Lord Rubadub

'Neath the shade of a daisy, just two inches high,
A poor little fairy sits weeping alone;
She says, “What a desolate creature am I,
My Lord Rubadub has the heart of a stone!

“He will not allow me to dance on a cherry,
To swing in a cobweb, or ride on a bee;
He tells me to hush when I want to be merry,
Which is hard on a gay little fairy like me.
“Our queen is so delicate, dainty, and dear,
But I fear she will marry my Lord Rubadub.
He struts at her side with a lounge and a leer,—
I wonder she'll look at the dandified cub!

“To fly from the court I announced my intention,
But Rubadub says (and I fancy 'tis true),
I must serve seven years, or I'll not get my pension;
So what is a poor little fairy to do?
“Lord Rubadub's head is as large as my house;
His legs stride as far as the north from the south;
He can hold in his hand that big monster, the mouse;
And he puts a whole dinner at once in his mouth!

“I do not deny he has wit and acumen,
But he's dreadfully fat and disgracefully tall;
I think he's a changeling, a thing they call human;
I do not believe he's a fairy at all!
“But, hush! here he comes.” So she hid in the moss,
While vulgarly saunter'd, in insolent pride,
A fat little boy, who appear'd rather cross,
Though the beautiful fairy queen flew at his side.

He flung himself down with a flop on the daisy,
And sticking a meerschaum his thick lips between,
Bawl'd out, “Look alive there—Flare up—Don't be lazy,
But fan me to sleep with your wings, fairy queen!”
The delicate fairy queen perch'd on his nose,
And flapping her gossamer wings up and down,
The cross little fellow is wrapt in repose—
A sneer on his lips, on his forehead a frown.

The delicate fairy queen falters and flutters,
Afraid to desist. Ah, what slavery this!
But the fairy that's hid in the moss slily mutters,
“Now, now is the moment to test what he is!”
41:She creepeth along, (we can all guess what for,
For who is so stupid as not to have heard
That test of a fairy, that signal of awe,
That almost unspeakable, horrible word!)

She creepeth along, coming nearer and nearer;
She reacheth one ear (for the creature has two!)
Then shouts, and no bell than her voice sounded clearer,
That almost unspeakable word, “Bugaboo!”
Hey presto, he's gone! Down, down on the grass
Drops the queen from the wonderful height of his nose.
Was he here? has he vanish'd? did none see him pass?
Hey presto, he's gone! but how, nobody knows!

The sly little creature laughs out in derision;
The queen's tears would soon float a fine fairy fish.
Then clapping their hands, they exert fairy vision;
And flapping their wings, they see all that they wish.
They see a big chamber, in whose boundless space
Sit fifty big boys, with big books in their hands,
And, lo! in the centre, in dreadful disgrace,
On a high stool of penance, Lord Rubadub stands.

Oh, fairy queen, faint not! that brow which thy kisses
So often have touch'd, like the wing of a fly,
Is crown'd with a fool's cap of paper, where this is
Engraved in black letters a hundred feet high:—
Tom the Truant, that's all; Tom the Truant—alas!
Oh, fairy queen, weep, for thy darling they snub!
Oh, weep that such glory so lightly should pass,
To find a cow'd schoolboy in Lord Rubadub!

The fairies are sorry,—they surely have reason;
To see him stand there makes their tender hearts ache;
And their queen wore half-mourning for many a season,
And rode a blackbeetle for Rubadub's sake.

Fairy Tale High

On a fairy tale high
Don't you believe that your dreams all come true
The fairy tale world inside can bring it to you
You just have to wish, and you'll take off and fly
On a fairy tale high, fairy tale high
Fairy tale high, fairy tale high
On a fairy tale high
Just look around you, the dark clouds are far
Stand on your tiptoes, and reach for a star
As stardust comes sprinkling, it will brighten your eyes
On a fairy tale high, fairy tale high
Fairy tale high, fairy tale high
Fairy tale high, fairy tale high, fairy tale high
On a fairy tale high, feeling higher and higher
On a fairy tale high, feeling higher and higher

Fanciful Dream

I left my love in the Fairy Glen
Home of the litte fairy men
I met her there on a July night
When a Summer moon was beaming bright.

For my love was the Fairy Queen
In Fairyland she reign supreme
She wore a glittering diamond cloak
Queen of the little fairy folk.

