halls with love and cheer
We can make a beautiful Christmas
We can make the world shine bright
As long as friends and family are with us
Every star will shine tonight
We can make it beautiful this Christmas
We can make it beautiful this Christmas
We can make it beautiful this Christmas
We can make a beautiful Christmas
Happy Holiday
Spread the love on Christmas Day
Singin' Happy Holiday
We can make a beautiful Christmas
Happy Holiday
Spread the love on Christmas Day

We can make a beautiful Christmas
So Beautiful!

(Christmas)
The snow's coming down
(Christmas)
I'm watching it fall
(Christmas)
Lots of people around
(Christmas)
Baby please come home
(Christmas)
The church bells in town
(Christmas)
All ringing in song
(Christmas)
Full of happy sounds
(Christmas)
Baby please come home
They're singing 'Deck The Halls'
But it's not like Christmas at all
Cuz I remember when you were here
And all the fun we had last year
(Christmas)
Pretty lights on the tree
(Christmas)
I'm watching them shine
(Christmas)
You should be here with me

And although I know its a long road back
I promise you

Tennessee Christmas
Come on weatherman,
Give us a forecast snowy white.
Cant you hear the prayers
Of every childlike heart tonight?
Rockies are calling,
Denver snow falling,
Somebody said its four feet deep.
But it doesnt matter,
Give me the laughter;
Im gonna choose to keep
Another tender tennessee christmas,
The only christmas for me.
Where the love circles around us,
Like the gift around our tree.
Well I know theres more snow
Up in colorado
Than my roof will ever see,
But a tender tennessee christmas
Is the only christmas for me.
Every now and then,
I got a wanderin urge to see
Maybe california,
Maybe tinsel towns for me.
Theres a parade there;
Wed have it made there;
Bring home a tan for new years eve.
Sure sounds exciting,
Awfully inviting,
Still I think Ill gonna keep
Another tender tennessee christmas,
The only christmas for me.
Where the love circles around us,
Like the gift around our tree.
Well they say in l.a.,
Its a warm holiday;
Its the only place to be.
But a tender tennessee christmas
Is the only christmas for me.
(ooooooh, yeah, yeah.)
(ohh, you know I wanna be home.)
(ooo-oooh.)
Well I know theres more snow
Up in colorado
Than my roof will ever see,
But a tender tennessee christmas
Is the only christmas for me.
A tender tennessee christmas
Is the only christmas for me.

whats Christmas
Christmas isn’t about toys
Christmas isn’t about money
Christmas is about giving food to the needy
Christmas is about loving your family
Christmas is to get time to spend with your family
What’s Christmas
Christmas is about the holiday
Christmas is about loving what you get
Christmas isn’t about sending cards
Christmas is about love

Please Come Home For Christmas
Written by charles mose brown and gene c. redd
Bells will be ringing the glad, glad news
Oh, what a christmas to end the blues
My babys gone, I have no friends
To wish me greetings, ooh, once again
Choirs will be singing silent night
Christmas carols by candlelight
Please come home for christmas
Please come home for christmas
If not for christmas, by new years night
Friends and relations send salutations
Sure as the stars shine above
This is christmas, yeah, christmas my dear
The time of year to be with the one you love
So wont you tell me youll never more roam
Christmas and new years will find you home
Please come home for christmas
Please come home for christmas
If not for christmas by new years night
[instrumental interlude]
Therell be no more sorrow no grief and pain
And Ill be happy, happy once again

Please Come Home For Christmas (live)
Bells will be ringing the glad, glad news
Oh what a Christmas to have the blues
My baby's gone (my baby's gone) I have no friends
To wish me greetings once again
Choirs will be singing Silent Night
Those Christmas carols by candlelight
Please come home for Christmas (please come home)
Please come home for Christmas (please come home)
If not for Christmas by New Year's night
Friends and relations send salutations
Just as sure as the stars shine above (yes they do)

Home On Christmas Day
Sitting in some hotel room
Some place far away
Saw a shop light screaming Christmas
Bought your present there today
Pre-Chorus:
I'll be home on Christmas day
I am just a thought away
And every Christmas tree
Reminds me where I'd rather be
The drunken Santa on the corner
Looks a little blue
But the twinkle in his eye dear
Looks a little like you
Chorus:
I'll be home on Christmas day
I am just a thought away
And every Christmas tree
Reminds me where I'd rather be
Home on Christmas day
I am just a thought away
But anywhere I'll be
You will always be Christmas to me
Something about this season
Makes me feel a little queer
Everybody's so damn jolly
I wish you were here
Repeat Chorus

