Market closed for the day
Today, market closed,
Panting in loss of our kinsmen,
Here they are, in splashing dust of clay wrapped on their face,
See their coffin, the last apartment for the travellers,
They are on a journey, eternal journey,
Hand encapsulated in vanity,
Today, market cease to open,
When soil called upon the soul

The Auction
Buy a piece of God today.
He's going for half price.
Buy a piece of God today.
Save your soul,
Buy some salvation,
Save your soul from Damnation.
The man on the street corner
Has all the answers.
He's selling the Divine
From the back of a truck.
'Too hot to handle, too cold to hold,
Come on baby unburden your soul.'
It's raining.
Mud is splashing.
The pavement where the man stands,
Is dry.
Come save yourself.
It's all, all right.
God is being sold today.
Come early and get a good price
From the market.
Remember,
We've got what you need.
Cloth, cotton candy, vegetables,
And furniture.
Manure for your flower beds.
It's all right in the next room.
God is being sold today.
He's going for half price.
Going Once
Going Twice
Going three times!
GONE.

Perhaps I'll Never Again See Old Clara Mountain
I'm getting on in years and looking older even than my age of two years with three score
And perhaps I'll never again see old Clara Mountain and climb the high fields up through Claramore
In Claraghtalea I started my life's journey but I'm not to know where and when that journey will end
In sixty two years I've known a lot of people but not everyone I've known I'd call a friend
I often think about the Town of Millstreet where mine once was a fairly well known face
Though there today I well might be a stranger a stranger even in my old Homeplace
I am one of many migrants from Duhallow for to try my luck in the big World out there
Duhallow people are known to be travellers and one from there one could meet anywhere
I often think of those I went to school with many of them the grandparents of today
Perhaps the years have left them looking older even some of them with the departed lay
It has been many years since I've last seen them the years eventually do tell on all
On looking back our young years went so quickly and for everyone of us a final Fall
Perhaps I'll never again see old Clara Mountain or walk in the fields where the rank rushes grow
In Claraghatlea I began my life's journey but where and when that journey will end I'm not to know.

Today I Will Go Once Again
Today I will go once again
Into life, into haggling, into market,
And lead the army of my songs
To duel against the market tide.

You Are Unto Dust
You are made from the dust of the earth,
And the Wailing-Wall will be there for you;
For you are unto dust and you shall return unto dust,
And this is just the journey of the spirit.
To the realm of the unknown and to the things we do for love,
And until death put us apart on this side of the planet;
For the flesh goes back to where it belongs to!
Yes, back to the earth.
Death is part of us and we need to learn from others,
For we have to be prepared as well;
For he flesh goes back to where it belongs to;
And out of the dust we were made.
The dust became flesh and today we are human beings,
And from the knowledge of the things to come;
But naked we came and naked we shall return.
Shed no tears on this love,
For death comes for all of us on this earth;
And we need to learn from the facts around us as well,
For it is better to be very righteous than to be buried with evil deeds.
Life is a long road full of sand and,
All that is acquired on this earth is vanity!
Yes, vanity upon vanity! !
For you and i are unto dust and,
Unto dust we shall return at the end of of all things.

Oh Mr. Bernanke!
Oh Mr. Bernanke
Are we going to have that Rate-cut today?
Aha, you are the candy-man
Could wave your wand
Make the dying Market stand.
Ah, but it ain’t working anymore
The Market is a falling man
Oh Mr. Bernanke
You wave your wand
But it’s fallen over the stands!
Oh Mr. Bernanke
Swayed the Market just your own way!
But banks aren’t making money
The cuts to them are one too many
Candy-man, the Market won’t stand!
Got my only heifer and sacrificed
At the altar of Dow and Nasdaq, paid a high price
The Dow, oh it fell through the Year’s low
Now here I come, Candy-man
Look through your store
We need something more!

Let us express our greatness today
Let us trade many a yesterday for today

Finish The Race
My desire is to finish this race, on my journey compelled by Grace,
Thrust forth every day and hour, solely on The Holy Spirit’s Power.
Christ is the one I whom endear, as some situations turn into fear,
For His presence will never cease, and this gives my heart peace.
This gives me peace in a land, where many men don’t understand,
That Jesus Christ never died, and reigns today at His Father’s side.
Today many people have fallen away, into Satan’s deceptive sway,
Satan being the father of all lies, comes to many lives in a disguise.
He changes things in subtle ways, and even receives undue praise,
Satan is behind all the subtle ways, deceiving multitudes in our days.
Soon his dark reign will cease, when God sends The Prince of Peace.
Deception will come to an end for him, along with all this wicked sin.
For all those who come to Christ, they will enter into His Eternal Light.
For those who refuse His Light, they shall enter into an eternal night.
It was the Grace of Jesus Christ, that started me on this race of life,
And it shall be the Grace of Christ, which sees me into Eternal Life.
Soon earthly darkness all will end, with only Light around the bend,
Christ’s pure Light for all Eternity, when His Glorious face I shall see.
Then I’ll know I am done the race, when I finally look upon His face.
Until then I must faithfully run, in hope to hear Christ say well done.
Finding You, Finding Me
When I set on a journey to find you
I found standing at the door was me
And when I asked if you resembled me
The smiling answer was, 'do you resemble me'
I stood there for the moment eternal
The journey began through the dark tunnel
Towards the glowing spark that I called you
Which now I realized was me
The journey ended from where it began
From finding you to finding me

Just Walking
when i was a kid,
thirteen or fourteen,
i used to go out
at night and walk
the streets...
not going anywhere
in particular...
just walking....
a restless soul
beginning a journey,
and didnt even know.
on the good nights
it rained... and the wind
blowing water in my face
helped prepare me.
today i feel like walking....
beginning a journey,
or ending one?
doesnt really matter...
just walking!