Though the night was bright it was bright as day
In a wooded vale I lost my way
Then I sat me down by a tall oak tree
And the Fairy Queen she came to me.

I gazed upon this fairy small
She stood scarcely more than two foot tall
Tiny shoes covered her tiny feet
And she bowed towards me in a fairy greet

Her pretty little face showed no trace of woe
And her hair was white as new fallen snow
And her eyes were sparkling bright and brown
And on her head she wore a tiny crown.

Then she smiled at me and this did say
You're in Fairyland you have lost your way
Sorry to disturb you from your rest
Come along with me and be my guest.

Then she led me to the fairy ball
To a fairy dance in a fairy hall
All the fairy folk were dancing there
And fairy music filled the air.

But when we stepped inside the fairy dance hall door
A hushed silence fell across the floor
Fairy men and women scarce one third my size
All looked up at me with fear in their eyes.

But their Queen she spoke to them and said
Of this gentle giant you need hold no dread
I met him in the oak tree shade
Into Fairyland he has somehow strayed.

Then the fairy band started playing anew
And the fairy folk started dancing too
Round and round the dance floor they did wheel
To the haunting sound of a fairy reel.

I have never seen people quite so gay
As these little fairies in their bright array
These happy folk did laugh and sing
As they danced around in a fairy ring.

Then I left the ball with the Fairy Queen
And we strolled the banks of a moonlit stream
I stooped to kiss her but she was gone
And by the moonlit stream I stood alone.

The alarm clock rang and I awoke
And my spell of fantasy was broke
I awoke to a World of reality
From a Fairyland of fantasy.

Little Fairy

Little Fairy,
Shine so bright.
Little Fairy,
Show your light.

Little Fairy,
I’m amazed.
Little Fairy,
You seem to blaze.

Little Fairy,
I love your allure.
Little fairy,
You are so pure.

Little fairy,
In case you flee,
Little fairy,
First shine on me.

The Fairy

Said Ann to Matilda, 'I wish that we knew
If what we've been reading of fairies be true.
Do you think that the poet himself had a sight of
The fairies he here does so prettily write of?
O what a sweet sight if he really had seen
The graceful Titania, the Fairy-land Queen!
If I had such dreams, I would sleep a whole year;
I would not wish to wake while a fairy was near.-
Now I'll fancy that I in my sleep have been seeing
A fine little delicate lady-like being,
Whose steps and whose motions so light were and airy,
I knew at one glance that she must be a fairy.
Her eyes they were blue, and her fine curling hair
Of the lightest of browns, her complexion more fair
Than I e'er saw a woman's; and then for her height,
I verily think that she measured not quite
Two feet, yet so justly proportioned withal,
I was almost persuaded to think she was tall.
Her voice was the little thin note of a sprite-
There-d'ye think I have made out a fairy aright?
You'll confess, I believe, I've not done it amiss.'
'Pardon me,' said Matilda, 'I find in all this
Fine description, you've only your young sister Mary
Been taking a copy of here for a fairy.'

Fairy Fever

Forty words:

The fairy queen's teardrops are falling

She sneezes all summer long.

Innocent recipient of pollen

Blame histamine's fairy song.

The reason is the sunflower season

Fairy ring carnivals galore,

The scenery is really beautiful

But fairies want fever no more.

Fary Tale Ending

It started out like a fairy tale
You were my prince
And I was your princess
That’s exactly how you treated me
Everything was perfect
Until now
What about the fairy tale ending?
Where you become my King
And I would be your Queen
Now my fairy tale is gone
No more dreams
Or hopes
Because you’re gone
So, what about my fairy tale ending you ask?
It’s gone
The day we weren’t “us” anymore
So let me tell you this
I don’t believe in fairy tales anymore

Folklore for Children (1) and (2)

(1)

Won't you listen in my garden
to the tapping dancing feet
and the singing of the fairies
playing violins so sweet?

Won't you listen to the pixies
and the fairy queen's refrain,
songs of romance, songs of folklore
or do the fairies sing in vain?

Come and join these mystic beings
with pretty wings of fairest hue
delightful elves and friendly fairies
will sing and dance each day for you.

(2)

Down in yonder Elfin Park
Fairies play upon the swing.
Mother nature makes her mark
Saying 'au revoir' to spring.

Summertime is entering in
Fairy Queen begins to sing
No longer dark in Elfin Park
Sunbeams light the fairy ring.