No Christmas Tree Where It Should Be
A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
With dark green needled memories
Of childhood dreams and mysteries
Wrapped present-like in front of me.
A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
I glimpse a past wherein i see
The child that then grew into me
Not forward fast but haltingly.
A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
A time for being with family
A time that's gone so fleetingly
Yet lives for always deep in me.
A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
When twelfth night comes whole hauntingly
One lingered look and then i see
No Christmas tree where it would be.
A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
With feelings now felt tearfully
No home, no kids surrounding me
No corner in my house to see
The magic of that Christmas tree.

My Nordic Christmas Story
I bought boots for Christmas to tread the icy plains.
I bought toys for Christmas with Santas in my trains.
I lit my home for Christmas with a Cedar bright.
I made cup cakes for Christmas for my love's delight.
I bought Jane a dress for Christmas with ribbons pink.
I bought for my grandma a cozy Christmas mink.
I bought for Jill two amazing Christmas Sparrows.
I bought for Jack a toy quiver full of arrows.
I bought an Elk for Christmas with nose giving light.
I bought for Christmas, candles for a solemn night.
I made for Christmas a warm and sweet lemonade,
and I sang on Christmas morn, a sweet Serenade.

The Night Before Christmas
Children carry through the streets
A brightly painted star.
Angels gather round the hearth,
Strumming on guitars.
Men of great renown and faith
Say prayers on boulevards.
Its the night before christmas.
But you dont have to be an angel
To sing harmony.
You dont have to be a child
To love the mystery. (mystery)
And you dont have to be a wise man
On bended knee.
The heart of this christmas is in you and me.
(the night before christmas.)
(the night before christmas.)
If your hearts been longing,
Youve been afraid to try,
Sorrows kept you company,
And the dance has passed by,
Ill lift you up and blaze with you
Across the moonlit sky
On the night before christmas.
cause you dont have to be an angel
To sing harmony.
You dont have to be a child
To love the mystery. (mystery)
And you dont have to be a wise man
On bended knee.
The heart of this christmas is in you and me.
The heart of this christmas is in you and me.
(the night before christmas.)
(the night) the night before christmas.
(the night) the night before christmas.
(the night) the night before christmas.
(the night before christmas.)
(the night) the night before christmas.
(the night before christmas.)
(the night) the night before christmas.
(the night) la, la, la, la....

Christmas Everywhere
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas tonight!
Christmas in lands of the fir-tree and pine,
Christmas in lands of the palm-tree and vine,
Christmas where snow peaks stand solemn and white,
Christmas where cornfields stand sunny and bright.
Christmas where children are hopeful and gay,
Christmas where old men are patient and gray,
Christmas where peace, like a dove in his flight,
Broods o're brave men in the thick of the fight;
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas tonight!
For the Christ-child who comes is the Master of all;
No palace too great, no cottage too small.

Twelve Christmas Angels a Christmas Poem
Twelve Christmas angels met
Up near the Milky Way;
To discuss why joy was missing,
From the Christmas holiday.
It gave them so much sadness,
As they tracked the negative trend;
So each decided to do their part,
To bring this madness to an end.
Angel one would touch memories,
Reminding of the blessings of life;
Angel two would tenderize hard hearts,
Removing bitterness and strife.
Angel three would gather families,
From far reaches of the earth;
Then stir feelings of love and peace,
Giving hope and joy new birth.
Angel four would return Merry
And Christ to holiday greetings.
Angel five would clear calendars,
To make time for family meetings.
Angels six would flame enthusiasm,
Angels seven would spread cheer;
Angel eight would grow generosity,
Angel nine would diminish fear.
Angel ten would dispel darkness,
By lighting colorful decorations;
Angel eleven would draw the lonely,
To warm and friendly celebrations.
Angel twelve would have the hardest job,
Bringing wonder back to each heart;
And reminding all the people,
Of how Christmas had its start.
So with haste they met the challenge,
And made everything all right;
They restored the joy and happiness,
Before that Christmas night.
So Merry Christmas then to one and all,
May every tongue employ;
And thank you Christmas angels,
For bringing back the Christmas joy!
