My strength! !
Find a hook, find a rock,
Anything to hold onto,
Don't let go and hold on tight,
And you'll get through it with them.
When darkness feels all around,
Mum's scowl making me shiver and cry,
I cling to my rock, my strength,
My Dad's love inside.
Find your strength, whatever it may be,
For me it was Him, who will yours be?
Confidence? Brother? Sister? Friend?
There is someone, they are in front of you!
Let your rock, your strength hold you high,
Let it all out to them and let out the pain,
My Strength is my Dad, the love he always gave,
With my inner flame, saved me from the grave.

Philippians 4: 13
The strength to resist the night
The strength to endure the day
The strength to keep righteous paths in sight
The strength to take them without delay
The strength to find a purpose in life
The strength to find the truths it brings
The strength to kick away from strife
The strength to stabalize the rock it clings
The strength to light a friend’s day up
The strength to resist wrathful foes
The strength to fill a stranger’s dry cup
The strength to shun sin when it opposed
The strength to feel a injured man’s pain
The strength to hold a reject’s hand
The strength to act against any gain
The strength to love without demand
The strength to understand that our King
Has blessed us with more than we can contain
Therefore regardless what time may bring
The strength will continue to reign

The Strength Within
The dark clouds are filling the skies.
The rain will soon settle in.
My sorrow then begins to rise.
Find strength within, find strength within.
All of the mountains are steeper ahead,
And I've struggled thust far I've been.
I calmly lower my head.
Find strength within, find strength within.
The world around me is dying.
Surrender is conquering a thousand men.
The life within me is crying.
Find strength within, find strength within.
I use to wonder when I'd walk my last mile,
Until I found Jesus, my friend.
Now there's a reason to smile!
I've found strength within, I've found strength within.

Foolish Toils?
Greek Mythology tells us about a man named Sysiphus
Who was handed a seemingly worthless task.
Rolling a huge rock to the top of a hill,
Only to watch it roll down the other side...
I say to you - Sysiphus truly lived!
For unkike the man who sits beside the hill-
Watching Sysiphus and laughing
At his seemingly worthless toils...
Sysiphus lived a full life!
Sysiphus tasted victory at every summit!
And at that summit he beheld sights like no other man!
And even as his grip on that rock gave way -
Sysiphus won the greatest prize!
For the pain of that moment taught him strength...
Strength to never give up
Strength to take hold of that rock
And the strength to try again!

Letting Go
We have to learn to let go
We can't hold onto everything
Even the people that are so near
There is possibility and the fair
Unfortunately its so clear
So prepare yourself not to tear
Hold on to strength of your faith
And god will guide your way
We must be prepared and conviced
That everything happens for a reason
Everything has beginning has an end
We can't hold on to people
Even if we adore them
Or to the things we love
We must find the strength
In our souls to 'let go'
We can't control everything
We can't make everything perfect
As we can't be perfect ourselves something i've found out
That sometimes it is more helpful To find the strength on our self
For 'Letting go'
And never chain souls.

Lend me your strength
Please lend me your strength
until I find my own
Without you the pain is amplified
not sure if I can do it on my own
But you tell me I'm strong
and I really do want to believe you
But I need to see it in myself
and that's the hardest thing to do
Lately I've been feeling like a pebble
stagnant and forgotten on the ground
But you could always pick me up
bring me back to the here and now
So please lend me your strength
at least until I find some of my own
without you the pain has multiplied
not sure if I'll survive on my own
But you tell me I'm a fighter
you believe I can conquer anything
this is just a test of my strength
you say I have to find my wings
Where would I be without you
my world would be a twisting labyrinth
but deep down I know I'm stronger than this
through your belief I found my strength

Let's Make Love
(chris lindsey, marv green, bill luther, aimee mayo)
Baby i've been drifting away
Dreaming all day
Of holidng you
Touching you
The only thing i want to do
Is be with you
As close to you
As i can be
Let's make love
All night long
Until all our strength is gone
Hold on tight
Just let go
I want to feel you in my soul
Until the sun comes up
Let's make love
Oh, baby
Do you know what you do to me
Everything inside of me
Is wanting you
And needing you
I'm so in love with you
Look in my eyes
Let's get lost tonight
In each other
Let's make love
All night long
Until all our strength is gone
Hold on tight
Just let go
I want to feel you in my soul
Until the sun comes up
Let's make love
Let's make love
All night long
Until all our strength is gone
Hold on tight

God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul of everyone
Do you know what you want? You don't know for sure
You don't feel right, you can't find a cure
And you're gettin' less than what you're lookin' for
You don't have money or a fancy car
And you're tired of wishin' on a falling star
You gotta put your faith in a loud guitar
Chorus:
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Gave rock and roll to everyone (oh yeah)
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul of everyone
"Now listen"
If you wanna be a singer, or play guitar
Man, you gotta sweat or you won't get far
Cause it's never too late to work nine-to-five
You can take a stand, or you can compromise
You can work real hard or just fantasize
But you don't start livin' till you realize - "I gotta tell ya!"
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Gave rock and roll to everyone
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul
(Instrumental break)
God gave rock and roll to you (to everyone he gave the song to be sung)
Gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to everyone
God gave rock and roll to you (to everyone he gave the song to be sung)
Gave rock and roll to you, saved rock and roll for everyone
Saved rock and roll
chorus repeats out...
"I know life sometimes can get tough! And I know life sometimes can be a
drag!
But people, we have been given a gift, we have been given a road
And that road's name is... Rock and Roll

