My Rhyming Days
Free day Friday,
I like to think of Monday,
While I’m waiting for Sunday,
And swimming on Tuesday,
Drifting on Saturday,
Soon it’s Wednesday,
It’s free day Friday,
Homework Saturday,
Wear my glasses on Sunday,
Take them off on Monday,
Hold someone’s hand on Tuesday,
Do I have to marry someone in Wednesday?
And finally I drink a cup of water on Thursday,
Now I feel like frying things on Friday.
Friday I'm In Love
I don't care if monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and wednesday too
Thursday i don't care about you
It's friday i'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's friday i'm in love
Saturday wait
And sunday always comes too late
But friday never hesitate...
I don't care if monday's black
Tuesday wednesday heart attack
Thursday never looking back
It's friday i'm in love
Monday you can hold your head
Tuesday wednesday stay in bed
Or thursday watch the walls instead
It's friday i'm in love
Saturday wait
And sunday always comes too late
But friday never hesitate...
Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
Spinning round and round
Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's friday
I'm in love

Just Couldnt Wait
I miss her face, but the girl left seven years ago.
Guess I never shouldve let her go.
Thats how I feel because I love her so.
But Im afraid that she will never know.
She just couldnt wait, she said she couldnt wait til some day.
She just couldnt wait, my baby just couldnt wait, no.
She said she couldnt wait til some day, til some day.
Oh, tell me now, where do the broken-hearted go from here.
You missed her love and now youre steering clear.
I aint afraid of nothin but my fear.
The fear that she might see this rollin tear.
She just couldnt wait, she said she couldnt wait til sunday.
She just couldnt wait, my baby just couldnt wait, no.
She just couldnt wait, my baby just couldnt wait, no.
Oh she couldnt wait til sunday no, til sunday.
She just couldnt wait, my baby just couldnt wait, no.
She said she couldnt wait til sunday.
She just couldnt wait, my baby just couldnt wait, no.
She said she just couldnt wait.
You know she just couldnt wait, no.
She said she couldnt wait til sunday, til sunday.
Oh, oh...

Wait Any More
Written by: myles goodwyn
Youre a restless girl
To drive a man insane
With the same old story
You play the same old games
You could always make it easy
But there was no way out
If you want, just say that youre sorry
But theres nothing you can do without
So give a little and take a little for nothing
Show a little and make it something exciting
I just wont take it any more
Im not gonna wait anymore
I just wont take anymore take anymore take anymore from you
Im not gonna wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore
Another restless moment
Another runaround
Almost picture perfect
But no life can be found
Wont you make it easy
So we can play for keeps
Under pressure for the moment
Dont you know what everyone can see
So give a little and take a little for nothing
Show a little and make it something exciting
Ill tell ya
Im not gonna take anymore take anymore from you
I just wont wait anymore I swear this love is through
Im not gonna take anymore take anymore from you
I just wont wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore
So give a little and take a little for nothing
Show a little and make it something exciting
Ill tell ya
I just wont take anymore
I just wont take anymore
Im not gonna take anymore take anymore from you
Im not gonna wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore
Im not gonna take anymore take anymore from you
Im not gonna wait anymore wait anymore from you
Im not gonna take anymore take anymore take anymore take anymore
Im not gonna wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore wait anymore

Everyday happiness means getting up in the morning, and you can't wait to finish your breakfast. You can't wait to do your exercises. You can't wait to put on your clothes. You can't wait to get out -- and you can't wait to come home, because the soup is hot.

In This Town
I could be anywhere else but here
But the rain wont let me go.
Theres a photograph
Hanging on my wall
Of a place Ive never been to...
Ill never make the grade
(feels like sunday everyday)
And I cant stop the rain
(feels like sunday everyday)
What do the papers say?
(feels like sunday everyday)
Get up and go now!
In this town - somethings gotta change.
In this town - somethings gotta change.
Im looking at the world -
Looking for a scene -
Waiting for a day -
Filling in time like Im digging
My own grave...
Ill never make the grade
(feels like sunday everyday)
And I cant stop the rain
(feels like sunday everyday)
What do the papers say?
(feels like sunday everyday)
Get up and go now!
(chorus repeats...)