Pretty Queen has lost her heart
True love to her is everything
And if we walk through Elfin Park
Bells will surely 'ting-a-ling'.

(Freedom poems) Fairy child

Fairy child
You child of a god
Fairy child
You have given
up your freedom
Fairy
Fairy child
And now you roam
our world free
Fairy child
because
you know no borders
and your education
Ain't enough fairy child
So you cross borders
to disrespect international
Treaties
You're wanted by INTERPOL
(Can you spell that out loud?)
and the host of
The international agencies
you fairy child
You will know forwards
Fairy child
That the world serves
the interests of one
Super state
When the sanctions
begin to bite fairy child
You will cry like your
Fairy mama fairy
Because here there's
the scarcity
of the sanctions busters
Fairy child
You better go away fairy child
And find yourself
A love mate in Tokyo
Fairy child
'Cause in Tel Aviv
They hunt down the black
infiltrators
Yes they do fairy child
'cause they fear the black brothers
'cause they and the Israelis
Share the same black ancestor fairy child
You better run my brother
And fall in love and marry yourself
off to a Ethiop woman
To get a alien citizenship fairy child
'Cause as stateless as you are now
You're a sitting duck
For INTERPOL and Scotland Yard
Fairy child
Say nothing in Guantanamo Bay
Fairy child
When they come to interrogate
you fairy child
Fairy child fairy child
You child of a god
I warned you my brother
The laws of the brother Humanity
are harsh my man
Now you're sitting there and
all your life you've been
Apolitical fairy child
Now you're sitting with the politicals
Waiting for the interrogator
To interrogate you
For the politics of power
You know the science of which not
It's cold on the Cuban island prison
Fairy child
You chew on your blues
And you even miss the gilded
gates of the flames of hell

Fairy child

Fairy child...

Queen

Head strong and steadfast junkies
All barter for the clean
They all wait in their plastic lines
To find what color means

Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do know what I mean
Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do know what I mean

I spoke to a girl by the backdoor
She said she'd do anything just to meet you
You know I've seen that smile before
Just in time for a knee to hit the ground
Little girls
Dressed up like French whores
In velvet paintings
Wide eyed
Long nails
They all wanna live the fairy tale

(Chorus)

Did they tear you all up inside
Did they take away your pride
and she cried herself to sleep that night

Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do know what I mean
Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do And you do And you do
know what I mean
Queen wanna be queen
Queen wanna be queen
Queen wanna be queen
Queen wanna be queen

Banished Fairy

Banished Fairy
I have given
the loyal
Servants their
day off
Because I want
to think softly
about you baby
My mother is worried
About the state
of my mental health
And I can't help
Myself because
I have my sights
Firmly fixed on you
You yummy orphan of
The clouds
You alone son of Heaven
You rule my mind
Banished Fairy
I am all alone
by myself tonight
Raise your great wings
And fly to me fairy
Banished Fairy dear
I have time with
Which together we can
Rise again and send your
banishment into
Permanent banishment
That's how much I dare
The surmountable
Challenges facing you
Because I love you Fairy
Banished Fairy
I am waiting for you
To raise your wings and
come and sweep me off
My feet and carry me
Away on the wings of
Your beautiful dreams
To the moon of
Your wonderful dreamland
that lies so far away
In the far flung dream
horizons of your love
strewn holy Fairyland
of my dream fairy

Ice Queen

The Ice Queen in her icy world,

With icy fingers tightly curled,

Around sweet fairy in her gilded cage,

No escape the Ice Queen's rage.

The beginning of a fairy tale no lest,

A fable, a fantasy at best,

A love story to be told,

If I may be so bold.

Now as the story goes,

The Ice Queen has a son.

Whatever the Ice Queen does,

The Ice Prince, the obedient one.

Unbeknownst to the regal Prince,

Lurking in the shadows, unseen, his evil twin.

His jealous heart froze long since,

Witnessing his mother's love, His other twin.

One early morn, the good young Prince,

Riding in the winter wood.

He caught a flicker that convince,

A creature trapped in the ice for good.

The handsome Prince in cautious approach,

Threads gently, the soft new snow.

His icy blues finally encroach,

On a flickering light, a glow.

All this while the evil twin,

Watches like a hawk from afar.

Hiding among the trees, lurking in between.

The plot thickens, a-ha!

As gently as he could,

Like a feather and he should,

Cracks the icy prison, with his sword

To free the glowing creature, his ward.

