My Wilted Flower

Your waking dreams
I hear your screams
Of the hour
My wilted flower

All alone
Can’t go home
You must cower
My wilted flower

So much pain
Standing in the rain
You are not of power
My wilted flower

You run away
And there you stay
In the cold rain shower
My wilted flower

Memories of all the hate
Your horrible fate
They no longer tower
My wilted flower

In peace you die
I mustn’t cry
Your last hour
My wilted flower

Wilted Flower

She was a wilted flower
When I first saw her
Standing against the wall

She became a movie star
A glamorous, breathtaking
Movie star

I saw her yesterday
She is a wilted flower once more

Hoping
Praying
Dreaming
That someday
She will bloom again

She was a wilted flower
When I first saw her

A-b= Sad

Love is sad, and love is cruel.
To find it again, don't be a fool.
My flower was young,
And my flower was sweet,
When we were together,
Our passion was heat,
We traveled together, never apart,
And I knew that forever she would be in my heart,
I would look in her eyes and I would hold my breathe
To lose such a treasure would mean certain death,
This sweet little thing that I used to adore,
I never thought we would be no more.
The sun went away and it started to rain,
The joy in my heart soon turned into pain.
My little flower that I adored,
My absence was long, and she got bored
My flower has wilted from the lack of the heat,
Resentment took over, and our love was beat,
If only we planted more of those seeds,
Our garden would flourish and not the weeds.
Wilted flower don't be sad,
Another's garden is not so bad,
Always look up and never bend,
And soon you will find that your heart will mend
Love is sad, and love is cruel,
To find it again, don't be a fool.

The Wilted Rose

I once observed a wilted Rose
Clipped before its time
How sad it was to see
It broke this heart of mine
I thought of what might have been
Bad this Rose been left to grow
The beauty of a single flower
For all the world to know
But then again I thought
There's more here to learn
The thought of resurrected love
Does make my heart to burn
Herein lies the secrest of love and life
For all of us to share
Give thanks and praise to God
For wilted Rose to bear
This Rose I saw and understood
That hang upon the tree
He wilted, died and rose again
Just for love of me.

Flower In The Sun

Oh please don't you think baby that i have been wrong to cry, yeah.
You loved me, too,
So how come you just sit there and laugh
And laugh and laugh and laugh ?
Things just can't be this way
Not for very long
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no.
Our love affair, yes it's just history, yes it is.
And i tried to love you in my own way,
I think that you know i did.
But to have you here, to see you living,
Oh so near to me, yeah, hey, hey, hey.
Oh but you are distant and so it's dead
And so often people are glad to be old, 'cause yeah,
Our love affair is just history, yes it is.
Once in a green time a flower
Oh, fell in love with the sun.
The passion lasted for an hour
And then she wilted from her loved one.
Once in a green time a flower
Oh, fell in love with the sun.
The passion lasted for an hour
And then she wilted, wilted from her loved one.
And i see you looking up at the sky, how high it is.
You wonder if there is, whoa another me
Now how can that be, honey how can it be ?
Well, i sit here and i ask you, why all this ?
I just got toni-ni-ni-night
Our love affair is just a history
Well, it's all over, baby, it's over, baby,
I can't stand another lo-lo-lonely,
I'm never too lonely.
It's over baby,
I can't help it 'cause i just cry inside,
I just cry inside,
Oh baby, oh baby, don't you feel me moving,
Oh baby, oh baby, don't you hear me crying ?
Well i don't, i don't have to, yeah,
I said now i hurt you, hurt me too now,
Oh baby, oh baby ...

The Old Flower....

there is only one flower that i have
i am hiding it behind my back
and it is not for you

it is for someone else..

i am hiding it behind my back
so you may not see what it is
so you may not quarrel about it

it is for someone else...

i have only one flower in my hand
behind my back
it does not have complete petals
it is wilted and does not have any scent
it is dead
it is a dead flower and it am hiding it behind my back

it is for someone else....

this is an old flower that i have taken
from my antique trunk
tonight i shall burn it
and it shall have the smoke
which shall tell my story
to the cold moon.

No Valentine

He waited.
He waited...
But waited too long.

It was unexpected-
The debris was everywhere-
His hope.

He cried till he laughed...
Lonely laughter-

Roses wilted.
His sanity wilted.
His love wilted...

Wind howls...
Rain mourns...
Thunder moans from grief...
Lightning shows sadness...

The sight of heart-shaped balloons,
Teddy bears, chocolate boxes,
Fresh roses-
He leaped off into peace of mind.

When That Flower Wilted

on the path
one late afternoon
that wild flower wilted

its life was too short
yet it bloomed in full beauty
that noonday

no one noticed it
except the sunset
fading in pastel orange

then the world turns
into a black sky
that flower remains so true
inside my mind

Blooming Pleasures

Blooming Pleasures
By Lori Triggs
Copyrighted 2006

My flower was grown with buds
Waiting to bloom by a man.

My flower was deflowered with
Blooms opened fertilized its seed.

My flower was defiled by
My ex love for he forgot to
Love, compassion with attention.

My flower was debloomed and
Felt wilted with no buds.

My flower was grown with
New buds by a new man, who cares,
Gives love, compassion with attention.

My flower was deflowered again
By the new man the first day we met.

My flower sowed its seed
3 times at the Hyatt March 10th,
After being out of the Robert Wood Johnson
Hospital emergency room for Cardiology.

I say my heart works fine,
But I might need a hip or joint replacement.

