Let bad banished be by better
Books banned scarce banished stay, nor burnt to naught,
Thoughts nor ideas stay captured to a jail,
Nor art if censored stay for long unsought,
As all inquests condemned are to derail;
Societies if they be left free to fail,
At times tense in dissent and friction-prone,
Like a turbulent ocean caught on gale,
Be proof: freedom breathes big on its own.
No art obscene is, book, nor painting drawn,
For all obscenity, as beauty, lies
In beholder's eyes that see what's ere sown,
As most minds scarce from their base level rise.
Hard by far a better bailiff to see
To bad idea than one that better be.

Much of the intolerance seen in the Indian society today, it seems,
is stage-managed and promoted by party politics with a view to
win votes. Take the recent ban on Salman Rushdie on attending a
Lit Fest in Jaipur. Take the court cases on the well-known painter
M F Hussain, who had to stay away from his country of birth till
he died in London a few months back; take Taslima Nasreen of
Bangladesh being driven out of West Bengal; take banning of
books, paintings, and movies, even historical essays. But have
they remained banned? What is banned seldom becomes banal.
It becomes for sure better known, if not a best seller.
The way out is indicated in the couplet concluding this Sonnet.

A myth may better be than truth
Stripping Santa Clause of the crown of God
Would scarce him a lesser-loved old man make,
Nor faulting Truth Fairy to face vile fraud,
They are not they are for mere title's sake;
Some myths that motivate, inspiring youths,
Far better be than fire-betested truths.
Armstrong was always strong, doping or not,
He has done to the world a world of good,
Rekindling hearts of those by cancer wrought,
That they fight, life cured of old attitude;
Starved is the world of such role models rare,
O to challenge hard truths with unique dare.
Scarce is the world at war with fairness creams,
Hair transplants, nor cosmetic skin routine—
To look nigh better yon natural means,
Nor is seeding by tube satanic sin;
The world's fine with photo-shopped touch-up look,
Images cooked ere loaded on Facebook.
But a li'le trace of banned drug is too much,
To one not live who'd with crippling crutch.

I Caught Fire
Seemed to stop my breath
My head on your chest
Waiting to cave in
From the bottom of my...
Hear your voice again
Could we dim the sun
And wonder where we've been
Maybe you and me
So kiss me like you did
My heart stopped beating
Such a softer sin
(I'm melting, I'm melting)
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
And I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
Now
Never caught my breath
Every second I'm without you I'm a mess
Ever know each other
Trust these words are stones
why cuts aren't healing
Learning how to love
I'm melting (I'm melting)
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
And I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
(Stay with me lay with me now)
You could stay and watch me fall
And of course I'll ask for help
Just stay with me now
Take my hand
We could take our heads off
stay in bed just make love that's all
Just stay with me now
I'm melting (I'm melting)
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
and I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
and I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me lay with me
(Stay with me, lay with me)
In your eyes
Let's sleep till the sun burns out
I'm melting in your eyes (I'm melting in your eyes)
Let's sleep till the sun burns out
I'm melting in your eyes

People keep coming up to me and asking, 'How does it feel to be banned for life?' Banned for life. I wasn't banned for life. There was never a word of suspension, probation or ban in that agreement. It was never meant to be part of it.

Stay
Please stay with me now
Dont you let me go
Ill make it somehow
I got to let you know
That Ill make it
Somehow, some way
Though I wait on the day
What Im doings got to pay
Someway, somehow
My baby, when he cries
Its cause somethings on his mind
This world is full of lies
You and me are one of a kind
The good lord will stand behind every step
We are blind to fate, thats life, thats life
Stay, stay, stay, stay (wont you please)
Stay, stay, stay, stay
It fits, but you cant make it work
Where theres pain, theres got to be hurt
And the green grass grows from the dirt
Yeah, thats a fact of life alright
The good lord stands behind every step
We are blind to fate, thats life, thats life
Stay, oh wont you please
Stay, stay (wont you)
Stay, stay, stay, stay
Stay, stay, stay, stay
Stay, stay (right here)
Stay, stay (dont you go, no no)
Stay, stay (oh no no)
Stay, stay (stay baby baby please stay)
Stay, stay (right here, right here, right here)
Stay, stay (I want you to stay right here)
Stay, stay (we can stay here, together, together yeah)
Stay, stay (dont listen to what people say)
Stay, stay (stay, stay, listen now yeah)
Stay, stay (stay, yeah yeah now)

Magic And Loss - The Summation
Love is here, here to stay, love is here, here to stay
It gets proven every day, love is here, here to stay
They both love Chinese food, he hates to dress
He loves to play pinball, she wants to play next
She likes her novels long, he's into comic books
They're gilt-edged polymorphous urban but somehow it works
Love is here, here to stay, love is here, here to stay
It gets proven every day, love is here, here to stay
She likes Truman Capote, he likes Gore Vidal
He likes Edgar Allan Poe, she's into Mean Joe Greene
She thinks eating meat's disgusting, he likes hot dogs
She's into Gestalt therapy, while est and the vest just make him ill
but love is here to stay
Love is here, here to stay, love is here, here to stay
It gets proven every day, love is here, here to stay
Love is here, here to stay, love is here, here to stay
It gets proven every day, love is here, here to stay

~Please Lord~
Dear Lord, please let school be out!
Then the whole wide world will say hurray in one big shout
But even More please let school be Banned,
So we can sit here being fanned.
Oh lord please just let school be banned!
OH please let it just be forbidden!
And all the school books hidden.
Just dear Lord just let this one pray be given,
Then let our heart be driven.
Oh Lord please just let school be forbidden!