Pushing away the ice to clear,

It was no creature, he looks near.

A pair of silvery wings,

A little flutter, and then it sings!

What joyful sound, like tinkling bells,

A beautiful harmony, A beguiling sound.

The Prince enchanted, his twin could tell,

The woods echoes the hypnotic sound.

He now could clearly see,

The wings that glow, A singing Fairy.

Emerald green, beautiful eyes,

The Prince, so enamored, sighs.

The kind Prince starts to blow,

His breath caressing the glow.

Gingerly, more like a whisper,

He bends down, tenderly kiss her.

The little Fairy, eternally grateful,

And more than very thankful.

She sings a beautiful tune.

Prince Charming was not immune.

The smittened Prince so entralled,

The charming fairy danced around,

His evil twin hackles raised and riled,

To see his brother's blue eyes drown.

The evil twin rode hard and fast,

Reaching the castle at last,

Striding in to tell the Queen,

What he has just witnessed and seen.

The fairies of the Seven Falls,

Were decades long at war,

Both Ice Queen Fairies, have not thaw

Building barriers, building walls.

The news did anger rise,

The Queen makes haste to ride,

To find her other son, so unwise

Because of her burning pride.

Moments later in the woods,

The angry Queen on icy trails did swoop,

Her cold hands quickly scoop,

The innocent fairy, tied in a loop.

Her son pleaded to let her go,

The enraged Queen loudly said, 'No! '

'But why? ' asked the befuddled Prince,

The fairy did no wrong, he was convince.

His mother Queen without a word,

Knew her son's mind was stirred.

Imprisoned the fairy in a gilded cage.

She seethes with hate and rage.

The bewildered Prince could not understand,

His mother' anger and rigid stance,

To treat his dainty fairy so,

His feelings were very low.

Back to the castle they rode,

The Queen intends to probe,

The poor defenseless fairy,

What horrors will she carry?

It's merely a fantasy in poetry,

Now and forever after.

The ending will always be

'And they lived happily ever after.'

Sorry, O Little Fairy!

O fairy! O fairy! O little fairy!
I extremely feel grief and sorry;
You so heartily gave me the invitation;
I could not attend your celebration.

To come to you I’d the leisure although,
The circumstance did not allow;
I’ve ne'er seen you nor e'er met;
From someone about you heard a lot.

About your mischiefs like a fawn you do,
About your blossom-like smile-
About your tears like the pearl;
And the heart-attracting innocence of you.
Now in heart a wish and on lips a prayer,
O little fairy! I may see you soon somewhere

Don't let me down
Don't let me beg for

Do you hear me fairy lover?
It must be your love

I am after your strange
unusual love when allowed
Hear me say to you
Let me bend down
Allow me once again

My love is the herb
To nurse your fairy heart
With my kiss divine fairy
You have broken through the

A Beautiful Fairy And The Fairy Dust Rain

Around this time of the year
The arrival of Spring is near
The arrival of Spring is almost here
And I'll happily be one with the spirits of nature
I'll completely embrace the magic of spring
As well as the wonder of nature
And the many other worldly pleasures

Around this time of the year
I await the fairy dust rain

Surrounded by trees and flowers
And many other things that are green
I await the arrival of the fairy dust rain
And many other sights of nature just waiting to be seen

A beautiful fairy flutters down from the sky
And lands down in front of me
She's almost as tall as me

We greet each other
And our hopes are the same
As we wait for the fairy dust rain

In the meantime
The beautiful fairy shows me her gifts of magic
And shares her knowledge with me as well

After periods of time have gone by
Fairy dust begins to rain down from the sky

The fairy dust rain has finally arrived
And we share the smiles and laughter

You ask me for a dance
And I don't hesitate to pass up this chance

We dance
Surrounded by flowers
Surrounded by trees
Surrounded by the fairy dust rain

After dancing
We look into each other's eyes
And then up to the skies
As the fairy dust rain continues to fall

Our eyes then return to each other
And we share a hug
You flutter your wings a little
Shaking off some of the fairy dust that's covered them

You tell me you're staying with me
At least for the time being right now

Little by little
We're being lightly covered in the fairy dust rain

Beautiful fairy
I must say that these moments we share
They're memorable and precious
You echo your feelings and sentiments to me as well
As the fairy dust rain continues to fill the air

Side by side
We stand together
Loving what's happening
But most importantly
We enjoy the sight of the fairy dust rain

The Mocking Fairy

'Won't you look out of your window, Mrs. Gill?'
Quoth the Fairy, nidding, nodding in the garden;
'Can't you look out of your window, Mrs. Gill?'
Quoth the Fairy, laughing softly in the garden;
But the air was still, the cherry boughs were still,
And the ivy-tod neath the empty sill,
And never from her window looked out Mrs. Gill
On the Fairy shrilly mocking in the garden.