Hot lover, turn up the heat
I want your sugar, girl your love tastes so sweet
I feel a fire burnin' under me
I've got a hunger that you love's gotta feed
You make me sweat, you turn me 'round
You get me up, you never let me down
You make me rock hard, baby all night
Love's like a glove and it fits just rights
You make me rock hard, so baby hold tight
Come on baby, let's rock hard, baby all night
I'm under a physical spell
I'm a prisoner and your love is my cell
Once i get started i can't stop
I can't cool down 'cause this love is so hot

She And He
To be a woman is to be silent and sure
To know, to be secure,
Not just about oneself but about the world,
About what's good and what's bad,
What to hold and what to void.
To be a woman is to be strong,
Not by becoming strong, not by acquiring strength:
To be a woman is to be strength itself.
To be a woman is not to speculate,
Not to know separation from the self,
Not to know death.
To be a woman is to find one's depth within oneself.
To be a woman is never to venture,
Never to stray, never to search,
But to have, as natural right,
Dominion over the earth.
To be a woman is to hold sway,
To be a woman is to be the source.
To be a man is to seek, to venture, to define-
And to find one's annihilation in woman.

A hand of friendship
Take the hand i am holding on to you
It is the hand of friendship and love
A hand that will give you support
To bear to endure and to be firm
In life's vicious circle that we live
It is the hand of a friend
Which will give you strength
a firm grip ensuring security
It is the hand of love and concern
Hold it tight to be affirm
Life is good life is hope

some people have the strength to push a rock
some people have the strength to pull a car
some have the strength to pull a train
maybe even the strength to pull a plane

have the strength to pull away

Into The Fire
The sky was falling and streaked with blood
I heard you calling me, then you disappeared into the dust
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need your kiss, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
You gave your love to see, in fields of red and autumn brown
You gave your love to me and lay your young body down
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need you near, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
It was dark, too dark to see, you held me in the light you gave
You lay your hand on me
Then walked into the darkness of your smoky grave
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need your kiss, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your love bring us love

Romeo
I have a secret place inside my mind,
Where I keep hidden inspiration you will find.
And when my petty anger goes to my head,
Youll find Im better off dead.
Oh, and I dont hold the key,
To find out what is killing me, its,
Been so long but somehow I just still care,
I am a romeo, am a romeo, with no place to go
Sometimes I think you hate me, hang up the phone,
But take a closer look, this hate I feel is my own.
So many times Ive loved you, more than myself,
Its time to take that love and put it on the shelf.
Oh, and when I hold you tight,
It makes me want to scream and fight.
Love turned to hate,
Some how its just, how its just,
How its just to late.
I am a romeo, am a romeo with no place to go
Rock the reggae music, cuz it sounds so fine, right!
When I hold you tight, in my arms you are mine,
But in the morning when I wake up and I still feel the same,
I know something goin on and I know whos to blame.
Everytime I tell you Im the real romeo,
It fills my soul and heart with anger, pain, and sorrow.
Cuz somthings going on and I think you should know,
So listen to my rhyme, cuz this is how it goes:
In a tight mini short in a short mini skirt,
It feels so wrong and it feels so right.
The more I think about it youre a pain in the ass,
I told you many times, this time its gonna last.
Want the kind of woman who can make me feel right,
Not sloppy drunk sex on a saturday night. cuz,
I am a romeo, am a romeo with no place to go
Pull up your honey if you gotta one see,
Because your down with the style, cuz your down with me. oh,
Rig the selector when your on the mixer,
Along with peter mitchell upon the echo chamber. two, one,
No they must see but no, they cant test me.
Two, three of them come and say you cant test me.
Because me rock the reggae music in a different stylee.
Me rock the kinda reggae music right on time, because your down with the
Band that they call sublime, right?
Dont take it too slow, dont take me wrong,
Me know which way to go, me, me, me, me alright,
Me rock the reggae music day and all night.
Makes you wanna explode,
Makes me wanna explode,
Makes me wanna explode,
Makes you wanna explode,
Sometimes it makes you wanna explode.

This Love Has Drained My Strength
This love has drained my strength
It has left me among the dead
Lying like a corpse in a grave
With no one to care for me.
This love has drained my strength
My heart is full of pain
There is no hope of saving it
And I am fading like a shadow at dusk.
This love has drained my strength
I am surrounded by accusing people
They swarm me like bees
They blaze against me like a crackling fire.
This love has drained my strength
Tears blur my eyes
My body and soul are withering away
This wound is too deep to heal
This love has drained my strength...