Stay '81
Verse:
Am I just dreaming or did you walk through my door?
Do you still feel the same way that you did before?
Did you come to bring me sorrow?
Like all those wasted days
Let's not think about tomorrow
You can stay
Am I just dreaming or did you say you have to go?
If you can't stay forever, I don't wanna know
There's no need to talk about it
The way things used to be
I'm not living here without you
(Chorus:)
Won't you stay, stay darlin'
You could stay, stay darlin'
Won't you stay, stay darlin'
You could stay, stay darlin'
You could stay, stay, stay darlin'
You could stay, stay, stay darlin'
(repeat)
No, no, can't let go
No, no, can't let go
No, no, can't let go
Am I just dreaming?
(verse)
You could stay, stay darlin'
You could stay, stay darlin'
Won't you stay, stay darlin'
You could stay, stay darlin'
(repeat)
You could stay, stay, stay darlin'
You could stay, stay, stay darlin'
(repeat and fade

Don't Go Down
Her own body outlined in chalk
She had seen
Woke up in shock
She had a dream
Stay with me, baby stay
Don't go down
Don't go down
Stay with me, baby stay
Don't go down
Don't go down
But I knew the sense of worthlessness you have to rise above
I fought him off with my love
Called himself commander-in-chief
And her dad
Her mother called me a thief
Stay with me, baby stay
Don't go down
Don't go down
We can spend eternity
And I said I'll find a better place
Come on and move in with me
And I got her to
And as cracked as the Liberty Bell
She was hard
Snowball in hell
I met a girl
I split the scene
The globe had been spun
And her ghost leaned down to kiss me
With a message from the sun
Don't go down
Don't go down
Stay with me, baby stay
Don't go down
Stay with me, baby stay
Don't go down
Stay with me, baby stay

Come To Stay
If you're sad and mad
But glad to be away and free
From all the pain you've known
Inside you feel you've grown
If you take your time
With every leap of faith you'll find
It's easier to grow
With every step you know
Come to stay or stay away
Come to stay or stay away
If you take too long
pretending that there's nothing wrong
Don't waste my time 'cause I'll be fine
Either way you'll see
That who we are what will be
In the end it's time to show
Step up and let me know
Come to stay or away
Come to stay or away
I hope that you can see
Nobody loves you more than me
Come to stay or stay away
Away
Away
Away
While distance grows between us
Every step you take away you take a piece of me
If you say so long
Pretending that there's something wrong
It's all for naught
'Cause I forgot
If in time you find
The only leap of faith was mine
Is it easier to go
Or say we'll never know
Come to stay or stay away
Come to stay or stay away
I hope that you can see
Nobody loves you more than me
Come to stay or stay away
Away
Away
Away - yeah, yeah
Away - yeah, yeah
Away - yeah, yeah
Away - yeah, yeah

We Need Change Feb 15th 2011
Media moguls manage the news so Canadians don’t know,
That binding referendums should be vital for us to go,
And get control of our politicians so reluctant to change,
Who tax and spend and travel and talk and never rearrange.
And Trudeau’s Charter written for “EVERYONE” on earth should change,
Human rights types and their lawyers lined up and no one thinks its strange,
While we are banned from the Security Countil at the UN,
What’s next and when will they do it to us again and again?
If we can kill babies daily at every abortion clinic,
But banned from assisted suicide by some Supreme Court cynic,
Sue Rodriguez did it the properly and way out of our view,
She died but no one knew how or who or where or what she used.

Nothing Is Going To Change
Apparently we are going to have an election soon,
Maybe or maybe not, later this year during a full moon,
Without set-date elections we really don’t know or have a clue,
We have to wait for an obscure political-party move.
Where binding referendums are completely banned and forbidden,
And the idea of propositions, completely overridden,
Where equalization is not allowed in first-past-the-post,
Where party politicians are busy and completely engrossed.
They are strictly forbidden to have an independent thought,
No matter how many US universities they taught,
They have to stay restricted within their own party agenda,
And keep pumping out and repeating the most stupid propaganda.

Set Date Elections Mar 1st,2011
So we are not going to have an election anytime soon,
We don’t have set-date elections now or during a full moon,
Where referendums and propositions are completely banned,
Are you having a problem with this or don’t you understand?
And proportional representation is banned in first-past-the-post,
Though the combined opposition candidates had many more votes,
And you can’t elect your prime minister using his/her name,
The name on the ballot is a party member – not the same.
And first past the post wins in all our elections,
Proportional representation forbidden and no objections,
There is no doubt about it but that the good guys should win,
And most of the other types should all begin again.

Happiness Of A Man
Happiness of a man is not in possibility to chose a woman out of a million,
Happiness of a man is in possibility to allow himself to be with the only loved one.
Out of millions there are hundreds of beauties.
Out of millions there are hundreds of jealous.
Out of millions there are hundreds of desirable.
But… they are not loved.
Out of millions there can be only one loved.
But… what happens in real life?
That one you really love is banned.
She is a wife of your friend,
She is banned by the time,
She is banned by the distance,
She is banned by the pride or prejudice or weakness.

Stay Beautiful
Stay Beautiful
Even if we don’t stay friends
Stay Beautiful
Even if we fall apart
Stay Beautiful
Because you’re going to be someone in life
Stay Beautiful
For me or if not for me
Stay Beautiful
For yourself or for the people you love
Just Stay Beautiful
Because someday you’re going to find the one
You really truly love and she’ll be telling you
To Stay Beautiful too
Stay Beautiful
Because you’re an amazing person and
That’ll never change and
Stay Beautiful
Because you’re one and in a million and
Stay Beautiful
Just to stay the beautiful person
You are today and
Stay Beautiful
Because that’s who you are
You’re Beautiful