Not Your Average Girl

Wilted flower
Desert rain
Just illusions
Nothing has changed
Look at the fire grow
Look at the fire glow
Chorus:
I tried to live inside your world
But Im just not your average girl
I cant miss you
I cant hold on to this notion
I cant cast away my feelings anymore
My mind was twisted (in a circle)
It was turning (round and round)
And I wanted to breath
And I wanted to be true
(chorus)
Loud like thunder rolling over
Long nights pondering my future
Faded colors in my heart
Im not saying that Im lyin down and dyin
God I know that sometime soon Ill find my way
(chorus)
I cant miss you
I cant fall into this notion
I cant cast away my feelings anymore
My mind was twisted (in a circle)
It was turning (round and round)
cause I wanted to breath
And I wanted to leave you
(chorus)
Wilted flower
Desert rain

The Death of a Flower

Love is a soft, sweet flower
Blooming 'neath sunlight's rays
Life gives love its power
Sustains you all your days

Love is a soft, sweet flower
Bright petals circularly arrayed
Life gives love its power
To hold one's heart in sway

Love is a soft, sweet flower
Flourishing by a cool bay
Life gives love its power
But eventually both fade to gray

Love is a wilted flower
Petals all crumpled and frayed
Life gave love its power
But death took both away

But Let Me Talk Now About The Sunflower Queen

at first i contemplate about the
sunflower as a princess
but it will not do her justice
because she is the queen
of the sun,
she rules the fields of green
and blue
and red too, these sunsets and
even sunrises
playing well
tagging her along
to paths of joys
& sorrows

she stands flower high
to the clouds
to storms and tempests
she yields
like any flower
still queenly to her bowing
only to rise again
with her seeds

yes, her many princesses
by her side
wilted yellowed petals
and withered
stalk
some soft winds
sad
some drops of rain still about to fall

Take me to Paris With flowers

Take Me to Paris With Flowers

I'll run away, I'll run away
By your eyes of blue and the skies of gray.
To the heart of France, Paris
The city of love, magic.
I'll run away. I'll run away
Past the doors and gates that lock me,
That controls me.
Into your arms of loving,
Your eyes of wonder.

I'll run away. I'll run away
Through creeks and woods,
Re- Walking the steps that we had once stepped in.
Ride me with your bike,
and my basket of flowers.
That's all we have, something small,
Something, beautiful.

I'll run away, I'll run away
If I hadn't know that our love wasn't meant to be.
You wanted to wait.
Days after days of “wait”.
It's gloomy up here, up in my room,
Waiting and waiting for you.
The flowers have wilted, the skies are crying
Just like my hope had wilted, My tears are falling.
Your real eyes,
Until then I hadn't realize,
That it was just real lies.

All I wanted was a forever, All I wanted was a forever,
But it was just a broken promise,
beside a wilted flower.

To dear KASTHURI - The Wilted Flower -Poem-2

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

POEM-2

WILTED FLOWER

Like a flower
That sweetly blooms
In the bower;

Shedding its beauty
All around,
As its bounden duty;

You, my dear,
Did all you could
To wipe a tear

Which others shed,
As your bounden duty
And them you led..

Like a flower,
That droops down
In its bower;

Whose beauty is torn,
From this earth
In the following morn;

You, my dear,
Were made to wilt;
Though many a tear,

Could not help,
To bring you back;
In our great yelp!

Resuscitation

I commiserate with empathetic attitude
With platitudes of yesterday
Accented with caomparison and forgiveness
That i have sprinkled along the way
For in this path called My Life
A single flower i have been
Once blaming all of the weeds of this world
For the pestulence of sin
I have all but completely wilted
From the suns sizzling rays-burned
But somehow i was salvaged and to the sod returned
New chances i've been given
By the wonders of the Universes higher power
A most enlightening and forgiving Spirit
Now back to the sod-A full blooming flower

A Realization Of Two Things

a bud is better
seen on top of its stalk

even when it has
already bloomed
completely

it is still nicer to
see the flower stuck
on its stalk

even if it has already
wilted
it is still nicer to see
it on its stalk

even when the stalk is gone
the flower is still there

and it is nicer still
to imagine it

untouched by any human
hand
only nature
only nature has the power
to take it

The Bent Flower

There once was a flower,
Who, at an untimely hour,
Began to crook to one side.

The poor little flower,
Would no longer tower,
In the field full of green grass and snow.

But from yonder came a man,
With nothing but a pan,
And sat by the badly bent flower.

And the man sat with the flower day and night,
Helping it get through its plight,
But came the following day.

That within an hour,
The man who sat with the flower,
Was gone like night during day.

Sweet Flora

Sweet Flora

Lovers flit from flower to flower
ignoring flora's lusty dower.
So, there she would wait, a lovely sight
wishing for her lover to alight
and spread her seed with April showers.

She watches from her lofty bower
as Spring succumbs to Summer's power.
but sees no messengers in their flight.
As Summer's sun begins to cower
sweet Flora does mourn her endless plight.

She dreams of Autum's belated knight
arriving at the perfect hour
to stroke the nub within her flower
with fluttering wings that can excite
bringing her joy and complete delight.

As Autumn departs without a fight
her lover arrived upon the site
where love did wait and love did scour
for one to bare her lusty dower
His heart was so sad, he felt contrite.

Her lovely petals were once so bright;
body wilted and scent devoured
as he sought natures perfect flower.
But, he was too late to be her knight;
sweet Flora did die from Winter's bite.
