Lit Candle Flickering

The cool touch of winter frosted the window
the candle's lit wave washed over the glass
in a sheen of droplets
like pristine show flakes
and the whisperer drew down to remark
on the weather and
suddenly the visions-remained
no where to be seen...
Why now? - there was no window
the glass merely concrete slabs and
the droplets coarse sweat on my brow.

As if a magical barrier had been drawn

When I was a teenager
my younger brother
used to wait
until I was in the bathroom

to say cheeky things to me
and to look for trouble
from the outside
beyond the frosted glass.

I’ll beat you up
I used to declare
and he would laugh
and say something more

as if a magical barrier
had been drawn
between the two of us

and it went on
till one day
that I saw his outline
against the glass.

He said what he thought
and I didn’t let him pass
and pieces of frosted glass
shattered and
flew away
while I knocked him
through the window
against the head
and that was the last of it

The Case Of The Window Pain

an astute answer
discerning shrewd
would surely mention

this wit must be
personification
of a window pane

as for the window pain
perhaps the window is shamed
perhaps the window is dirty

as for the window pain
perhaps the glass is cracked
small large cracks streaked

as for the window pain
perhaps cricket ball punctured
victim of circle game holed

as for the window pain
perhaps the window is broken
glass shards bear crime witness

as for the window pain
perhaps window frame rots
an old window in house derelict

as for the window pain
perhaps the window witnesses
child abuse domestic scenes violent

Rain

Sliding down the window
Rivulets running down
Droplets chasing each other
To the ground below.

Shivering in the cool of the room
Looking out on the world
Book in lap
Memories to the fore

Rain now pelting on the glass
A soothing sound of future and past
Musical notes, the raindrops beat
Pounding out a song to your heart

Rain now so hard
The drops move up
Wash away your thoughts
Now you are mad.

Outside Your Window

Outside Your Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I feel the seconds slowly pass,
Whilst you I anxiously await.

And behind the glowing glass;
I glimpsed a fading candlelight.
And I with hope was filled and so:
Wished I for love and life this night.

Outside Your Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I see through the looking glass,
To find my missing soulmate.

And when the light finally flew;
When darkness swamped the room:
A wide smile on my face drew;
And waited I for you to bloom.

Outside Your Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I feel my feelings all amass,
As I your beauty contemplate.

Seconds felt forever;
Nor beauty I did see.
All alone my eyes did glitter;
Whilst wondering where you would be!

Outside Your Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I walked on in your impasse;
Wishing it's not yet too late.

Outside Your Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I lonesome stood for long alas!
And didn't notice your window grate.

Outside Your Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I tried to drag out of that morass,
Myself; and my lost senses locate.

Outside Her Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I watched my heart swiftly by a lass,
Gets stolen; and did my soul sedate.

Outside Her Window;
I still pass by everyday.
Outside Her Window;
I can't just turn and walk away.

Outside Her Window;
I still have hope that she might show.
Outside Her Window;
I watch my life pass by so slow.

Outside Your Window;
And in the hands of fate:
I once awaited you alone all night.
But now I know: it's just too late!

Windows

Frost circles, on a glass.
I watched.
Hour upon hour.
Through a day's loneliness.

Insignificant seeds.
Sat by the window.
Traced its essence.
Into the air.

As mist disappeared.
A vapor of breath.
Onto nothingness.
Has translated.

Thinking of life.
I blew my heat.
Onto the glass.
Time and again.

Drew your name.
Into its frost.
Some pictures.
To vanish.

With the next breath.
Float into the sullen air.
There, I picture your face.
Those haunting eyes.

Saw within them.
Your face.
A reflection.
Of my own.

Candle flickers...

Dancing light.
Reflecting across the wall.
Frozen windows.
Playing, on its icy roses.

Side-to-side.
Around it goes.
Until dizzy from tossing.
Turning again I shall go.

Wonder, what evil thus.
Would keep me awake?
Conscious, through the night.
Prevent my escape.

From still and frost.
To the dreamland, I hope.
Within the window, I peer.
See my eyes, through thine.

Into the window, I stare.
Both souls thus bare.