Baby I Love Your Way
Shadows grow so long before my eyes
And theyre moving across the page
Suddenly the day turns into night
Far away from the city
Well, dont hesitate, cause your love wont wait...
Ooo, baby, I love your way, everyday
Gonna tell you I love your way, everyday
Wanna be with you night and day
Moon appears to shine and light the skies
With the help of some firefly
Wonder how they have the power to shine
I can see them under the pine
But dont hesitate, cause your love wont wait...
Ooo, baby, I love your way, everyday
Gonna tell you I love your way, everyday
Wanna be with you night and day
(solo - on verse) but dont hesitate, cause your love wont wait...
I can see the sunset in your eyes
Brown and grey, blue besides
Clouds are stalking islands in the sun
Wish I could buy one out of season
But dont hesitate, cause your love wont wait...
Ooo, baby, I love your way, everyday
Gonna tell you I love your way, everyday
Wanna be with you night and day

Tests And Homework And Quizzes AND SCHOOL
You know that if there was one thing,
That you could take from school,
It wouldn't be art or math or history,
It would be work.
Those ugly things you want to blow up,
and smash,
and burn,
and crinkle,
and rip,
and tear,
and throw out.
Those things that make you have to remember,
all the stuff you learned before,
and to study, study, study,
'till your eyes fall out.
“Oh, sorry I wasn't paying attention”
and
'Did we learn this? '
never helps when the test monster gives you the paper, And wishes you well.
But you know she doesn't mean that.
She doesn't want us to do good,
she just wants us to hurry so she can give us another test.
And then it's June!
Good that the year's almost over,
But bad 'cause........
FINAL EXAMS
Oh no! ! !
The mother of all tests,
And what did you say? We have to take more than one!
I'm done for.
Your sitting there,
hand clenched on the pencil,
face sweating,
and then BINGO!
You get the answer.
You jump up and scream,
in the silent classroom.
You shout out with joy 'cause they’re all over.
No more exams, or quizzes, or tests, or homework.
You bring up you paper and sit back down.
Then it happens.
Excuse me please come up to the front of the room
Right then and there
DETENTION!
No it’s not detention?
Whoo Hoo! ! ! !
It’s homework
Well that’s just as bad.
You think, No. No. You didn't just say there's still homework? ?
And we have to do it everyday of the summer! !
You have to be kidding me.
“Oh, just strike me down right here and save me from homework! ! “
But wait,
You say it's fun homework,
BLAH,
homework can't be fun,
or joyous,
or exciting,
or awesome,
or amusing,
or entertaining,
JUST HORRIBLE! ! !
“So we have to do fun homework? ? “
“What is it? “
It is to have fun?
And stay safe? ?
“No, you must be kidding.”
Your not kidding! Really! ! Cool! !
Well see you next year!
If I can stop having fun and come back!
GOOD BYE SCHOOL AND TESTS! ! !

Do This For Yourself
Waking up and giving 'thanks',
Should dawn...
At the crack of the morning.
And waking up to say a prayer,
Would daily rid with a forgetting...
Those moans one groans to go on.
Appreciating more of life,
Than to moan and groan...
And choosing something that is liked,
Will...
Make living life better,
To chase away what has gone.
Get up determined to feel grateful...
Everyday.
Get up determined to feel loved...
Everyday.
Get up determined to confess...
Blessings!
And...
Do this for yourself everyday.
Waking up and giving 'thanks',
Should dawn.
And...
Do this for yourself everyday.

Wait

Wait
Surprise there.
Everyday newday

Message afresh.

