Letter to my graduated sister
There comes a time in life,
when people have to leave the path they had followed.
They have to leave what they have known all their life,
and go out into the wide world.
When school is finished,
graduation passed,
you go on with your life,
and go to college.
You work for your future,
to get the best job you can get.
You've dreamt of the that job all your life,
or chose your study at the last minute.
None of that matters,
as long as you keep moving forward,
and keep your eyes on the prize,
your dream job,
and I'll know you'll succeed.

Too Cool for School
This poem is inspired by my teenage daughter's current attitudes to her studying. Parents, you've heard it all before!
Don’t want to stand out and look absurd
That’s only for a geek or a nerd
I wanna look cool and not a jerk
There’s loads of time left in life to work
Study? You’re joking. I’d look a fool
Can’t you see I’m too cool for school!
Leave me alone, stop crowding my space
Yeah, whatever, now get outta my face
Don’t need you, find someone else to advise
All you ever do is criticize
My marks aren’t that bad, I’m off to the pool
Don’t you know I’m too cool for school
Maths, languages, science, I don’t get it
I’d rather watch some of the guys that are fit
Or go out shopping or just stay in bed
I’m a teenager, not halfway dead!
I’ll study later, my life’s too full
You don’t understand I’m too cool for school
Well I’m finished school now but I’m not overjoyed
Its not so cool being unemployed!

Graduation is coming faster then you know
soon it will be may and we will all be alone

Leave The Past And Moving On With The Future
What does it means to
Leave the past, and moving on with future?
It means you have to just let it go
Even it going hurt and feel so much in pain
You have other things looking forward too
If you love something so much
It will come back to you
It does it meant to be and if don't then just move on
I have finally learn my mistakes after yesterday
It's was perfect day off
I want to be who I am
I changes so much just to fit in
That's not like me
Time to figure out what I really want
What does it means to

Time is running out
No going back and forth in path

I, once, dreamt a dream that dreamers oft dream
Of loving and living a lovely life
A house, my children and a caring wife

Higher Education...
The place were much was learned; The School Of Life.
A far different place than papers, books, and homework.
The School of Life, is a never ending, when it comes to lessons.
In The School Of Life, I have learned, that not
all, is ever learned, or comprehended.
The School Of Life, often teaches one, some bitter and
disappointing lessons.
This school, reveals much in the way of surprises. Many
that of a happy nature and some, devastating.
Somehow, The School Of Life, teaches one, to keep going.
To try...try and try again. We learn that much is gained
through tenacity. We learn it matters not how many times
one is knocked down, for it is how many times we get
up, that is the test in this school.
We learn of mans inhumanity to man. We learn that in
helping our fellow human beings, there is much reward.
We learn, that The School Of Life, has no graduating day.
We learn, that we remain, an ongoing student of education.
The School Of Life, does have its rewards; a diploma of
knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

The Old Dream
NAY, tell me not. I will not know.
Because of her my life is bare,
A waste where blow-seeds spring and grow

Tracks We Leave Behind
In a hundred years from now
when we are not around,
I wonder if we’ll be remembered
for the tracks we leave behind,
our legacy for our short time here.
Will our meagre efforts
be rewarded with immortal fame
or will they be extinguished
like the candles flame?
We can only live in hope.
One day in the distant future
will a student over our work ponder
of how our life was reflected
in the tracks we leave behind
and the confusion we sometimes feel.
Let’s hope that future student
sees all our love within
the words we carefully chose
to represent our life

Come with her to the school graduation party
It is father and daughter dancing together
The last dance of the evening
And that is her school
Graduation party
She made it
She has her diploma now
A new life for
Her
Will start after the summer
It will be college time
There are tears and happiness
That fills the air

3 Months
He is like a song.
i just want to listen to him all day.
i want to see him so bad.
the last time i saw him was June of 07.
me and you have been together for 3 months.
on may 18th 08 it was 3months.
on Feb.18th 08 is when my life changed
it changed all for the good and none for the bad.
life is pain.
you just have to learn how to deal with it
eventually instead of always running away from it
you just have to ease your way threw it.
when you realize you can the world don't give up.
keep moving forward.
you don't always need money to get what you want and need.
its all up to who you know.
and who you open your door to.
when i graduate out of high school in 2011
i want to take a year off and see the world.
then im going to go to college and graduate from there in 2016
then from there i am going to go to law school.
threw all of that become a famous poet
after law school i am going to be a lawyer
who is also a poet.
well if you already write poetry
then you already are a poet.
so all you need to do is get your poetry published.

I Have Been Saved
I have been saved; I have been saved, truly by a Holy Righteous God,
Given a new heart and a new life, to leave the path I once had trod.
For I was born with a heart of flesh that was truly tainted with sin,
But The Lord in His Mercy reached down and changed me from within.
When The Gracious Holy Lord chose to touch and circumcise my heart,
He also chose to leave me in the world but He also set my life apart.
Now I no longer have my old desire to continue my life of wicked sin,
For as a new creature found in Christ I began a new life sure in Him.
The Lord also set me upon a new path and gave me a brand new start,
And the only way to please my Lord is to seek Him with all my heart.
The Word of God tells me to seek first His Kingdom and Righteousness,
This path leads me to gain His Wisdom, so for Him I can be a witness.
If we truly believe in Christ a definite change will be in our heart,
As this is a sign to unbelievers and a witness of a brand new start.
This change that occurs is manifested by The Spirit we can not see,
It's The Holy Spirit Who sealed me with a New Life that set me free.
For the change to my life took place the very moment of my Salvation,
And this new work was fully accomplished by The Lord of all Creation.
Although it only took a brief moment to accept The Lord's Salvation,
A Sanctified Life to be used by The Lord is my lifelong obligation.

Decline of Life
School days seemed
to last for ever,
when in the spring-
time of our life.
Friends so many
we had as young
people, we were
just gilded youth.
We descended into
the summer time
of our youth,
dreams of hope.
Marriage came
for some,
others passed by,
life went on anyhow.
Life is like
a freeway,
going by so,
fast.
Fall of our life
has arrived on time,
as were working
harder than ever.
Decline of life
is moving toward
us, with no hope
of stopping it.
Sooner or later
we all reach
this place
in the road of life.
Retired are we
now, finding things
to do in this
winter time of life.
Decline of life
is here on schedule,
the winter is over,
and so are we.
College
It's something new, excited and different to look forward
This is what I been waiting for
It's where dreams begin
College
Help me prepared for life, but my high school didn't
It changes my life in so many ways
I feel confidence, happier, and independent
I doing one thing I love the most, and it's going to culinary school
I learn so much in one semester already
The teachers want me to success in life and help me so much
It's hard to catch up
The feeling I can't even describes when I first came to this
College
It's fit my schedules and my classes is only couple days a week
I can take morning, afternoon, or night classes
I am doing this for myself, my life, dreams, hope and becoming adult

Life as you know it can change,
Life can change in a second,

life is where ever we stand for it
life is just a simple journey