Breaking Glass

Someone told me youre never gonna win
Fools paradise is where Ive always been
So I told myself Ive got a heart of stone
Not that strong I said, cant do it all alone
Tell me your dreams and Ill tell you what they mean
Cos we live, we love, we learn
You cant touch me
You cant hold me
Loving me through your window panes
But I can reach you
I can see you
Trying to hide your love away
We can be breaking glass together
Someone told me, you gotta let it go
A little weakness is strength dont ya know
So I tell myself feelin left today
I wont lose to the pain of yesterday
Tell me your dreams and Ill tell you what they mean
Cos we live, we love, we learn
(cos we live, we love, we learn)
You cant touch me
You cant hold me
Loving me through your window panes
But I can reach you
I can see you
Trying to hide your love away
We can be breaking glass together
(together, together)
I love the sound of breaking glass
(I love the sound of breaking glass)
I love the sound of breaking glass
(I love the sound of breaking glass)
I love the sound of breaking glass
(I love the sound of breaking glass)
You cant touch me
You cant hold me
I can reach you
I can see you

A Radio With Guts

it was on the 2nd floor on Coronado Street
I used to get drunk
and throw the radio through the window
while it was playing, and, of course,
it would break the glass in the window
and the radio would sit there on the roof
still playing
and I'd tell my woman,
"Ah, what a marvelous radio!"
the next morning I'd take the window
off the hinges
and carry it down the street
to the glass man
who would put in another pane.
I kept throwing that radio through the window
each time I got drunk
and it would sit there on the roof
still playing-
a magic radio
a radio with guts,
and each morning I'd take the window
back to the glass man.
I don't remember how it ended exactly
though I do remember
we finally moved out.
there was a woman downstairs who worked in
the garden in her bathing suit,
she really dug with that trowel
and she put her behind up in the air
and I used to sit in the window
and watch the sun shine all over that thing
while the music played.

A Stain Glass Window

A stained glass
window once
cracked
remained so for
years.

Still beautiful
but with a small
crack.

Yesterday an
explosion
happened.

The glass came
crashing
down around my
feet.

Shards were lying
everywhere.
trying to replace
as new.

I finially realize
is unthinkable.

Snowball War

Snowball War.
Three flakes of snow fell on the village, there might
have been a few more, but those I saw landed on
the roof of the car and I saw them melt to droplets
of clear water. On each droplets a tiny rainbow and
my mother´s face when I called and asked for her to
throw down a sandwich with marge and sugar on.
She did, often- I´m not a football keeper- it landed in
the snow which was more than tiny flakes; so what!
Bread and sugar, I was hungry and fighting against
children who had invading our street. And when my
hands were frozen I came up warmed them by the stow
and remember how it hurts to get the circulation back
into my hands.

A Glass Of Water Please

and so the story wants to end itself with a
glass of water.

those who cry after always need
a glass of water.

those whose hearts are broken
those who sob
those who close the window of the niche
those who have nightmares
those who wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning
those who sit on bed and cannot sleep back
always go to the kitchen
open the refrigerator
get a glass and splash
a cold glass of water

this time, i am asking for a glass of water
for i could be
all of the above or you could be one of those
i have described

but who knows we are not one of those
who knows
we are but just anyone who is normally thirsty
and with nothing to ask
simply ask
for a glass of cold water.

and cheerfully, we do not forget to say
please....

A Poem Sliding Down the Glass-pane

I look around
And retrieve to
My regular corner
The glass widow
Overlooking the sky

Everyday
Every afternoon
I looked at the baked glass
With its coat of dirt
In expectation

The clear sky
Always giving me
An apologetic glance

Lo, this morning
As the clouds dimmed
The corner, hope revived

The sky didn't let me down
The rain lashed and lashed

The rain slid down the glass-pane
Like water droplets
On the freshly bathed skin!

Weather Be Good Weather Be Bad

as i look out the window
i see the sun rise
before my very eyes
i feel its warmth & power upon my face

as i look out the window
i see the rain fall
before my very eyes
i feel its cool calming effect on my soul

as i look out the window
i see the snow fall
before my very eyes
i feel that cold bitterness on my skin

as i look out the window
i see the trees sway
before my very eyes
i feel the love it offers surround me

as i look out the window
i relise that
weather be good, weather be bad
i'm alive

Fine Rain Droplets

n the amid of dried ground

There stands a peasant in solitude

Both his eyes opened towards the sky

To be merciful from the black clouds.