If Every Day Could Be Christmas
If every day could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
Christmas lights up the city
Roof tops covered in snow
Lover's sharing a slay ride cuddled close
And their eyes seem to glow
Window shopping on Main Street
Bundled up head to toe
The childeren ice-skating around the tree
I see smiles young and old
If every day could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
Church bells ring in the distance
Peace on earth fills the air
Side-walk Santa's handing out candy-canes
I feel love everywhere (everywhere)
If everyday could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
It's the time
we open up and give from the heart
Let love shine baby this time
If every day could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
If every day could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
If everyday could be Christmas

Everyday Is Like Sunday
[ morrissey ]
Trudging slowly over wet sand
Back to the bench where your clothes were stolen
This is a coastal town
That they forgot to close down
Armagedon - come armagedon come armagedon come
Everyday is like sunday
Everyday is silent and grey
Hide on a promanade
Etch on a post card:
How I dearly wish I was not here
In the seaside town
That they forgot to bomb
Come, come nuclear bomb!
Everyday is like sunday
Everyday is silent and grey
Trudging back over pebbles and sand
And a strange dust lands on your hands
(and on your face)
Everyday is like sunday
Win yourself a cheap tray
Share some grease tea with me
Everyday is silent and grey

Everyday It Rains
(chorus)
Everyday it rains
Everyday it rains cause things will never be the same
Everyday it rains
Things will never change cause I am not the one to blame
How can I try to make you understand that im
Only living a lie
cause I have to walk around everyday
With a smile
Everyday
(chorus)
Waking every morning knowing youre not there
Is the only thing that gets me scared
All I do is think of you and all the love we shared
Everyday
It keeps on rainin in my life
It rains
And every days the same
Baby you brightened up my life
So realize
Everyday it rains yeah
Things will never be the same
I am not the one to blame
Just because it rains everyday oh
Im not the one to blame
Believe me when I say that it rains everyday
Got a cloud over me all the time and i
Dont know why it rains
It rains and rains
(chorus)
Waking every morning knowing youre not there
Is the only thing that gets me scared
I dont know when youre comin home
But Ill be waiting with open arms
Believe me when it rains
It rains for real

A Sunday Kind of Woman
I can only imagine for our worlds are far apart
How it would feel to hold this woman mouth to mouth heart to heart
I guess it's a good thing dreaming's free
What would a Sunday kind of woman
A Sunday kind of woman want an everyday man like me.
I've had lots of nightlife women you've seen one you've seen 'em all
And I wake up in the morning and I turn and face the wall
And long for someone special's company
But would a Sunday kind of woman
A Sunday kind of woman love an everyday man like me.
But would a Sunday kind of woman
A Sunday kind of woman love an everyday man like me.

Seven Days
seven days was all she wrote
A kind of ultimatum note
She gave to me, she gave to me
When I thought the field had cleared
It seems another suit appeared
To challenge me, woe is me
Though I hate to make a choice
My options are decreasing mostly rapidly
Well well see
I dont think shed bluff this time
I really have to make her mine
Its plain to see
Its him or me
Monday, I could wait till tuesday
If I make up my mind
Wednesday would be fine, thursdays on my mind
Fridayd give me time, saturday could wait
But sundayd be too late
The fact that hes six feet ten
Might instill fear in other men
But not in me, the mighty flea (flee? )
Ask if I am mouse or man
The mirror squeaked, away I ran
Hell murder me in time for his tea
Does it bother me at all
My rival is neanderthal, it makes me think
Perhaps I need a drink
Iq is no problem here
We wont be playing scrabble for her hand I fear
I need that beer
Monday, I could wait till tuesday
If I make up my mind
Wednesday would be fine, thursdays on my mind
Fridayd give me time, saturday could wait
But sundayd be too late
Seven days will quickly go
The fact remains, I love her so
Seven days, so many ways
But I cant run away
Monday, I could wait till tuesday
If I make up my mind
Wednesday would be fine, thursdays on my mind
Fridayd give me time, saturday could wait
But sundayd be too late
Do I have to tell a story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met
Its a big enough umbrella
But its always me that ends up getting wet

Why should we only wait a promise?
Why should we only wait a promise?
Only be passive and wait
The promise that is going more far and far everyday
Why should we only wait a promise?
The promise from a man rules in the sky
When your neighbor waits outside
Why should we only wait a promise?
Why do you not embrace with hope
The promise you wait is already running towards you