Sweet Solitude
He used to sit on this bench,
still, silent and sad,
no one ever stopped to say hello,
Now he is gone however, natures jigsaw is missing a piece.
Butterflies fluttered overhead,
birds sang beautifull, melancholy tunes,
Squirrels flitted in and out of the trees, playing hide and seek with imaginary friends,
Not today though, they feel the loss.
The air is still today,
tearful, tarnished twigs clutch leaves like a groping beggar,
The cold draws close and darkness looms in the sky above,
The sun sensing somber sorrowful souls will not shine today.
The man who used to sit here has moved on,
Life must continue, that I know,
The eerie silence will be replaced again by laughter,
today however, natures friends remember.
I light a candle to an unknown friend, I hope it lights the way for his eternal, spiritual journey.

Agenda's of the journey
Agenda's of the Journey
Dust dominates the horizon,
Seldom to the season have I withered under the morning star?
The bridge of hope stands firm today,
My chest fills with air!
The path cracks, gash, wounded over time,
If I was to have know the outcome,
I would prefer to journey the bottom of the sea,
Yet,
She inflames the currents,
Thrusting back waves on a raft,
Against the ocean, against the outcome, under the morning star,
She causes my face to invade with a smile

The Generals
Said General Clay to General Gore,
'Oh must we fight this silly war?
To kill and die is such a bore.'
'I quite agree,' said General Gore.
Said General Gore to General Clay,
'We could go to the beach today
And have some ice cream on the way.'
'A grand idea,' said General Clay.
Said General Gore to General Clay,
'But what if the sea is closed today?
And what if the sand's been blown away?'
'A dreadful thought,' said General Clay.
Said General Gore to General Clay,
'I've always feared the ocean's spray,
And we may drown!' 'It's true, we may.
It chills my blood,' said General Clay.
Said General Clay to General Gore,
'My bathing suit is slightly tore.
We'd better go on with our war.'
'I quite agree,' said General Gore.
Then General Clay charged General Gore
As bullets flew and cannons roared.
And now, alas! there is no more
Of General Clay or General Gore.

Although housing sales and starts have cooled to more typical levels, the housing market remains strong and sound. Without the expansion of homeownership and the strength of our housing market, our nation would not have the economic growth we are experiencing today.

I Am Not Yours....
my face has misled you
my eyes specially are not the best tour guides
of this journey
it is your journey still
that worries me
no end
you wish to enter the door of my mind
you cannot
it is closed with the best locks i have
imagined
there is no window to my soul
my eyes are not what they call them to be
do not do anything
they can only be useless attempts
they can even be choking
my being
you may kill me in an instant
with the very first question in your mouth
let go
do not hold anything in your hand
stay beside me
rest your head upon my shoulder
as we watch the setting of the
sun
disregard the idea
relish the feeling
i come and i go
any moment
from now and then
because
i am not yours.

For Everyone The Life Journey
For everyone the life journey is different though a journey that for all of us must end
Along the way we meet some who do not like us But we also do make many a good friend
And on the journey we learn many lessons we've been learning from life since before we did crawl
And every day we live in life for us a lesson and that applies to you and me and all
And on our life journey we make many mistakes and for every one of them some price to pay
But we must struggle onwards towards the finish and every dawning for us a new day
For many life's road more uphill than downhill it is a hard journey to undertake
We have the good days and we have the bad days and every dawn to a new challenge we wake
Tomorrow is another day they will tell you and tomorrow in it's own good time will come
But tomorrow will not be for everybody today's will be the last sunset for some
For every one of us life's journey is different so different for you as it is for me
And our thinking on most things are quite different we all look at life so very differently
For everyone the life journey has to end sometime but where or when we are not meant to know
For some it will end before they reach their prime years and for some when they are walking slow.

I think the market is always going to be around. The goal is not to say, let's get rid of the market, because the market does render a huge number of services, and I don't want to have a fight about the price of something every time I buy a book or a bottle of water.

Affirmations(2002-2004)
Today, I will get up before my alarm
Today, I won't close my eyes until dusk
Today, I will not get a speeding ticket
Today, I will count this day as a first
Today, I will enjoy the life that has been left to me
Today, I won't frown over the may-have-beens
Today, I won't cry over the should-have-beens
Today, I won't wonder about the could-have-beens
Today, I'll smile.......Today, I'll Laugh.... Today, I'll relax
Today, I won't feel alone because I don't see you
Today, I'll find something new that wasn't true of you
Today, I won't be afraid to look upon a new face
Today, I'll step up and take my place
Today, I won't think about what I've lost
Today, I'll look forward instead of behind
Today, I'll find some piece of mind
Today, I'll hope.... Today, I'll pray... Today, I'll believe
Today, I'll dream as if I always did
Today, I'll wish on a star the way I used to
Today, I'll reach for the heavens and sigh
Today, My heart will start to heal
Today, the biggest miracle is ME.
Today, Yesterday's problems ceased to be
Today, the rain has stopped and the sun has returned
Today, the breath of kindness is found in words
Today, I wonder.... Today, I am a child.