'What have they done with you, you poor Mrs. Gill?'
Quoth the Fairy brightly glancing in the garden;
'Where have they hidden you, you poor old Mrs. Gill?'
Quoth the Fairy dancing lightly in the garden;
But night's faint veil now wrapped the hill,
Stark 'neath the stars stood the dead-still Mill,
And out of her cold cottage never answered Mrs. Gill
The Fairy mimbling, mambling in the garden.

Knowing That Fairy Tales Are Not True

in knowing that fairy tales are not true,
do we stop believing?

do we end up as hard rocks
muted stones and
slimy moss because we cannot believe
in gossamer wings anymore?

fancy has a function
and reality has a reason

too much reality kills, you must remember this
a little fairy with the wings of the dragonfly
comes on a full moonlit night
just to cheer you along

nothing more, nothing more
i believe in fairies,
part of the magical moment
in the life
of the tired man,
whose bones crack
whose face is twisted.

someone says,
and i hope i shall remember this always
when one stops believing,
another fairy in fantasy land is dying

Fairy Dust

Here
See the little queer
There's a volunteer
Dont you think he should get a haircut now
Like in the Marines
All the magazines
Got a way for everyone to shape up
You don't wanna fall behind
Choking on a cloud of fairy dust - fairy dust
Now it's only greed and lust
And pride and lust
And a few other sins
No
See the cherry lips
Hands on the hips
Anyone would your name was Oscar Wilde
Think you're pretty smart
Poetry and art
Put him testosterone and vodka
calling for the man of steel
to blow you faggots into fairy dust - fairy dust
now it's only greed and lust
and pride and lust
and a few other sins
we're
happy to be gay
showing you the way
gotta get your head your hear you toso hard
join another gym
loose your pseudonym
soon we'll all be strait but only more so
tell me who's you're gonna find
to spinkle on a little fairy dust - fairy dust

and pride and lust
and a few other sins

A Tightwad Tooth Fairy Called Griselda

There was a tightwad tooth fairy
and Griselda was her name.
When you had your teeth out
and put them under the pillow
she would come along and pinch them
and leave nothing in return.
You would wake up in the morning;
look under your pillow for some dosh,
but under your pillow was empty there.
As you looked at the empty space,
you knew straight away
that Griselda the tightwad tooth fairy
had been about.
Complaints followed complaints
to fairly land
about this tightwad tooth fairy.
The fairy council
had never heard of such a thing.
A tightwad tooth fairy.
Oh, this could never be.
They had never had a case
of a tooth fairy leaving no money.
Something had to be done.
Griselda was called
and stood before the council
and asked to explain why
she was a tightwad
and left no money behind.
The miserly tooth fairy
thought for a moment.
She was saving some money
to buy herself a fairy yacht,
only it took a lot of teeth
to purchase one of them.
For her crimes,
she was sent to work with Santa’s Elves.
She sits in the toy factory
banging happily away,
because if the truth were known
she didn’t want to be a tooth fairy anyway.

Ever After

The life of a fairy tale.
Can be like our own.
The ending is happy.
But the story unknown.

The story begins.
Then there’s always a twist.
You can’t get to the ending.
Unless you persist.

Some stop reading the story.
When things, they look bleak.
They don’t have the strength.
Their hearts are too weak.

So they grab a new tale.
Then the reading begins.
If it ends in the middle.
Then nobody wins.

So things just seem hopeless.
Because we always quit.
We don’t finish the story.
To the fear we submit.

God tells us, “Hold on.”
“The ending is near.”
“Just keep reading the story.”
“Don’t give in to fear.”

“Believe in My ending.”
“Believe and then hope.”
“That the hero will climb up.”
“From the end of his rope.”

And so you continue
The prince finds his queen
The greatest fairy tale ending
You ever had seen

But had you not finished.
The true ending unknown.
The prince would not have a queen.
To share with his throne.

Fairy tales are filled.
With both sadness and laughter.
Where you finish the story.
Becomes your ever after.
