Theatre Of The Absurd
(ian hunter)
My tea turned seven shades darker
As I sit n write these words
And londons gettin paler
In my theatre of the absurd.
You figured for an evening
And you made it all worthwile.
Its seldom people have a job
And even rarer that I smile.
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Teach your children to be them
And never ever ours.
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Someone took the park away
But they left a lonely flower.
And if your songs be classics,
Throw them to the hurd.
Truth is where they came from
And not this theatre of the absurd.
Some say you wanted to play for me
But its only what youve heard
That made you want to capture me
In your theatre of the absurd.
It was not me, I said myself
And you must do so, too.
I hope you have the strength to stay
When Ill be watchin you.
So baby,
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Teach your children to be them
And never ever ours.
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Someone took the park away
But they left a lonely flower.
Oh when I got here back home tonight
Something within me stirred.
Oh it must have been a different kind of play
That touched my theatre of the absurd.
Now Ill be on my way alone
But an interesting thing occurred
See nobody ever shared too much
In my theatre of the absurd.
And there I was back in london,
Thought about history.
It was just like being in school again
But I felt something movin in me.
Hearin just a bit of the future,
Oh its comin and its still blurred
And thats the only thing worth living for
In my theatre of the absurd.
Come on,
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Teach your children to be them
And never ever ours.
Oh play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Someone took the park away
But they left a lonely flower.
(beautiful)
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
(john, come on)
Play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Oh, play me some, (come on, eric) play me some,
Play me brixton power.
Oh, play me some, play me some,
Play me brixton power.

The Melody
Hit in the face by the backrest as I picked up
the chair, a Freudian slip, psychologists say,
token of an unconscious desire to hurt myself,
Abaheidschi-bumbaidschi bum-bum playing
on the radio
We sing you into dreamland, see a star in the
sky as we look back on a year of love, sung by
Austria’s mezzo-tenor Peter Alexander – how
charming, all self-pity gone, forehead swollen,
proud of my bruise
All laughter ran away today, Heino singing again,
hinterher - today I am
The melody of La Paloma Adieu…
Oh mon amour adieu!

Sans le corps et sans âme cest

Do Lack Nothing
Asian classic,
African classic,
American classic,
Canadian classic,
European classic,
Austratian classic,
Like life at the 'four blocks of hell' to share my mind with you.
Vancouver,
The State of Glass;
Of a three-hundred-year-old tree to share my mind with you.
By faith, Abel offered more excellent sacrifice than Cain;
But i will renew my covenant with you my love.
Vancouver! !
Don't throw stones if you are living in a glass house;
Like the voice of the malak gadol,
Walk honestly to all and do lack nothing.

London
Boganvilia fall into the pool
The hard shelled bugs bite my forearm
My right index fingernail chewed to the quick
My cervix is a long scalene
My sprinklers go off at 6pm each day
And sometimes they spray unsuspecting visitors
My pimples are gooses all over my legs
My brow is furrowed and my vision is blurred
And how I do love london
And how I do love london
The birds make guttural sounds and protect me
My friends come to visit and love me a lot
I dont have the energy to fill this
I am lagged from the jet and the 12 hour flight
And how I do love london
And how I do love london
I am intriguied by the boys with the androdonus songs
Sometimes they rhyme sometimes they rhyme not
The steam will smell of eucalyptus in the shower
The hug will feel forced upon you inconsolable thing
And how I do love london
And how I do love london
Deep breaths will not make my brain stand still
To be loved and swallowed are single and depraved
I love speaking french to the taxi drivers
We slept and were cold on the train out of france
And how I do love london
And how I do love london

To The Person I Love
T ranslation:
I don't know anyone
But I know you.
I like you
But you don't know.
I don't see anyone but you
But you don't know I exist.
You have brown hair
And beautiful eyes.
I have blonde hair
And cruel eyes.
You're my opposite
But you're also my soulmate.
You're the person I adore
You're the person I love
But you'll never find out
Because you're to perfect
For someone like me to ask you out.

Toy faite Achil, douce meurtriere mienne,
Qui me navras, donne moy guarison.

La bise mord ta douce main ;
La haine souffle sur ta joie.
La neige emplit le noir sillon.
La lumière est diminuée...
Ferme ta porte à l'aquilon !
Ferme ta vitre à la nuée !
Et puis laisse ton coeur ouvert !
Le coeur, c'est la sainte fenêtre.
Le soleil de brume est couvert ;
Mais Dieu va rayonner peut-être !
Doute du bonheur, fruit mortel ;
Doute de l'homme plein d'envie ;
Doute du prêtre et de l'autel ;
Garde ton sourire vainqueur ;
Bel arc-en-ciel, sors de l'orage !
Garde ton amour éternel.
L'hiver, l'astre éteint-il sa flamme ?
Dieu ne retire rien du ciel ;
Ne retire rien de ton âme !

