This Years Kisses

Irving berlin
This years crop of kisses
Dont seem as sweet to me
This years crop just misses
What kisses used to be
This years new romance
Doesnt seem to have a chance
Even helped by mr. moon above
This years crop of kisses is not for me
For Im still wearin last years love

Through The Years

Through the years, there will be laughter and smiles
Pain and sorrow too
But i will be going through it with you

Through the years, there will be road trips and vacations
Excitement and adventure
But the only thing making them enjoyable is because i'll be with you

Through the years there will be love and romance
Dinners and movies
But the only thing keeping the flame lit is our undying passion

Through the years there will be weddings and receptions
Futures and joyous memories too
But I won't forget the time when we said 'I DO'

Through the years there will be new life and happiness
Late nights and early mornings
But as long as we're by each others side, we'll be fine

Through the years there will be scraps and bruises
Band-aids and kisses
But we'll be there to help them up when they fall

Through the years there will be teenage rebellion and loud music
Fights and rough nights
But we said that no matter what happens we'll never leave each other

Through the years there will be sickness and disease
Doctors and medication
But we'll make it

Through the years there will be heartache and tears
Death and grievances
But I will hold your hand and help you through all of lifes fears

Through the years we'll grow gray and old
Our children will have children of their own
But know this, beyond the grave I will always love you

Death leaves Us Who Behind homesick

death
unearths
years
and days
to allow us
the liberty
to cry over
kisses, smiles,
hugs, advice
now edified
as eternal graces
in darkness
and private
sobs are shed
until the days
and years
bury
the kisses, smiles
hugs again
deep within
our recesses
burial and life
a ballgame
for the dead once
for the living
- on and on

Sweet Kisses

Couldnt look me in the eye
He apologizes
He didnt make enough to take me out tonight
I beg him not to worry
Please dont turn away
I dont need a world of riches
I just need a little time with you and
Chorus
Sweet kisses
All I really need is
Sweet kisses
Thats what moves me
His lips are pure emotion
He smiles because he knows
How much I love the way he makes me feel inside
He answers all my wishes
Who could ask for more
Doesnt have to say I love you
All I need he tells me with his
Chorus
He heals me, he touches me down to my soul
My hearts beating out of control
I just need a little time with you
Chorus
Sweet kisses baby
Its all I really need from you
Dont need your money baby
Just want you time now baby
Cause thats what moves me honey
Sweet kisses

Love Out Grew Us

Our love out grew us
as the years tumbled by,
our teenage romance faltered
as new day began
until all that was left
were the remnant of a love
that could never have been.
Old now and much more wise
we can still look back with younger eyes
and look at the joy that our first love brought.
Remembering the smouldering kisses
before the fire went out.
Remembering the promises we made
that faded as the years went by.
Remembering the day
love out grew us
and went another way.

Years 1

For years I let the torment go on
Years I let you get in my head
Years I had to cry myself to sleep
your out now and last night
what you did to me replayed in my head again
I told myself i wasn't going to let it happen but it did
For years I have lived in scared quarters
For years I have looked for your face
For years I have never felt safe
For years I have remembered

What Are You Doing New Years Eve?

Maybe its much too early in the game
Aah, but I thought Id ask you just the same
What are you doing new years
New years eve?
Wonder whose arms will hold you good and tight
When its exactly twelve oclock that night
Welcoming in the new year
New years eve
Maybe Im crazy to suppose
Id ever be the one you chose
Out of a thousand invitations
You received
Aah, but in case I stand one little chance
Here comes the jackpot question in advance:
What are you doing new years
New years eve?

Farewell

We left the house! No! Lost it!!
To repay our growing debts
Three years of drought and
three years of flood
In the vageries of weather
we poor farmers withered
Sweat dried; returns eluded
Crop loans intact remained

With one last look
At the doors locked
We bid farewell to the
sweet home we held
So dear for many a decade
And reached the open world
To join our own crowded creed
Of former farmers in dire need
To eke livelihood as casual labour
In the same fields we once owned

Years of Tears

Years of tears for no ears to hear, lonely for years am I
Years of tears for no ears to hear in silence they dropp and die
Years of tears, hidden deep, I cannot weep, nor cry.
Years of tears, for many fears of dying alone, I sigh.
Years of tears which no one hears as many years go by.
Years of tears in the lonely sky, my tears grow wings and fly.
Years of tears, my smile shines, through its little lines, I lie.
Years of tears, my somber peers through my melancholy eye
Tears of tears, Years of Years, in my soul, I tie.
Years of tears for no ears to hear my tears weep goodbye….

I've played heavies for years and years and years. I was bald. I came to Hollywood. I did a play about junk. I was a pusher, so I played pushers for years and years and years. I did war movies and things like that.

To me you are the person (sonnet)

To me you are the person
that comes once in a lifetime;
there is a new fire burning in me
in my early years of age,
like a teenager I want to cover you with kisses,
your humanity catches me offside
and now that the years are drawing their lines,
I move nearer to the other side
but there are days that keep lingering
as if there is something more in being together,
constantly my life is getting some serenity
and even with my biggest enemy I have sympathy
while with you I am infatuated
and want to reconnoitre new horizons of love.

Why Just a Month

400 years of oppression
200 years of slavery
100 years of racism
50 years of segregation
We marched for days
Boycotted for weeks
Fought for years
And we only get one month out of 12
What the hell

I May Have Years To Go

I MAY HAVE YEARS TO GO

I may have years to go-
Many many years
In which I will continue to fail
In the same way
I have failed
In the many more years before.

The truth is
God could give me hundreds of years more
I would still be capable
Only of being myself -

Blessed are those given the gift of greatness by God
And long-troubled those who would be given it
And are not.