Then it started raining with full grace

And he felt the happiness at its green

And chuckled for the merciful droplets

The round shaped droplets of rain

Falling from the tip of the every leaf

Drenched the hard dusty red soil.

The earth stretched its lap to welcome

The rain to sweep away the drought.

Once again the fragrance of motherland

Spread all over the draught area.

Each and every graceful droplets falling

To sweep away the pity droplets of tears.

A Candle In The Window

Written by susan longacre, walt aldridge, and gary baker
Theres a road that I remember leading to a special place
Where the door was always open to a smiling face
Theres a picture on the mantle of a boy that looks like me
Its always the same, theres a stocking with my name
And a candle in the window, a flame against the night
Theres a candle in the window, its like gods perfect light
It dont take a lot of money to know what riches are
Just a candle in the window
Maybe its just wishful thiking I can hear the sleigh bells ring
Almost taste teh pie shes baking, its christmas eve
And theres a candle in the window, a flame against the night
The candle in the window, its like gods perfect light
It dont take a lot of money to know what riches are
Just a candle in the window and christmas in your heart
Wherever the years may take me no matter how far I go
Theres going to be a candle burning, its always nice to know
It dont take a lot of money to know what riches are
Just a candle in the window and christmas in your heart

Winter Frost

winter frost forms on the window
a window that looks out at the soal
this winter comes with no mercy
the winter that calls itself a friend
it graps and holds its prey dear
starting to extract all of it's warmth
then suddenly it lets go
throwing it's prey out the door
leaving the prey to look through the window
only to find winter frost apon it's soul

Dream snow

twinkle like little star in the heaven,
droplets fall; wish and glide call a
shooting star bless by night that
makes the day

oh! wonderful cool breathe move
comes from the sky, for the little soul
wants to fall, touching lives that never
full

amazing fun makes the ground
rich of joy, leads it face run so fine;
though melt as it’s gone and see as it
glows, for a beautiful morning snow
always gone

cheer and care, crystallize snow
patiently wait as you go hands and feet
touch the ground, cool little happy
droplets wish to see

awesome thirst makes the will free …

Glass war, glass war, glass war, glass war, it's a glass war
Glass war, glass war, it's a glass war
Glass war, glass war
It's a glass war
Cause you can see right through the poisen
It's a glass war
Cause we all know the activeties
It's a glass war
Cause it's made of smoke and mirrors
It's a glass war
It's a glass war
It's a glass war
Cause only poor men are dyin in the
Gas war
Cause we know why it was started
It's an ass war
Cause the president's an asshole
It's an ass war
It's a glass war
It's a gas war
Cause the starters are all victims of the
Glass war
The slogan men were starters of the
Last war
Now the southern men are starters of the
Glass war
It's a Glass War
It's a Glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war

Window

I was staring out the window
The whole time he was talking to me
It was a filthy pane of glass
I couldn't get a clear view
As he went on and on
It wasn't the outside world I could see
Just the filthy pane that I was looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I was never focused on just one thing
My eyes got fixed when my mind got soft
It may looked like I'm concentrated on a very clear view
But I'm as good as asleep
I bet you didn't know
It takes a lot of it away if you do
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
Because the fact in fact
Whatevers in front of me is covering my view
So I can't see what I'm seeing in fact
I only see what I'm looking through
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
So again I've done the right thing
I was never worried about that
The answer's always been in clear view
But even when the window's clean
I still can't see for the fact
That when it's clean it's so clear
I cant tell what I'm looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
I had to break the window
It was in my way
Better that I break a window
Then forget what I had to say
Or miss what I should see
Or breaking him or her or me

Forcing The Window To Flow

At the window, rain drives
Drizzles and drizzles glow and go
Pushing and loosing the window to and fro
And some-one asked, who is at the window?
Pushing and pushing the window and dash?

In the dark of the night free and roll
Going for the next fresh candle of the day
At the window a hand goes and more, who is at the window?
She cried and roared the mall
And forced the window and banged and go.