Tu me desplais, quoy que belle tu soys
Tu me desplais, quoy que belle tu soys,
Me font t'aimer, mais ceste amour me laisse
En ton amour, or me chasse, or m'attire,

Silent Movie
(corky laing/ian hunter)
Well the school bell rings
I carried your things
Getting on the yellow bus
With the whole world watching us
And our love was like a silent movie
Aint got nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
I wish we could have kept it that way
Now the door bell rings
Im gonna get my things
Take another bright (? )
At the lions side
Cause our love was like a silent movie
Aint got nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
Thats the all-american way
Silent movie
And our love was like a silent movie
Theres nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
And thats the all-american way
And our love was like a silent movie
Theres nothing to say
Our love was like a silent movie
I wish we could have kept it that way
Our love was like a silent movie

Our love was like a silent movie
I wish we could have kept it that way

Confide In Me
Written: paul anderson, dave seaman
Je suis loin de toi,
Je t'observe de loin,
Devrais-je te venir en aide,
Qu'importe qui tu es,
Nous sommes tous blesss en amour,
Et nous devons tous porter notre croix,
Mais au nom de la comprhension,
Un problme devrait tre partag,
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Je peux garder un secret,
Et jeter la clef,
Quelques fois pour le lacher,
C'est pour librer nos enfants,
Nous sommes tous blesss en amour,
Et nous devons tous porter notre croix,
Mais au nom de la comprhension,
Un problme devrait tre partag,
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Stick or twist,
The choice is yours,
Hit or miss,
What's mine is yours,
Stick or twist,
The choice is yours,
Hit or miss,
What's mine is yours,
Nous sommes tous blesss en amour,
Et nous devons tous porter notre croix,
Mais au nom de la comprhension,
Un problme devrait tre partag,
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Confide in me (fie toi moi)
Confide in me (fie toi moi)

Soupir
Ne jamais la voir ni l'entendre,
Ne jamais tout haut la nommer,
Mais, fidèle, toujours l'attendre,
Toujours l'aimer.
Ouvrir les bras et, las d'attendre,
Sur le néant les refermer,
Mais encor, toujours les lui tendre,
Toujours l'aimer.
Ah ! Ne pouvoir que les lui tendre,
Et dans les pleurs se consumer,
Mais ces pleurs toujours les répandre,
Toujours l'aimer.
Ne jamais la voir ni l'entendre,
Ne jamais tout haut la nommer,
Mais d'un amour toujours plus tendre
Toujours l'aimer.

Je T’Indique Le Fruit
Je t'indique le fruit qui m'a rendu malade;
Votre miel déguisait de funestes breuvages;

Reste Encore Un Instant
(m. hawker / i. raymonde / revaux / g. molet)
French version of stay awhile
Reste encore un instant
Reste encore, je voudrais te parler
De lamour que jai trouv? cette nuit
Oh yeah
Reste encore un instant
Reste encore, car sans toi
Mon coeur sennuie
Stay awhile
Stay awhile, I want to speak to you
About the love that I found tonight
Oh yeah
Stay awhile
Stay awhile, because without you
My heart is breaking
Every time that you are far from me
Mais si tu veux partir
Moi, je ferai tout pour te retenir
Je voudrais te garder toujours
Prs de moi, chri
But if you want to leave
I, I will do everything to keep you here
Darling, I want to keep you
By my side forever
Ne pars pas, je ten prie
Nous allons recommencer notre amour
Pour toujours
Reste encore un instant
Dont go, I beg of you
We are going to start our love anew
Stay awhile
Oh yeah yeah
Mais si tu veux partir
Moi, je ferai tout pour te retenir
Je voudrais te garder toujours
Prs de moi, chri
But if you want to leave
I, I will do everything to keep you here
Darling, I want to keep you
By my side forever
Ne pars pas, je ten prie
Nous allons recommencer notre amour
Pour toujours
Reste encore un instant
Dont go, I beg of you
We are going to start our love anew
Stay awhile
Oh yeah yeah
Reste encore
Reste encore un instant
Non, non, non
Reste encore avec moi
Come on now
Reste encore un instant
Oh yeah yeah
Stay awhile
Stay awhile
No, no, no
Stay awhile with me
Come on now
Stay awhile

It was november 4th
I last held your hand
It seemed our time would last forever
You said dont ever leave
I thought youd never go
I wish I could just remember your name...
Youre just a memory now
Like all the ones before
But with your pain Ive had to suffer
Your eyes alight with flame
As the picture burns
I hear the screams from long ago
They cry remember, blood-red streaks on
Velvet throats at night
The streetlights fanned our trail of fame
Through
London london
The memories will never leave me
London london
All I see is you
London london
The cries in the night
Keep bringing me to
London london
Calling out to me
Oh theres some things in life I could never face
The worst is being alone
Sometimes I wish I could have taken your
Place my love
You know I dont want to live forever
Oh let me see you standing in the
Shadows once again
Well walk the streets like long ago in
London london
The fire in your eyes will be bringing me to
London london
All I need is you
The cries in the night keep ringing on in
London london
Calling out to you
