Long Abandoned Muse
Fish stuck in a kiss who are now singing forever,
Like over used words at the lip
Of the mountain in
Deep snow, knowing nothing about the moon, who
Is just there-
Just over the rise, where the angelic stags are rutting
In anamorphous movements-
There, like gold near the saddle, rising high
And swayed back like gods over
My childhood,
Like the golden sweat won upon a long hike,
And nudes upon nudes kiss,
Like kindergarten and goldfish all over my
Missbehaved childhood, but now- oh now, my

The merciless fire devoured
The house of my childhood games.
I needed to overcome sorrow,
And sailed on the golden-mast boat.
I played on my beautiful flute to
The high rising moon in the sky.
The moon, by my singing, got saddened,
And covered herself with a cloud.
Then I turned my eyes to the mountain,
But had no more songs on my mind.
It seemed : all the joys of my childhood
Were burned in the flames of my home.
I wished in despair for the refuge
That water could offer to me.
A sudden reflection of a woman
Slid by like the one of the moon.

My Childhood Faded Away
My childhood has faded away
In those days I had no bills to pay.
I close my eyes and remember those days.
Childhood dreams filled with love,
Hide and seek, my baseball glove,
No heavy chains,
Warm summer rains.
Fiery dragons, flying high in the sky,
Pirate ships, Captain Bligh.
Munching sweet apples,
Candy peppermint,
Rosy red cheeks,
Innocense.
Long ago, not by chance,
Under my bed, monsters danced.
Through the years a backward glance,
Wishing I had my bell bottom pants.
Eyes so bright,
Flying a kite,
Birds singing cheeful songs.
Quiet days, star filled nights,
Winter snow, on frozen lawns.
I wish that I was back today,
But I've put that life far away,
My childhood moments that I recall,

Reviving Childhood
Femininity must have tapped
Childhood's scrapbook. Pink-colored scrapbook.
Inside it –
Lies Childhood's vibrant drawings
Under thin plastic blankets. Where is she now?
The brown-haired
Tan one –
Or was she the blonde?
How many eras it's been since
I've seen her last!
Being Imagination herself –
I flip through
The scrapbook like a photo album.
My friend Childhood's markered-in picture –
Wide-eyed
At me stares –
Cat-like –
Baby-like –
Back at her
Date with Fate.
Her blonde and brown short hair
Sweeps horizontally across her forehead.
Her wings remind me of her
Angelic Death –
But I place a pale
Frail finger on the plastic
Blanket over the cream paper.
Over Childhood's darker cream hand –
Holding it –
Pulling it out of the captive page –
Smoothing it over like folded clothes
Until the fingers uncurl
Long enough to reach Freedom's moon.
